On the way past at 10:30pm thought it would be quiet but no, it's a busy little intersection.
Had a look in a couple of spots I thought it may've been in but couldn't find it then saw something out of place and there it was.
Thanks for the Cache Capt.Roverman88

A friend has just moved from one side of the bays to the other, so needed all of her pot plants delivered. I was happy to help out, especially since it meant the opportunity to find a few caches on the way home.
Several months ago, while chasing placed dates, I stopped here for an attempt in the wee hours of the morning, but came up empty handed. Reading back through the shenanigans outlined in recent owner logs, I now understand why.
The new coordinates made the hiding spot fairly obvious, and a better placement than before, in my opinion. Finding and logging are two different things, however, and a bit of patience was required before I could make the grab. This is now definitely a terrain rating of 2.0, and I'm glad not to suffer from duck's disease.
Nice work, Capt.Roverman88. Thanks for the fun and my first cache of the afternoon.

Cache found in back quietly on Melbourne after completing "The Bellarine Rail Trail" in Geelong. thank you
Was planing an afternoon of caching but left things a little late today. I figured I might as well have a crack at a few nearby local caches that I'd been wanting to get for a while.
Second attempt at this one. Had a quicker search this time with Geo-wife & Geo-daughter. Put Geo-daughter on my shoulders for this one so she made the find. What an awesome 4 year old!!
Thanks Capt.Roverman88 for the hide!
Log signed & replaced. TFTC & smiley face

Had a few visits here but had to abandon due to muggle activity, but today i walked away with a smiley face TFTC
On my back from Ocean grove and picked this one up.
Those of short stature might have issues here.
Perhaps the terrain needs a tweak.
Thanks Ben.

Found 07 December 2013 14:47:16 Ok yes at first the GPS did bounce a little around the area. But a little bit of deducting soon had us looking on the right item. It was all a matter of getting the right angle to locate this cache. Well done and always fun to look up and see someone sitting in there car at the lights trying to work out what these people are doing.
JABs.
JABs.
Found this cache as part of my caching trip with JAB's to Victoria's Mornington Pennisula and Geelong area. The 29 hours claimed 158 GC caches and 2 GCA trig points. Some great caches were found and the southern beaches were a highlight.
After failing to find something a few weeks ago whilst introducing my father to the game I was pleased to see that a new cache has been placed for this site.
Tonight's Story:
I am down in Leopold visiting Dad again and decided to grab a few city caches on the way home from dinner. As I got closer to dad's (this one is the closest to his place) I had a look at the cache page for this one and read about the trials and moving about of the old cache, and that a new cache was enabled a few days ago. At 10:30pm I pulled over, giving in to the urge to go get it and ignoring the I have to get up early nagging in the back of my mind.
At GZ I encountered a common issue of the GPS wouldn't settle. It had me bouncing around pretty much all the metal objects in the area. It seemed to like the traffic light and street sign the best and I spent a lot of time examining both (some very hard to reach places which I thought to high for the difficulty rating but had to look anyway). I was scratching around post and looking under everything, down the side of everything, in cobwebs and holes. Where is the little bugger! I was starting to hear the nagging voice in the back of my head telling me "sleep time" start to grow louder. Something inside kept me searching. At 11:30pm after looking EVERYWHERE I had a brainwave to check somewhere I had already been but in a small part I hadn't checked. Bingo (I think)! I definitely felt something, and in the dark I also thought I felt it drop to the ground... I turned on my torch and search the ground, what colour was I looking for? was it even the nano? was it just one of the seed pods from the near by tree? How frustrating!
I look up and luckily the magnet had stuck lower down! THE CACHE! I opened up to find a fresh looking log but it wouldn't fall out.... went to the car, grabbed the tweezers and signed the log.
FTF 160m SATURATION Mark 2! WOOP WOOP!!
What an evening. Certainly very happy to have found this one (in the dark!)
Its been emotional. TFTC Capt!

I always found it funny when l would read a log for this cache saying DNF or ones that go along the lines of 'It was way off the cords' or some other excuse for it either taking cachers too long to find it or not finding it at all. What some cachers may not realize but l only live around the corner from this cache (and for the 4 years l didnt live around the corner l frequented the area more the 5 times a week) so l was always able to check up on this cache and would be able to find it and yes sometimes it would be well of the cords but after some investigating l have it down to one of three things, other cachers are moving it (not out of spite, they might think wasnt in the right area or something and just helping out), the weather was bad which ment it would play games with my GPS and not give me a accurate reading or its muggles playing tricks on us lol
Anyway as of just earlier tonight l have put in plan B (l have back up plans for all my caches in case of emergency) which in this caches plan B notes is a nano cache. Some of you may think 'OMG a nano cache, we struggle finding a small camo sistema container how are we ever going to find a nano cache?'. Well as a matter of fact its pretty easy because its a magnetic nano.
Have fun caching and please keep safe which this hide as it has always been and still is close to were traffic is so please keep a eye on the geo-kids.

Hello All,
Over the last 6 months l have been closely monitoring this cache (l only live around the corner) as l have been getting regular reports of it being missing or otherwise (so if you havent actually signed a log but have logged as a find even tho you've only found something that might of been a cache l have deleted your logs sorry, l know if l have found something in the past that might resemble a cache l actually contact the CO to see if they are able to replace the cache before actually logging it) but there seems to of been a bit of foul play with this cache.
When l first got logs saying that it was missing l was able to find it (so these logs should of just been a DNF log not a maintenance log) but then l noticed the cache actually started to be moved around?
When l originally placed this cache this area was a little over grown (but l figured it would be cleaned up at some stage which l had a back up plan B for that if it happened) but when it did get cleaned up, who ever did the cleaning up left the bush this cache as hidden in there but just cleaned up the bush a little but which l thought was pretty cool so the cords stayed the same.
Fast forward to today and l have been noticing the cache has been getting physically moved from bush to bush, tree to tree over the last 6 months and l cant figure out why? I dont believe it is cachers but someone from the public either a) being a trouble maker or b) thinking they are helping out but re-hiding it so that the game can keep getting played.
Either way l am temporarily disabling this cache for the time being while l put into play backup plan B which should be active within the month.
Sorry for anyone who has been put of doing this cache but it will be back up active soon.

Log is totally destroyed and covered with little snail trails. Only the log and ziplock bag remains.
In Geelong for a weekend of Square Dancing and sharing accommodation with the xambo4u team so having a spare hour or so headed off to do a little caching. We had looked at this little group a few years back but had abandoned ship when found ourselves short of time. This one took time to find as the co-ords are more than 6metres out. TFTC
Thought that two muggles playing tennis may cause us problems but no probs at all. Nice quick find with kizalee. Saw a bmx rider do a back flip at the nearby skate park which was cool. Happy 3rd International Geocaching Day. TFTC
Found! Was a busy intersection & with a game of footy on I thought this one might be hard. But the cache was far enough away hidden that no one saw me. Plus the cache had only 1 snail on it, maybe that made this find very easy. TFTC Capt. Roverman
Out and about with 80 degrees for the weekend for a state square dancing convention. Getting some time off between session we managed to check out a couple in the area. Parked the car opposite to do the multi on the other side of the intersection. Needed to widen our search here about 6 metres before Mrs 80 made the easy find.
Thanks for the cache CaptRoverman88

Lots muggles were watching the football game so they didn't take any notice.

Yay! Second find for the day. 2 outta 2 baby =] co-ords were a little off but after a bit of searching we found it. My friend also found a $10 note! Huge bonus. Going towards the petrol fund. T.F.T.C! Cheers =]
After a little looking around, was right under our noses the whole time! Geoboyfriend found $10 which made it even better!

bikerbuddy realised this cache was nearby as I was trying to pull out of the McDonalds car park & back into traffic. So it tturned out lucky that it was easier to do a left turn back towards the cache then it was to do a right across all that traffic!
Coords seemed a little out, so this took a bit longer than it should.
Thanks

We'd just had lunch at Maccas and were back in the car when I remembered that this cache was close. We had to do a loop of the block and then park again to get back to it. Thanks
My phone must have been out, as I was approx 10m away. Wandered around and found it.
Weather against me today and many muggles driving by made me a bit wary. Maybe next time
This Labor Day long weekend marked a camping trip to Geelong for a gallivant around the countryside picking up a number of caches (69 to be exact). Unfortunately we couldn’t foresee the weather and with temperatures soaring into the high thirties, caching took a back seat between 11am and 8pm. This did provide us with an opportunity to rest up and do some night caching around the areas.
After setting up the tent and camp site after a gruelling 3 hour trip from Endeavour Hills to Geelong on Friday, we grabbed a bite to eat, then hit the road for a couple of hours grabbing a few caches around the Belmont area, even seeing a guy night flying an electric aeroplane, all lit up with LED’s looking like a UFO.
Saturday saw us caching out onto the Bellarine Peninsular towards Leopold in the morning before seeking refuge back at the caravan park pool, before once again venturing further out to Drysdale into the wee hours of the morn.
After a sleep in on Sunday, we made our way to the Steampacket Gardens to have a look around, also grabbing a couple of caches before heading to Melbourne to see the Storm play their first game. After a great dinner in Victoria St, we took the opportunity to have a great caching run winding from Laverton to Eynesbury across to Balliang then back down to Geelong once again finishing up around 2am.
Monday we packed up the camp site before venturing to do the fabled Mystery of the Fyansford Treasure Horde cache, which was also our 700th find!!
After parking at the new Macca's, we walked to GZ where Katy made the quick find.
We want to thank the CO’s for placing the caches, we had a blast finding such a variety of different hides.

I've looked for this one before, but today I pulled up and thought I could see the obvious spot for GZ, which was a few meters from what the GPS thought. Happily I was right and the GPS wrong.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Today I went on a mission to complete cache epicness. I knew I was not going to find many caches, but that was alright since I knew I was finding two of the most outstanding caches in Victoria: Benito's Treasure and Fyansford Treasure Hord. We arrived in Queenscliff early as we knew it was going to take a whlie to complete both caches. We picked up a few others along the way, however we did not have time to fit in many more around Geelong/Queenscliff. This was the only DNF of the day .
After completing Benito's Treasure in Queenscliff, we tried to collect this cache while on the way back to Geelong. Unfortunately, it was not to be today. Limited time meant I couldn't have a decent search, alongside the fact that there were a number of muggles in the area. Thanks anyway roverman88, next time hopefully
PS, sorry for such a late log (writing this on the 24/8/13), but I guess its better late than never!

Sorry roverman88 for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks roverman88 for placing this cache.
My first attempt at placing a cache suffered from area saturation. As a new cacher at the time I was unaware of the "hidden" waypoints of a nearby multi-cache. I learnt to always do the caches nearby b4 hiding one, especially the multi's!
Thanks

Found on a day trip to the Bellarine Peninsula with abl973. Our timing was fairly spot on for this one as the tennis courts were empty and the last couple of players left just as we arrived. Thanks for the cache.
This was found with my caching friend Square Pegs on a day spent exploring the Bellarine Peninsula before returning to Melbourne. It was a great day and we scored a variety of other caches as well visiting areas I've never been to which is what I like about caching. Thanks to the CO for bringing me here today.
Find # 3772 @ 3:35 pm. Accompanied by Wheelchair Access, it was a beautiful day for a drive so we decided to go to Queenscliff and get a few caches along the way. Easy find, TNLN, Left my mark in the log, Thanx Roverman88....
A quick find today despite the iPhone navigation not really playing ball. IOS6 update has not been kind! TNLN - TFTC!
Good one for the squids to attempt a non muggle grab. Had to hide in a bush for a sec, but made a clean grab and replace. Took balloon left foreign bounty.
#310 for us, found by juc_snr today, while at the reserve for juc_jr to play footy on oval #2 at the other end of the park..
While the team warmed up and had their pre-match pep-talk I made the short and easy walk to GZ and a quick grab.
I signed the log, replaced the cache and returned in time to do photographer duty as the kids slogged it out on a rough and muddy field. I have seen cattle-yards that weren't as rough and muddy as this ! The Under 16's playing on the main oval clearly had the better pitch today, but I reckon the Under 14's didn't mind a bit...they have been lacking mud this season and what 13/14 year old kid doesn't want an excuse to come home as black as the ace of spades ?
After the match (we lost), juc_jr was so filthy we had to strap him to the roof for the homeward trip. (not really).
I took one of the roverman88 sheep ear-tags
Thanks for the cache here today roverman88 and I reckon it was one of the few things around that wasn't saturated today!

Picked up this one enroute to the Finals of a Multi done earlier in the day. It was now quite dark and cold, so armed with a Torch and a warm coat, pleased to report this one was picked up quickly, and it was back to the warmth of the car. Thanks to roverman88 for placing this one.
For some reason thought it'd just be in the long grass. Re thought and found it!
Whilst enroute from Melbourne to the B ellarine Peninsula with my wife,Mrs (One-Eyed) and our Daughter and Son In Law ( Imapom) had to stop for a" WEE STOP" for the girls.
Imapom and I took off to search for this cache, found it okay, not many muggles around.

I'm not a great fan of the 160m metre rule. It was apporiate in the days when GPS recievers weren't accurate, but now we can get VERY close. And IMHO 160m is far far too far.

A late night find on my way down to Queenscliffe for a few drinks with mates.. nice nite for it and very quiet at this hour.. Dipped Go GGO Mobile for the driveby find.. TNLN find # 2181
Quick stop over as we headed home from NC.
Not a quick find as the G took some time to settle. However geo-gf expanded the search zone and made a quick find. The cache although was hidden well out of sight it had no camo - totally exposed.
Thx roverman88 for the hide

On the way from a 31st bday party in melb n thought it was time l sorted this one out. Will have back up ASAP with some tb's in her hopefully
This log marks the 1156th smiley to be recorded in the stats of WazzaAndWenches.
After spending the afternoon searching for Benito's Treasure out at Queenscliff we stopped at a few caches along the road back to Geelong.
This was a very quick find but probably not the best one to be searching for at 5pm on a weekday. The traffic was continually backed up waiting for the lights at it took quite a while before I got a break long enough to retrieve the cache.
No swaps made.
Thanks roverman88
After spending the afternoon searching for Benito's Treasure out at Queenscliff we stopped at a few caches along the road back to Geelong.

Last find on my sneaky caching trip when I'm supposed to be shopping. Have done the shopping and now had better head home before the icecream melts. TFTC.
The third of three this evening after work. Quick find, thanks to roverman88 for this one. Log is nearly full - I used the back cover to leave my mark.
Easy find. A carpark full of hoons on a Friday night. Snails all over the cache. Took pog, left a left strechy snake. xxox
Travelling back from visiting the Great Ocean Road and visiting South Australia, had a fantastic trip.
Thanks very much for the cache.

Waited a while before Mr Bushies2 found it because a muggle was smoking near the cache. Thanks rovermann88.
When I told jsmyong55 that I was heading down to some night time caching east of Geelong he said he was in. Prior to leaving we worked on a few of the puzzles in the week before we left to make sure we could maximise our finds. I think in the end we ended up with about 45 for the night, so we were very happy with our efforts. In Geelong we met up with a local cacher, Bushfire and his caching stories amused us as we zipped between caches. This was one of the caches found tonight. The cache was exposed but now it is not. Thanks Roverman88 for the cache.

Finally its time for our Geelong night caching run. We had spent some time on preparing for this trip, solving the puzzles beforehand so that we were able to pick them off once we headed down here. We had another local cacher Bushfire come on board with us to do some caching too. He was one that I have had contact with via email but had not met up before. Nice ol' bloke he was. Almost all the caches he has cleared out the already so he left us to do what we came for while he watched. Travelling in between we exchanged stories of caching adventures, some of which are pretty amusing. In the end, we bagged around 45 and headed home tired in the wee hours of the morning.
This was one of our finds that night. We had found the cache and hid it better so it wasn't too exposed. TFTC roverman88

Found this one around lunch time. Good hide not far from main road but you get a bit of cover from the trees. Cache contents and log a bit damp. thanks roverman88 tnln
Quick, easy find with not too much traffic. Logbook still full and damp. TFTC
Found at 10.45 AM. Surroundings were dry, but cache internally was quite moist.
Log book is full.
