Happy Halloween. Hasn’t been found close to a year, after searching fruitlessly what chance did I have.....
Having visited Jenolan many years ago I was keen to visit with the family. The fires in the area had our plans on hold until yesterday, all looked okay so we booked accomadation and the awesome Orient cave tour and fingers crossed it's not to smokey. As it happened we had most of the day with a beautiful blue sky until the smoke blew in in the afternoon.
Spent a wonderful day exploring about, the cave tour was a highlight, just as good the second time for me too. A lot of the walking tracks were closed for safety reasons with the fires but the blue lake walk was still open and was able to walk it's length, loved the water dragons and other lizards and cool to see so many lyerbirds too.
A full day out and we headed into Oberon to our accomadation, dinner and then spent the last of the evening out for a few caches.
With many curious cows watching the oldest son spotted this quickly. Perhaps not to the hint but as the last log indicated, about waist high. The cows were quite cool too! Thanks for the cache, another nice oldie.

Day 4 of KmanNZ's VIC,NSW,ACT roadtrip of 2019.
Today had me on the old tourist road between Bathurst and Cooma.
A lot of smoke in the air from the fires over the hills. Met a caching couple in Taralga and found 41 caches.
Find #3
Found on the ground - signed and placed at waist height. Hope this was ok.
Thanks for the cache.

Headed north for a caching weekend away with fitzy_1965 & GLISS!
Last cache for the day and the weekend, as well as being the last find needed to clear out Oberon.
Have stopped here previously but didn't have enough time to do a thorough search. This time I had time and back up with me. Systematic search produced the shiny cache. So glad to find this one and it made a nice even 6400 for me.

A great way to spend a weekend - a trip away with minniek & Fitzy_1965 - yay! Probably the last one for the trip - my first in this county and last Oberon cache for minniek. TFTC
Visiting from the Gold Coast and on a nice trip in the countryside with Bluewattle whilst preparing for a challenge cache. Sneaky one.

#4770- I had to come out to Oberon today to do an exchange student interview. Bikerbuddy came with me for a run. Like him in 2014, I have a distinct recollection of being here before. Perhaps it was another cache here, but anyway, this pretty spot was an easy find today. I squeezed my name along the edge of the log as it is chock a block full. Thanks
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10163. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
Found this one on the way back to Bathurst for the night. A nice little hide and a quick find.
Thanks Code1 for the cache.

Great little cache and hide.
Log is full and needs replacing. I signed in a little blank space in the middle somewhere, so my signature is not in date order.

I cleaned up some trash left by somebody who apparently had been hiding behind the garden having a binge drinking session. Netted me some money by "Return and Earn"

On a 2 day caching adventure with GeodudeAU to clear some caches over the Blue Mountains. Starting from Hartley heading south to stop by Burraga Dam overnight, then heading north to Rockley and Oberon. We had a very successful trip, notching up 115 smileys, and exploring many out of the way places. Lots of interesting scenery and wildlife along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these hides.
Found with the help of an earlier log about hidey holes. Out of sight at the back. TFTC

Out with Brewmaker on a two day adventure. On this, our second day, we started at Burraga Dam to continue on The Road Less Travelled touring trail (our third time out for this series) and other associated caches along the way. Passed Mount David and back to Burraga and then on towards Rockley (a very nice little historic town). Then it was along the dirt road to Oberon for lunch and more caches around the town, before finally heading back to Sydney.
It was perfect weather to be touring around the countryside, seeing lots of native birds and farm animals along the way. Thanks to all of the cache owners for the clear directions, hints, and good easy hides. Only a couple took more than a minute to locate. TFTCs
PS: A very tricky hide but it was finally found in a hidey hole

Quick find while out exploring the country roads. Found container on the ground at GZ, so I signed log and replace it to its hidey location. Tftc
We have had a wonderful time caching around Bathurst and on the back roads, love the rural scenery. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Code1 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

I came here earlier in the day without any luck. While having dinner at the RSL I checked the logs and discovered someone had found it today. Went back after dinner and it was an easy find. I'm confident it wasn't there when I looked earlier. TFTC
Found with nissan 65 on few days caching in the area. Up from south coast

Three geocachers (mizmaz, envirogirl86, and myself) embarked on a monumental long weekend to complete as much of TRLT series as we could. (Apologies for the generic log). Awesome series!! TFTC!
Final day of a three day roadtrip ticking off TRLT (south) series, started with a few quick PnGs between the motel and our first stop, this being the first as we re-passed back through Oberon. Muggle parked next to garden but moved off as I approached for the quick grab. Cache lying exposed on ground so tucked it in a safer but obvious spot at same co-ords.
3 girls (Mizmaz, StumbleTrip and myself), a car, a gps and a sense of adventure resulted in 198 caches over 3 days. And, of course, we decided to go on our adventure on the coldest weekend in 110 years.
We were almost waited out by a muggle, however he decided to move on just after we arrived. TFTC

14216. Found during a run through the Bathurst to Mudgee region this long weekend.
Having completed the southern part of TRLT series last month I had the northern part of the series on my radar for this long weekend - plus as many extras as there are along the way. After spending the Saturday night in Mudgee I hit the road again early today to finish up as much as I could. All but two of today's caches were found and all were nicely hidden with good sized containers. This was the next and last find for the day as I was driving home. Quick find at GZ. Log signed, cache replaced, and I headed off.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches - it was a great run up through this area.

After a visit to the wonderful Jenolan Caves, our next stop was Cowra. Being new to Australia, I think I underestimated the distances and the boring landscape. Hills, farm, cow, tree for 200 kilometers. Every now and then we passed through a village and took the opportunity to stretch our legs by finding a cache.
In Oberon we also stopped for lunch at the Monkey Bean Cafe. As we drove out of town, we quickly stopped at the roadsign wishing us safe travels, and to find the nearby cache! Only 149 kilometers left to go.
Many thanks for the cache Code1.

This took a couple of minutes to find but find it we did! There was a snail inside chomping on the log, never knew they ate paper! We dislodged it and signed the log. Hubby then made a makeshift cap for the container in case the marauding snail came back. Cache now safely back in hidey-hole. TFTC
We've had a beaut day caching around Oberon and Black Springs today. We started off doing a few caches then had a good lunch in DJ's Cafe then off to the local IGA for a few supplies. After that back to the caching.

Found with Orrsome86 and my eldest son while touring the area. Our goals for the day were to find a new reviewer, get a decent amount of altitude sickness challenge qualifying caches and then get home. First we packed up the tent and said our farewells to our fellow campers, then we found the reviewer in a multi, did a few walks, a few of the road less traveled, a visit to Oberon, then more of the road less traveled and finally headed home. It was a wet morning with light showers most of the time. Finally when we started heading home the day dried up and we were stuck in the car for hours, me with soaked feet. In the end we did everything, we only need one more reviewer and should now have enough total altitude after finding forty five caches in one day, a new personal record.
Really not sure if this was the cache or not. We found a empty container in a nice spot, so wrote our names on a bit of paper and left it there. If that is not right please delete this log. It made sense with the hint.
Thanks for the questionable cache!

After packing up the tent before the rain arrived we set off to try and find enough caches to qualify for The NSW Altitude Sickness Challenge as well as find a cache published by a unique reviewer. All up we found 45 caches for the day before heading back home.
We found the partial remains of this cache and placed a signed piece of paper in it. CO needs to confirm if this is the cache and if so needs to maintenance. Happy to remove log if the CO states that we didn't find the cache. TFTC.

Another DNF from me. Maybe the third time I might be lucky. All I could find is the remnants of a cache. Maybe the CO can confirm from the image that I posted.
So many places it could have been, than I spied something out of the ordinary...
Bathurst day 3, TRLT Trail Day2
What a different a day makes, its a perfect spring day. Once again we hit the trail, not one DNF today.
We have enjoyed the many tracks we have travel the variety of scenery & caches found.

The hint dawned on me as I drove home last Monday. Today, it was a quick find. TFTC.
Finalf29 had a TAFE excursion to the Mayfield Gardens, so I came along to do a bit of caching as well. The weather was beautiful, the gardens were wonderful and the company fantastic. We spent too long at the gardens so only got thirteen before it got dark. We will definitely be back up this way again.
This was our fifth for the day. We only had a few hours until the sun set so madly rushed around Oberon finding what we could. Sneaky little cache, but it didn't find us sleeping on the job. Thanks

Happy Uke and I attended a TAFE excursion to the NSW country town of Oberon. We visited the Mayfield Gardens which I can recommend to any garden enthusiast as being well worthwhile. The gardens are a work in progress and cover several acres.
We got this one on the way coming into Oberon. The Name says it all.
Thanks!

The description for this cache is correct. We did have the place to ourselves when we first arrived but very soon a truck stopped while the driver checked his load. However we continued with the search and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.
