Solved this years ago but never here. Made a detour today to collect. Took a bit of digging but got there in the end. TFTC.
Day 20: To Howick and through the Rotary WalkTodays journey took us to the East of Auckland where we spent a little bit of time exploring Howick before I embarked on a long walk from Pigeon Mountain to Panmure via the Rotary Walkway. It was a beautiful walk along the Tamaki River which I really enjoyed. Thanks for all the caches in the area, these will be some of my last caches on this trip to NZ!(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache: Tricky little puzzle this one, but I guess this is sort of like a game of Geoguesr, and after that, ones geocaching technique comes into play. Managed to sort this one out and kept the coordinates for the day I would come by. Todays that day and the hiding spot is pretty obvious, but there was quite a bit of digging to be done because of how lonely this cache is. But, it was unearthed and logged into. Now, I wonder when the next visitor will come by TFTC!

Easter Sunday and I am up in Auckland with eyespyben and ABCDF4 to grab a few caches while people are away.
I had solved this one quite some time ago. I was so happy when the solve finally clicked. And happy to sign the log today. The hide was well buried but Mr ABCDF4 dug it out. Thank you for the placement.

Was in the area doing the new Ad Lab and was a good opportunity to collect this solved puzzle.Had a big nudge from my Geo Mate.
We have looked at this one many times over the past few years but we aren't very good at puzzles so never made any progress. We couldn't work out the location of the picture and were puzzled as to what to do even if we did as we didn't know in which direction the straight line needed to go. The possibilities seemed infinite.
Recently we had another look and noticed a couple of pieces of intel on the map which didn't give us the answers but did enable us to considerably narrow down the options for the final location.
Using this knowledge and the information from the cache description we began a systematic process which could have taken quite a while but luck was on our side and we could hardly believe our eyes when we got a green tick on the geochecker after only a few attempts.
We headed over to GZ this morning and after waiting for a muggle to pass we were very pleased to make a nice quick find.
It's so good to finally get a smiley for this one despite achieving it in a rater unorthodox manner, although we are still none the wiser as to how the puzzle was supposed to be solved so will continue to ponder this.
Thanks GreenBLAT for the hide. A favourite point from us as we really enjoyed the experience and the concept of the puzzle.

#10,724. I love these sorts of puzzles. Guess that is why I have a few of them myself. The cache page had enough info to guess where it might be and playing around with online tools helped to find the near exact spot if you know the history of the place. I ended up out by a single digit. Would have got it first go if I had read the description more carefully. Today we were in the area and after lots of driving around (none in a straight line) we finally made it to GZ. I of course set off for what I thought was the best hiding spot. Infoferret followed her phone to the actual coordinates. Cache was soon in hand. Signed the logsheet and replaced the container where found. Thanks GreenBLAT for hiding it here.
21 January 2022 15:31.no straight line involved in driving to this one! Quickly found in good condition once we got to GZ. Tftc GreenBLAT
This is certainly a tricky puzzle !
After a giant nudge I finally had some likely looking co ordinates ....Was doing some cache maintenance in the general area so carried on to pick up this final .
Easily found after poking around in an obvious place .
The container was rather deteriorated but log paper was fine .
Have put in a pill bottle to help it last ! Hope this is OK.

It took me several attempts to solve this puzzle.
I had the right idea, but getting the exact numbers took the time!
Google maps has changed again!
Anyway, passing by today and decided to go for it.
As I was walking up I noticed last find was almost two years ago, so I didn’t have super high hopes for finding it...
But after a few moments of digging, I was surprised and exposed the cache!
It’s rusty and missing it’s lid, but it still works!
Lonely no more!
Thanks for the puzzle and cache!

Solved ages ago and finally got around to finding today, easy find, but container is in poor condition
I originally looked at this puzzle a long time ago and didn't make much headway but I picked it up again recently and this time I immediately came up with an idea of what to do so I followed that idea and sure enough shortly after had the green tick. As we were in the area today we stopped by and made a super quick find in the first place I looked
Had plans to meet up with Merlot58 and Jag50 for some caching out East Auckland before heading to the Annual Quiz. I had help solving this puzzle. This was our first cache find after meeting up. We walked straight up to GZ and merlot made a quick find before the muggles came around the corner.
We met up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 for some caching out East Auckland before attending the Annual Geocaching Quiz. We were given a nudge as to how to solve this puzzle. Merlot walked straight up to this one and found the cache in the first place she looked. The lid is starting to get rusty, but otherwise this cache was in good condition.
Another weekend trip to Auckland for me, so another opportunity to get out and about and explore the second largest Metropolis on the planet, whilst collecting a few caches along the way.
I was woken up this morning by the sound of heavy rain, and boy what a day of it we've had here! Over 50mm, with streets flooded etc etc so today was a complete chillout day, and I wasn't even sure I'd get a chance to go out and grab one to get rid of another dot day.
I had solved this one some time ago, and have just been hoarding it awaiting the right day to go out and try to find it, so when there was a break in the clouds I thought "aha!"
Initially when I saw this puzzle I thought "well what am I supposed to do here?" But studying the photo, I spotted a clue which gave me a huge hint towards what was needed to solve this one. I won't give the game away, but I just happen to have parentage that was a huge advantage to me here.
So in the end it was a straightforward solve for me, and was very happy today to find it exactly where I thought it would be. Dusk was falling, and there were few muggles around so it was a quick find. I was able to sign the log on the nearby bench and then replace the container exactly as found.
Thanks for the placement, and I'm giving it a FP simply for the fact that it has given me a few ideas about a placement of my own hopefully to come out soon

We've had this one solved for a bit, and have come past here previously to have a look. Obviously we didn't search well enough in the past as it didn't take long today to make the find. This was a neat puzzle, and worthy of a favourite point
A mission to "Choose Your Hard - Part ?" had been eyed up for quite a few months between HKCB and I and so a short while ago the call went out, obviously with a call to make a day of it as we were in the area so collect a number of other caches along the way.
The object of the day was to aim for the higher terrain and difficulty ratings in the area.
So at 5 am we set off from Hamilton (in the company of 11HPG11, Kyb3r, HKCB) as we knew that many sets of eyes were going to be required for this little venture in Auckland today. All caches today have been signed HOAC to save space for the poor CO.
It was 11HPG11 that located this one in a spot previously checked by both HKCB and myself Dohh
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Cats&Dragons and myself have been eyeing up the "Choose your hard" series for a few months now, and we were both on the same wavelength that many eyes are going to make this much easier. So we put out the call and HPG, Kyb3r and Alpenmilch80 joined in for the fun. The general plan for the day was to focus on the "Choose your hard" series then grab a few harder caches in the area.
After locating the dots we put a bit of distance between us and them and headed to another part of Auckland to hunt out a few more caches, focusing on multi's and puzzles to help with the planetary pursuit.
I had solved this puzzle a while ago, and it took a bit of effort to get it all lined up. At GZ we all checked this spot, but digging deep definitely helped as HPG eventually came up with the goods.
A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed all of the logs as HOAC.

Out on a dot hunt with Cats&dragons, HKCB and Kyb3r. Signed logs as HOAC to save room. Enjoyed a great day visiting this area of Auckland and grabbing a few smilies.
Since we were heading by this one on the way to another cache we decided to stop and grab this puzzle.
Let the guys search the obvious spot and the came up empty, widened the search area, still nothing. Thought I better check an area they had already searched and spotted the cache straight away. Easy peasy!
Thanks for the nice puzzle!

After solving this one quite a while ago and previously looking for it without success we checked again a few days ago without luck as well. Set a message to the CO to confirm where it was and went again armed with replacement if required. With the new knowledge managed to find the original container after digging surprisingly quite a bit deeper. I enjoyed this puzzle and finally get a chance to give it a FP. TFTC.
Solved this one a few weeks ago - just after being in the area on another walk as you do. I had looked at the puzzle previous and tried solving it in a different way without success. When I got back to it I realised what was need and quickly found a tool. With the green tick and puzzle solved I finally got back to the area today. If my GPS is accurate then a through search of the immediate area came up empty. I widen the search area but still no luck. There seemed to be an obvious place to hide the cache but it was empty. Will watch the logs to see if anyone else is successful.
Enjoyed solving this a while back, although it took me a lot longer to solve as I also enjoy getting 'lost' while wandering around on google. Also found a tool or two to use, which may come in handy again. Knew I was going to be in Auckland for a couple of days so decided to collect a few caches in the area, rather than spending a wasteful night in front of a tellie in the hotel. Was also keen to get a great cache for my 9000th find - mission accomplished! *TFTC Greenblat, #9000*, and a favourite.
Thanks for the replacement, I thought we were in the right place and so we were. Many thanks to TW for the hard work done on this. I was just along for the ride, so it was nice to meet up again to make the find. Thanks.
Huge thanks to the owner for replacing this cache so quickly. So happy to have it solved and it was certainly no hardship to return to this lovely area to complete the formalities with Trout-fly. First time I've seen him in a business suit. Huge fav point from us for this puzzle cache, loved the whole concept and learnt a few more skills along the way.
Cache had indeed dissapeared so replaced. Sorry for the fruitless search guys. Dropped off the man from Lombuk.
Ran into Tofska 'somewhere nearby' while on the way to do maintenance but that's the only hint you're getting M@

After huge success and another Greenblat cache and a nice green tick on the geochecker it was off to find the cache and sign the log book. Alas, the cache would not reveal itself . Note it has not been found for about 6 months and pretty sure we were in the right place. Would really appreciate this one being replaced. Thanks for the puzzle and hope to complete the formalities sometime.
Out and about with Team Welsh and the caching buddy, Josie but even with the experts in tow, I still couldnt see it!
Solved this one awhile ago and thought today was a good day to go and find this one! It was a quick solve once i had the lightbulb moment and it all made sense. No problems with the find either, cache is nice and dry and in good order. Thanks Greenblat for an enjoyable puzzle!
What else to do on a cold wet day, but solve some puzzles? I had a long look at this puzzle a few months ago but had no idea how to procede. Eventually, I had the light bulb moment and realised what was involved. However, actually getting coordinates for the GPS required a few steps and I was only able to narrow down the search area and not get a green tick from the geochecker. I put it in the "for latter" pile. Took another look today, and was slightly more efficient with my method. This soon produced the desired green tick. A quick find at GZ in the first place I looked. A break in the rain meant GZ was a lovely, if cold, spot this afternoon. Cheers for the imaginative puzzle!
Nice view and puzzle. Had a picnic after finding the cache. Thanks LiwiLeon for the clues, and thanks to Greenblat for his lack of confidence in us. ;P
This puzzle confused me for a while, before suddenly the solution became obvious. Thanks for a good puzzle that took some thought to solve.
Relieved to have finally got this puzzle straightened out. Got distracted by a red herring for a long time. Made the find today on a puzzle collectng expedition. Liked the location of the fnal. Thanks

Was a little bit bored over Friday lunch and finally had a breakthrough on this one. Eureka the coords checked out!! Quick find once we got to GZ. Thanks for the puzzle cache
Wahoo,
Solved at long last, this puzzle has been looked at several times, not easy finding that exact pic on google earth in East Tamaki! Something finally clicked and we spotted the photo.
Hope to collect this weekend all going well.
Thanks for the AHA moment type puzzle!

Spent some time thinking about this one but eventually had to P.A.F. Confirmed what I was doing was correct but for some reason different answers. Once cleared up the puzzle began to unravel till eventually "SUCCESS" on the geochecker. Nice quick find once at GZ. Thanks for the puzzle.

Took a wee nudge from the owner to get me going, though I'm still not sure just how helpful the nudge was.
However something must have tweaked, and I was soon on the right track.
Quick find today on the way home.
Great puzzle and great spot, yet another I'd never been to before!

Woohoo – Our 300th NI Puzzle cache
This was one tricky puzzle, originally headed down the wrong line and got completely fixated on the wrong idea. Bumped into the owner at the recent Flash Mob Event and got a wee nudge.
Its much easier to solve, once we got to the core of the problem. Many thanks Alan and Tina for the milestone puzzle, what a cool and original concept, with the final in a nice spot, well thought out.
