It is with a sad heart that I am forced to archive this cache. The monument has been removed due to major road works and will not be replaced for many months yet. We are not allowed to keep the cache temporally disabled so I must archive it!
Stay tuned though, once the monument is back in place there will be another cache there!!
Cheers Wesso

I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the *archive listing* link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, **please log a note to the cache** (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

I found this one at night as we were spending the night in the free camp area over the road. Much roadworks happening, but cache is safe and well. tftc.
Got this one today, yay!not sure how long we will be able to access this once the road changes are complete. Took the challenge today as no workmen around. Geocache daughters refused to take part. So pleased I got it.
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls and Mr Curious Quest. After finding a nearby cache, we made our way to this one. A quick find was made and our names were soon in the logbook. TFTC
A quick find here once we found a place to park away from the road works. Names were added to the log, and off to the next cache we went. Tftc Wesso Family
Had a trip with the geofamily knocking out a few caches along the way this was a quick park and grab lots of fun for my little one.
Find #330
Driving from Beaudesert to Cooroy and back today, had to break the trip up a bit and what better way to do it then to find some caches. Ended up finding 6 today, not a bad haul at all.
This one was such a great cache. I have so many fond memories as a kid of the great man and miss him terribly. It was an absolute honour to be be even just passsing near his old stomping ground and explaining to the kiddos who he was and why it looked like a crocodile was trying to eat him.
Lots of spiders here, which worked in my favour because there was plenty to photograph whilst discreetly searching. So many muggles! Some took an interest in me but when I pulled the phone out taking photos, they quickly lost interest. Cache was quickly found, ducked down to sign and replace. One final photo for posterity and I was off.
Rest in peace Mr Iwin, you're a true Aussie Hero.
Thanks for the cache Wesso Family, cache is in great condition.

Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc
Finally! I was seen looking for this ages ago on my way to an event. They beeped me and my embarrassment had kept me away since then. On our way to Beerwah today for breakfast and caching. Geoman found it because he was keen for brekky! Tftc
After finding the twin to this cache earlier in the week, it was an easy find here. Tftc
Today I had between school hours to nab a few smilies to make an upcoming milestone, and the area around Caloundra was the target.
Thanks **The Olly's / Wesso Family** for bringing us here, this find makes #3986. Discover our TB

Found this a few months ago but forgot to log it, a bad habit I have. Got up close and personal with Steve and found the cache, while trying to avoid spiders.
Many thanks for the cache
Many thanks for the cache
Today we ventured down to Caloundra, this was a tiki tour following the caches along the way.
Scenic views of mountains & seascape. Passed through some new subdivisions as well, some seemed quiet upmarket.
A good variety of caches & hides found.
Detoured off the highway on the way home, found a similar cache to the other end of Steve Irwin Way.
Thanks for placing this cache Wesso Family

Thanks a lot for all of Aussie caches! I must say that Australia is really beautiful and one of the best country for holiday! Me and my girlfriend enjoyed 52 days long traveling (from Brisbane to Brisbane via Cairns, Darwin, Alice Springs, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Gold Coast), sleeping in our car and of course geocaching here!
Greetings from the Czech Republic/Europe! I would like to invite all australian geocachers to Czechia, we have got many excellent caches on amazing places too!

At last - reading a book by Bob Irwin so gave it another go - geograndie found it easily. Tftc
On the way to see a client and found I had 45 minutes to spare. What to do? Fire up the app and look for the closest prospective smiley, of course.... a couple of muggles at the bus stop nearby, but no problems getting this one. All in good order, and log us dry, thanks for bringing me here!
A quick find while on our way home from the Gold Coast. Had to fight our way through the cobwebs. TFTC
Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.
Caravan set up at Beerwah Sportsground so we decided to head out to find a few caches in the surrounding area. A list was constructed but with a late start this was our first find at 10.30am it was dark o'clock when we returned home.
An interesting day of walks, fave points, scenic areas. Glad we came to this region.

Found by Mary & David at 1440. Crikey, it was a sad day when we lost Steve. Loved the monument. No problems with the find. Our thanks to Wesso Family.
Our last cache before getting on the highway and zooming off to our place at Coolabine. I have to say I tip toed around looking for this one. The ground was a bit wet and muddy. I finally spotted it and said to myself "did it have to be there!". Trust me not to have my boots on. So in I went with my thongs on. Um, mud between my toes is not my idea of fun and the wipes in the car didn't do much to get it all off LOL. Thanks for the caches in this area Wesso Family. Made for a fun afternoon of caching for me and the little chikins.
Super easy find. The Geokids spotted it and retrieved it while faking a tourist paparazzi shot! Secretly sign and hidden again for the next cacher. Hopefully the next visit will be sooner than the distance before us.
#1365 Unlike 'Steves Way - Crikey', this rest area was full of parked cars, but luckily not one muggle in sight. Super quick find in between. Possibly my last geo find in QLD as I return to Canberra tomorrow. Thanks Wesso Family for all your geocaches and maintaining them for future cachers.
A great little find on my way home from work.
Usually lots of muggles so i hadn't stopped here yet.
Found, 'Signed' & swapped. TFTC

Up here for work so I thought I would pick up a few caches on the way. Didn't have pen but took photo of tin. TNLN TFTC
Got a bit confused here but Steve helped... after a bit of searching around got it in the end TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Parked at the rest area across the way and wondered over for a quick find.
Thanks for the fun Wesso Family!

Easy find on the way home from having fish and chips with the family thanks geocaching
Found it looked yesterday and couldn't find it but looked again today and found it
Found after our holidays up north.
It was pouring rain so there weren't too many muggles even though it was the middle of the day.
Thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang

I was asked by some friends to take them out for a day of Geocaching as they really enjoyed our last adventure. Today's goal was to finish what we had started at Ewen Maddock Dam.
This cache was found quickly after the nearby cemetery cache. We retreated behind the largest section of the sign to sign the logbook. Replaced as found.

This was find number 10 out of 10 on perhaps our most successful day of caching ever. Papadavid drove up, and I got a very lucky sight line from the passenger seat. "I think I cam see it." Ducked back to the car for the signing, where poor Greatbritishbeef hadn't even had a chance to unbuckle her seatbelt yet! Then tucked it back where it was and we were away before we knew it. One of the greatest Drive-By caches we'll ever experience, I reckon! TFTC.
