Found It!A nice little walk and then after a bit of searching I eventually found the cache. The hint is spot on.TFTC
Took a bit longer than anticipated but managed to find it in the end!Had lunch this arvo at the nearby golf club, and thought Id go for this on the way out given its one of the few traditional I still have remaining in Yarralumla.Terrific camo!Ive been fortunate enough to play one round of golf here in my lifejust happened to be a pro am ahead of an international ladies tournament. Our pro? Laura Davies, can you believe. And she had a caddy of course, who was excellent craic like she was.Mad Liverpool supporter she is. And her presence in our group meant we had a gallery following us around. Such a cool experience. Thanks for the cache!
Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache Fore!

We have arrived in ACT for the GEOBASH 2024, and are doing a mixture of sightseeing, caching and refreshing memories. We found this cache and signed the log. Tftc Fore!
We arrived in Canberra for the MEGA and pick up some more caches .Found the cache with TBU1BIKESU. Tftc Fore!
Very nicely camouflaged and on a lovely, serene bush trail with only the bird song and odd thud of a golf ball, or grunt of an overweight middle-aged or retired golfer, to break the silence. The places caching takes you!All good with the container and log. Pretty sure I signed the date as 10/11 (its 11/11) oops. We started our sweep from a landmark (or at least a distinctive feature amongst the green surroundings) and then headed one direction for a while. Having no luck on that bearing, we returned to the landmark and headed the opposite direction. In doing so we found the hide in around 30 seconds. Cheers Fore! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
This was quite a challenge - my GPS was going haywire and pointing me in a direction that had nothing to do with the clue. Had to do a lot of scanning over quite a wide area, which was ultimately successful. The cache container is very well camouflaged, particularly in the fading light of the evening.

What a beautiful location. The log needs to be replaced as all the rain has made it a soggy. TFTC
Had a good search making a few seperate sweeps back and forth before moving on. Couldn’t find it today
Difficult. Ok condition. A bit damp as someone had left container ajar with golf ball which we removed.
wow this one was super tricky - the foliage made it super hard to find and there were tons of mosquitos. great hiding spot and nice secret path but come in the winter!
After finding another geocache nearby I took the path and ended up near this one. Took a while to find as there is foliage everywhere and GPS reception is tricky under the dense canopy. But after two sweeps the cache was located and signed. I spotted roos inside the golf course too, not sure how they got there with the tall fence? TFTC Fore!
GPS was a bit random once under the cover of foliage. However with the clue continued to search and soon spotted the cache. Settled in amongst the vines to complete the log whilst some golfers moved along in the distance. It’s nice to find a maintained cache with a fresh log book ready to go. Being the first to sign is like a little mini FTF. Thanks Fore! and allrounder for placing and maintaining this cache.
Fore!’s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: rubbish removed from cache, log replaced, cache closed properly & unnecessary “camo” removed...phew!
After picking up a nearby AL bonus I popped over for a pleasant short walk to this cache past the old brickworks. Cache found without issue and didn’t see any spiders! Thanks Fore!
Fore!'s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: thanks for the heads up, I will replace the log ASAP...
At last - spotted. Looking for the wrong size to start with- trying to make it harder! Lovely little secret path. Tftc
I'm with you Fore!! Golf is a great way to take your mind off things... except how much you want to give up golf while you're playing!! I made a panicked find as a group tee'd off the 19th, always an easy bogey for me ️ TFTC!
Well that was epic! Out on my own for the first time in months, and I spotted this nearby cache. Why not!? I thought. I approached from the brickworks. A truly beautiful little walk (see photo attached) and soon found the secret passageway required. At GZ I started a stupidly deep search in every direction (whilst trying to stay inconspicuous to passing golfers) getting more and more convinced that this thing was going to beat me today. About to give up, i decided to wander a little further and check out a couple of more obvious pieces of camo. Bingo. Why didn’t I start with that! In the end I needed a TOTT to help me open a very tight lid, as post shoulder op, I just didn’t have the strength. Almost phoned in a photo log but i got there. Cache signed. And replaced. And this now very dirty cacher is heading back to the car. TFTC
As spineyhawks & _Weels_ have found this one today, I'm clearing the Needs Maintenance to save my geocaching secretary a visit...
Fore!'s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: this cache can be a hard one to find...I'll check next time I'm in the area...
After picking up the Logging Whim cache, we decided to walk up the the next couple, not realising that it was as hot as it was. Still it was a nice walk, and we found the right pathway, and the hound got to smell lots and lots of different smells, which made his day.
We quickly zeroed in on the gz, and then, nothing! it took a bit, and i checked a couple of suspicious objects before finding the cache well camouflaged and hidden from view - especially considering it's size. We quickly signed the log, and headed on up the hill to the Brickworks cache.

Visiting the family for Christmas and took the opportunity to take a stroll while the muggles were napping after a day of feasting.

Out and about on a glorious Sunday, perfect for a bike ride down to the Yacht club for lunch... so this cache was targeted, not only for a find, but for a tb drop off too. And I do love the GC code for this cache. After a circumnavigate of the Brickworks, a suitable entry point was found, and we rode the bikes to just shy of GZ, where an easy find presented itself. Our timing was impeccable, inbetween golfers strolling with their buggies. Log dated and stamped, TB dropped off. Sitting at the Yacht club, with a glass of wine, writing up my log... such a great view... and what a beautiful day. Fore!get Caching!? Not a chance... gets me out and about. TFTC Fore!
Pretty easy find after a short look. We had to use a little bit of stealth however as there were quite a few people golfing! The walk to the cache has great views of the old brickworks! TFTC
A beautiful grey dogger did a bork at me but I managed to push ahead and found the cache! Also a golf ball. TFTC!
Was in the area thought I stop by to do this cache today before it get tooo hot hot.. found and log and place back where it belong TFTC Fore!
Found with Kittykatch escaping work at lunch. Quick find and beautiful day to be outsiders TFTC
Was walking right past this (doing that B€%*€¥ long Tankengine Multi so I figured I would stop and check this (and let the TBs I have with me visit)... All looks good, I looked at the swag and I think there are still 2 things I probably put in there when I found it before - lol ... and this time I didn't have to worry if the mozzies were going to carry me away, because totally unlike last time I was here - this time there were none ...
Drive around to Stromlo to find few caches... Lucky no rain today.... hide well.. thanks
Great walk from the side street and good co ords made for a quick find .
Many thanks to fore !
Many thanks to fore !
I went for a short walk with my 5 year old and made the find. It's very nice through here. The golf course looks great, though I hate to think what the green fees would be. Thanks for the cache.
Golf course looks very beautiful from this angle. Parked very close by and had a lovely walk through a really pretty little wooded area. Got to the fence line and found the cache while my iPhone was still saying another 12m to go. I really should bring my Garmin along but this was a small 'on the way to work' caching run. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache
Quick find easily spotted. And I scored a new golf ball a few meters away. Cache is in good condition. Tftc
Third cache on our afternoon Geocache Walk - should have brought our clubs and had a round of golf. Left a lucky Chinese Year of the Rat heart token. Thanks Fore! for another interesting cache location. 2BluFish
Was out and about picking up a mystery cache nearby. Easy parking near this one and a lovely walk past the old brick works which are amazing!! Aquilus1 and I discussed all the options of what could be done with this great part of history rather than just gating it up. Anyway the cache was easy to find and in good order. Tftc!!!
I have always liked the photos of the old brick works but was excited to see the big stack for the first time as we parked nearby. Such great buildings, but a real shame to see them looking so abandoned and in poor shape. Still, glad this cache brought me here to see them, the little path took us straight there and even in the late evenings poor light was a quick find. Thanks for the cache Fore!
Tftc. How did I miss that in my search. No muggles around to hear my curses about caches and mozzies, just Mrs Jaybeem on the other end of the phone. Broadened my search and there it was.
We were so close but yet so far, approaching from the last cache we had done. Thankfully, we didn't pursue the straight line option and we were able to emerge relatively close by and mostly unscathed by the wilds around here . Found the entrance to this patch of jungle and soon after spotted the cache. Thanks Fore!
I had a bit of spare time before the start of dancing practice; time enough for this one cache. It was an easy find as it was lying uncovered within a few metres of where the GPS was directing me. I covered it as it is clear that many people pass this way. Thanks Fore! for the cache.
Awesome little walk to the cache. The nearby fence surrounding the brickworks is very intimidating, Thanks for the cache.
A very interesting find before the nearby event. We talked about the old brickworks as the track led straight past them. That is a mighty big fence they certainly don't want people trying to go in!
A short stroll through the thick "bush" which had a nice path that led to the geocache.
Thanks Fore! a great cache in a very interesting location

This is my 999th find. I wanted to get to that number as I have a special one planned for the 1000th.
A quick stop off after work. Luckily no-one was around, because while it is theoretically possible I wouldn't have looked really dodgy at GZ in a leather motorcycle jacket and office clothes, I suspect I looked really dodgy.
Easily found after a short search. TFTC

#1222. An improvised search after a nearby dinner gathering. A new cache was published and I received a ping - had to explain the game to the party. Checked for nearby caches and a torchlight came out for the walk as I walked away with a friend. Pitch dark and heaps of bugs and a faintly flickering torchlight.... Not the best combination, but I made it. Not sure we have a new recruit, but who knows? Thanks for the cache!
I was nearby - heading over to collect a friend from work in Deakin, and had (because I planned it that way a spare half an hour or so to find a daily cache ... figured it was time I ducked in here and got this one
TFTC - managed to find it without quite getting carried away by the thousands upon thousands of mosquitos!

I had spent the evening meandering around the Inner South after Basil's multi - got to GZ but couldn't find the little sucker. Gave up, but still needed my daily. I've been eyeing this one for a while and tonight became the perfect opportunity. It's a fun little walk at night. At GZ, the hint helped. Cache is safe and happy. No chance of hearing "fore" at this time of night. TFTC Fore!
TikvaNZ and I decided to grab a few caches around Yarralumla this afternoon - multis being the focus. We found six caches together before we went our separate ways. We only got rained on a little and enjoyed the walks and exercise!
Third cache for the afternoon - an easy find once we realised what size we were looking for, but we still needed a little backtrack to find it. I remember going to visit the old brickworks when there were antique shops in the kilns. A very long time ago! Photo attached of an awesome chimney nearby.
Thanks Fore! the cache!

AngelG27 and I met up at the Yarralumla shops for some afternoon caching focusing on multis. After a couple of multis we just had to find this one. At GZ we went back and forth a bit before spotting the very well disguised cache. TFTC.

Decided to stop by Dunrossil Drive this afternoon and take a look at how the area is shaping up after the removal of the old pines. Afterwards, I took a walk past the old brickwork to hunt for this cache. Despite living in Canberra for many years, I've never been to the brick works before - a very cool place indeed. One can only hope that the inevitable development around this area is sympathetic to the history of the site and retains some of the original fabric. TFTC, Fore!
