We are on a family holiday to Nelson.
This morning was like herding feral cats. The plan for us was to head to Ruby Bay after dropping Son number 2 at Silvan Mt Bike Park to meet up with friends.
By the time we got to Ruby bay the wind had cooled and our friends were leaving. Nevermind we had lunch and I found this geocache.

Thanks. Rambullers for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5267 for me.
This one wasn't easy as there are multiple places that match the hint. Beautiful spot though.
Found on our Family bike ride along the great taste cycle trail between Mapua & Tasman. Today, I found 15 geocaches, which is a personal best for me & I also cycled past some lovely places & found some geocaches as well along the way. After finding the co-ordinates, I searched around a fair bit before making the find. Really cleverly done. Find#275
TFTF Couldn't sign log as no pencil in cache but photo'd the log.
Great cache design and windy location

Enjoying an easy bike ride along the great taste trail from Richmond. Stopped on our return trip following a nice cold cider at Jesters. Stopped to enjoy the beach view and hello heres a cache 50m away!! Just had to be quiet as muggles were also enjoying the beach. Found on a second look right where the gps was pointing.
Stopped for a picnic lunch nearby. Turned on phone and a quick walk along beach and cache in hand. While at the beach also witnessed kayaker getting rescued off Mapua. Thanks for the cache.
Nice placement. Lovely spot, I have to bring the kids back so they can find this one too. Tftc
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Yes a great hiding spot thanks very much! 2nd today where I'm following someone, wonder if I'll bump into them searching...
It might have been us. Took a couple of days before we got home to log our finds. TFTC
Not stumped for too long as we made our way back to Richmond from Motueka. TFTC!!!
We finally got a handle on this one. Was quite distracted by all the fabulous stones. Hard to find a cache when looking for the perfect stone.
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Spent some time fishing in Mapua before heading out this way for a bit of a drive....even with people around on a hot day it was easy enough to make the find and sign. Cheers.

Find #2475 while on a 5-day explore of the Tasman district. Last day, this time cycling the Great Taste Trail from Mapua to Tasman return. Perfect day with little wind early on. Collected caches on the return journey. Located the right stump and the well camouflaged cache! SL TFTC
On our epic CANZ trip around the South Island. We found CANZ Marlborough plus a few others and then headed to Nelson, in the rain and wind, got CANZ Nelson so on to CANZ Tasman. This had to be the last one for the day before we found some accommodation for the night and Mrs S needed the local facility.
Mr S went to find. He had the wrong hint to start with but soon had the cache in hand. Very clever hide. Well done Rambullers gets a FAV from us, and another smilie face in the South Island.

Looking around the wrong stump to start with then managed to cut myself on I don't know what, then found the cleverly hidden cache. TFTC (1628)
After visiting the local market in the center of Motueka, we went out to see a vinyard (Seifried Estate), and on our way we stopped a few times and found some caches.
This was a quick and easy find.
Thanks for the cache.

JUST about to leave but spotted something odd picked it up and there was the cache
We came earlier in the day, but was pretty busy, so returned to grab this cache mid afternoon.
Another weekend day, another mission, and another time with the Seagnoid in the co-pilots seat. Todays target was types in a day; I was targetting an improvement on my previous (puny) five and seven were up for grabs (wish I'd 'saved' the Brightwater virtual a couple of weeks ago but ho hum)
A not so early start time had us on the road just after seven and getting back oround 9 in the evening made another long, but satisfying, caching day and experience. we were targetting traditional, multi, mystery/puzzle, earth, letterbox, wherigo and event in Stoke to be the cherry on the cake. In the end I managed a satisfying six types, gave up on the earth ccahe at Kina Sea cliffs as too far to walk with the start time for the event looming. Still managed over 50 in a day which was very satisfying, including a bonus F T F to finish the day off, thanks gahaylock.
Grabbed whilst passing, nice camo. Does the tide keep away from up here? Hope so. Watched by a couple of kids in the house behind but obscured our doings with our bodies. Hopefully.

[green] Out again with Capperz. This time with a more relaxed 7am start. Mainly to go to an event in Nelson, but let's face it - its just to go geocaching again. A number of aims, the main one being to get Capperz seven cache types in one day (I already have eight), but alas we could not squeeze the earth cache in. Still, we managed to upgrade his bronze badge to gold. On the way we found too many nanos and bisons, too many DNFs (mostly in Stoke - Is there something about that place I should know?) and even a brand new empty logbook!
When we saw the hide here we figured this would take quite a while. A while it did take, although less than I expected. Capperz came up with the goods.
This has to be the best skimming stone beach ever! nearly every stone seems perfect for flicking into the water! If I lived here I would be spending a lot of time moving the beach back out to sea!

Now this cache had us foxed on one of our earliest geocaching forays and it almost had us beaten again. On the verge of DNFing and having spent a while admiring the lizard basking in the sun around the location our GPS was pointing to, we had one last scout around the wider area and then spotted something that looked a little out of place. We were glad we did as Lo and behold, it was the cache container.
A clever hide; nice one.

Cool cache! Hope the kids watching from the balcony are not muggles. They'd gone inside before I actually found it anyway
Out for a walk along beach and saw this was nearby. Combined mother and daughter effort had a the cache in hand after a brief search. Lid was still broken despite patch up repair job. TFTC
Parked the van for lunch a few hundred metres from this one and then went for a stroll to find it. TFTC
Second cache of the day, just as we stopped for a detour on ruby bay.
Even though the lid is torn, the cache is still dry, but for how long?
Thanks for the cache

Found it with MargeNeil after crawling around several logs. Coordinates seemed off a bit. We did like the camo attachment, but lid was broken. We turned it so hopefully rain could not get in. Wish we'd had a plastic bag to protect it a bit.
2/17/14 Glad we found this one! We did a lot of searching and the coordinates didn't match but were close. I took a pic of Geo-Dog on top of the old log!
Thought nice easy one, but no I had to go further to find it. Good hide. I will give this a favourite. I need challenging. TFTC
On a GeoHashing night tonight...1st one after a DNF at the last....a nice QEF. Nice little cache but the lid is broken.
TFTC.

Nice integrated "hide-enforcement" at the container. Took a bit of a search but found. TFTC
Well, this one had me "stumped" for a bit. What on earth is a retainer? Ah, ok, got it. Thank heavens nobody was walking by or they'd have thought this crazy woman needed some help, it took so long for me to figure it out! In the end, found easily enough once the big picture was appreciated. TFTC. J&G and dog.
Had to use clue here and even then it was a bit of a hunt while Chelzea was admiring and taking pictures of the local.
Lots of folk around today, couple kept their distance but were obviously curious about the old girl fossicking around...
Well this one had me scratching my head for a while but persistence paid in the end. Sneaky hide and gets a favourite from me. TFTC!!
Easter weekend and what better than to go cache hunting with my favourite Easter Bunny. Worked out a circuit and off we went. This one took a bit of looking but finally managed to figure it out and made the lucky "hmmm, what's this moment" that gave me the big . Was very pleased the nearby muggles overlooking GZ weren't home for Easter. Very nice hide. TFTC
For some reason this was not working out for us, two people looking for about 15-20min. Maybe next time?
came here twice and here was a fisherman with 2 kids!!! he was watching me like a hawk so decided to give it a miss, dam
Wow, this took a while, got there in the end. Cool hide! getting a bit blustery at GZ so I was glad to sign the log and get back to the car. TFTC
