there is no possibility to reach GZ due to a brandnew fence with barbed wire! So .... .?
Checked this one out with Goldenwattle. Both our Garmins agreed on GZ but there was no cache to be found within 10- 15 meters.
The grass seeds and other annoying, clingy, seeds made this search rather painful and unpleasant this time of the year.

Day seven at time to head home
Had a wonderful time caching and Big thanks to Mister JD
A few quick ones on the drive home
This was my second attempt and if not for the help of mister JD would have missed it again
Not sure how long this one will be active as a new Barbwire fence has been put up so getting to the cache was a little tricky
Weather is great !

Off we go again on another fun filled geomission with Rapidlywild and the two ladies of the FurfacesLL This time we decided to target Batemans Bay to Tuross and surrounds as none of us had yet to make any finds at these locations. Luckily for us the rain eased mid morning so that meant the rest of the day was reasonably dry-good for caching!. An 8am start and 3am finish meant we were all geobuggered, but as always we had lots of laughs and a great day was had by all
We made our way down from the car to make the nice easy find. We watched the rapids flowing under the bridge from the recent downpour as we signed the log
Thanks for the hide, derf10

A geomission was planned with Rapidlywild and specimenX and as no one in the group had collected any smileys down the coast the location was decided. The week of wet weather threatened for the mission to be cancelled, however the rain eased and the mission was going ahead. We awoke to overcast skies and headed off down the highway ready for a big adventure and big day, some of the group with sleepy eyes. Thanks again ladies for great day and lots of laughs we are looking forward to our next one.
We pulled off the road and headed off down to the river side, the rain over the past couple of days made the view interesting. Found quickly, TFTC

The weekend was here, and there was a location that had not been violated by myself, specimenX and the FurfacesLL ladies, so the location was revealed and we were off to the coast and surrounds. The sky was not in our favor all week and it was touch and go, but the final call was made Friday night and we were all go for an early morning Saturday for a wet coast expedition. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of experiences that I had never had before, a lot of blonde moments and a lot of caches found. What a wonderful day we had over a period of 18+ hours, many many km's and seen lots of the coast
River was flowing fast with some strong rapids today, glad I didnt have to go in there!
Thanks for the find derf10

Pulled off the road back to Goulburn and took the track on the LHS after the bridge, parked near the first bend. It's been raining heavily over the last few days and the track was a little like a river with water cascading down the erosion gullies. Was only light rain when started down the well formed track to GZ. Under the bridge to look at the art gallery then into the cleared area, the river flowing rapidly below. GPS was directing me to a promising area, then took me past it to another that looked equally likely. I had a particular object in mind and this was almost my downfall. With preconceived notions of what I was looking I ruled out the area first favoured by the GPS for other hiding areas. GPS then started to wonder at this point which did not help. Eventually took me back to the first area where I eventually found what I came for. Thanks Derf10 for an interesting spot. Certainly signs of plenty of wombat activity, but none seen. TNLN, cache in good shape.
Took afew moments to find and was pleased when I did. Signed log & replaced. Thanks again Derf10.
Heading back from a Wet coast. Parked car at rest area, then had to figure out how to cross the river
and on top of that spent a good 10mins looking for the cache. Had I read the clue it would have been
easier:-) Thanks, a neat hiding spot.

Difficult terrain especially on a wet day. Slipped over on a giant ant nest close to the cache. Glad we found it after that. Met a fellow cacher Donna
Well I was right. The couple in Braidwood that I thought were geocachers beat me to this one. In fact I almost stumbled over them before I saw them though they had seen me. My sincerest apologies to them. Drizzle continues and although the farmers will be very happy and I am happy to be out geocaching, starting to realise that it may not be the best for the caches. Soon had cache in hand. SL TNLN TFTC derf10
Found with Gonefishen07 and Anderka's help a little not a fun cache to do late at night. TFTC
Found with zobo04 and some help from Anderka. This one wasn't much fun in the dark. Had a bit of trouble finding then spent the next 10 minutes getting the sticky weed thingies from our cloths. I bet this river setting is a good one in daylight but as we are only had a couple days it night caching for us. Tftc
#1330 - 11:35; Another one of the 'to do' list when I had the chance to pull over and grab this cache on the way to the coast for the "A Decade of Discovery - Celebrating Wasp Head EC" Event. Made my way to GZ and after a short search had cache in hand and log signed. Nice view across the river and upstream to the bridge. I had logged the cache on the other side many months back, so it was nice to finally get this one off the list today. TFTC derf10
Good hide!! It was exactly where you said it was, but hard to find!! TFTC. The Shoalhaven was running nicely, and the geoSchnauzers enjoyed the walk.
I walked around the log at GZ without finding the cache; then I checked other logs and still couldn't find the cache.
Found while on a trip to Canberra, this one gave us quite a workout but got it in the end. SL. TFTC
Quick find with O319 on a loop through Captains Flat, Braidwood and Bungendore. TFTC
Found with Simone. Took a lot of walking to find this one, although if we'd followed the 4WD track, we would have got there a lot easier. Look for a fallen tree near a very large anthill, close to the river. There are lots to choose from!
Found it. Took TB. Lots of long grass wear good shoes and long pants. Saw a blue tongue under the log. BEWARE!!!!
Stopped on the way back from the coast. Took a little while to locate but eventually found by WickedFysh. Left TB. TFTC
I've driven past this one so many times since knowing it was here but just never stopped to make the find. No excuses today. Stopped and a quick find.

A longish stop at the picnic area across the river. Mum had the bub to feed.
The older son and I went caching across the river.
This one did not out fox us.
It was a little damp though, log in good condition though.
Thanks for the find.

I have driven past here many times so I was glad to finally hike over and cross this one off my list. The only evidence of the cache name was signs of a local wombat that lives near the cache. There is a nice area to camp for the night on the other side of the river. Left a geo-coin, thanks.
Left the geokiddies & geowife down by the river while Dopplefrog and I went for this one.
Took a long time to find... for a simple cache.

Out on a caching run with with the Jmanjezza clan.
We got to the apparent GZ fairly quickly, but this cache is actually quite well hidden, so took a fair bit of hunting around before we finally discovered it.
There was also a slug guarding keeping any eye on things.

Found after a short search.. Hint wasn't much help, too many to choose from.. TFTC
After a bit of cross-country bush bashing we found a well hidden cache that was more small than regular. A great view of the river here with some brave campers having a swim. SL TNLN TFTC
4th on a 2 day cache safari. After about half an hour and nearly quitting, we finally found the cache. A lot of new growth made it difficult. Cheers
Waited in the car for this one
there was no way i was hiking through the bush in 30 degree weather
had a massive laugh when ThaPatio mentioned she fell into a Wombat hole
while trying to escape DaPhoenix letting off toxic bombs
Thank gosh I stayed well clear from that : )

Worst luck with this one. With the smells coming from Daphoenix not to mention falling down a rabbit hole. But a Great cache!
Our 3rd cache on the way to the bay.
Found a way down however thapatio managed to step on ground above a wombat hole only for it to cave in. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Great Cache. TFTC

OK this took a little bit of finding. First working out how to get in off the road, then because it wasn't in the obvious spots. Eventually got there. Thanks for a nice spot by the Shoalhaven.
Grabbed this one while saying across the river for a night. Beautiful area, pity about all the rubbish.

a nice walk down to GZ soon located cache and enjoyed the surroundings, except as we walked back to the car we noticed so many burrs in our shoes and socks took us about 15 minutes to remove them never seen such sticky little devils, cache was great and thank you so much for placing it
Edge creeper was very close to Gz but then I just moved something with my foot to discover the prize before he did - once again ! lol
Once again while stumbling arond GZ, Fasthopper again had it in her hands. I got leave her at home I think..lol
A lovely spot even though the grass was still wet at about midday. We wondered in from "A Hole filled - GCQEA8" Nice walk down to cache, thank you
A terrific part on a beautiful river.
Well worth the walk from the car, thanks for bringing me here derf10

What a beautiful day for caching. I even commented to Mr Downer while walking to the cache, you don`t think the snakes will be out do you!!!! We have spent the weekend at the campground on the other side and it is just fantastic. Tftc
I liked this one. It's amazing how much traffic goes past when you stop and watch, even on a winters day during the week. TFTC
A great place to camp, just so sad to see so many dead wombats on the side of the road. Also it was the coldest morning ever. TFTH
Found with jusojara, well the river looked so good. The seeds from the plants were horrible. Made a quick find drove up to about 40 meters away TFTC
Second for the day with mr_roo and after initially parking up top we realised where we should go and parked much closer. We made a nice easy find in the end although it took up longer to remove those annoying, sticky little seed thingamajigs than it did to retrieve the cache [B)]
Thankfully I didnt see any of the name sake as I made it to GZ but that was probably due to the rain falling.
Found the cache after a short search.
I noticed the shrine near the access point had a fresh candle burning. RIP mate
Thanks

One of 43 caches found for the day, 31 December 2010, in a big run to get my 1000 GC caches for 2010. Phew, what a day, got to 1001 for 2010. Canberra, Cooma, Braidwood, Bungendore, Wamboin, Goulburn, Thanks everyone, some great spots too.
Driving down the coast and a quick 4WD detour to (almost) GZ. Walked through a lot of flowering grasses so picked up a few hitchickers (aka thorns and thistles) but the cache was worth it. GOod to see the river flowing again - I haven't seen that for years. TFTC
Nice spot, was sitting right on top of it, having decided to enjoy the view after being attacked by burrs. Also some of the largest ants you've ever seen - watch the toes!
Found with Torrevieja who came out much worse for wear in terms of burrs - my thongs won out this time! TFTC

A find whilst out on a caching run with Black Bunny and Just a Cacher.
Thanks for the cache! Sorry it's taken so long to log this.

Found with Candy Cane 101 and Black Bunny on a day trip to the coast, to get some of the caches we missed out on, yesterday.
Pleasant walk through the long grass to the general area - no foxes, wonbats, kangaroos OR snakes seen today. It took us some time to find this one, partly due to the GPSr not wanting to play the game, but Black Bunny found it in the end.

Out on a run to pick up a few caches with Just a Cacher and Candy Cane 101. This one almost had us stumped as I was looking for something bigger, but spied something not quiet right and had the cache in hand. SL TFTC
Arriving from ACT, on the right side of the bridge! Grass was high and indeed, hit wombat holes. bit of a search at the WP, then we found it - lady_YY and The Arkaroo. Nice weather!
Found this one after checking out the new Nerriga-Nowra road, which is a great run!
I walked around and around GZ, was just about to give up, when I looked back, moved a few bits n pieces, and discovered the cache! I think I'd been looking for something bigger.
Thnaks for the cache derf10, nice spot to stop!

Second time lucky for this one. TaurusSix and I spent too long looking for this one again. We knew it was there based on previous logs. While search we heard the crash of a falling tree (not the big one that's already fallen). Fotunately it was 20-30m from where we were, but on the route we followed to get to the cache. Once the cache was found we both exclaimed "but I looked there". I have not been so close without finding the cache for some time. Glad to gave found this one. TN left GPSr (we didn't realise until we were 13km away looking for another cache), then returned to take GPSr and leave nothing.
Searched high and low, under and over things, in and out of things. But just could not find it. After a good 15-20 minute search gave up because we had to get back onto the road on our way back home. Very disappointed. Might have to stop by again on our way back to the coast next time!
After walking the wrong way thanks the new! upgraded geocaching app on the iPhone, but once very near the coords gave many spots a thorough search and could not find anything.
Found this on the way back from a visit to Braidwood. Parked on the wrong side of the river first, once we got that sorted out it was a good hunt to find a well hidden cache. Had some first to find friends with us. Took Lucky Ducky with us, it wants to visit all fifty states, so - ACT NSW, who knows??? Thanks for the hunt.
looked around for a good 1/2 hour for this one without luck, next time maybe.
this cache took awhile even resorted to the hint which didnt help with the caches location - maybe its in the wrong spot? but it is close still
was just about to give up inbetween all the wombat, rabbit and roo sh*t when i noticed it in the courner of my eye

A pleasant stroll from the car and a nice view of the Shoalhaven River.
I searched and searched and after a while a well hidden cache was found. This was one of those situations where I wish I hadn't read the hint !
Coordinates were spot on !
Thanks for the cache, derf10 !

After a wander on foot over the bridge a quick find was in order. Suprised how many people were camping/ caravaning over the way. Thanks for the cache.

2 of 3 with the friends in tow... another great little find, Anderka was again brillient with muggle diversion tactics by striking a conversation with some Canberrans on the way to the coast - little did they now we were on the hunt for treasure! Enjoyed the search and with 6 of us looking it was rather chaotic, however found quickly by anderka & the teenagers.

Struck up a conversation with some born and bread Canberrans while the others investigated the surrounds. Cache run on the way from Auckland to the Megga Event in Wagga. Quick find once we were on the right side of the river T4TC.
Had a few camping muggles but didn't have much problem with finding the cache. Cheers Gav [5043]
