Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Day six of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNES. We are heading up North visiting Gracie's GPS Fun. This was a stop on the way.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks Rumo and Rala & 2 Hopefuls for placing this geocache 7789 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

The hint was perfect. The school holidays are here and NosyNel and I are on a road trip north - to the far north. TFTC. Signed NNES.

I am visiting Northland for the first time is some 29 years, seeing some friends that have recently moved up here. Today was really just supposed to be a lazy day, after driving almost 800km in the last 2 days, but I can't be trusted to not jump in the car and do a bit of local exploring
Having parked up around the corner, I walked back to look for this cache. The Hint made it a quick and easy find, and luckily for me there wasn't much traffic around, apart from 1 guy in a car that tooted at me as I was just standing at GZ, so either he thought he knew me, or else it was a local cacher who guessed at what I was up to.
I took care of the usual caching admin, then replaced everything back exactly as I found it before heading back to the car to check out a few more around here.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Decided to try and get 9 Caches on my drive back to Auckland airport! Why 9? Because then I will have 930 and will only have 70 left to get my 1000! This is 3 of 9. Tftc
Found it after standing for what seemed like ages waiting for a break in the traffic!

A well hidden cache, and delightful story to go with it. Thanks for bringing us here.
Rain on Friday, no luck️ but sunny spells today shone a bright light on this cache! #20/20 in Mangawhai! New Eutopia cafe opens soon across the road. Tftc.
Hello from the UK. 5 weeks travelling around NZ. Picking up caches where I can. Nice easy find here. TFTC
On our way up north, heading for Whangarei tonight. This was a quick find. Afterwards we had refreshments in the cafe, the best iced coffee ever!

Mal schauen, was noch kommt.
We started the day with two more caches in the near of our campground. Even the one we couldn't find yesterday evening was done. Both are tricky hides but we found them thanks to the hints and a bit of imagination. On our way further to the north were a lot of caches - we couldn't do them all. So we picked some of them and could find all of them. The B-Cache was an exciting one, because of the nest next to the box; we had to be very careful (see picture). Later on we came into the Kauri area and some caches had also to do with Kauri (Kauri stump, Kauri museum, Kauri Forrest,...). The one in Dargaville was a nice one and we found it without help from the info staff. Just before we arrived at the campground Top of the hill, we had one last cache at the roast of Rawene. An easy one if you are tall enough - Mrs fleuchi was not.

Quick find with CreasyBear. We are on our way up north and decided to stop off at the cheese shop and buy lots of cheese! That’s dinner sorted tonight! Off to find a camp spot now, TFTC!
Good stop for taking photos and the new cafe they build there..I am from Switzerland an found it courages with a beatle on it..Thanks from Swiss guy !!
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache after a few minutes search, thanks.
We are on vacation in New Zealand and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one!

This was a quick stop on the way home from Whangarei and a chance to let the geohound stretch his legs and a couple of other things (his version of a smiley find) and the cache was just the right distance from the car for a stroll. Rocked up to GZ and made good sense of the hint - even so missed on the first pass in the twilight but found with the help of the light on the phone on the second look. Nice to see this 10 year old cache going strong. Wished I'd seen the logs to bring a replacement log for you but didn't sorry. Hopefully another cache will change this out for you. Regardless, thanks for the cache, container is in good nick.
I went to school in Kaiwaka in the 1960s but rarely come this far north these days, so I made a point of getting this cache for old times sake. Thanks.

Over here in Kaiwaka for the NZ Venture from Western Australia, managed to get this cache to mark being here. TFTH
I first went where I thought the cache would be hidden, but then returned to my starting point and walked over to the correct GZ. The cache was nicely hidden. TFTC.
It’s taken a while to get around to logging these finds on the computer but in December of 2018 I tagged along with Scoria for a trip north of the Bombay’s to get a few out of region caches under my belt, target a couple of D/T gaps and partake in a couple of cooperative caches with cachers that were state side as well. Have set my find date to match Scoria’s since we were there together, apologies for the lateness and generic nature of the log.
Thanks for the cache and the opportunity to flesh out more of my stats

Heading up to Auckland with D6NZ to complete a multi faceted mission and try to fill in a couple of D/Ts.
We decided that as neither of us had previously cached in Northland, that we would take this opportunity to venture a little further north so that hopefully we could limit our future exposure to the Auckland area and all the hassles it brings.
This was our first Northland find before heading up to spend a little time up in Whangarei doing a little site seeing.
Cache took a little longer to spot than it should of with D6 finally spotting the hide.
Note log book was full.
Cheers.

Northland Day 5: Last day in Northland before heading back to Auckland. Started off on a foggy morning in Whangarei to pick up some of the Onerahi caches, before slowly working my way to town and heading south to Auckland through the Bream Bay Beaches. Lovely weather today, and a great finale to the Northland trip!
The following is the specific log for each cache:
Rejoined the SH1 south after a little jaunt to the Bream Bay Coast. This one was a quick one at the junction town, and was found very quickly thanks to the hint. Very interesting story in the description, I must say. TFTC!

22499 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Paihia back to Auckland. But first we visited the treaty ground museum. Around there were the first 2 caches of today. Along the road we had again the popular GB1 trail caches, but now on the other side of the road but also many other stops were made on the sunny day.
Finaly 1 cache near the hotel was found.
Most caches were a fast find, some took more time. Stamping on waterproof paper stays difficult.
Rumo and Rala TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

A fitting find given the Royals (Duke and Duchess of Sussex) are in town. Pity high tea was closed.
Making our way back home to auckland after a drive out on this sunny saturday.Parked up near by and made a quick find whilst surprisingly no traffic passing by.
Cool find on the way home from a school holiday roadie. Saw it from down below. Kids enjoyed this one. TFTC

Today I had some time to spare to go and find a few caches. After finding the new cache at Tinopai, I found a few more caches as I drove back to the main highway and then southwards back towards Auckland. Once I interpreted the hint correctly, the cache was quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
Quick find after our lunch stop. Heading south to the east coast. Thanks for hiding.
On the way back from Auckland to Whangarei I needed a cache for the day so this was a good one to get. Took a while to find but spied eventually from under. Yes I would say this is 'a good place' Kaiwaka is very nice. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find on the way South. We say TFTC and greetings from Germany. The landscape is a mix between Irland and tropicals. Very beautiful.
#9813. Enjoyed following the story and thanks for leading us to this good place in Kaiwaka on New Year’s Day. There was a bit of traffic on the road, but GZ itself was pretty quiet. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. The magic book looked all filled in already, but managed to find an empty page near the end to write our name on. Perhaps we have reached the quota given for the number of people to see the secret Eutopia? Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

On our way north to the lovely Bay of Islands with my son for a couple of days rnr. So decided to take the West coast road. Stopped in for early dinner at the local tavern. Enjoyed a scrumptious chix schnitz. Cach only a short distance away. Interesting fairytale ... good clues, easy find after a short search & rechecked the clue. Lovely little town.
Needed a cache to keep the 2017 streak going, so stopped off on the way South today to look for this one. With the good clue, was a nice quick find without making me late for work. TFTC
#3999. The last day of my short visit to Auckland and closing in on 4000 finds. Decided a trip up north was in order to pick up a special cache. Just needed to find 14 other caches on the way. Parked across the road and walked back. Several muggles parked in nearby cars so mucked around on the bridge looking at the stream until they lost interest in me. Then felt for the cache and soon had it in hand. Signed the log and replaced where found. Thanks for the cache.
On our way home from a trip North with Squirrel nutcase and Gap from FapandGap. It was very late now but I needed a couple more caches to compete a challenge cache and this fitted in perfectly the others waited in car as they have found this previously I made a quick find then it was back to the car and home hopefully.

Continue along A1 road north. We parked on the other side, where there Cafe Eutopia on the photos. Just only by listing I thought it was cache about a small café across the houses. But from the photographs I find that it is dedicated to the cafe of the ship. Pity it's already closed.
Thanks for the cache.

We are on our way from Auckland to the north. The landscape is very varied and the streets go up and down. Of course, we had to sign the one or the other cache, of course. A nice area.

The coordinates were a bit off - probably the gps still asleep - following the hint we found the cache anyway. Must have been a funny place to visit. Thanks for showing!
Here a this place i turned around today, as i had made an afternoon trip north from Auckland. After a short search, that was undisturbed, i found the small, hidden treasure and put my name to the log. Unfortunately my entrance into Utopia was not possible today, since it's closed for Renovation, but what i was able to see, was very nice.

Time to head back down the line after my week in Whangarei. Was originally planning to stay in Hamilton, but didn't realise the All Blacks were playing there tonight, so then looked at Taupo, but all accommodation is booked out there too, so Rotorua ended up being my target for the day, caching on the way. Stopped her in my way north, but couldn't search as it was quite busy with muggles including a hitchhiker. No problem today and the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC
