Alrighty... I think I've outdone myself as far as this Archived... Schmarchived tour is concerned. After confirming that a couple of homerjay classic rocks had indeed been cleared out, I thought I'd check this one, and was surprised to come up trumps on a qualifying Unloved. Woo-hoo!
The container is in lousy nick, so I'm removing this one and will redistribute the surviving toys throughout other finds.
Thanks for another bit of unexpected fun, homerjay.

Rather wet inside the cache due to a broken lid. We dried it out as much as we could but it really needs a new container. TNLN

quick find. nice wetlands around this park. cache was half full of water and the lip of the lid is cracked on one side - needs repair. the log is also wet. tftc.
Found at 18:40hrs took "Aussie Track-a-Bear" PCQN1Q which hasn't been recorded as being in this cache.
Headed out for a night of caching, to clean up a few in the area. Parked in the carpark and headed out to GZ using the torch to shine the way. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC.

Found running difficult today, so a walk-run to the hide. Nice views of waterways with actual water in them! Thanks.
took me ages to find this one. Completely ignored the area where the cache was hidden. All good in the end. Thanks for the cache.
11th for the night. Cold, wet and dark. Went for the walk from Toby's 1st to this one. Will have to get back to the area next week and clean up some more.
12.00 Out and about with 80 degrees this morning. It is very cold and windy and if wasn't for the warm company we would not be here. This is our first time in this area and we like it. Wonder if we come back in 20 years if this will all be built up, hope not
Thanks for bringing us here. TNLN

Another nice cache by the HJ73.
Great park. Can definitely see more caches in here.
Just a note, the container is a bit busted.
The inside is still dry though.
Cheers and happy caching.

Located by Rubus Pickers and cousins at 4.15pm on 9/4/2010 after a pleasant walk with the kangaroos having an inquisitive look. Left a smiley face and took a spring. TFTC Homerjay73.
This certainly is a big park! I've found caches in several different parts of it now. This afternoon I only had kangaroos for company. I'd like to have a longer walk around here sometime. Thanks homerjay73.

7/2/10 @ 6:15pm with The Lone Random
Decided the area we were caching in wasn't very fruitful so we moved onto somewhere nearby we knew we had only dipped our toes into last time. I was heading for my 600th find and didn't want to be stranded on 598 or something silly like that! Easy find, thanks.

After a short crawl through the fence hole, a find was made. The Chef crawls well too
Out for a Saturday morning of hunting. Packed up the bikes with plans of getting around to all the caches in this park. Alas, the best laid plans were thwarted. Nicely concealled cache, almost missed it. TNLN T4TC Lovely view of the parklands from up here

A nice easy find in what I'm sure will be a well explored park by the time I'm finished with all of the caches in here.
Took nothing, left nothing.

A very big park surrounded by a very long fence with very few breaks. I was lucky enough to spot a hole in the fence to get to the cache. Making my way to my next hunt nearby revealed a gate 100m down the hill. Given the kms of fence I passed I don't regret the decision to crawl through the hole.
Found @ 2030.
Found with ggkof whilst out caching on our usual Tuesday night adventure. I had a look for this last December with no luck, this time found it within a few minutes. I dunno how I missed it the first time. TNLN.

starting to understand the leadscout hidey holes...nice find. snuck thru the back fence.
We had a bit of trouble getting to the car park as workers were excavating nearby and had the entrance blocked unless you had a 4x4. We were going to leave this one for another day but on our way out Joleen spotted another way in, it was not crutch friendly so she headed off and grabbed the cache while we kept a look out for Lead Scout.
Thanks homerjay73, this is a BIG park.
Thanks homerjay73, this is a BIG park.
Following on from the previous cache, we scrambled up here to find another cache. Easy find and so we logged it and left. No one around on the coldish morning, except maybe Lead Scout. Cheers.
Find # 2770 and 9th of the day at 11:12 am. Accompanied by Iain from the Swaggies on a day out caching in a area we both havnt been to for some time. Easy find, TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Homerjay73....
I've lost count of the number of HJ73 caches attempted today, but this was another and again in this large park that I had otherwise never been to. Nice quick find. No exchange made. Thanks for the cache.
Found by Mary & David at 1815. Our last for the day and our fourth cache from this car park. Couldn't see them now, but there were quite a few roos on this side of the fence too judging by the sounds they made hopping away. Dark enough to need the torch, but we found the cache as we circled out from our GZ. The lid has been broken on one edge, so the container won't be weatherproof. Our thanks to homerjay73 for contributing to a great day's caching.
Found with Team Gramon, GeoJnr and GeoTilly on our first caching day out for quite a whilst. Well it is nice to grab a couple of quick caches on foot and explore a little more of this great park. This was our last cache for the day in and round the new suburbs of this area and we all had an enjoyable time indeed. Some clever cammo jobs and interesting places to be had. There are plenty more that we have not found yet so we will be back down this way as soon as we can.
As luck would have it this was to be our 500th GC cache (we had broken the 500 mark a little whilst ago with GC/GCA combined) so we decided to drop our coins in and out to mark the occasion.
We didn't see Lead Scout today but that is not to say he/she/it did not see us. We did hear a sinister laugh off in the distance but that also could have been our imagination. TFTC Homerjay73. 'Til next time. Cheers.

Did this one after doing Toby's 1st cache. Easy find. Cache container was cracked though, might be from the large rock resting on top of it.
Loved the area and the walk - saw loads of Kangaroos!!!!!
Took compass and left palm tree.
Thank you

Geo daughter came up with the goods again here! Relatively easy find to end our caching amble for the day. Took compass & highlighter. Left compass, whistle and dinosaur. Lovely area....will be back for some more trekking here, looks like lots of interest to explore. Will look even better after some decent rain....ever hopeful for that! Cheers.
28 of 32. Nice and straight forward - could tell the suspect rocks on approach. Thanks homerjay73.
This was a fairly straight forward find in a great spot. Thanks for the hide. TNLN

Took a couple minutes and finally found. Good-sized cache here, filled with lots of goodies. Makes it much easier to convince Caleb to hunt for treasure & walk long distances on his 4yo legs.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Big Park! I'll have to explore this area on foot in the future.
Did this one on the way back from a big hike in Kinglake.
T: Fish Eagle's Elephant GC and Website Gold Tour #1 "Run to Groundspeak" GC.
L: Sony Cacheman Geo Mobile Phone TB.
TFTC homerjay73. I'll try and do some more of your caches in the vicinity.

Found on a day caching with Acts2YouthGroup. Both gps's had us in one area, then they relented and pointed to the good hide. Nice sized cache too thanks Lead Scout.
Eighteenth of twenty five cache finds for the day, the cache was found at 13:20 in the company of Alansee. I got a freight as a rabbit ran out near GZ, we searched one spot before the gps finally showed us the right way. I dropped off several trackables.
This area is awesome. Either by bike or just walking, you will enjoy searching for this cache.
16:20 On the way to pickup the geodogs after our holiday. Thanks homerjay73 - just the second one of your caches for us. Out TB and Sugar.
Found at 1005 hours, after a nice stroll in the park.Nice easy find.

I had a good look around for this one, but no luck. Found a good hidey-hole right at GZ, but no cache. I'll be back up here soon so I'll be back to grab it then.

The second in the park. They seem to be very keen on keeping people out of here. Chewin' found this one when I was looking in the wrong spot.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
A quick easy one to begin our stroll to Colorado. I suspect we should have continued from here to the one about a km south but we didn't.
I thought it strange the way they have fenced off adjacent areas that as far as I can see are public areas. In any case it's a nice big area to stroll around in and it seems we'll be back for more caches if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks again Homerjay

Found at 4.55pm GAFF1. We enjoyed exploring some more of this park. The GPS took us on a bit of a circle - (hasn't happened for a long time) until it settled on a very likely looking spot. Thanks homerjay73.
I am becoming more and more familiar with this park, probably eight visits so far this year and now I read there is another to be had in the near future! I found a nice convenient place to access the cache and found a well stocked container. I mush prefer these over micros.
Thanks, I look forward to the next visit.

We got to this cache late in the afternoon around 4:50pm some time after Feathertop/down. Tried not disturb the young crows obviously just out of the nest. Enjoyed the view so left a geocoin fresh from Bulgaria. Afterwards took a stroll down the park towards the gorge and disturbed a rosella in one of the breeding boxes. TFTC
The wind was really starting to pick up and the temperature was on the rise. Amazing how dry it is underfoot on the short walk up here from the car.
A nice quiet place in here with suburbia on the march next door.

This really does seem like a huge park and the two caches we did here this morning only scrape the edges.
Anyway thanks for showing us this place homerjay.

Yeah, just on that last note. A multi is in the process of being planted. 2 Months in the making (on and off). Along the lines of a 'possum hunt'. The 'possums' are out there, just need to fine tune and drop GZ. Watch this space. Just don't go there this Sunday. (work in progress) ; - )

After a quick find at the other nearby newie, I made the short stroll to GZ for this one and had another quick find. Unfortunately, I didn't see any wildlife - although from the droppings around here, I guess there must be heaps at dawn and dusk - this area just has that feel about it and there must be good water nearby in the Plenty River. It was funny reading the cache notes and seeing HJ's evident surprise at the extent and attractiveness of this park - when I was doing his nearby "Homer's Revenge part 2" quite a while back, I couldn't help wondering why he hadn't moved each waypoint a couple of hundred metres to the east and made his big multi into a tour around this park (oh well - I guess he'll just have to get off his butt, out of his car and do another one ).
TNLN
Thanks once more HJ73

This was fourth in my morning roundup of the northern newbies. I'm not sure if I accessed the cache in the correct manner but once at GZ, a short search had our 22nd FTF ( × 22) in hand at 08:50.
An amazing spot and I even saw some deer adjacent to GZ , which I actually thought were kangaroos at first .
TNLNSL, although our FTF geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks homerjay73 (but which episode has "LEAD SCOUTS PLAY GROUND" in it ).
