#2861 Nice to tackle an easy multi with straightforward instructions for a change. GZ located and all in good condition. Thanks Merekats for the cache.
Found with Jondub. A nice easy multi with some lovely views. Took a small search to locate the hiding spot. Well camouflaged! TFTC
Looks like summer has finally decided to join us. A hot walk up to this cache this arvo with GLISS! followed by a bit of a hunt in the scrub before we managed to secure the find. Thanks for the cache.
Tftc merecats, plenty of rocky hollows to choose from, got it after a bit of a search
#12196 - 4:46:00 PM; After plan A fell through and then plan B, it was on to plan C and this cache. Luckily the information was easily located and the coords for GZ calculated. Passed some muggles coming in the opposite direction before I went off piste and on to GZ for a quick find and sign, relieved to have completed today's mission after a couple of false starts. TFTC Chalk It Up
Nice multi for a miserable afternoon. Goid to collect another on my way to 200. Tftc
Dark and cold at 6.00pm, that time of year I guess. Grabbed the required details at both WPs without issue then the easy walk up towards GZ. Wandered around a bit before spotting under torchlight a good looking spot. Cache found, signed and replaced before heading back down to the comforts of a warm geomobile. TNLNL TFTC
A quick calculation and then with The Dog and GeoKids in tow a walk up to GZ for a straightforward find. Thank you!
Number 3 in our walk around this hill, what a lovely area for a walk with the geohounds and geoinfant TFTC
I am working through the Canberra mapping challenge and for some reason the other cache I found in this suburb does not get counted. I returned today fir this quick multi. TFTH
Collected the answers to the questions and walked to make the find. After searching for a while, I rechecked my calculations and all was good. I searched some more to no avail. So back to check my answers to the clues. Sure enough, I had one number wrong (I had to zoom in and take a picture to see it properly). Back to search again and this time it was easily found. Thanks Merekats.
My phone had wp1 out by about 10m so I went with a common 6 digit hint. wp2 was a bit more straight forward. It took me a little while to find the container at the gz because I wasn't confident of my co-ords and it wasn't a cave. I stopped to review past logs and then realised that I was standing right next to the rocks hiding the container. Log signed and off to the next one. TFTC.
I checked out the multi wps before heading up the hill but it seemed the coordinates were out so I decided to use the traditional up the hill to find out how much my GPS was playing up today. Turned out I had to add 10m onto everything to get an approximate search area. It took a bit of looking but given the hint I knew there had to be a decent hole, so I searched looking for somewhere I didn't have to turn over. I was so glad half the search area was clear. Eventually the cache was found in good condition. Was found on dusk after a lovely sunset.Tftc
Found while attending the Clear Waters Mega event at Queanbeyan.
Today I teamed up with interstate cachers to complete a varied selection of multis, traditionals and unknown caches that we had targeted.
Once again were were fortunate to have some great weather for it.
Thanks Merekats for the cache.

Out and about with a few caching buddies during the Mega. We found a number of caches today of varying D/Ts and desirability. My apologies for the generic log but I'm logging these over two weeks later and unless something sticks out I have somewhat hazy memories of these finds. Next time, I'll do what a fellow Victorian does and take multiple photos of the site such that it jogs the memory bank.
My thanks to all the COs who've put out caches for the community to enjoy and/or some mind bending puzzles. All good fun.

I was a little shocked at the age of this one, its always cool to pick up a log book and see 10 years of logs going back.
Very neat little multi, exactly the right length and distance.... no 47 waypoints for this one!
Favourite from me

Loci612 and I headed out to grab some of the puzzles plus multi caches that we had been working on for the last few weeks. This cache was one on our list to pick up. Thanks for placing and looking after the cache. We had fun finding it today. I signed the cache darksidedan or darkside or dsd
**This Cache:**
Wow, a Chalk it Up multi-cache! That also doesn't fit his naming theme! Didn't realise you had caches apart from your well-known series!
The two waypoints were quickly discovered and then a short walk up to GZ. Interesting to see that Pacmania was here only a few days ago, but the cache was quickly found in good condition!
Thanks for this one

**Today:**
Went for a morning adventure today to pick up lots of traditionals, puzzles and multi's around Fadden. Have slowly been working on a few of the multi's in the area, grabbing waypoints when I am in the area and also slowly gathering up lots of the puzzles around here that have a huge contribution on Canberra's high puzzle count! Lots of walking done on the hills on this beautiful Sunday morning, and was finishing up by lunch time after about 5 hours before the heat of the day really kicked in!

Grabbed the information OK, then headed over to GZ. Took a little while to spot as I approached from probably the wrong direction and had to get around the spiky bushes to make the find.
Thanks,
Thanks,
I dutifully collected the necessary clues and then proceeded to calculate the final coordinates. What?! GZ was 9km away! That can't be right. I rechecked my calculations and thankfully discovered my error. Just a simple addition error but amazing how much a difference it made which was a good thing. Had I made the mistake on the decimals I may not have noticed. So long story short, I bush bashed over to the correct gz and soon found the cache. Phew. The sun was just slipping below the horizon so it was time to move on. TFTM
Found with Kittykatch out and about picking up a few. Nice view. Thanks for bringing us here

This afternoon's caching was with ZQX and AngelG27 focused on multis on the south side. We visited 8 in all. All were finds for me, but the others had already found some of them. A beautiful autumn afternoon for being out and about and good company. Information quickly collected, and cache easily found by ZQX. TFTC.

Today was the day to make good on promises to grab a few multis with TikvaNZ and ZQX. And what a lovely afternoon to do them! The weather was so lovely I discarded my jacket for most of the afternoon. I got 7 from 7 multis and one random trad on the way to one of them. Thanks TikvaNZ and ZQX for a great afternoon chatting and caching! All caches found in accordance with the hints and in reasonable or good condition.
First one off the rank. And a quick one to get us on the board.
Thanks Chalk It Up for the cache and the fun!

On a multi-cache mission with TNZ and AG27. None of us had done this one, so we collected the required information from the WPs and were happy with our plotted GZ. Quick find at that GZ. TFTC!
We came across your cache, Merekats, on our geocaching holiday in Canberra.
Having completed the nearby puzzle cache and the wattle magic cache we came down hill to this multi. Got the numbers, hoping we wouldnt have to walk too far back up!
Fortunatley we didn't. Cache is OK.
Log signed and replaced at 1:58 pm on 6 March 2018. TFTC.

I did a reconnoitre for next Monday’s Omnia walk along the ridge behind Macarthur and Fadden which gave me the opportunity to find four geocaches, two traditional and two multis. This cache was a straightforward find, the two waypoints and the cache being on the coordinates. Thank you Merekats for installing and maintaining this cache.
today we wanted to try and do multicaches close to home
a lot of fun in the sun with pete lots of walking and driving
we found a few multicaches which was really fun
hopefully i will hide some soon

After a little uncertainty about whether I read the numbers correctly at WP1, I managed to get the right coordinates and find the cache pretty quickly. Thanks. Signed Cbr.
Collected the information then back up the hill to the Hollow for a quick find. TFTC Merekats.
Was out with dty73 this afternoon to see about this and a few other south side caches. The unusually warm weather I'm clearly not used to slowed the hills a bit but found the cache after a bit of a look and all was ok with it. Information collected easily and quite straight forward and after a few ups and downs for a few other caches luckily this was just a short up! Thanks for the cache Merekats.
Aquilus1 and I decided to pick this cache and few others in the area up. We were quiet surprised that for such a straightforward multi, no one has been to for over a year. Enjoyed this one. Tftc!!!
Enjoyed the incline today (particularly after a bootcamp this morning! Found with Ham228+1
This was geochild's first multi. He had a ball. What a lovely area of Canberra to explore, with such friendly muggles to chat to as we loitered to do simple maths. Tftc!
A nice easy cache. It looks like the start of a good walk so I will be back to explore a little further. TFTC
F(H)ound it! 5:47:00 PM
This was a fun and straight forward multi. I was all alone, not a soul around, when I arrived at GZ. But then after signing and replacing, several dog walking folk came up the track, so me and the the Ridgeo-pup froze and stayed silent and we were not spotted .

Trying a different app that I'm not used to. Walked around in circles a couple of times but got there in the end. TFTC
Headed out today on this beautiful sunny day. Love these type of multi's where basic mathematical substitution is the key. Cheers
Found at 1030 on a caching run dedicated to multis. This attempt went as smooth as I'd hoped, with the numbers and calculations coming together to provide spot-on co-ordinates to the hide. All was well with the cache - I signed the log then went on my way, still a lot caches to pick up today and I was rapidly running out of steam. Thanks for the cache Chalk It Up.
It was the end of the work day and it was time for me to go grab my daily. But storms were looming-so I thought I might be in for a quick park and grab rather than a nature park stroll. I decided to go for it anyway and luckily for me the clouds had nothing in them
So then after acquiring the necessary info for GZ, off I went for the find. Wasn't as far in the reserve as I expected so it was a nice, easy find. Signed log and replaced then I noticed a trad on the map nearby so decided to continue on to grab that one as well.

#406. 68 days in a row.
Found this one on my way home from two other caches. Fairly easy to pick the numbers and then a simple find at GZ. The rocks turned out to be tricky to maneuver though, so it took me a while to get the cache out.

Well, how am I feeling today? - My recovery from the flu is very slow. Into my fourth week after onset, I'm still coughing anmd spluttering in cold conditions, and I still get fatigued after exercise. If I hit the "wall", it takes me three days to get over that. Last night, I didn't sleep that well, and didn't want to get out of bed. However, I'm up, fed, caffeined, and have eager GeoSchnauzers prancing about now that I've decided to do a few caches. Only ten to go to get to 1000 finds, and fifteen days to do it in my first year as member. I've already picked out my 1000th cache - "Terra Rossa", and earthcache on Red Hill. In my next life, I want to be a geologist. I want to do it with my mentor and mate, Knightech, on Sunday, which means I have two days to do the other nine, as he has not much time on Sunday. Also, I want to see how my viral fatigue is going, without hitting the wall. I'm going to do some multi-caches, to get in some walking, and so I can stop as necessary for fatigue. I'm aiming for four or five today.
To cut a long story short, fatigue nearly got me, but I stopped in time. However, I got only three caches done, so I'm deferring 1000 caches till Thursday, when Knightech and I have a caching afternoon plotted, and by which time I think I will be fitter, as I reckon I cranked out three kms of walking today before I sensed the fatigue creeping up on me.
This is my first one today - I parked 150 meteres from the first stage, walked to it, figured it out, figured out the nearby second sage, walked up to it, and then walked to the also close-by GZ, where, after a little trouble with GeoSchnauzers wanting to chase kangaroos and magpies (idiot dogs), and nearly pulling my arms out from standing starts on their six-foot dog strings, I found this well hidden cache. There was a bit of uphill in the walk, which has not fatigued me - good start. I reckobn I walked just under a km in this one, with to-ing and fro-ing, and a bit of a stroll for the dogs' benefit. TFTC!! Good hide, Chalkie!! Find no 991.

awww man what to say about this one. easy nab at WP2, really had to squint to read the numbers at WP1 (should wear my glasses more often!) once at GZ it seriously took me 15 minutes to find...and i must have walked around the cache 3 times, coming from the wrong direction. I couldn't see it at all and the hiding place is very unobvious (inobvious? antiobvious?) hope you know what i mean, you should find this cache with your eyes, not just GZ. This was a b-day cache for me, so glad to have found it. tftc

Got some really strange looks from a local resident getting the first number but after that it was all plain sailing. thanks.
Good one. A little confusion regarding the brackets in the formula. Made it anyway. Good view and a few roos.
Day 182; cache 182. So sore from yesterday's climb up Mt Tennent, we decided to get an easier one. Thankfully Wasptor had more energy to drag himself to both waypoints as I hung by the car. Went for a short walk to GZ and hobbled all the way, lol. TFTC!
Found this cache with my family. My legs are still very sore from yesterday, glad I didn't have to walk to far. TFTC!
2013: 182 Days In A Row - We've passed the 6 months of caching every day... Today we knocked over a multi, picked up a plant, and had a bit of a stretch. One of the geokids collects cactii, and we saw a prickly pear plant growing wildly here. So rather than leave it out here, we dug it up to add to his collection. Better in a pot than in the wild. Ninteenth find of today. Missed this one earlier on, so came back to make the find.
462. This was one of the three caches today that used this same phone number. Nice GZ, but took a while. Thanks Merekats
Grabbed the updated coordinates we had collected earlier and followed my phone into the distance. The GPS disagreed however, and the_proton found it while I was still looking a reasonable distance away. Left a pirate TB. As I exited the area a big mean tree branch got the best of my face . TFTC.
We had long ago worked out the coordinates for this but didn't grab the cache at the time. After awaiting the removal of nasty stinging creatures we headed over to grab this one. After circling around a few times, and being guided off in the wrong direction by a GPSr we eventually found this one.
Left Pirate Pete to guard the hollow here and survey for ships to plunder in lakes below.

The powers that be seem to have removed the wasps. Let me know if you see any more ...
We checked the cache and there is definitely a European wasps nests close nearby. This has been reported to the authorities. Iwould recommend not going in the area until the wasps have been exterminated.
Calculated coords for this one earlier so today it was go fetch. Arrived at GZ to find a European Wasp nest / burrow about two metres north east of the cache. One might need to exercise some caution when approaching. I did survive unharmed. TFTC #41

Calculating the coords for the GZ provided a welcome rest during a tramp around the hills with the very excited geopup. Nice clues and a relatively quick find. TFTC

very good puzzle and found both numbers as just short walk on rough track to final gz and easy to find with no problem... checked in cache no TB... thanks
Found the numbers, did the maths and found the cache. Easy, TB listed is not in cache???
Reperio at 1730. Hadn't intended on doing this one today, but since I was in the area with time on my hands, I soon changed that idea. Numbers were found pretty quickly, and after a few calculations, it was off to GZ where the cache was found nicely tucked away.
Enjoyed the location.

Finding out the answers was pretty easy and the cache was very easy to find. The clue really helped. Nice hide and area. Took geocoin in exchange for a TB. TFTC.
Good fun got the coords easily enough, but had to stay still/hide from a dog walking muggle at the cache, escaped undetected. TFTC

Grabbed this one in the late evening - the mossies were swarming at GZ and definately made a meal of me. A nice little wander nonetheless, and will probably come back here tomorrow to grab some of the caches on the hill.

After a dnf on this one acouple of months ago. I was lucky I had jusojara with me. Got to waypoint2 first and worked out what we needed from it, then went to waypoint 1 and got what we needed from there. Talk about doing a multi backwards. Up to gz we went which we had walked past before coming from another cache. Where we made a easy find. Got it! TFTC

Since Ju, mr_roo and I were coming down off the ridge line we came to WP2 first and collected the info from there. Then we had a debate about WP1, was it the additional WP or the cache listed coords[?]. In the end it didn't matter and we had the solution and returned back up the track where Ju made an easy find.

Decided to stop in and do this multi on the way to work as I had a late start this morning. Found both waypoints without any trouble but took a bit longer to find the cache. Would you know I walked over it twice before realising where to look? How silly can a gecko feel at times! Thanks for the lovely multi and for not making the GZ at the top of the hill. TFTC

Third of eight for the day and the first of a run of three to finish up all the Wanniassa Hills caches.
Clues were found nice and easily and I headed to GZ. Took a few minutes to find the cache, mainly because I was looking in the wrong spot, but after signing the log, I got on my way.

Oh....and a special milestone at this cache too. This was my 500th ACT cache find!

The cache is now nestled in a new nook 1 or 2 meters to the west of its original position (thanks to Norkmeister for the recommendation). As previously, there is no requirement to turn over any rocks.
Please cover the cache as found when you return it to its habitat, so that it is not visable.

Well in my last log I said I wouldn't do this again. But I was looking in my bag and there was the TB I could have sworn I left in Rocky Hollow last night, so I headed off to "find" it again and drop in the TB with the intention of getting another cache 500 metres up the hill. However I piked out and went home after depositing the TB.
