In Canberra for a few days after hubby had a fallen on some oysters, trying for a cache (obviously), needing some medical attention.Having this in the solved pile, it was a matter of finding it today. I made it harder than it should have been. Someone needs to do some de-cobwebbing and cleaning around here. Thanks CBR900RR for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Four years ago, a Bromance team adventure to hike Australia's highest 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park was cancelled after bushfires devastated the Snowy Mountains (and indeed most of the Eastern seaboard). We finally returned to Kosciuszko National Park a few days ago and have just spent three wonderful days in perfect weather hiking a circuit around the mountains climbing Australia's 13 highest peaks and collecting all the alpine caches along our route. After a recovery night and a few selected virtual caches in Canberra last night, the plan today is to grab some further chosen caches around Canberra before heading north late afternoon and caching on the way to Goulburn. This is my son's favourite game, a new found addiction. I have even been watching the recent World Championships live on youtube with him. No problems with the puzzle. Seff made a quick find here in a likely spot thanks to the hint. The log may be been signed or perhaps stamped with our Bromance team stamp. Many thanks CBR900RRPete#7,685

Crookedpete, JezNDez and I were part of a group of 7 geocachers from Brisbane who set off on a 3 day hike to climb to the summit of 13 of the highest mountains in Kosciuszko National Park. Originally this hike was supposed to have been undertaken after Xmas in 2019 but the rampant bushfires closed the park just as I was picking up my fellow team members from Sydney Airport. Now, four years later and it is finally mission accomplished, and we are slowly making the drive back to Queensland, collecting a number of caches on our to-do list along the way.Did a lap of the area before finding a temporary parking spot a short distance away. Found the cache quite exposed so replaced a little more tucked away (and where I usually find caches hidden like this) after signing the logbook. TFTC

Nice hiding place
Took a few minutes to find
Thanks for the cache

# 8398 Solved this one back in December 2019, but only collected now. I gather there was a pool room down there. Just mystified office staff now.
Thanks CBR900RR

#3022 Cued my way through the balls and came up with the solved coordinates about a month ago. While working Southside I took the opportunity to take on the final search. The Geo senses were finely tuned today as I had the cache within moments. Thanks CBR900RR for preparing the puzzle and placing the cache!

Had this one solved for many months but finally had the opportunity to dash across the road to GZ where, after a short hunt, I was signing the log. All in good condition and TFTC CBR900RR

Found by Mary and David at 18:25. We're in Canberra after the Wangaratta Mega for a RAAF Reunion to celebrate 60 years since David's Course began. Had dinner at Hogs Breath, and noticed that this was nearby. Had solved during one of our many lockdowns in Melbourne. Our thanks to CBR900RR.

We solved this one yonks ago but didn't find it on our first, evening, attempt under the watchful gaze of diners in the nearby establishment.

After reaching out to a previous finder for some guidance, a quick pickup while we were in the area today. Whilst the cache is undoubtedly magnetic, I still don't understand the rest of the hint based on where it's located...

Thanks, CBR900RR.

Tftc , our 5th day in ACT, cherry picking caches that we need for challenges, D/T, or type / size.
Plenty of solved mysteries also to pick up.
This is one , quick find at GZ cache is in good condition.

I have had quite a couple of attempts of this cache and never could find it. However, previous logs and pictures were confirming I was searching in the correct location. But about 10 minutes into the search I eyed a location that I hadn't searched yet and there was the cache. Lots of different logs in there so it might need to get cleared a bit. Quick sign and replace then off my way. The cameras nearby must be spying a lot of geocachers Wink TFTC CBR900RR!!

Normally I’m good on the photos but today I was a little off my game so here is a photo of my pixie kitty instead. ??

A night out in the pouring rain grabbing some caches with K8TYBEE and GLISS! Love our Wednesday night adventures. Glad I attempted this with a team as my solved coords were waaay off. Thanks for the funky puzzle. Thanks for the cache.

Found with nibletricecakes and k8tybee in the pouring rain. I've had this one solved for ages, so great to turn it into a smiley. TFTC.

Easier than I first thought but a great find nonetheless. Back in the early nineties this also was my favourite haunt. This despite my lack of ability on the full size table.

Had solved this puzzle and signed well over a year ago now and completely forgot to log it. It was a bit of a tricky find I recall.

Grateful thanks to CO for placing and maintaining this cache ??

There is a 2020 GC Community Event in ACT today and having a free day, I decided to head over. Along the way, I also found a few other caches. These included some pre-solved & post-solved mystery caches and a couple of Trads. I ended up with 7 finds and 1 event which makes 8 Big Grin’s added to my find list. Many fun times were had by all and it was great to catch up many people who I hadn’t seen in quite some time. As for the other caches, they were all in great shape and have plenty of room on the logbooks/sheets. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and others. Big Grin TFTC’s & TFTE Big Grin

Now our little group was just two people, [@Aykayem](http://coord.info/PR7TDQP) and myself. We decided on attempting these two solved caches as we were just down the road from them. Both were quick finds and we were very surprised that they are still there after being there for twelve years. They also both have the original logsheets as well, which was even more surprising. As for the puzzles, they have been in the solved list since 2016, so it feels great to have finally found these caches. TFTC Big Grin

I've been turning my attentions to a few puzzle caches lately and this one was easy to resolve - just a little research required. I took a break from my regular studies for a few minutes and learnt a lot about snooker instead!
Today after dropping the geoute in for a service I meandered past gz and made the find - nice and easy with no one much around - just a few commuting muggles driving past on this cool and cloudy morning.
I recall as a kid my dad watching 'Pot Black' on tv in the early 80's - I sometimes wondered how the audience could see the action on the table through the haze of cigarette smoke! Wink

F(H)ound It! #3712 @ 12:35 PM

A perfect day of safe caching with SpecimenX. A holiday with occasional rain made it easier to grab a few urban caches due to there being fewer muggles about.

SpecX and I discussed how its been many years since we solved this one but neither of us have been able to get it with so many muggles around. Cold and rainy now so we thought we had the opportunity to finally grab this one. I was amazed at how quickly SpecX dived on this one which is good because there actually was some muggles nearby.

Thanks CBR900RR

Today I teamed up with my geobuddy ZimbaW and her trusty geopup, Freda, for some south side suburban caching whilst all the muggles were away Big Grin

I've had this one solved and sitting in the unfound pile for YEARS! Have attempted it once but aborted the mission due to too many muggles. But today, the place was quiet so we crossed over the road to start the search. I dived in and made the find. then ZimbaW did the sign! Happy to have this one finally found! Big Grin

Thanks for the hide, CBR900RR Cool

I'd solved this one quite some time ago and even had an unsuccessful attempt on an earlier visit to Capital City. Red Face Needing fuel before tomorrow's trip over to the coast though, I took the opportunity for another search given that we were staying nearby.

Just as it was starting to look like another fail, I finally spotted the little blighter right were 2upoj had been telling me it would be at 16:05. Phew. Smile

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks at last) CBR900RR.

I met my husband at Pot Black nearly 40 years ago. I beat him in a game of snooker and we fell in love.

Solved by barb2e and we were out this way early on Christmas Day with no one around. Even so, I certainly felt exposed here with the windows and cameras. Must be fun for security to watch people searching for this. Luckily it was a quick find. TFTC!

We have arrived at Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega event and found some caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.

An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

19-Apr-19
Found on Good Friday while attending the Clear Waters Mega event at Queanbeyan.

Today I teamed up with a few interstate cachers to find a varied selection of unknown caches, multis, traditionals, wherigos and letterbox hybrids that we had targeted.

Once again were were fortunate to have some great weather for it.

Thanks CBR900RR for the puzzle and the cache.

19-Apr-19
Out and about with Budgietas and e.gregory1 during the Mega. Budgietas wanted to find this one after having solved it some time ago. I remember this particular cache after having found it a couple of weeks ago because we had a slight muggle problem. Fortunately they were more interested in lunch and talking to each other rather than observing the strange goings on outside the window.

Found this cache during an epic three days at the mega event in clearwaters.

TFTC and placing this cache for our enjoyment.

I solved this one a while ago & was in the area today with the geoson & parked in the Hog's Breath carpark for the quick walk to GZ. He was fascinated by what was going on through the windows while I made a quick find. & luckily it was a quick find, as the Wilson parking inspector was walking towards my car when we got back. Fun puzzle & TFTC!

I'd solved this one YEARS go. I'm going for an operation on my shattered arm next Friday, and I'll be out of action for driving for a couple of weeks. So I'm collecting UGC Challenge qualifications to keep my streak going. Today I'm cleaning up the Whereigo qualification, and I've just finished the one up the road. I reckoned I might as well collect this one as well. However, I couldn't find it. I'll be back.

Gotta love a sports puzzle - found with geofamily on New Years day 2018. Easy find after looking through previous activities. Thanks for this cool puzzle and hide!

31-Dec-17
An interesting bit of research yielded the necessary knowledge to produce some decent looking coordinates. But then following up actually stopping and taking the short walk to GZ took me a couple of years... Bit of a tricky hide, but by looking around corners I managed to spot it.

TNLN - Thanks CBR900RR!

20-Dec-17
Was with a friend the last time I was here and we couldn’t find it. Today AddictedGamer and I were with the family having dinner in Woden for AddictedGamer’s bday. As I didn’t have coords, I did know the game pretty well and with a little research as well I was able to calculate GZ without an issue. We had time for a walk after dinner and with the hint, AddictedGamer found this before I even got the pen out of my bag. I had to put it back, which took a little more effort for me than him, but all good and no one around to see our antics. Tftc!!!

08-Dec-17
Came across this puzzle only a few weeks ago and noticed it would be a really easy solve! I have a really nice pool/snooker table at home which is carved out of wood and been passed down the family so am familiar with the game and rules of snooker! I didn't know the specific numbers off the top of my head but I knew what they all meant so only took a quick search and I had the coords for GZ.

Today I was down in Woden at the hospital with family and we had an hour to kill. I suggested we go to the town centre for morning tea which also meant I could quickly duck over for this cache.

With limited time I got to GZ and there is really only 1 single place the cache could be..... So without many search options at the coords I focused on that one spot and soon had the cache in hand in only about a minute flat!

Good sneaky and safe hide here! TFTC and the puzzle!

29-Nov-17
I do like a research puzzle best but having no clue as to this game it was a search for all the information. Although I've played around at the game clearly not with any rules at all! Spent quite a lot of time searching a while back for the cache but had to call it with the muggle factor after not finding anything so reverted to a PAF to help out here. Luckily as getting myself to the right spot proved to be a challenge in itself so glad I persisted and nice when the fingers wrapped around the cache. Thanks for the cache CBR900RR.

I love snooker, my family think I am barmy but I have downloaded (sorry, I mean legally purchase!) the entire world championship for the last 5-6 years in a row.... and then watched it... all. Usually takes me about 8 weeks in my spare time, but I love it.

This was the very first puzzle cache I ever solved, but 2 DNF's on it means that it is about the 100th that I have managed to collect. Well, better late than never I say!

27-May-17
This was a straightforward puzzle and it wasn't long before we had a set of feasible coordinates. We had looked for the cache during a previous visit to Canberra but we didn't have any success.

Today we returned and this time, after a short search, the cache was in hand. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks CBR900RR for the cache.

23-Apr-17
Felt really weird searching around while cars (and kids on scooters) whizzed by. Not to mention the security cameras.... But perseverance paid off - found it after a small search. Channel your inner youth and reach........
TFTC CBR900RR - probably could do with a new log.

Solved over 12 months ago but could not find with the missus crawling all around the the other side of the bushes. To-day, Sunday I returned because there were likely to be less muggles, and found it within 2 minutes. TFTC.

12-Nov-16
Fun puzzle, as it brought back a few memories of playing snooker with my father (originally from Yorkshire). As a kid, I used to enjoy sitting with him watching Pot Black.

Had in the "Puzzles Solved" box for months, so today, when picking kid up from the area, I parked close by and we both had a scout around. Then I contemplated what the hint could mean and did just that. A feel around revealed the container. TFTC CBR900RR

We had looked at this puzzle a couple of years ago, and come up with some coordinates which seemed to match with checksums. It was put into a pile of caches to find, and so thought we'd go on a hunt yesterday. We had a quick look on Google Earth before we left home, and realised that our answers couldn't possibly be correct, as GZ had us sitting in the middle of a nearby busy road.
We re-checked our homework last night, and found a slight error, which moved our marker to a much more likely place, so today we headed out to GZ, and with a little lateral thinking found ourselves in a likely place.
It was Mrs Domsky who made the find, feeling somewhat self-conscious at the location, however it was spotted quickly, the log signed and then it was back to the car and on our way again.

Thanks CBR900RR. Mr Domsky is far more at home with this game than Mrs Domsky, but have both enjoyed the game over the years,

Domsky

Chris had solved this one ages ago, and we'd been to find it a few months ago, but had no luck in the dark. Today we came back, determined not to leave without finding it. After waiting for some teenagers to leave the area (Pokémon Go...*shudder*) we tried to make sense of the hint, and finally we noticed something we hadn't before. Saf was too short to make the find, so Chris did the honours. A relief to finally cross this one of the list! TFTC! Smile

03-Jul-16
Found with Coybear2000. We'd solved this puzzle some time ago. Today we caught up with friends in Woden (and missed out on the puzzle solver II event). We had a pleasant afternoon and then decided on going for a few caches. This one hadn't been found since Sept last year. We arrived at GZ and started our search. It wasn't long before we'd located the hide and had CIH. I'm not sure that I put the correct date on my log. TFTC

Out with Trodectus. This has been on the solved radar for a while so as we were nearby, this was the time to go for it. Arrived GZ and a after a few moments searching CIH, was wary of the CCTV cameras nearby. Signed log and replaced. TFTC

found with Sitehound and AngelG27 after an afternoon of puzzle solving. I had solved this one a couple of months ago, but life got in the way.... Its good to have it off the to-find list! Thanks to Wombatatcrows for the extra visual hint, and thanks to Sitehound for grabbing the cache. Agree that Sunday afternoon was a good time to collect this one as muggles were few and far between. TFTC

07-Dec-14
Some friends and I were nearby for an informal puzzle afternoon. I had what I was certain were the correct coords as they were confirmed by a previous finder. I had poked around on a few occasions, but never thoroughly, given its exposed location and nearby security cameras.

Today, my puzzle solving friends and I had another look, using their gps as guidance. Mine put me a little further along, but their's were on the mark. Gloved hand at the ready, I made the find. SL, and then we returned the cache. I'm glad to have this one marked as found. Thanks CBR900RR.

07-Dec-14
found with Sitehound and Elekra48 after an informal get together at the nearby club to try and solve some puzzles! I had almost got this one sorted a few months ago but put it aside. But both SH and E48 had matching solved coordinates, so we took a little detour to have a look-see for this one. My iPhone proved the winner, along with a visual hint from Wombatatcrows, and Sitehound had the cache in hand (glove) relatively quickly. Sunday afternoon proved a good time to collect this one as muggles were few and far between. TFTC CBR900RR (vrrm, vrrm)!

Failed to find this, and i suspect we were starting to arouse suspicion, so we moved on.

29-Apr-14
I was down at Garren on an errand for scouts so thought I would try this one again. I asked previous finder to verify co-ordinates and they were correct, Armed with a mirror this time I had success. Thanks CBR900RR for the puzzle and the cache.

20-Mar-14
633 (228) A bit of research to solve the puzzle and then a DNF (which I confess I did not log because I log too many as it is! Red Face). Back again today, armed with a hint as to the exact location. I had been at the right spot the previous time, but had not looked the right way. And this time I was armed with a high tech spider-web removal device (also known as a stick Wink). Tks CBR900RR!

A nice cycle ride to get this cache. It took a little searching though, as the GPS would not get under 20 metres. Finally we searched the more obvious spots and with the help of a mirror came up with the goods. TFTC.

#1141 - 22:05; I was alerted to this cache by a fellow cacher at the Puzzles and Coffee 6: 2y'stassies edition event, so took the opportunity to solve the puzzle, only to find it was a matter of a few metres from the event venue, just outside in fact. On the way home, popped by to grab the cache with Rapidlywild and with FurfacesLL 1 & 2 for moral support. TFTC CBR900RR Smile

20-Nov-13
After attending the puzzle event nearby, I was advised by LuckyL10n that there was a puzzle close by. Ohhh an event and a puzzle find in 1 evening, count me in.

As the event rounded up, LuckyL10n, FurfacesLL #1 and #2 and myself wandered over to the GZ location. LuckyL10n decided to go play with the 8 legged crawlies to retrieve the find.

Cache could do with a new log as this one is getting very ratty. Logging duties performed and it was time to venture of to the vehicles for the trek home.

Thanks for a good night cachers and thanks for the close puzzle CBR900RR Smile

Straightforward solve, as I love snooker, but no luck for me today at GZ.

thankfully a friend who plays this game was able to help me out. tftc!

Solved the puzzle after a little confirming research, and set off to find the cache with EdenDanny on our sweep through the Woden area. We lurked around the area for quite a while, a bit nervous because of the cameras, and couldn't settle on an area to make the plunge. We will have to try another day.

21-Nov-12
Worked out the puzzle on the weekend with some help from the son-in-law who knows how to score snooker.

Popped by this afternoon with Jr Cachehunter no. 1 and found it straight away after encountering a similar hide recently in Albury.

Very difficult to extract the log without ripping it more than it already is, but retrieved and signed without too much damage

TFT puzzle and cache.

Solved this cache a while ago, but noticed it was in a very high muggle area. Up today at 6.30am on a Sunday morning (groan...) so the perfect time to go grab this one. Took us a few minutes to find, but eventually had cache in hand.

Found on a day out caching the ACT with fellow Adelaidian OneHippieChick. Stood there staring at 3 metal objects that I just scoured to no avail but I have learnt to increase my search area when this happens, found on the outskirts of my search perimeter about 5m away from GZ. Hid better.

Solved it with some help from muggle grandpa who knew a bit about snooker. Was stumped for a little while about just where it was hiding but soon found it staring at me!

I had to travel to Canberra to attend a training course for a few days, what better excuse to pick up a few caches!!! I had some time to spare before I left, so I solved as many puzzle caches in the area where I was to attend the training and near my accommodation as I could (I solved six, and had one left over from a previous trip to the nation’s capital). After a busy day of training, I dropped my work colleague at our accommodation and headed out to pick up a few caches. Parking nearby, I had no issues pick up this cache, once I negotiated with all the spiders anyway! Thanks for the puzzle and the cache CBR900RR.

Was this the point we were to be broken or to brake. Turn after turn we followed the van from behind an ally way. There was no knowing that he was heading the same way. My driving habit did not help as we pulled up at a set of lights I held back a little. Still we pulled over in a little spot just before the Bus Stop and watch the van as he watched us. We hurried as the police were now passing and did not wish to be here on there return pass. Always enjoy a good chase as part of any good cache hunt.

Nice reasonably easy puzzle to solve as i used to play a bit many years ago. Loved watching Pot Black when it was on tele. As we left the previous cache a white van came from the rear of the parking lot and we followed it all the way to this one. Not sure what he thought as he turned off and stopped for a minute before moving on, a police car went past and around the corner to the station, we made a dash to GZ for a fast find and log, Back to the car and the van came back on the other side of the road and stopped again and turned his lights out. Thinking it might be security calling our suspicious activity in we quickly moved on to the next on our list.
