Did not look for long, very windy and rain coming, decided Wedderburn was still some way off so better move it. Maybe another look some other time.
Biking the rail trail with Otago Tramping and Mountaineering Club. PC Sniff had previously logged this and was sure it was at the base of a power pole. However neither of us could any poles, posts or the cache today.
Had to kill a bit of time "taking photos" while we waited for another family to leave before finding this one. Another lovely day on the trail.
Found during a family trip to complete the Otago Rail Trail. We enjoyed all the excuses to get off the bikes and explore all the nooks and crannies on the way. A very beautiful area, particularly with the autumn colours on display.
Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches we found along the way.

Found on our last day while taking on the Otago Rail Trail with the Green Team. Assistance by the caching partners, GPYesss, Brontysaurus, MrPills and Jacko. TFTC.
One of the last Station stamps for our passport. Very picturesque spot, as the terrain gives way to richer farmland. Thanks Kev the Orienteer.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!!Last find on the last day on the Rail Trail before Middlemarch on what has been a great four day adventure. Words cannot discribe how we feel. Thanks for your contribution by adding caches to give the experience an extra touch. Well done!
Cycled out on a nice sunny day.
Gave the logbook a dry in the sun, removed a couple of items that had absorbed some water.
Replaced the plastic bag and reset the cache.
All good to go again.

Found, shook out the water and dried up as much as we could. With Dracophyllum. TFTC.
A trip down a dusty road to pick this one up while in the area.
Must get around to doing the trail on a bike soon.

Lots of cows out grazing on the side of the road, meant a quick dash behind the safety of the fence around the station. Found with debsnz
#32 and last on my rail trail cycle. due to inclement weather and timing, i couldn't end with something in Middlemarch - oh well have to come back to do the ones i missed
It has been fun fun fun... all 99 of my cache conquests. How nice to reach the ton in such wonderful surrounds. Thanks all you guys who have made it possible.
With Gaines'em on the last day of the Trail. GCaching certainly adds a little more excitement and sense of achievement to what is already an amazing few days.
Rail Trail 3rd Day. Now back home, so its time for the logging. Puschelige Grüße vom Team Puschel!
Stopped the car here on the way to start a bike ride. Met a couple in their early 80s and daughter stamping their passsports on their fifth day on the trail. They were from Huntington (in the middle of the North Island) and were really enjoying it, commenting on the friendliness and superb service from everyone they had met and stayed with. We showed them why we had stopped at Ngapuna- so now they have another story to tell about the rail trail, people who hunt for little plastic boxes!
One of my last of the Rail Trail. The nearby cattle were quite interested in what I was doing stopped here, and watched me intently whilst I signed the log.
Thanks for the cache, kev the orienteer

Found with Edvern. Thanks Edvern! Riding the trail on a trip from Australia after mountain bike orienteering in the Alexandra-Wanaka area.
Found while riding the rail trail - nearly at the finish! Thanks for providing these reasons for stopping along the way - always a bonus.
First cache on day 3 of our 3 day bike tour on the Otago Rail Trail. Today the weather was fine again. Thnaks for making it such a varied trip with all the caches.
We drove to this, but had biked past before, more than ten years ago.
+ a marble, - nothing.

The first find on our Rail Trail trip. There is a heap of machinery here in the process of maintaining the track.
Cheers and thanks,

That was very cool. The nearby pole was humming from the electricity Cheers Gav [6611]
First stop on the rail trail. Thats the first big straight done, now for more interesting country.
Visited Central Otago to take part in NZ Orienteering Champs, ride the Rail Trail and enjoy this beautiful area including many sites around Queenstown. We (Roel, Di and Nigel) enjoyed the trip with beautiful weather (some morning frosts!) This was our 20th cache on the trail. A nice break on the long home straight and an easy find. Thanks a lot.

Nice easy find, was fighting the head-winds, so glad of a break. TNLN Thanks for the cache !
Found while riding the rail trail, beautiful hot weather and a nice spot to stop off to collect this one.
Found while on holiday on 19 Jan. Chatty muggles - but we just waited till they left. Good straightforward hide which is just what we needed today. TNLN. TFTC.
Got there the honest way this time. I remember traveling this line on the rail-car back in the 1960s.
It was interesting to read of the name change and the reason it was called Spings in the first place. Glad I wasn't on a bike today as the wind was very strong.
Thanks

Quick find at a much needed break on the trail. Then back to the cold wind. TFTH and the rest.
Easy find. GPS lead me straight to it. Rode past here on my bike a fortnight ago but didn't have my GSPr with me at the time. TFTC
Support crew on the job again! Nice easy find - team almost at the end now! TFTC
