We scratched around for a bit but couldn't find it, hint didn't help. Not much activity at this cache so perhaps it's long gone? Will try again another day
Very cool walkway! Even though we didn't find it, we really appreciated checking out this little hidden spot
I suggest if your not up for disappointment don't try find it looks like it's been taken
Two of us searching but didn't find it. Will go back soon and have another look but notice that the last 3 logs are "didn't find" also so wondering if it's actually still there... Nice spot though.
Cool little spot for a cache, had a nosey but couldn't find anything today. Will try again another time.
out and about collecting a couple of lunchtime caches and its always good to get these ones tucked away. Must say I liked the sign taped to the fence near GZ

Cache container had been pilfered so dried out log book and returned to hiding place in new camouflaged container.

Walked down a bush covered path thats hard to see from the street and noticed a boardwalk fenced off [under maintenance or a proposed new walkway?]
Found without the hint but used it to re-hide slightly better
Many thanks

We were out and about in Devonport again today to pick up some remaining caches with KiwifruitsNZ that we have not yet collected.

This cache formed part of the KiwifruitNZ and Vamber "clean up Devonport of caches" mission.
After finding the hidden entry to the track, we soon found the cache - and a surprise package (not sure if the locals realise that hiding their "illegal recreational equipment" next to cache is not the smartest move!).
We have moved the cache about 3 metres to the left of the published corrdinates (because of the above). The hint is still valid as we were able to "recreate" the hiding place.

Swooped in a grabbed the TB and Pathtag placed by National Steel.

Beautiful hidden spot here, and an impressive collection of bongs! Took some photos, left a TB and pathtag. TFTC!
Me thinks this one may have migrated to the opposite side of the track. It isn't quite right for hint but easy enough for cachers and maybe more difficult for muggles. What a gem of a hidden snicket and a great spot for a sailor to live. I actually asked the neighbour who was doing some gardening if it was public access. First time I've used my AT Hop and first ferry to Bayswater. All fun. A fav point from me for the history and snicket. NINO TFTC
Took a bit of stumbling around to find the walkway. Never knew this was here! TFTC.
Have had this on the "to do" list for a long time, so nice to have a little time for a wander in this neighbourhood & see where Peter Blake lived. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news about his death.
But what a sailor's paradise! such a beautiful day & countless sailboats of all sizes cruising & racing all about the harbour & gulf. It was nice to find this shady cool pathway.
The cache contents though mostly ruined, were at least now dry. I used some flotsam I found nearby that had some sticky tape to cover the cache & hopefully keep it dryer in future. TFTC

Very secretive walkway, took longer that it should have to find the cache, but found it eventually. TFTC
An interesting little path leading down to the water with a great view. Easy find of the cache although as previously noted the container has a split in the lid making the contents wet.
Quick find but the cache is in quite bad shape, needs replacing as the lid of the jar is broken, tftc

very close to giving up on this, its quite a large spot with small cache and a lot of potential hiding spots. Glad i persevered.
A nice easy find. The original logbook has turned into mush and is no longer useable. I have put in a new log sheet and waterproof bag, so this cache should be o.k. for a while. TFTC.
I love it when caching takes you to historical places. The log book has slugs on it though Definitely needs maintenance!!!!
Great wee find - fab spot - great to see where sir peter was. Couldn't sign log as pencil broken and none on us. Thanks for picturesque cache!!
Out and about with the Future Finder this afternoon for a spot of caching. Well, you would never ever find a spot like this without a local geocacher taking the time and effort to share it! Quick find. Rescued the GC from the soggy cache. Thanks for the cache placement!
Have fond memories of Sir Peter Blake. Cache log soggy but there is a price of dry paper to sign. Fab views across the water. Tide out and with all the lights lit up reflecting this evening it was choice Thankyou. Left horseshoe TB for Good Luck. .
Nice secret spot. Cache lid is split, so hence the saturated log book. Bit of paper is getting quite wet too. Managed to sign. SL. TFTC.
Found it, but could not log due to the soaked logbook (see pic). GPSr was all over, but with hint no big problems. I had no spare parts. The (peanutbutter?) jar needs a new lid as well. This was my #900. A place you normally not go to. A bit littered, but the old boat shed is cool. Thanks
Took a while to find. Trees didn't help the GPS to stay on track. As with previous logs this one is stuffed from the rain. Cap has split in it and a few 'locals' had got inside. I was running late to go to a wedding so not in position to redo cache. Next person to read this should take a new container, pencil and note book to replace. I was up from Dunedin and in Auckland for the weekend so not in a postion to do this. Nice house next door. Read the clue and you should find it Ok.
Found it after a long while! Half the group had given up! We should probebly read the cryptic clue next time! Haha, We couldnt sign the log book, it was absoulutly SOAKING! Their was a crack in the lid so that doesnt help at all! Please fix it Oh, and i got some sore mosquito bites down there!!
Lovely veiw, contemplated jumping the fence, however was persuaded to stay on correct track! Scruffynz found this cache
Quick find. Lid of container is split which is why the log book and all contents are soaked. Needs replacing. TFTC and the great city views. Never been here before.

No luck for us here today. Hoping it was just us having a bad day and not the cache being a casualty of the wild weather.
Took a while to find the path(should have got out of the car earlier!) & then i overcomplicated things & took a while to find the cache-Dan had a great time tho' while I was searching-tftc
lovely walkway and the view at the end was great too. Mrs Barkingmadnz read the clue and grabbed it with ease, another mothers day find for the team, TFTC.
Easy cache! One of the trinket was left outside the box, a plastic spider, and it gave me a scare for a minute!
Beautiful view from here, guess I'm living in the wrong area. Cache is approximately 2 m from hint TNLNSL cheers
My very first cache find!! very exciting, took the fool's nuggets from the cache = =~ Left some toys!
Had a look of Auckland harbor, nice view!

Found after a short hunt and look at the hint - GPSr struggled a little under the tree cover (though my blackberry seemed to better than my mates Garmin at times here!)
Logbook is damp, and cache container has split in lid. Screwed a plastic bag in to try to help.
Strange little reserve - would never know it was there (and not private) if not for the cache - I note the ramp by the steps - is/was this for launching dinghies etc or something?
great little spot - TFTC

Small little walkway between properties. Most people would simply not even realise.... Lots of tree cover over this little plot of native NZ. TFTC
Driving by it looked more like 2 houses along, but walking past easy to spot. It should now be team pixie as my daughter found it first. TFTC
Interesting narrow reserve, agree next doors yard is quite impressive. Also took a while to find - not on my maps. - but worth the effort to find. Fairly untidy and slippery at cache site
The biggest challenge for me was trying to identify the entrance to the reserve. Quick find once I was in the right place. Thanks
A lovely little area. Quite a few places where it could have been hiding but no problem finding in the long run. That’s quite an impressive garden next door. TNLN SL1306
Cool little hide, obvious from clue once found, but was looking in a lot of other places first...TFTC

What a cool little reserve – another hidden spot you wouldn’t find if it wasn’t for caching. TFTC.
What a great little park - I bet most of the locals do not even know it exists hidden as it is from direct view from vehicles. Thanks for showing us this lovely spot. TNLN.

I have to say that this was one of my favourite locations for the day, amazing house next door with those wooden walkways. Liked it so much I came back the next day to take more photos with the good camera. Thanks for bringing us here.

Out with Glyn and BackPAQer today to see how many caches three guys can find powered only by Wild Bean Cafe coffee and ham rolls. The weather was wet but the spirits were high.
Cool house next door. We wondered which one was Peters.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Another interesting spot that I knew nothing about, a nice walkway to the beach cache was found quickly by ADV, TFTC TNLNSL (958)
This one took us a while to find! The house next door is quite impressive - but we liked the wee crabs under the boat shed best.
In: Fools gold
Out: Marbles
Thanks for bringing us here, would have never found it otherwise!

Would never have realised this was a walkway without the cache. Nice spot, and we loved the boardwalk through the garden of the house next door. Located the cache after trying a few different spots that fitted the hint. Thanks.

This spot would have to be one of Devonport's best kept secrets. Took a while to locate the cache. Thanks for bringing us here T4TC,
Out with team WELSH to help get them to 400 finds - and this was the one! Lovely spot. T4TC

Nice site with a bit of history, it was a bit confusing as to which was the public access, i think we took the private track down through someone's place on some really slippery board walks, got to the cache and spotted where we should have gone!! Dont take the path by the green gate!!! ( on the left of the concrete structure) go on the RHS!!!
TNLN TFTC!!!
