I did not find again but could not venture closer to cache site for the detritus of human society. in immediate vicinity was two used feminine products, a pair of discarded panties. screeds of wet toilet paper and the whole area of garden was dotted with human fescus ...oh and a yellow flouro condom !!
I suggest the CO should possibly move the co-ordinates to a cleaner area of Butchers.
And any cacher consider gloves, gum boots and disinfectant .

Disabled upon personal advise from a local, georgecale, until I can get to it - Thanks for the email. Shame, as it's been there a long time (5 1/2 years), survived various vegetation stripping and replanting projects, untold juggles and never been lost! Mind you, I haven't been able to find it myself on occasion so suspect it is still there - just don't want cachers to grovel in cr@p in what's suppose to be a fun game. I will come and look at the site - when I put start motor back in the van haha. Cheers, GC
Great place to visit, pool was a bit rank though. Had a reasonable look for the cache in the likely spots but with no avail
Had a quick look where the GPS took us but didn't see it. Large number of Muggles all around so decided to leave it for another day.
Nice quick find also met a cacher on the hunt

I will have a look at this when I'm able. Was speaking to some cacher's recently who'd re-found it not so long ago. So it met or may not be there. Great pool tho...
GPS had us on the spot. hasnt been found since April. is it still there ???If so it had me beat. i will return ..
Followed the GPS to the coordinates but couldn't find the cache. Please check that it is still there.
Had a good look but nothing. Still interesting place. Not tempted for a swim.

Cache #1007 - Did today with Crystal Fairy, MycroMan and Violet Butterfly. Easy find. Geocoin listed not apparent in cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Had no idea this place existed. Marked on our GPS as a permanent point now. Will have to return one day to come for a dip. T4TC. Did with Mycro Man, Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly
We have driven past here countless times, and silly us, thought this was a favourite trout fishing pool for local anglers. Needless to say, we didn't see too many trout in the pool today....although there was this old....... We had to wait a short while before searching as a couple of camper vans were fetching water from the toilet area to do their washing up. After the coast was clear we got into the search and quickly located the cache. Reporoa was very busy today; it seems a cycle race from Taupo to Rotorua was on. We were glad we were travelling to Taupo as the traffic was banked up in long queues the other way. TFTC
For the first time we have visited this place, we had it completely to ourselves and took our time to find the goodies. Thanks GC.
Great spot - few people in the pool but got the cache with alittle bit of stealth
TFTC. A perfect spot for a lounge in the hot pool with the extended family then back onto the road towards Wellington.
Nice location with an interesting bit of history. TFTC and greetings from Germany
We have driven past this one many times, but today was the day I stopped! Quick easy find TFTC
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We stopped by and soon had had the cache in hand and our name was in the logbook After replacing the cache in its hidey spot we walked down to the pool to check it out.

It was a true GEO day around Rotorua today - Geothermal, Geology and of course Geocaching! We travelled in one car with Peter (Pprass) as the driver. It was fascinating to walk among the steaming, bubbling pools and see the eruption of the Lady Knox geyser. This was one pool where there was a unanimous vote that we would not be swimming.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt GenCuster.

Found at 7:33 AM GAFF1 in the company of Phetlern. On our way to the Lady Knox geyser we were ahead of time, so we took a minor detour to explore this site. A generous offering by Mr Butcher, but the place looks like it hasn't been refreshed for some time with all of that orange scum floating on the top.
Thanks GenCuster
Thanks GenCuster
Nice quick find - more touring of the area after work was finished on my way home. tftc
Our first time here, a great place. Didn't stay for a soak though, as we're on our way down to Wellington.
Popped in again to share this amazing spot with my parents. Dropped off 2 TB.
Thank you, wouldn't have ever known this was here! The rain held off long enough for us to have a lovely dip, then a quick find before lunch. TFTC
What a nice spot. A quick swim then lunch in the van sheltering from the rain. TFTC
Used to swim here as a child in the 60's. Lovely to have a relaxing dip with my daughter. Noone else around took the geocoin and will move on. TFTC #79
An easy find on my way home from Rotorua. Amazing spot I've drive past but never knew it was here. Quite a civilised set up compared to some of the roadside pools about!

Well I never!! Again, have driven past here many times previously and never knew this place existed. Water very nice and warm and a lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us to this spot. This is what I so enjoy about geocaching - finding spots like this. TFTC.
Thought id found cache wrapped in a scarf but it turned out to be a pair of black silk boxers decorated with gold bananas - did a previous cacher leave these? finally found cache and left TB for a soak in the hot pool after all its adventures. TFTC
Came to soak the tight running calves in the hot water this morning. I've found that cache 3-4 times before, dropping TBs, etc, but not today. The gardens and our target tree have grown so much in the last year! I wonder if the cache has crept... I'll ask the last cacher who found it to see where it's gone...
This place is awesome. Another treasure discovered as a result of Geocaching! We are popping back here for a dip sometime soon. Thanks for bringing us here.
Visiting from the UK with my brother, arrived at GZ just ahead of 5 ladies in a truck, who promptly got changed in the room provided and were in the pool before we had located the cache. Logging through 5 trackables, thanks for bringing us here, and the cache
Called here today on a diversion while en route to Rotorua. Didn't know about this pool before, a great spot! Interesting to see the local youths jumping into the water with little regard for the warnings about amoebic meningitis.. Cache was a quick find, signed log, TFTC!
Went on 17th to get cache, but tradesman was working there, so came back couple days later.
It was a dark, wet night. My phone went flat. I lost a ring. We had to feel around in the undergrowth. Found it! Took a mystery travel bug on board. Will load it and hope it's owner will be able to pick up the trail.
Quick-ish find - no muggles around. Thanks for showing me this area! Left a TB. TFTC
love it had a swim with some locals and a drink nice way to finish the day I will be back Big thanks for bringing me here
Lovely spot for a swim.Quick find on my way to Wellington. SL.TNLN.TFTC
Quick find #2 for today, I like the big caches an didnt have time for a swim but may return another day. Signed log. TFTC
Found this one after spending the night here in our campervan. Really nice spot! Didn't go for a swim, but the water looked really clear. Quick find with no one around.

After going to Wai-O-Tapu and the spa we spent the night at the Butchers pool.
It was already dark when we arrived here and we found the cache in the early morning.
Lovely warm water and a very nice pool.
Thanks for the cache and this very nice overnight spot!!

What a cool wee spot! If I'd had a towel I might have popped in for a swim as I was the only one around! TFTC
Have been past this road entrance oodles of times, but never been in, had to waite for a few muggles to move on before homing in on the cache, thanks for bringing us here, signed log at 4-40pm on a damp day. Thanks from MADToo.
Good Friday Find with Pota & Couff. Drizzly misty but too many Muggles for mystery.

Now this is what caching is about, showing none locals the cool local things.
This was awesome and we enjoyed the spot.
This is going to get a favorite tag and deserves it.

Another of our regular haunts, always good to have a soak here after a wet or winter walk. Nothing taken, left a necklace. TFTC
This is one of those places we would never have found but for geocaching, thanks for sharing.
Interesting location, not sure I would be keen on swimming in the water but clearly lots of people do. Very quite day when we visited.

Magic! Got there with the intention of just having a look, but cool rain was softly falling & it was so nice in the pool, & we had it all to ourselves. For Lani. Thnks
Not missing, still there, just about half a metre higher than it used to be. Took TB while I was there, put cache back where I originally found it.
although GPS signal seemed very accurate and we searched all the bushes, palm trees etc, no cache box could be found. maybe it was muggled??? nice spot anyway - thx for showing to us.

It took a while to find this one. But eventually we did. My wife and kid took a bath in the pool. Nice! Traded some TB. Thanks and greetings from Latvia!
Another quick visit to drop TB. Bovine Betty wants to see where people drink milk. I took her to see where people MAKE milk (well, the cows make it, people harvest it).
Early morning visit to this local cache to take TB. Box full of goodies already so didn't add anything.
we interupted fellow cachers when we did this one but when we new what each other were doing we joined together and found the cache. what a cool pool. thanks
We are on a caching holiday from Australia and dropped by this cache. We drove a fair way off the main road for this one and were pleased there was nobody here when we arrived. We headed towards GZ when a car drove in so we decided to use the toilets while we waited to see what they were doing and it turned out that they were fellow cachers. They headed straight in to search and came up with the cache instantly. We all signed the log and returned the cache before checking out the pool – we couldn’t bring ourselves to get into the murky water. TNLNSL TFTC
#7 Working on a Saturday, decided to stop by on the way past. I'd been driving by quite a few times and stopping, but not wanting to get the cache until there were no muggles around. Have soaked in the pool several times, it's Niiice and warm! TFTC
Haven't been here for 10+ years. Much nicer than I remember. Seahorse keyring in, toy story alien out. TFTC.
12.45pm. Mainly quiet here today. One person enjoying the pool. Found the cache easily.
Took some sports card and a domino and left a kiwi keyring.
