Can't find it. Last find is 18months ago with a number of DNF's since.

As a previous finder I was with sjg66 and can confirm it is not there. CO has not logged on for some time, so time to archive this one.

@1500
On my way home from orienteering near Bungendore, I did a few park and grabs in Queanbeyan. I searched for a while but couldn't find a cache.

24-Jan-18
No finds since July 2017. Needs to be checked.

23-Jan-18
In the area visiting son Wombats Inc. This one seems to have gone missing. Spent some time searching up to 15m from GZ without a sight of the prize. There is plenty of evidence that cachers have been searching but no successful logs for some months. Perhaps the CO could check and confirm that the cache is still alive.
Thanks anyway.

27-Oct-17
Spend 30mins looking for this one with no luck.

16-Jul-17
Took a few minutes to found the right spot, good views though back down to the river and swimming hole. If only it was another 25 degrees warmer. Cache lid cracked, will soon require some attention. TNLNSL

05-Apr-17
Am surprised I'm the first to find since July last year! Not many hordes coming this way apparently.
Was a short stroll from a carpark near the last house above down the hill. Can see the proper walkway and viewing area down below.
Cache in good nick, though the container lid is now cracked and brittle. Provided a new log bag, and left a clapper.

03-Aug-15
Such a cool area!! Took the wrong path and had to scale the cliff a bit to get back on track. Luckily I had some skills, learned from watching Bear Grylls, to do so. The cache wasn't covered up at all so signed the log and then covered it up a bit better. Tftc

Canberra Day 9:30am

We logged "Wombat Holes" which is a bit of a puzzle to solve now days it seems - and then headed towards the swimming hole for this one. We met a lovely pair of Ridgebacks who hailed us as we passed. Then me and the hound clambered over rocks, past the waterfall, hopped over crevasses - and I thought , what a great place for a cache. But no, its not here - its up there!
So up we went. I am so proud of the little Ridgeo-pup who clawed her way up an almost vertical rock face (usual climbs for her are onto the sofa). I decided to abort, back track and find an easier path. Which we did, we found and we logged. Even though it tested us a bit, I am so glad we went the wrong way - it's so pretty - and a great place for the Canberra Horde. TFTC horde_spirit

Completing my daily cache I stopped by here and began my search. Many areas looked likely however after a good search of the surrounding area the container was soon located.

I've just had brekky with Knightech. We're having a couple of days off. We're going to do a few caches to get over dinner and drinks at Chez Knightech's last night. This one was a walk across the huge roundabout, followed by a quick find. TFTC!! This is my third of five for the day. Good view. We cunningly approached from the top, so it wasn't TOO energetic.

23-May-14
Easy find and nice hide TFTC

04-May-14
#2205 - 17:35; After missing the flash mob event earlier in the day, headed over the border for a few finds later in the afternoon. Decided to grab a couple along the border which I didn't get to last week. I returned from another find further up the hill, after I realised that I should have made for this one instead of the cache further up the hill! Anyway, all was good as I parked and ste off. Reached GZ, had a good look around and spotted the hide. Log was signed, cache returned and a TB dropped off for good measure. TFTC horde spirit Smile

Gps a bit wonky here but we found cache using common sense once we stopped staring at the phone for help. Tyfc!

13-Apr-14
found an alternative way of getting there, involving a bit more risk, but that's the way I like it!!

Phone GPS had me walking around in circles for 5 minutes but then I saw it! There was no pen but a semi working barbie highlighter so I'm logged albeit you might have to look closely! TFTC!

This is becoming once a week regular. But at least it gets us up at 5.30am. A caching foray interstate to NSW with Marmaduke Rothschild. Most I've ever seen of Jerrabomberra. Did as many as we could in 3 hours. TFTC.

Found with JohnnyBoy. TFTC.

Quick find while telling snake stories. Tftc

19-Jan-14
After a short bush bash and sharing snake stories with clemdoog, we arrived at the GZ. Long grass and rocks make me nervous at this time of year. Saw where the cache was hiding, so after a bit of whacking the area, I reached in and pulled out the cache. Did the paper work and returned it to it's hidey hole and we were on our way. Found an easier way back to the car of course. No muggles about today. I think the hot summer day may be keeping people near their air-cons. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC!

08-Sep-13
After cleaning out several caches in the Jerra Pathways series, the geoteam of Rapidlywild and specimenX had this one on the radar to collect. Initially we went up the hill in the car, but couldn't find a good place to park, so then we descended to a better spot to park the car. Then it was off up he hill to find the cache. After inspecting a couple of spots and admiring the beautiful native orchids at GZ. Rapidlywild stumbled on the hide when taking photos! Anyway, log was signed, TB left and cache returned. Thanks horde spirit! Smile

08-Sep-13
Continuing on our "Geomission" to reach the 500th find for me today we moved along to this one. We originally approached this one from the top however due to the location we changed our minds and travelled back down to the bottom and parked. As I was having some issues with a muscle in my leg, todays plans included no hills. Well we broke that rule on this one. The leg was feeling pretty good so we decided to give it a go.

As we were at the GZ looking for the cache, we seens some really pretty purple orchids that I decided to take a photo of. They were everywhere and really pretty. As I was taking my photo "I found it" by accident and let specimenX know Smile

Signed log and returned to cache. Returned cache to GZ location Smile

Headed back down the hill, of course taking the hard route up and the easy route down, the Geocaching way Big Grin

Find 494 done. Off to the next one.

Thanks horde_spirit for the cache [:p]

First day of Spring and it was a cracker to get out and about. What a delightful location - opened my eyes to why Waterfall Dr got its name. 2/3 geokids had fun finding this one. Only had a dodgy flouro yellow texta in the container, so logging was hard. TNLN, TFTC.

It took some effort on the terrain to find it, but was worth it. The view was great, and there was even an RC quadracopter dropping in (hopefully not a camera-equipped muggle device Razz). TFTC.

27-Jul-13
We approached this one from the top but had a bit of trouble locating the GZ as we were having some GPS troubles. But eventually K3rbla! Came up with the find. Great view from around the GZ even though the toy helicopter hovering nearby was slightly unnerving at first. TFTC.

24-Apr-12
The eighth day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland saw a marked change in the weather. Heavy rain in the morning was followed by cold winds, very cold when we didn’t bring the winter woolies. After tracking down some more details for some of the Great Aussie Icon Hunt caches, we cached in Jerrabomberra and later went back into Canberra. At times we got rather wet but that didn’t deter our enthusiasm for caching for the day.

Given the comments in the cache description, we decided to tackle this cache from the top of the slope. It was very slippery getting down to the area of GZ because of the very wet grass and the loose gravel surface in places. We hunted around for about 10 minures, widening our search area until the cache was located. After signing the log and rehiding the cache, the shorter of the 2y'stassies headed down into the gully to explore the lovely pond and waterfall in more detail whilst the taller returned to the car and moved it to the next location. Cache in good shape. Lots of "cliff divers". use the path along the water.

15-Jan-12
Easy find thanks, lots of prickles though!

05-Jan-12
Followed the water line until GPS said it was to my left... Straight up, so a quick climb and found it. Tftc.

28-Dec-11
Found it quite easily during a pleasant walk with the dog. Took plastic ring, left magnifying glass. Lucky I had a biro because there isn't a pen/pencil in the cache.

A bit more searching required than I initially expected, but trusted the GPS and got there in the end. Took Halloween toy, left toy car of same colour. Orange you glad I did? TFTC!

24-Nov-11
Not many hordes about today--brrrr--some noisy dogs and some different coords but there it was.

19-Nov-11
Found on a hot day...wished I was in the water.
Thanks!

ps this cache is directly under the flight path.

What a great cache. Took the wrong track to start with ,but soon got the right one.
Cache was well hidden and enjoyed the top views all round.
We gave this a favourite tick.
Many thanks to horde spirit for the top swimming hole location.

Found it on a gorgeous day. The swimming hole was full of kids.

Number 100! W00t!

Searched and searched with RedcrowX for this one,our GPSs both kept bouncing around up and down the hill. Finally located just as we were about to give up.

Doubly excited about finding this cache because I was able to finally release my travel bug "Johnny Cache" into the wild.

Thanks for the cache!

19-Jun-11
I was amazed to see the nearby water hole-it looks so clear and swimmable. Minifig Ant and I spent quiet sometime on this one, as our GPSs continued to send us up and down that hill. In the end Minifig located it just on the edge of our rather large GZ area. TFTC

12-Jun-11
Poked around in the rocks for ages, scrambled up and scrambled down. Finally looked a bit more closely at the GPS and found that the coords were spot on. Another triumphant find for the geokid.

11-Jun-11
This was hard for our first day but we found it and it was worth it. The view was fabulous, we swapped things and spent a lovely afternoon wandering back down the hill!! Thank you : D

29-May-11
As the rest of the team had already found this I was left to my own to walk up the hill and search, obviously I was use to a more adventurous hides from other caches so spent a bit of time searching the wrong area, after some advice from Agent Basil I stepped back up and actually trusted the GPS to put me in the correct area and found straight away.
Anyway nice location enjoyed the view.

20-Mar-11
Tftc! Grear cache. Enjoyed the walk and the area.

23-Dec-10
Took a while to find but still ok. Cool area but steep slope and we took the hard way down. Nice hiding spot. Took geocoin in exchange for another geocoin. TFTC.Wink

Cool idea, I'm a gamer / comic geek so World of War Craft theme caches are sweet however thorny bushes and a GPS that just wont settle and our first real warm day had me frustrated. I kept at it though and came up with goods so all's well that ends well - I saw a few kids and a family swimming in the pond, that looks like heaps of fun in summer. Cheers, I'll be back for wombat holes another time. Thanks for the Cache.

PS: would be cool to see a world of warcraft series/puzzle come up one day based on the heroes and hordes of warcraft.

Should have trusted the GPS a little more on this one instead of looking in places that I thought it might have been. Still, nice spot to explore and after a few minutes, I found the easy to find cache.

found pretty easy although the etrex doesn't like this area that much, bounces around alot, swapped out a tooth for a few kids toys Smile TFTC!

This was my second find for the day, after I found my first ever geocache at "wombat holes". This spot is less than a kilometre from home and I haven't been up here for quite some time. Thanks for bringing me to this spot again Canberra Horde and reminding how nice an area it is.
