We were getting a bit of cabin fever with the bad weather and today is a hit diner so decided to come out for a cache or 2. The owner came out and was very obliging at telling us where the cache was. Wouldn’t have found it without the help. Third post in the fence line. TFTC
Thank you Mandy from

Now going to the famous pie place in Dairy Flat

Thanks 'Tanglewood', went back and had another look and found it!! Got distracted by other 4's so you do need to search abit. Enjoying our new hobby these school holidays.
In the area today with Jag50. We parked close by and Mrs Jag made a nice quick find
On our approach we saw all the aggies and were a bit concerned about trying to find the cache. Luck was on our side today, as we found the cache in the first place we looked.
Awesome find! Took quite a few minutes but found it eventually. Map was a bit off so we used our instincts. 4 was the key. Could be double meaning....
Visiting my son for the weekend, and I dragged him along to a 'get as many as possible today' outing... We had great fun and fitted in a walk as well as some driving. Nice day to be out and about!
Hint a bit misleading as it was definitely behind. TFTC!!

Thank you very much for the cache. On our trip from Germany, we found it early in the morning. Afterwards we had a nice coffee in Silverdale.
We (Sunny-Lady and myself) didn’t manage to get all the clues, but we did find it anyway Thanks for hiding - nice trip on this rainy day to grab our first New Zealand cache while being here on vacation. Really a lovely neighborhood and beautiful landscape on the north island!
I was looking well clear of the private property when the house owner came bounding out yelling, "Did you find it yet?" He pointed to the right spot with the right number, which helped me out of my predicament.
He said he has two daughters who are 'crazy' about Geocaching and their names were Tracey and Mandy, so I knew exactly who placed the cache. Dad says, "Hello". TFTC.

The key clue is finding the number 4. Friendly man but no need to go on his property
Slight detour while heading past Dairy Flat today. Parked up near the pony club and walked back down. Soon spotted the relevant clues and the cache was found. TFTC
Sad to say I took a veeeerrrryyyy long time searching here....no one at home to help either !
Finally...as just ready to reluctantly move on ...I looked in a totally other place , and there it was, laughing at me !
What a relief !
Thanks MandyP.....

Knew I was in the right place when I saw the name on the garage and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
bad idea to do it day after a storm - there were trees fallen all over it so took ages, but found it eventually
A long way from home today... We are targeting several puzzle solves to put toward our current license challenge. With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
Not a lot of places to hide anything here... We searched the obvious before widening our zone... TFTC.

1.10pm - We are doing well today collecting a few other caches while on our Smiley trail. Easy find. SLTFTC
Well, todays weather forecast was for rain, all day, and they got it right. Very right indeed. I don't know about a cache mobile, today a waka would have been more fitting or even an ark. Got enough piggies and puppies to exceed the two by two rule too.
Target for today was a couple of letterboxes, a few unique Southern minutes of degrees for a challenge cache I'm creeping ever closer to achieving and anything else that I decided to stop in the pouring rain to try and write and get every single drop of rain down my neck.
Onto the main business of the day. Head along the linking road up to Kaipara Road then back down SH1 via Warkworth and some other places.
First up though a quick park and grab for this cache before getting back on track

After lunch at Dairy Flat decided to head over to Kumeu for Strawberry Ice-creams whilst picking up a few caches on the way. Nice quick park & grab. TFTC
Out for a couple of caches earlier in the day had turned into 5 hours and by this stage no light left! One more on the way home we thought even though we didn't have our caching torches with us. We fumbled about in the dark trying to utilise the phone torch when a voice came from behind " Did you try the...." Thanks CO's dad for taking pity on us.
"Thanks! And Merry Christmas" we called out and the log was quickly signed.
Now off we go home, or maybe just one more??

Turns out I went a little too far past the house it was outside of, Had a meander back under the trees, and quickly found it.
Just to let all cachers know that the owners of the property (mum and dad) know the cache is there and will even help you out if you get stuck. The driveway is probably the best place to park as the road can be quite dangerous. So if you see someone walking towards your car, don't panic, they won't shoot you!!!
On an extreme caching mission from the mighty 'Tron with 11hpgh11, HKCB & JDM99, hoping to complete three Auckland power trails & find as many extra caches as we could along the way. We logged as any number of the possible combinations of H, H, K & J, as we kept forgetting which combo we'd agreed on.
Parked up here & saw a muggle watch us get out of the car; what to do? Abandon or keep looking? Decided to keep looking but couldn't immediately spot the final hint item ... turns out we were looking from the wrong angle coz we were trying to be subtle and very conscious of being watched. Muggle then wandered over & introduced himself as CO's dad - nice to meet you! - & gave us a nudge as to what we'd missed. Cache quickly in hand soon after, TFTC

A trip a long time in the making. 4 brave cachers to attempt 3 Auckland Powertrails in one day. Could it be done? Who knows. HKCB, Kiwis69, Jdm99 and myself arose early and left Hamilton to attempt a massive collection of caches. We logged as a group name HKJH or HHKJ or JKHH as our brains got wearier as the day progressed.
We tried so hard to look subtle but we must of made ourselves look obvious as the CO Dad came out to greet us and help us out. Nice to meet you.

Out and about with Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and JDM99 on the sole purpose of tackling all 3 power trails in one day, and any else in between. To maximise as much daylight as possible it meant a real early start, so was on our way to Auckland at 3.30am, and the first cache located just before 5.30am. After many puppies, a couple of piggies, a few smilies, some epic field puzzles, and a trip down route 66, 16 hours of caching, 250ish caches and numerous kilometres we achieved our goal about 9.30pm. A great day, with some great company. Thanks to everyone for all the placements, we signed the logs with some combination of HHJK, for some reason the order kept changing.
Tried to look stealthy but ended being caught by the CO's dad, in a way this helped matters as it did speed up the find.

Tagged along with Kiwis69, 11hpg11, and HKCB in the hope of grabbing 3 Auckland power trails in one day. A big day out and lots of fun. Thanks heaps to everyone for all the cache placements, logged as a combination of JKHH in random order. TFTC
I crept in and crept out. Spotted it quickly, signed and silently left. Cheers and TFTC
Discreet park up, I heard neighbours close by so I found the needed cache quickly then moved on. TFTC.
Out and about after work today for a drive to blow the cobwebs away. Nice quick find here. Cache is letting in water. Cheers for the cache placement.
Found in the dark with my torch. Log was soaking so added a new one inside a bag.
Find #562. Thanks for the cache. 16/07/2014 19:06

Wandering around the front yard trying to find the cache due to misinterpreting the name for a hint. Yeah right till I saw the name on the house .. Refocused and had the cache in my hands within seconds. TFTC
Blimey, we made a meal out of this one!! What should have been a quick find took us AGES. But found in the end, thanks for the cache
Left work early, so decided to do some geocaching in the area with this beautiful summy weather. A whole bunch of muggles were meeting at one of the houses by the cache. A good 30 cars were parked by the road, so did the same! Had to be extra cautions when I retrieved the cache. TFTC
I appreciated the nice quick and easy find after having abit of trouble finding somewhere safe to park the truck. Turns out i was only a few minutes out of the truck anyhow. A quick find here in between completing the smile series. TFTC!
Got it, eliminated other spots and was left with this one, great to get this marked off the map

Been after this one for a while now, but never seemed to have the time until now. Nicely hidden.
Gps had as on wrong side of road..but team Welsh set us straight. Easy find once in the correct area.
this is a little tricky as the clues didn't quite match where the cache was but good old che had it in the end
Quick find while doing a blitz of the area. Co-ords seemed a bit out. Used last log to find it!
This one had us a little lost for a little while as we couldn't really figure out what we were looking for. After a bit of persistence and rethinking, evilno9 came up with an idea, and it happened to be the rite one! TFTC
Very interesting one for us this one - we were heading back in the direction of home when we pulled in for this one and had a look. Spent a little bit of time looking for the items in the description and eventually found the cache when we noticed that 3 was a lot hotter than 4. TFTC
TFTC. On way to friends.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Decided to spend the day caching out Whangaparaoa and drove up the old SH1 to get there, picking up a few caches along the way. Had a quick look around GZ before someone walked down from the house to talk to us - turns out it was Team Welsh. They assisted with our search and confirmed that the cache had indeed gone missing. They kindly gave us permission to log the find, although technically it was a DNF!
Nice to meet you today Team Welsh!!

We were visiting Mum and Dad today when saw some geocachers pull up. Wandered over to introduce ourselves and it was lovely to meet Phasevisitor. However, no cache to be found and we check on it regularly so no idea how it could have gone missing. Dad is to fashion a replacement so should be back in place very soon if not already. Permission given to Phasevisitor to log as found as they were certainly looking in the right place.

Checked this cache out for sister dear and it is all still good. Dropping off some trackables here for her to pick up (helps it is at mum and dad's house)
Hmm... a tough one!! Must return!! It was getting dark as I was searching, so I am blaming that! Haha.
I figured that the owners would know about the cache, but I still felt so dodgy in the bushes in the dark! Oh well! Will be back!

On the way to Orewa stopped for this cache. Dropped off a new logbook-sheet. Nice neighbours around there. Thanks for the cache.
Very nice quick find for our newbie cacher DrPaige. Heading on a day caching trip our StHiway 16 and wellsford area. TFTC.
Out for a caching roadtrip north of Auckland with Furbies, SandipantsNZ and newbie cacher DrPaige. DrPaige had his hands on this one first and asked "Is this it?" Sure is DrPaige, nice work
Heading out for a day searching for dalmations, we made a quick stop at this cache first. TFTC

Went hunting for this one on the way to 101 Dalmations. Due to lack of alternatives, parked on the driveway - I was going to be nearby anyway. Was still narrowing in on GZ, when I noticed the local resident heading for my car to see what was up. I casually headed back to my car, and was gone before he got there. Decided not to try again this morning.
[ Got in easily while owner was under car bonnet at 11am this morning. Nice quick easy find (on second visit) after pondering the wording!!!!. TFTC ] .
