This cache had us somewhat mystified, as we were unable to find any relic/monument/tractor, let alone a cache, however, all is now explained.
OK, now this is sad...
Cache site was there on Monday when I drove to Wellington...
Not there on Friday when I drove back... Nor was the tractor...

Been sitting right opposite here at the start of the year - watching some much faster pieces of machinery. TFTC
One of the few left to do in Taupo suitable for my 4 year-old grandson. A nice warm spring afternoon. + toy car, -duck in pond. We transported the treasures in Marty's special geocaching boxes he made for Father's Day. TFTC.
Great location, nice cache, terrible weather! Watch any young ones at this spot. - TB, started Geo Guitar on it's travels to London and back. TFTC
easy find on way back to Hamilton from Napier.
Lots of bikes around on the tracks nearby.

Nice easy find. Have passed here a number of times but usually looking the other way! Took and left few TBs Thanks
Not quite what were we were expecting after reading the name of the cache but pleasantly surprised!
Many thanks
Many thanks
Easy find, left Pathtag Cat, took dinosaur for grandson who played decoy on the tractor while we searched.
Great spot for a cache and lovely relic. Unfortuantely we were heading to Pukehina for Easter and it was FREEZING cold - still, a good break on the trip. TFTC + Jandal
This one was not on my list but on GC's recommendation set off in search of it. Easy driveby then back to town. Thanks GC.
Just got me an account and logging now, hope this is ok. Ive been on tour with talk2knut. TFTC !
Nice monument and also good hiding place. Thanks for showing.

Found with dragonsinger as shown. Plus a whole heap of TB's and coins (Dragonsinger logging these), minus Hotel del Coronado, Nuts 2 U and Honda Civic TB's.
Definitely a good place for a TB hotel...

Plenty of activity over the road getting ready for the racing. A rather nice old tractor and good to find a BIG cache container. TFTC
Saw this from the grandstand while watching the drags quick find then off for lunch. Thanks
Rather a surprising relic at this location – wonder what it’s history is? Also rather a surprise as to the cache container – very cool decoration!! A ‘ roadside’ cache can be a good one as this is evidence. We made a few trades of trackables as we have noted before. TFTC!
Dropped in the Geotag and it's attached All Black Haymen!! Picked up the Berlin Bear Tb.
Will log our find when we get home.
Will log our find when we get home.
With all the other forms of racing ( ride-on lawnmover, A1GP ) going on around here it has taken us a while to get a shot at this one. We had to resort to the cover of darkness. TFTC.
Dropped off Land Shark GeoCoin whose owner would like it to head to the Star Gate and then on to Seattle if you could please re-locate in that direction. Thanks.
Easy find, grandson can't believe the number of pressies hidden around the place. Left Cat Path-tag, took dinosaur for grandson.
this wa a good find as we were actually lookin for the correct gate in advance of going to work at the A1GP the next day in Pitlane.
We only discovered the bugs as we were unsure if they had a mission to move on.
awesome spot for the kids to hang around

A very appropiate name for the cache! Wasn't quite what I was expecting. TFTC
Good the Bad and the Speedy 1932 Roadster dropped by to check out the competition...
Ah the tractor...zoom zoom zoom- where’s the keys to kick start!! Thanks for this adventure, loved it. Though Indiana Jill being the observant one, at the time looking at the other side of the road, drove right past it, got into reverse and helloooo tractor, are we sure that is the tractor, covered around by grass!! Just love the cache container....brilliant!!! What team work!! Thanks for the adventure! TFTC!
BookwormMum, Kayaknkiwi, Indiana Jill and I visited this cache during our caching road trip out of Auckland. Kayaknkiwi had fun on the tractor! We would have missed this had we not been searching for a cache! In: Geocoin (hoping someone can move it along) and a little pink piggy. Out: small blue laundry clip. TFTC!
Tractor seemed to be enjoying retirement among the flowers - grass was so long we would have missed seeing it if we'd just been driving past. Discovered a bunch of TB's - they seem to like it here! Once again, I was last to find of our Taupo trip team (Kayaknkiwi, Seattle's Best, Indiana Jill and myself) - just wasn't my day to get to the spot! Out - bobble head monkey baby, in dinosaur.
Loved the tractor! Left a NUTS TB for it and a plane TB for mutual transport theme. Took KnK a while to find the cache as she was trying to make the tractor go!
The tractor is surrounded by overgrown grass - we missed it on the first and second pass..... had to back track.
Swapped trackables and The Nut enjoyed checking out the old rust bucket!

Easy find. Race track across the road vissable from the road, so why buy a ticket. TFTC
An easy find once the rain had cleared. Took a tb to move north and released my 'Wandering Pooke'.

Nice spot for a cache. Don’t think the A1’s will get too much competition from this old tractor. Many thanks for the placement. Kids had a pretend drive on the old girl before we headed off.
OUT: Timberwolf Geocoin

Found easily...thanks dropped travel bug and took the diabetic travel bug and dropped it into another cache without recording the number...help. Will try to fix this. Cheers Carla
Watched last laps of the V8's from the road nearby. Many muggles driving out of the track but lostpukeko #5 playing on the farm machine in the rain was a good distraction. Thanks
Took a little time finding, but when i did i thought i was a bit of an idiot. Lots of traffic passing by so you have to be a little discrete. Dropped uranus fudge TB, took Stu Little TB
I had a nice drive to Taupo on the Friday caching as I went. Stopped here about 5pm while there was motor bike racing. Nil in or out TFTC
A neat spot for a hide, in an area near Taupo not visited before. Thanks GenCuster - recommended. TNLN.
Very good spot for this one, and a clever name. Enjoyed the visit as I always wondered where this place was, now I know.
NO swaps, TFTC

On our way home found it This is fun and a little quirky!! Loved the little Tractor, I bet he hasn't so many visitors in all his years. Thanks GC. No shiny Tractors here.
Found it!! A FTF was the bonus along with the VERY COOLl camo pin !!!!! This made a trifecta today for FTF. A great spot to stop for a quick photograph - the kids had never been down this way to Taupo before and the adults had never noticed the tractor before. This was a nice and easy cache to find, co-ords lead us right to the spot, and no grovelling around needed. Thanks for bringing us this way Gen Custer.
We took the Rocket Marvin TB and left the Xmas tree TB.
