Sadly due to excessive vegetation track closure and major cache slippage I have reluctantly archived this cache. Thanks for all the interest over the years
We went for a walk with the dogs and a daughter after dropping my mum off for her second hip replacement and tried to find this one. The Vaughan Walk has been closed off due to a slip but hopped over the barrier thinking it wasn't far in. Unfortunately didn't find it so either it is gone or we suck at looking!
Dnf. There had been a land slip and a cyclone with lots of rain last week and I suspect cache washed away. Path was fenced off but climbed over and searched a long time.
Yeah, We found ist. Pretty easy to find, good for Kids, very nice Trail.
It was a beautiful day, so we decided we'd head out for a walk to grab some caches with lillianz who had finished work for the day/year. We thought about knocking off the Okura River Trail but decided we'd try for a shorter walk (little did we know we were setting out on a much longer one!).
This one didn't take too much of a search before we had the goods in hand

Off for a big walk as we near the end of 2016 with Loz47 and LilliaNZ. Quickly located the cache, in between muggles walking past.

Exploring Long Bay Regional Park/Reserve and doing some caching along the way. This took me a few minutes to find, as it wasn't in the first few spots I checked. I didn't mind spending more time here as the view was quite nice. Luckily, the hint was pretty clear, and the area to search wasn't too large. A thorough search further away from where my GPSr put GZ eventually uncovered the cache. Picked up two trackables to move along. Thanks for the cache!
This one took a lot longer to find than it should have. There were lots of muggles out today so we had to constantly stop and pretend to be admiring the view while the passed by. We obviously looked a little suspicious as one couple asked what we were looking for - they had seen us at a previous cache so knew we were looking for something! I explained geocaching to them, then after they had wandered off, we went back to the search and I made the find nowhere near a brown loggie and right by one of the first places I had looked
Not such an easy find, with many muggles passing over the boardwalk. We had to pretend to be sitting and admiring the view. Nice large and dry container so I left a couple of TBs for future finders.
Finally it stopped raining so we went to enjoy the sunshine and find some caches in the park.

A quick find here today, had to pass last time as muggles beaching right near GZ, even on return journey they were still there, today no one to be seen, TFTC
Hideeho Thanks for the cache Day three on our tour of Auckland, came for some hiking and to find some cache. Took two tries on this one could not find it on the way in, but looked again on the way out.
Nice geocache hunting along the cliffs despite some quick and violent rain showers, the soil is full of water, please stop raining !!
We came back by the beach at low tide, a lovely walk.
Fefe.adrien and I signed on logbooks : Lekiprokos.

Despite the rain and the mud, Ninalila and I tried to find as many caches as possible during our walk.
All the boxes were easy to find, and we didnt searched the one with a previous DNF to avoid wasting time under the rain We had to hide under trees a few times because we were already wet haha
We came back by the beach with the low tide.
Almost at the end of the track, we spent some time feeding cows with some yummy plants
I logged the cache with the wrong date (4th Oct instead of the 3rd, i noticed it too late)
We signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos
Thank you for the cache and the discovery

Nice spot to rest and chill. Good hiding place fora cache. Left a abra Pokemon for him to chill and snooze in this nice spot.
I'm glad I read the hint or I would have been halfway down the slope. I looked for the Wee Brown Loggie, but found the cache in the Wee Open. I hid it behind a Wee Brown Loggie for the next cacher. TFTC.
Found it! Fortunately I didn't have to do any stream wadding! Also took some lovely snaps from the cache location.
Nice quick find on our family walk to Granny's Bay - little girl was very pleased to get here, mummy was less pleased that I'd found some "treasure" to look at here, and baby slept throughout.
Cache number 2 on a nice Good Friday sjourn.... ot been to this part of Long Bay
I thought I would make a start on cleaning out the Long Bay ones today. I didn't have too much time but I still thought I'd make a start. Last year we had some family photos infront of the old homestead, so it was nice to return to grab a smiley. TFTC
Sorry this was meant for another cache. This one my Gps was bouncing around a bit. I just thought of the clue a bit more and widened my search. Bingo cache in hand. TFTC.
Nice easy find. We should have read attributes though. We had planned a big ride here but no bikes allowed ohh well
Tftc. Nice quick find but the whole area was muggle central today so decided to come back another time to fininsh off long beach.

TFTC. Such a beautiful beach! Visiting from South Africa. Took a while, I was looking in the wrong spot! But being a Bette Midler fan, found it!
The bigger the cache the harder it is to find..lol
Lots of muggies around today using the track & so Hot !!
Just about to give up when finally made the grab. Thanks

Out with Bay7 today hoping to get a few caches in this area but it's just too hot! We Scrambled around here far longer than it needed to be, blame the heat! finally found
Quick visit before present opening and pen out of action. Removed junk and will be back with pencil
Talk about an amazing storm! Had the beach pretty much to myself. Replaced broken pen left AA Batteries
I originally spent about 15 minutes looking for this cache but it was not to be... so i continued on my walk... met up with gorby, rustynz and jag50 and then they revealed that it was still there! so rusty and i waled back around at the end of our walk to pick up this one for me. if she hadn't been there to point it out to me i probably would not have found it. thanks for the cache.
After lunching at the nearby Christmas event and chatting with friends, a group of us decided to take a bit of a walk to find a few of the caches along the bay. The weather was stunning and very warm! such a lot of photo opportunities to be had at every turn, but we also had caching to do so spent a bit of time rummaging around the undergrowth as well
Unclesam had found this one previously and it seemed that maybe there had been some cache creep over time, however MrNZT made the find relatively easily with his GPS on target! Nice sized cache and yet another wonderful vista! Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC!

The thing behind the wee brown loggie had gone for a wee walk to the bush just nearby. But, even though it was quite exposed out there, I had trouble spotting it Put it back (hopefully) more appropriately.
Thanks for the cache!

After the pre-Christmas catch up event nearby, a few fellow cachers and I decided to go for a bit of a walk around this gorgeous spot and find a few caches.
A reasonably quick find here, although we did spend a minute or two hunting in a couple of possible locations. We had a previous finder with us, who seemed to think it was not exactly where he remembered it! Still, a good hide and a nice sized container!

An early morning arrival at the park and meeting up with Rustynz and Gorby and we located this one early in the peace. What a great morning
2nd DNF today. 5 pairs of eyes could not track this one down. A children's fantasy movie is being shot on the beach not far from cache location. They have an electrical cable running alongside the boardwalk. Not sure if they discovered the cache when setting up........
Our group came over from the top! and zigged and zagged our way down the track. With the help of an earlier cachers hint, harisree soon had the cache in hand
Its been a long day, almost 6 hours, so its time to make our way back to the car. Thanks for creating this cache, its amazing all the work that has been done in improving the tracks and bridges.

Came down the hill to this cache with Mrs harisree and rustynz, we stood on the boardwalk for a moment then Mrs H jumped off and started a search elsewhere (according to the hint) and soon had the cache in hand, well done!! Me and rusty stayed on the boardwalk while the log was passed up for rusty to sign. Now we are heading back to our cars, it has been an awesome day so far.
had an amazing day of caching here with rustynz,rebel98 and gorby. on the way back to the car, we picked up this. after a small search, found the right brown log. tftc
Initially I was looking in the wrong area which had me scrambling on my knees, but after reading some other logs I quickly found it. Love finding big sized caches! TFTC!
Spending a Sunday afternoon in long bay looking for some caches. I'm a bit overdue with logging these caches.
Nice cache.
Nice cache.
Found quickly by a bit of a fluke, was directly behind me where I was looking, turned around and tada. TFTC
Lovely spot. My daughter swapped some goodies... But the lip balm wasn't very appealing!
Came here on a school trip and managed to sneak in a couple of caches with the kids! Had to be sneaky! Left a wee dinosaur. Tftc!
Looked in the wrong place for a loooooong time . So much for the hint ! got really grubby and wet and dirty where I was looking .....was totally ready to give up when I saw something white out of the corner of my eye ....Well , I never would have looked there !!!!
It is possible this cache is not in it's correct place any more ......
