Due to a number of recent DNF's, we did a cache check on this one today. The cache is there, in the place where it has always been. The GPS can be a bit wobbly under the trees, so we updated the coordinates slightly. We also updated the hint with some additional wording.
Coordinates changed from:S 33 47.863 E 151 8.171Coordinates changed to:S 33 47.857 E 151 8.171Distance from original: 36.6 feet or 11.2 meters.Slight adjustment of the coordinates.
Didnt find this last September. After a successful day and evening with fellow geocachers in the Northern Beaches, let convert DNFs on the way home. Unfortunately Snert is guarding this furiously. Both my searches were after dark, so next time it gotta be daylight. thanks The Vikings nevertheless for providing this hide.
Gotcha. GZ isnt too overgrown. Trusted the hint and zoomed in on my hunch with sufficient thoroughness to pull it out. Thanks!
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU.
Poked around for 30mins. No luck though. Lots of leaf litter and bark everywhere
Decided to relook for this cache given the new souvenir challenge that had started. This time found it in a spot where we had almost looked last time. We obviously did not look properly.
Thanks to the Vikings for placing the cache.

After the last number of DNF's, we did a check on the cache today.
The cache is there, safe and sound, in its intended location, and is just waiting to be found.
Jacking up the terrain rating slightly, due to the growth of vegetation.

Attempted this one after hockey this morning. Spent 45 minutes here looking low and couldn’t find anything. There are so many places it could be and the coordinates waver a bit. I tried to navigate to the old coordinates too but ended up in roughly the same place. I checked a 15 metre radius around the general spot the coordinates took me but no spot I checked eventuated with the cache. I also tried to pin the spot using the photos but couldn’t get my bearings. Could not locate the stump that seems to be in a lot of the old photos. Will keep an eye on this one. Thanks
Looked around - didn’t find it. Since it was logged in 2008 suspect it’s not here any more
reluctantly logging a DNF. Ventured out at lunchtime, searched for a while, and my work clothes got all messy with cobwebs. Will have to come back again.
Woof !

Checked on the cache due to the recent DNF's. The cache is still where it is supposed to be.
Updated the coordinates slightly and added a hint.

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 47.861 E 151° 8.177
Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 47.863 E 151° 8.171
Distance from original: 32.8 feet or 10.0 meters.
Even though the trees to some extent make the accuracy of the GPS a bit lesser, these adjusted coordinates might be a bit better than the old ones.

GPS bounced a lot and I spent way too long looking given that this is a 2/2. Anyone else who wants to try, now would be a good time, I must have walked through and knocked down every spider web in the area!
Did a cache check up today. All good, Snert is waiting for you to come and get him.

Unfortunately no luck here... We tried, and tried, and cleaned up many many spiderwebs in the tress... with our faces... But nothing. I wish the hint was a bit more... helpful. I could hardly call this a park.. more like a green corner.
#This Day#
Half day off from work and maybe our last time off until we have to leave. We just had to take advantage of this day to try and find The First Cache in Australia. Took an Uber there and walked back to get whatever caches are on the way.

We are back in Australia this year, despite these rough COVID times. We are here for work, but every now and then some time off allows for a bit of geocaching. Visited Adelaide for a day but after that we spent most of the time in Sydney Olympic Park.
It is my first time in South Australia and NSW, so it is very nice to get these state souvenirs!

Found after a brief poke around. Not quite FTF but first to sign the new log. Cheers! TFTC
30 min to find, beautiful owl sleeping 5mts away on a branch. we did not losten to our first hunch, great find
Found again a few years later (this time with my 3yo). Log book is wet and there was no pencil. TFTC!
A nice easy find - log book very wet - I wrapped it in tissue to absorb some of the moisture and Bindiguider added new log. TFTC
Day out with morty8888 caching around North Ryde.
Here we had a quick find although we couldn't sign the log as it was saturated. We also found a couple of spades that locals have been using to build a BMX course.

A quick walk from the expressway park, in thru the trees and there was a possibility. Success... C I H

It was a nice easy cache to find. Unfortunately, i must have been standing on a bull ant nest as i scored 2 nasty bites, right at GZ. So watch your steps at this one. Thanks for the cache!
I didn’t like this cache for the fact I had to dodge spider and their webs. Started in one way and went nope, went around the other way still dodging spider webs. Went out again and walked up further and went in and find it easily.
Got to the spot but with spider webs absolutely everywhere the kids and I had had enough.
A lovely little patch of bushland within spitting distance of a main arterial road.
At the GZ i looked around for a bit before expanding my search and finding it in an obvious spot.
I dropped the tb Geo that had been with me for a while. Time for someone else to take it on a journey.
Thanks.

This was a trip, together with CrazyHiker68, in order to celebrate our birthdays. We've been to Hong Kong, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and - last but not least - Singapore. It was out of question that we had to search for hidden caches - sometimes we did it together, sometimes we did it apart. Anyway, it was lot of fun and I love looking back to those days. This find was an easy one and I want to TFTC [^]
Together with Fischmac68 I travelled to Hongkong, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore for four weeks. We have seen a lot of beautiful places and cities and enjoyed the summer time at the other side of the world.
Of course we also had a look at some geocaches. Many could be found, like this one, some other could not.
Thanks for the cache and many greetings from Germany.

I had to go to Microsoft today for work and I convinced Deep_99 he should join me after work to grab this cache. Thanks to all the recent rain, the mozzies were out in force, I'm sooo itchy! Nice quick find. SL #3851 on streak day #2350

Today we headed over to North Ryde and Denistone East for a mixture of short walk and "park & grab" caches. This was the 3rd of 17 finds for the day.
With the geomobile still parked in the Blenheim Park parking area, after grabbing the other two nearby caches, we headed up to this one. Followed the grassy strip between the bush reserve and the back of the houses down to GZ, where the hide was quickly uncovered and it was CIH. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. TFTC The Vikings.

Out and about with EverestHigh and ADI. This one was nicely camouflaged, but we got after a minute or so. TFTC
Easy find in a nice pocket of bush between busy roads with Alnic39 after the CITO in Wallumatta Reserve. TFTC The Vikings

Out today with Brewmaker finding some caches around Macquarie Park, East Ryde, and Lane Cove North.
We parked the car nearby and then it was just a short walk to the cache from another one nearby. We headed towards gz where I found the cache a little exposed. Signed the log and then replaced it a metre away in a much more safe and secure hiding spot. Then it was back in the car and onto the next one. TFTC

#103. 8:45am. Found it. Tried lots of holes. Must remember to bring gloves. Worried one day I'll run into an occupant . Fyi, the local streets turn into carpark central during morning peak. TFTC
Found at night with frazel, dlturner and kazzacosmo. Fairly easy in the dark with torches. Tftc
Happy to find this one, unsure why I haven’t found this before. On way home from finding new night cache. Found pretty quickly TFTC
Last cache of the evening. Decided to take the easy way to the cache. It certainly wasn't were I was expecting it. Almost tripped over it searching for it. Thanks for the cache.
Located at 8:13pm. A little bit of back and forth in the hazy darkness, passed the camouflage a couple of times before making the find. Спасибо! תודה! TFTC!
Found itttt. Took not so long quite obvious but it was a great cache. Recomended for beginners.

Out getting my daily cache around North Ryde. Went bush after a short stroll from the car and happy to make a quick find. Didn't realise this was a Vikings cache until logging. Only 2 more left to find in Australia.

The camo is certainly effective. I spent probably 10 minutes walking around in circles, and must have walked past the cache a dozen times. Then I caught a glimpse of it when I happened to look from the right angle.
Caching the holidays away. Found by WW Knoble who actually looked while the rest of us just poked at potential hidey spots. Left some small swapsies.

On my way to my job site after doing a quote this morning. I've seen this one on the way the way home a few times but never a good time to stop. I was hoping to do a quick park and grab but I had to park in a side street and walk to GZ.
I was hoping that this cache would still be here seeing as it hasn't been found in 4 months. I searched the usual places and found nothing. Hmmm okay a more intense search is needed, this one had me scratching my head for a while, then BINGO!! I caught a glimpse of it in a place I wasn't expecting.
Nice hide. Cache and log are still in good condition.

Whilst out finding the Lane Cove cache decided to grab a few others close by. A bit of a search to grab this one, but eventually found. Last for the day and my Australia trip. TFTC.
Found it with Hedgy77. Pretty easy find although it wasn't in the place that I thought it would be.

An afternoon of caching in neighbouring North Ryde took me to Snert's Slope.
With 'Snert' I have a totally different idea than a dog. Back in the Netherlands, 'Snert' has two meanings. The first one is 'lousy', like lousy weather, and the other -more common one- is the traditional green pea soup with smoked sausage which is eaten in during the cold winter months. A good 'snert' should be so thick that a spoon remains upright in it.
The cache was not lousy, nor did it had to do anything with soup. It was a quick find!
Thanks for the cache.
