On our way home from the Hunuas.
A quick sign of the log then down the road for a real fruit ice cream at Whitford

I was hoping to spend a quiet day caching around the Maraetai area but it seems that half of Auckland thought the same. So I decided to head away and grab a few caches on the way home. Missed the 1st turn off but this did not prove to be bad as it allowed me to park easily. Was not confident as I approached GZ but the well hidden cache was quickly located. Not much of a view so it was on my way. Thank you for the placement.
Clevedon - Duder - Maraetai - Beachlands - Whitford it was my today`s trip.
Last cache for today for me! I had an epic DNF here and I don`t know how but it was
Count for a day 21 founds and 0 DNFs!
Cache found at 15:42.
It was my 9519.

Needed a cache for dot day and was out this way checking a dog care option so this one for the bill nicely.
Quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache

Wow! What a view. We’ve never been up here before so thank you CO. QEF but the nearby sheep were quite vocal! Other than that so so peaceful. Another dot day complete plus a little road trip. SL TFTC
A whole day of caching lies ahead of me and this is my third find for today. I am planning on caching in the Whitford area, enjoying some scenic caches and doing lots of walking in the wind. Marvelous!
A really nice and easy park (OK, parking was not so easy) 'n grab. Thanks for hiding and maintaining. Tftc

Good to find a cache here this visit .....
Pretty small ...so may be a replacement or throw down....
Good to keep it going .

I was ecpecting a little greater container here, that is definetly not 1L So I took the trackable with me again.
But the view is nice!
Thanks for hiding!

Found it! Thanks for my first cache! Reasonably easy find but it wasn’t a 1L container as described, it was a small blacked out pill container with a log in it!
My first cache this afternoon after working over in Howick. Heading towards my 6000th cache soon so some caching after work is in order. Parked up right next to GZ, no one around so an easy quick find was had. The views around here aren’t too bad eh!
On an early morning caching mission, 2 of the clan hatched a plan to make an early morning trip north and to find enough caches to qualify for the Planetary Pursuit. Careful planning was made and we had a very enjoyable hunting out the caches. Thanks also go out to all the cache owners who have placed and maintained the caches.
Wasn't expecting to find this, but we did, just well hidden

Quick find with a great view. Bit breezy here today buth the souwester is keeping the smell away. Log is very wet.
I was on my way back to Whitford from Beachlands so decided to take this detour which I had never been on before... stunning views! Luckily there was no smell today. The cache container wasn't what I expected from the description but I found it nonetheless TFTC!
Having driven on the main road over a number of years now, but having never taken the detour along this road, I thought today would be a good day to come exploring. Once at GZ, I have to agree entirely that the views are definitely anything but rubbish. However, there were some guys working in one of the near by paddocks, and so I had to choose my time carefully to get the cache without giving away my true intentions of parking here. And when I choose my moment right, it turned out to be quite a straightforward find. Thank you WackyB for hiding this one. Nice!
We were heading to another cache nearby and detoured to pick this one up as well. A nice quiet road gave us all the time we needed and after making the find and signing the log we took a moment to enjoy the view. Fortunately the wind was blowing in the right direction today and there were no unfortunate scents to put us off. TFTC
Ha
The last entry on the log was written 'muggles'
Which I thought was quite amusing.
Quick park and grab, look at the view of the storms sweeping in.

We have never been up this road. Yes the views are rubbish especially on such a beautiful day as today.
I needed a cache to keep my fifty day streak alive, and the weather was not cooperating for me to get what I hoped to do today, so I looked for cache and dash that I hadn't done. This cache fit the bill perfectly. The rain and overcast conditions prevented me from getting any view, but it was still worth the trip. TFTC.
Not a rubbishy view but a Beatifull view
Easy find on this Xmas day afternoon

Another great find on a geocaching holiday in the area.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Found broken container and wet log about 8 metres from obvious location, left a replacement.

Never been down this road before, great views Sadly log and items very damp Thanks for making us take the detour
Half the stika team was ice skating today, so thought the other half would pick up a travel bug we forgot to get the other day...
Dashed off for a quick find... the view was amazing... would never have come down this road if it wasn't for geocaching.... I love this sport....
Picked up MOVE ME TB.

Out and about in the Whitford area hunting for a few caches we still had not found. Grand views from up here, thank you WackyB for bringing us to this place. TFTC
Very nice view. I was searching in the wrong area when the sheep’s decided to finally get scared of me and I took a look into their departing direction which also revealed the cache to me . TFTC
What a fantastic spot!
Mum and Dad raced for this one - leaving the kids in the car... then Mum and Dad had to come back to the car and re-read the discription.
Mum stayed in the car (and much needed air conditioning) while the boys continued the search. 9YO came up with the cache quicker than Mum could locate more details!
Really enjoyed the location - thanks!

About to give up when we managed to find it. Contents damp. TFTC, great view from up here.
Interesting location. Cachers need to be careful not to stand on it and also of muggle families that live close by. Parking not good need to go round the corner some and walk back depending on way travelling. Bit of a blind corner.
I took the hint too literally and nearly had a dnf. Except that I nearly stood on the cache while I was searching in the wrong place. Nice view. Not rubbish at all!

Yay! Picked up a Geo coin. A collectors edition which is weird cos the whole point is NOT to collect but pass on... surely!
Walked right past it but found easy once turned around, great views, TB swap, TFTC.
Not a rubbish view at all!! Mr B & Mrs J found it quickly. Very nice cache with lots of goodies in it. Dropped off a travel bug.
A quick find on a warm, sunny and superb geoday.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Found it - stunning view this morning . . . . . took a great photo but don't know how to add it in here?
Found after a bit of a hunt. But good find, nice to get a larger cache after having a large run of smalls. TFTC
Checked my GPS on the marker - out by 0.002' . Found the stash and signed the log. TFTC
Cool cache, actually quite well hidden! Deceiving considering the size! Harder than I thought it would be. I think we keep seeing more cachers, because lots of logs from today in similar locations! TFTC!
Could not find this one. All the vegetation around the marker has been cleared so maybe this is not there.
XC and TK out and about on the Bike to get a few out this way... We haven't been up this road before but enjoyed the view. TK signed the log while I dropped in a TB I picked up in Aus.

Took a couple of moments to locate. Wind direction was certainly a reason to move on quickly! TFTC
My apologies for the LONG! absence from Geocaching. It is with regret that some of our caches have gone, but I hope to be able to review, update, restore, replace those that remain in the coming weeks. I would like to thank all that have helped maintain some of our caches in the true spirit of Geocaching, and extended thanks to those that have offered help in replacing those missing.

On a mission today to bring up 300 finds including a hike out to Flat Island. With the mission completed, I thought I would grab a few caches on the way home. Yet another WackyB cache added to the total today. Nice excuse to have a drive up around here. Cheers for the cache!
Finally got round to doing this one! Quick easy find. Out with the beautiful Bjarni1 TFTC
The last one for today in such a beautiful weather. No smell for us today, just a beautiful view
We also almost left TZ, but with a bit thorough search we found it. Thanks for the good hide

Was just about to think the cache was too well hidden for me when I found it.
I also logged the marker position on the Geodrift web site. It was also a good test of my GPS, which was spot on for the S measurement and different by 0.001 on the E measurement.

Last find on what turned out to be a mammoth day of caching.
