What a trek, thought I would park at the nearby monument, only a 121 mts the phone says. True it was but through buffell grass, prickles, a teabag trail. The wildflowers were a nice distraction & the caches host was what made the trek worthwhile. Then to return to the car & spend almost an hour removing all the tags longs off my socks & shoes.( I had considered just throwing them all in the bin but then I couldnt find the rest of the caches back to Alice. Not ready to give up for the day. TFTC
Our running mate arrived here at the same time we did. We are supporting our mate who is running to Darwin (@curlyrunsnz). He is having a well earned rest day after running from Erldunda to Alice in 3 days (200km).way-finder, I found High on Highway today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Thanks for the cache. Another find on our Adventure East to West on The Outback Way!
We had to take the dog for a walk, so what better excuse to incorporate a cache at the same time. A quick find and left a swap. TFTC
We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

Nice easy find. Used my pen to access the log book after a small spider scurried off the cache location.Interesting high point. Thanks
A nice break from the nearby power trail. quick find.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to way-finder from mogni

Alice Spring to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Two: Alive Springs
With six days to get to Adelaide, I figured I had enough time to linger in the Alice Springs region a bit longer. Today I headed north, partly to claim Centra Desert LGA, partly to get a new most northerly in Australia cache, and partly to see what I haven’t seen before.
An interesting fact here. Same height as Mt. Lofty.

Nice easy find here not far from the tourist attraction.
Certainly needs a bit of care with this one as the container is starting to deteriorate.

Heading out of town for a quick caching run for International Geocaching Day 2020.
Wow, the things you learn when out geocaching! I knew Alice Springs was ~600m and Mt Gillen ~920m above sea level but didn't realised the highest point on the road was between Adelaide and Darwin.
Thanks for the cache way-finder.

Another interesting spot along the highway that just happens to have a cache as well...two reasons to stop. [^]
Read the info at the monument, took a couple of photos then went for a short walk to find the cache. The hide was easily spotted and the cache retrieved (although the cache container is needing some TLC as it is brittle and has broken).
Stamped the log and replaced as found then back to the car.

This cache has been here a long time and the sun has taken it’s toll. I’ve placed the cache inside an old 5 litre old can to give it a bit more protection. It’s still in the same place. T4TC
A quick find while exploring this side of the Stuart highway.
Cache container needs replacing. Everything else ok.
Another find clocked up on our Big Trek to Uluru and Alice Springs. TFTC

Bit of a hike from Highest Point Marker. GPS says 722m above sea level. Wow!
Container has whole on one side and the rest is very brittle, clips broken too, needs replacing with another small sistima. Left 2 swaps. TFTC

We have travelled from A (our home in SW of WA) to B via the Savannah Way with a two week unexpected detainment in Mackay which has set us back, now sadly travelling back to A via the Outback Way from Winton to Laverton.
We have extra time in Alice than we planned so some extra caching is now happening. Gotta get my 4000 before I get into WA
I had this one the list to do on the way into Alice the other night but I forgo quite a few caches to get to Alice to get urgent problems sorted but we were too late to do that plus someone logged before about bullants which made me think 'nah'. Well lucky for me those bullants happens to be a termite mound/nest so all is good
Today Mr dimor said I could go 5km north of the Tanami so a few extra finds for today

Another nice warm Winter day for a trip north while at Alice for a few days.
Not many muggles around today and a few good quick finds.
Today's main mission was to tackle the NOAS series and a few other nearby caches.
Thanks for the cache way-finder, cheers from the Riverina, NSW,

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9734. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
As we headed north on the highway today we pulled in to check this one out. Near the GZ I spotted an interesting nest that I have no idea what belongs in it.
Thanks way-finder for the cache.

Nice one . Favorite point. The cache is A1. TFTC and greetings from Montréal Québec
Driven over from perth to visit Alice Springs. Day 2 of being here we decided to do the NOAS series and pick up a few puzzle caches and traditionals that were along the way. Unfortunately the first 3 caches in the NOAS series have been burnt from a bushfire and all that remains is wire hanging from the tree or marbles on the ground that were in the containers. Further along the series they have cleared the side of the road and a couple of caches were missing which we replaced and there is a few caches only just hanging on by a thread as they have cleared right up to the tree. Hope the CO doesn't mind we logged the first 3 caches as a find as we do have photos to prove we were there. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches for us and others to find.
With GeoBet&Tor. TFTC. found with Carer Lis Brown on a trip from shepparton Vic to Ross river Homestead near Alice Springs, and back to Shepparton.
As we finish up our time in Alice Springs and start heading north to Darwin, we knew we had one more trail and some random caches we wanted to get on our way out of town. So we set off early with hopes high of achieving our biggest day of 60+ (massive we know) Glad to have a beautiful day to stop and start along the highway. Thanks to all who placed the caches along the highway, special thanks to Alicecaching for the NOAS trail.
This was found as part of our journey from Mildura to Darwin and return

I dared to tackle this cache without supplemental oxygen [:o]
The geomobile didn't seem to notice the altitude,
possibly due to the turbo charger !!
But I was struggling to make the short ascent from the highest point of the Stuart Highway to GZ [xx(]
Where's the oxygen gone !!
Future finders may want to bring altitude sickness tablets and supplemental oxygen to tackle this elevated cache [:o]
I'm surprised that warning has not been included in the cache page by the CO !! [:o)]
TFTC !!
and high altitude experience !!
Does it snow here in winter ??

An early start from Alice Springs had us ready and rearing to go at 7:40 am to commence our morning of caching. N.O.A.S. 50 was our starting point and we headed south. We wanted to smash our former daily record (which had only recently been established as part of the Red Centre Experience over Easter). We knew we were in with a good chance. Just the N.O.A.S. series would have blown the numbers skywards, and yet we grabbed a few of the older caches as well. Thank you to all of the cache owners for your amazing efforts.
Here for the mega event from Perth. Headed out to complete NOAS series and grab a few extras tftc

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks way-finder for placing this cache.
