Out on another maintenance run with the CO. It was quite warm today but not as hot as the rest of the week has been. Muggles everywhere but all so absorbed in what they are doing that they don't even see us. After a short search I spotted what I was looking for.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and the fun day

Unlucky for me , a DNF. Found nothing but an old fishing hook and a cable tie, along with so half empty alcohol bottles.
You pwned us n00bs.
We will return.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

This had us a little puzzled for a while. The hint suggested possibilities but it still took some time to spot something that didn't quite fit in. TFTC
My lover was still playing with kids in playground. Had to remember all the the phrases but got there with Vanessa&Aodh and Mark&Kelly. Gross Mark!! Great hide but concerned about the hook inside. Mark soon disposed of it. TFTC.
We had arrived the night before with a file full of solved puzzles and the will to take out all the caches in Phillip Island. At a puzzle solving night before we came down, I was about to walk out the door when I heard them all groan and realise what this puzzle was on about. Nice one.
Mark found this one and I can't write what I want to say as Kelly is sitting beside me. I am being censored. I should not drink and log. Thanks Gonefishen07.

Found it! Another puzzle solved by the team pre-trip. Once we were finally on the island this was our second grab. A pleasant stroll hand in hand lead Mark & Kelly to the GZ where accompanied by part of Morcs4 and 1/2 of Vanessa & Aodh, we found a suspect object that wouldnt be much use in that location. Logs were signed and jokes about lovers and cache shapes were shared before we all ambled off into the evening...TFTC...
I think I found it during the Event this afternoon, but it looks as though it's been muggled. Photo has been sent to CO . If not allowed I'll delete this later when notified.
Good way to discover what's going on in your own back yard. This is one of my favourite swimming beaches on the Island and three new groins have gone in over winter! Need to check my coords again.
Last day to grab a few more caches on the island before we move on leaving many caches unfound and I don't like that as I may never be back but time will tell.
A cool day and even bought a hoodie to keep out the chilly wind and wandered down to have a hunt for this guy.
Don't you hate it when you press submit and your log goes to heaven.
Now what did I say, well first of all I was not looking low enough for this guy but eventually found it and signed the slightly damp log but it is sign-able at this stage.
Thanks again Gonefishen07 for looking after this series.

Day three of our R&R. After a family bike ride I ventured out on my own to grab a few caches. It took a while and I found the hint no help, however, persistence pays off. TFTC.
With the great weather, we decided to drive to Phillip Island for a day of caching.
We were not disappointed as there was a good variety of cache hides and containers.
which kept us busy all day. We also had the pleasure of meeting 2 other teams on our travels.
Thanks to all the owners, for the effort that you put into the construction and the hides.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hell+back, for us and others to find.

Find #4408
After a reasonable nights sleep at the Big 4 Caravan park, it was time for an early start on an anti clockwise loop of Phillip Island. The weather was looking simply Awesome, so off I went in high spirits ready for a big day caching.
So far so good, a pretty quick find, nice container. Cache in good condition.
Thanks to Hell+Back for placing this cache. TNLN

Solved the problem before arriving. A nice find on my afternoon holiday walk. SL TFTC
We solved this puzzle last night knowing we planned to head into Cowes for a pre-wedding breakfast this morning. The solving was a team effort; we got stuck on the dogs and magic number a little but eventually got there. After a delicious meal and coffee, we walked along the foreshore to this cache enjoying the morning amble. We came upon a likely gz, looked high before I spotted something particularly odd which was well within my reach. TFTC hell+back, what an unusual choice of container!?!?!
Although we had most of the Not Drowning series puzzles sorted we only managed to get ourselves to 9 of them today so we're keeping plenty back for next time. As we're driving anti-clockwise this was our first of the day. The hardest bit may have been getting our campervan parked close enough for the short stroll to GZ where after a quick search the clever hide was spotted. Nice one. TFTC hell+back & for the puzzle.
Foundit! We took the hint the wrong way but with a bit of a look we found quickly. TFTC
After having another long search at the same coords as our last visit we decided to rework the puzzle so returned to the car. After a few minutes we came up with a slightly different solution and set off once more. This time the coords were accurate and the cache was quickly found. That's 4 previous DNF's found today. Just a few more puzzles to solve and hopefully we'll be playing sudoku.
Another day of caching on the Island with the family....another day of changeable weather. Great excuse to be out and about. The poor weather saw few lovers out walking - and not many of anyone else either! We spent a bit of time hunting around for this but it was pretty obvious when we saw it! TFTC
Found this with the familiy. Mum and Dad worked out the puzzles then we all went to find them together. Thanks for this series - it's been great fun!
Sunny winter day. Found start. Sorted out half coordinates. Clue helped. All family searching. Almost gave up hope ,, diamond pearl found it. Intact slightly wet. Sealed it after scribing.
Thanks for the hunt. Will endeavour to find more on the island.

Woke up to a dull & dismal wintry Wednesday; just the sort of day for geo-caching on & around the Island beaches. We decided to start on the northern beaches today and work anti-clockwise around the coast, hopefully finishing up at Shelly Beach.
Hope this one isn't going to set the standard for the day. After a somewhat lengthy search we decided to move on and return another day after checking our solution.

We arrived in Phillip Island after a long drive, we checked into our accommodation and decided to get a couple of caches before retiring for the night. Lover's Walk was the first on our list so off we trot to find us our first cache of the day
Was good to stretch the legs a little and at GZ we didn't come up with the find straight away, we walked around and around and around [I]
Time to check the hint....OH...DOH there it was! Nice spot for lovers i guess sitting there watching the water and sunsets. Thanks for the fun 'hell+back'

Found with Liz & Bruce on a perfect day for caching on Phillip Island. I was very lucky to be able to tag along with this team today, well ok maybe I chauffeured them around soon as how I knew the roads a little better. We had a fun filled day and it was great to be able to show Liz & Bruce around the island, which was made easier by Hell + Back hiding caches in some great places. A variety of hides some very hard to get at some not so. A great day all round [^] Thanks to hell+back
We just could not leave this area without revisiting Phillip Island in an endeavour to finish off the Not Drowning series and to collect some other caches in the area that have been on our list for a long time. Again we were lucky to have a perfect day to go exploring this most scenic island and with what better company than Gonefishen07 and Zobo04 (after school hours). Loved finding this cache. Thanks to hell+back.
After a great lunch in Cowes, I headed off to cache for a bit around Cowes. This was the first find for the afternoon. I ended up walking hallway back to San Remo before being picked up.
At Gz I wandered around for quite a while before finally spotting the cache. Nice piece of camo.

Very windy and slightly wet, but we are here with a purpose, so we ventured out to experience the magnificence and grandeur of the elements. We took a few strokes in this series about three years ago, but failed to complete a lap here!
Today with the foam blowing over us we were able to keep our heads above water and log a find.

We took the lovers walk today, which was sparkling in the sunshine, with the crash of the waves on the beach. The cache was quickly spotted after waiting for the muggles to pass. Thanks for bringing us to this delightful spot.
We made an early start to caching this morning hoping to track down the remaining "Not Drowning" caches. This cache took quite some time to track down. We loked from many different angles before this cleverly hidden cache was located. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC hell+back.
Fun puzzle.
This was the second effort with this one as last time I couldn't even search because there were two 'lover muggles' right where I wanted to look.
Today, with the rain, I was all alone and I found it after a little search.
The cover was on the ground so I replaced it to where it should have been and propped it up with a stick as best I could.
It will need some TLC very quickly.\TFTC hell+back

A few weeks solid work saw us work out a number of these caches. Sharp eyed Mr G saw this one first in todays sunshine as Mrs G searched nearby. Enjoying the challenges hell+back

Team Mornington, Hazey1, Biger12, MrMcGee and Saulman1010. Having solved this awhile ago, time to actually go collect some on our way out and about. Quick and easy find, nice location, visited here a few times while living on the island.TFTC
Team Mornington, Hazey1, Biger12, MrMcGee and myself on an April Fools day caching run on the island again today.
Grabbed a few and finished off others.
Nice day, for a few caches, looking for one of the new "TINY" caches
Much work done in past to solve most of this series, now is the time to start picking them up.
Really enjoying this series.

Returned this morning with fresh eyes and were pleased to find the cache and sign the log on another enjoyable puzzle and stunning location. Thanks so much for such stimulating mystery caches. What will I do now that these puzzles are solved? Back to school study soon. I've enjoyed the distraction between study blocks. Thanks for the cache hell+back
Disappointed that we weren't able to find this. It was getting late and we were getting tired. Hopefully we will get back to try again tomorrow. Thanks hell+back
Suscoe continued their evening run.
This cache took a little while but eventually we re oriented and found it however it was in parts.
Signed and popped back together.
Thanks to hell+back for another good puzzle and challenge.

Having gathered the numbers via the net while on a scientific expedition, I was keen to get out and about. Unfortunately this cache eluded me today.
cache needs replacing as it has a crack right down the side of it. But log and clue are fine.
Love the walk down lover lane cache was found on the ground so signed log collected the clue, replaced cache where it should be but cache needs replacing as it has a crack right down the side of it.Thanks Hell & Back for another cache.
Tagged along with the Bounty Trackers, signed log. Thanks Hell & Back for the cache
This took a bit of searching, (and puzzling). Great hide. My gps was a fair bit off the mark but I finally found the well hidden cache. Unfortunately did not have a pen on me to sign the log. TFTC

An easy puzzle not too far from our temporary house on our last day on the Island. Hopefully we will have solved the rest of the series by the time we come back . TFTC. Only two muggles on an almost deserted beach.
Wow What a cache this one was.... Mrs Madstars enjoyed working it out and we all enjoyed the walk to the cache but my oh my...where the hell is it.
We read the hint and even got more confused.....
Then after about fifteen minutes we heard Little Miss Madstars (6 years old) scream out 'found it'....
What would we have done without her. This week she has found quite a few caches. She is getting better and better at finding them. I am so proud....lol
Thank you hell+back for the adventure once again.
Awesome cache.

The last time we looked for this cache, which was several years and many cache hunts ago, it eluded us. This time I found it in seconds. It's surprising how much a bit of experience helps. TFTC Also I really like your clues. After doing the puzzle solving it's great to be able to find the caches without too much fuss.
On a previous "Not Drowning, Caching" weekend we failed miserably. There were 6 pairs of eyes used and quite some spent in the hunt. Light was fading and a nearby resident was watching us with his binoculars so we eventually gave up. Today we made a very quick find in the company of geocaching friends, SkiPair. AND they did not give us any hints. All we can say is the old hide was much, much harder! Well, that's what we are claiming anyway. Thanks hell+back for another fun cache in this series.
This one gave us quite a challenge, especially as the GPS kept pointing us to private property. I am glad to report there is no need to go anywhere near private property to log a find.
The bonus for us is that a caching buddy has posted a DNF against this one.
I spent many holidays staying in an old shack very close to GZ as a young child. 50 years plus has sure seen some changes.
Our 6th find today in the series after solving the puzzles while in a cold Tasmania last year.
TFTC and loved the hide.

# 644. Another nice walk, behind another calm and peaceful beach. Spotted the cache immediately but left if there until after we had our lunch and admired the views. Thanks for pointing out another lovely spot on the island. TNLN, Thanks H+B.
#2852 We wanted to give this series a very good nudge to completion this weekend however obligatory stops at the Chocolate factory, Adventure Maze & the Penguin Parade lessened our caching time/opportunity. We enjoyed our stroll down the path toward GZ that wasnmade even better by the brilliant sunny day. The GeoPrincess was in full on kid mode having a grand time. We really liked the hide and overlooked it initially. Also thought the puzzle to be fun to solve, it brought back memories. Our thanks to Hell+Back for the puzzle and series -had to run back to GZ again to make sure we didn't miss something however no clue found (hope it doesn't thwart our efforts towards the final) [^]
After a full school term with exam after exam, I didn't get to do much caching. This was all going to change however when I started to plan an assault on Philip Island. I started to think of which town would be best to assault to raise me from the dead after my abysmal effort in the earlier months. With 3 different series, a power trail, and a handful of other caches, Philip Island was the place to go. So I started solving the puzzles and making a few phone calls so I would have the best chance of finding a heap. I solved most of the puzzles, however some of them required a bit of a nudge or someone else to realise my error. I started to think about my route in a way that would get me the most finds possible. We ended up with 55 in one day, and 87 for the whole weekend which was a fantastic effort . The weather was very on and off for the whole weekend which made some journeys quite unpleasant, however on the whole it was awesome. The Nobbies was a definite highlight for me. We started off the day with the 'Pathway' and managed to complete it and all of the other caches along the trail in just over 4 hours. What an awesome weekend! Thank you to all of the owners who contributed, but especially hell+back and The Three Geo Amigos (you know who you are)!

This was the last cache for the night after a huge day of caching with a total of 55 finds! We were getting a bit tired but we held in there for one last find (as all geocachers should). As we walked along the beach with torches in hand, there were a few muggles that were smoking and drinking. Luckily for us, they were in good spirits so they weren't too much of a problem. Apparently they thought we were the cops, and they also thought that 'Queen' (the band) was like a god. Anyway, after a good 5mins at GZ dad uncovered the clever hide. Thanks for a nice cache hell+back, a bit scary at night but that's all part of the fun

10/06/12 6:03 PM Find #1051 Its cache skirmish for ABL973 and Square_Pegs today on Phillip Island and this was one that we found in the rain. Thanks hell+back.
Caching with abl973 late in the afternoon, this was a picturesque location. There were a few muggles ahead of us as we wandered along the path, but the coast was clear when we arrived. It was a fantastic hide, which took a little bit of looking before spotting. It blends in very well. I didn't spot a clue in the container, so hopefully it hasn't been dropped inadvertently. Thanks for the cache.
Another legendary night caching run by TDC (The Demolition Crew) + 1. A sensational 78 find run to Phillip Island and back with the usual TDC members - myself, TrailRunning and Quasar3671 and one other, the legendary "Roostaman" from Wagga. The trip started in the Dandenong area, and progressed around Westernport and all the way to the other end of Phillip Island. There were several foci for the night, those being the powertrails up the middle of the island, as well as the Drowning, Not Caching puzzle series. We didn't get all the puzzle series done, but we did smash the powertrail. A sensational night, great company, chicken rolls, and an impromptu stop at an abandoned lounge suite on the side of the road, which made for a great "chicken roll" break.
A nice chilly walk, and a different hide indeed. Have seen one other of these used before in Melbourne. TFTC.

Well it was another Monday night, and it was time for the Demolition Crew to get out and grab some caches. This time the Roostaman joined us for a night fun in the area of Phillip Island. As Quasar3671 had already done many on the Island, he joined Blacklegend and I in the wee hours of the morning to collect those caches he had not yet done. All in all it was a fun night with cheerful banter, chicken rolls and the odd refreshment. While we were not able to clear out the whole island, we grabbed as many as we could, with only 2 DNF in 80 caches. The run started in Dandenong, with a few caches for Blacklegend, but we soon found an area where all of us were happy to collect the smilies. A nice walk down the beach to an unusual hide!

While working in Mauritania I have had plenty of time to solve these puzzles, together with some help from Sedgewickdave I think I am onto most of them. Very clever hide this one, and the clue helped.
We found this cache as a part of a non-stop 24 hour caching run with Marcus Vitruvius.
We logged 207 caches in the 24hr period, and this was one of them.
This was one of the many "Not Drowning, Caching" puzzles we were able to solve and log whilst on the island tonight.
We wont forget this cache in a hurry after being confronted by a couple of drunk lads looking for directions and wanting us to take them there. And to add to this we also had the a lovely lady/man approach us aswell. Was it a full moon, some interesting people out tonight?!
Many thanks hell+back for a great series of puzzles and caches - quite enjoyable. TNLN SL. Cheers.

This was another find today as part of a 24hr caching run that yielded 207 cache finds with Haveanez. This one turned out to be one of the more interesting caches of the run, but not for the cache itself, but for who we met soon afterwards. After the cache was found, we headed back to the car where we were confronted by two blokes looking for directions. While we were using our GPS's to find the street they were after, another person came walking past...who we all thought was a woman by the way he/she was dressed, and after one of the blokes looked interested in he/she and said hello, we got a resounding 'hello' in the deepest female voice you have ever heard. Obviously it turned out to be a bloke as well, but the reaction from the two blokes we were talking to was quite funny. We had a good laugh that kept us going throughout the night.

Took the 2 teams a while to locate the cache but they came up trumps in the end! TFTC
After an semi- extensive search we located the well camo-ed cache. We were getting ready to go home but now there is no need to come back.
I was on the island today and was going to finish what I started on the Monday - an island caching run. There were some guys woking on the house near GZ but the trees around GZ gave me sufficient cover so I could search for the cache without being watched. Cache found and a nice hide as well. TFTC.
Found on another caching jaunt with my best mate Slink1 and in company with the Bright Beavers TFTC SL
Have been sitting on these for a while and before many more changes I had a day out caching with Bright Beaver #1 and Dunko thanks for the tricky hide and puzzle. SL
4 in a row. What am I doing wrong? This one was too clever and sneaky and evil for us today, so after a while of looking around we gave up to see if we could find some others before the daylight ran out.
Six pairs of eyes went looking for this one and although we spent about twenty minutes in the relative early morning quiet we could not make a disciovery. Either it has beaten us or is not there! Thanks hell+back for the pleasant walk and the puzzle. We will be back!
