Won't be back on the island to check this for a couple of weeks, so better archive as it is obviously missing.

Had a good search at what the gps told us was ground zero but all to no avail. Maybe time for the white canes!!

Cool CACHE!!!!! I Like how you hid it in the rocks.[^] Big Grin

The overnight storm had eased and rest of our gang were off visiting wineries or coffeee shops so instead of such mundane activities I opted to check out a few Waiheke caches this morning.

The tide was well out so I tackled the very ragged rocks and reached GZ without major incident. I immediately spotted what I thought was a likely looking hide but it appeared empty. I then tried some less easy and ultimately quite hair raising adjacent spots . After 20 minutes I was out of luck and even almost impossibly inaccessible hiding places.
I had convinced myself the cache had been muggled or been washed or blown away in in the previousl days storm and turned sadly to leave. I thought " I will just try another look back where I started" ........... and yeah! You know the story? There it was all along!
TFTC Nice bay even if the locals are not the most welcoming.

Took a wee while to find, but found it in the end. Managed to time the tides right. TFTC!

Lots of fun trying to get to this one as i didn't have the info.
Was walking up around the roads looking for a path or road entrance and came across another English couple trying to find the beach as well.
So went off to get Pine tree cache then back to Palm Beach and around the cliff to an easy find Big Grin
Had a chat with the couple on the beach which seems a great spot to get away from the hustle on Palm

Great beach Big Grin

Done with Waiheke Cache Raiders. Apart from co-ords being slightly out, easy find. Nil in or out. Cheers.

Got together with a few friends, Coldstream, psychrn, KiwiGary and Zork V for a raid on the Waiheke Island caches (it's definitely not about numbers).Big Grin

We had decided to do this one early due to the state of the tide, being 2.5 hours on the way in.

Found the coords to be about 50m out. KiwiGary has the new coords.

Cheers for the cache.

11:03 Co-ords were fifty metres out but a great spot after some rock hopping. The co-ords point to a house at the top of the cliff. We got S36 46.692 E174 02.794. Can these be changed by the owner?

TNLN. Thanks for cache.

A bit tricky negotiating the rocks for sure

There were people working in this area. I stood out and they kept watching. I never got close enough to do a find.

17-Nov-08
High tide plus a 3-4 metre swell means this one will have to wait for another day.

I can only congratulate KiwiLeon, who found this despite wrong coordinates given in description. I used those provided by him, but couldn't find anything in 30 minutes. The title coordinates point to a private yard and should be corrected. The owner can do this by writing an "update coordinates" log.

Yah, still FTF. I was on Waiheke for a quick business trip, so I did a few caches around Ostend.
The coordinates where a bit off for me. I had S36 46.698 E175 02.793. So it was a bit off a lucky find. Nice climb over the rocks. A nice beach though, I didn't had much time to stay, had to catch the ferry back.
Thanks for bringing me here guys.
