We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to Bundyrumandcoke for the generation of this nice cache Weird Al Ver 2.0 (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. TFTC. The plastic container is old and brittle. The bottom has nearly fallen out completely.
This one was peaceful and easy to find. The cache container needs to be replaced. It's falling apart because if sun damage. Thank for the cache!
Popped up for a look after a day at nearby Curragh.
The weir looks an interesting spot worthy of more time, unfortunately at this time of year the sun sets too soon after the end of the work day.
Cache found in the near dark, thanks to the useful hint.

Pprime and I escaped Brisbane for the long weekend for the delayed public holiday for the Ekka. We hit the road to Emerald and back home via Roma.
The GPS had us walking past the cache about 10m to the left but the hide was easy to see so we made the detour to it.

After lunch we headed out and replaced the cache for you. Its all good now. not a systema anymore.
Left a TB to continue its travels. Please be gentle getting him out.

We are camped at the weir and were pleasantly surprised to find a cache nearby. Thanks.
Easy find there are quite a couple triple trees though. Found with Suse_michelle and family
Drove out an enjoyed a cup of coffee by the wier grabed the cash on the way back out Tftc!
Found yesterday afternoon with offroadcaveman. Great spot, we had to sit relax and sip a coffee by the waters edge a good long while, then back in the geovehicle for a quick sign and hide after looking around for a triple/quadruple tree on the way out. Found about three in the arvo. Cheers bundyrumandcoke for showing us this tranquil spot.
#109 Nice easy find today. Very hot out and about on a morning drive to complete the last 2 Blackwater caches. We were surprised there weren't more people using the weir. Left a dinosaur sticker. TFTC.
Cache all good but I would call the tree a quadruple rather than a triple. Found easily enough, cache nice and dry.
Found after a short walk from free camp at the Weir
Great spot to camp for a few days
Cache and contents all goid

After attending the Red Centre Experience event and spending a little time exploring some iconic locations in the Northern Territory, it was time to make a more or less express trip back home. Fortunately there were sufficient well placed caches at opportune spots to safely park and stretch our legs on our way home [^].
Now that we have had a small taste of what there is to offer in central and north-west Queensland, we will need to look at organising another trip sometime when we can spend more time to explore the area. We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the logbook, we continued on our long journey.
Thank you Bundyrumandcoke for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Heading out to the weir for a day or 2. Amazing to think the water could ever be that high.
Cache was right where it should have been.
Thanks for adding to our adventures Bundyrumandcoke!

Found it out in the open near the spot, sign and replaced with a family of kangaroos watching.Nice Camping area nearby.
Tftc it 2as wonderful for our little girl to find. We took a jewel and replaced it with a jewel key vhain.
Came from the north via Dysart and Grasstree. The road is sealed all the way now. Wow this cache has some history. An easy find after investigating the free camp nearby, plenty of travellers resting up here. Cache secure and in good condition. Thanks for another one Bundyrumandcoke.
After having found Solidarity I entered the co ordinates for this one then followed the GPSr to the area of GZ. A little bit of good gravel and no traffic. Parked off the road and walked in about 15 meters to area of GZ and soon had the container in hand. Signed the log and replaced where found. The additional hint is very accurate. All good with this one.

We have been staying in Sapphire for a few days and decided to head east towards Blackwater to try to log some of the caches along the highway and in Blackwater itself. We had already grabbed those that we could find as far as Emerald.
We decided to tackle those on the left hand side of the road on the way in and then vice versa on the way back to Sapphire
We ae glad we didn't see any very large pythons like a previous finder did. After logging the cache we continued to the river's edge to boil the billy and enjoy a cuppa. There were about fifteen different rigs enjoying the free camping spot.
As we exited the the 'weir' road onto the Capricorn Highway we were lucky enough to see one of the monster coal trains travelling towards Blackwater. It must have been over a kilometre long with engines front, centre and rear. We waved to all of the engines but weren't lucky enough to get a honk We had no idea whether there was even a driver in the second two engines as the windows are so black and we don't know whether it is possible for all three engines to be controlled from the first one or if a driver is required in all three??
Eventually the train slowed to a rolling stop in Blackwater. We saw two other coal trains during the rest of the day....another full one and an empty one travelling towards Emerald. We always waved to the engines....we must have looked like real wally's on the highway there
Thanks for showing us this beautiful spot at the weir Bundyrumandcoke[^]
