I am archiving this cache as some cachers have been damaging the stone wall and the cache has been removed by the council.
What a great place and so much history - even the dirt road down was hair raising, then to end up at a cemetery. Loved the apple tree and I understand it has a long history - some lady was searching for details about it. Took geocoin.
I was on my way to get Rock 'N' Roll when I saw the rocks had been dislodged from the cache site, I went for a closer look and the cache was no where to be seen. I only found a soggy piece of paper that would have once been inside of the cache
Easy find, mainly because it was just sitting exposed on the wall. It looks like it's hiding place may have fallen off. We weren't sure what to do so just covered it as best we could. TFTC
Wow, it is like being somewhere completely different out here, lovely place! thanks for bringing I here, so peaceful and quiet!
Found early morning before continuing on our trip around the South Island. An interesting spot. TFTC
Again ive forgotten to log a cache!! dont know how i manage to keep doing this. Lovely little graveyard.
Nice place, the apples are delicous. TFTC

Apples and thyme. I love these old historical sites. Found cache with Old Boots TFTC
A busy spot with MTBers, runners and walkers about today, had to wait for a break in the 'traffic' to make the grab.

Nice easy drive by to an interesting place. The muggle who was driving us around kept refering to the area as the 'poo paddock' so we were expecting something really dodgy - it was nice to find the opposite of what was expected!
Hot day in Central so obviously a good opportunity to "go for a run in the hills" - yeah right! Nevertheless, thats what I did. Pieced together a run based on 3 geocaches. This is number one - found and dropped off a TB.
We are absolutely amazed at the places we find that have so much history of early life here during the gold rush era. Thanks for bringing us here. Salamat!
Clever hide in a lonely part of Alex. Had a good look around in the drizzle. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC [^]
I had done a walk with friends beginning from here during my years as muggle. It was a nice place. A friendly cat come to say hello while I was looking for the cache. Nice cache 7 of 11 Found ANZAC day

what a beautiful spot and what yummy apples there were on the tree, now have apple crumble in the oven...
Biked past the day before, but too late to see the cache, so drove back. Had a free apple. Thanks.
Found while cycling in 35+ degrees heat! Quick find. TFTC.

Suprising that I had done the walk right beside it about 2 times already! TFTC.
Another cache that took me somewhere new and also introduced me to the Roxburgh lake walk Thanks
Love visiting cemeteries so this was a MUST DO for me. muggle was just leaving as I arrived. TFTC.
I always find I get an eerie feeling around sites like this! But it's great that they are kept in tact as much as they can be so that we can still learn about the history of the area.
Find number 19 out of 21 for the day.

Interesting spot; would never have known about it if not for the cache. Through the long grass the path to GZ was well-worn, so it was an easy find without the hint. Cheers.
Thank you for leading us to this out of the way cemetry as genealogists and geo chasers it it nice to combine the two and stop to read the head stones.TFTC
A quick find in a great location. Its been a few years since I last visited this spot.
1230hrs Had to have lunch whilst waiting for some muggles that were parked right to the GC to leave. Interesting historical spot. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Kids got a bit spooked and didn't want to enter the site nice to know some of the history.Good Site
One of our favourite local caches for the interesting history here. Were careful with the cache location, have seen a bit of destruction in the north with these sorts of hides. TFTC (PS its cemetery isn't it?)
Found with Tramper Ted. This was a very moving spot to visit - it really brought home the hardships people endured in the early days.
Another interesting place to visit. I found the start to a walkway I must have a look at doing next time I am in the region.
I have to admit i went to the wrong edge with this one. one of the historical site of things of the area.
I was out caching this morning after there had been some overnight rain - the aromas coming from the ground were wonderful. Thanks for bringing me to a unique piece of local history tucked away up this gulley - it is one of the things I love about caching.
After doing the log thing I went for a walk along the track overlooking the river - found some of the locals out playing in the trees - managed to get a piccie of one of them.

Found it on another hot day. We have just had a lovely lunch at the nearby Shaky Bridge Cafe.
As stated, it was an easy find and easy to get to. We used our bikes. The nearby walk to Broken Point (I think that is what it is called) looks nice. A local said it was worth the time.

An interesting place. Would love to have had more time to explore this area.
I'm sure there will be time for exploring when we move here in the not to distant future.

Great hiding spot. Left TB "Lest we forget" - wants to visit other war memorials/graveyards. TFTC.
