A quick 5 day trip to Darwin included finding this cache. This is my first trip to the northern territory and is my final state / territory in Australia to visit. The weather was certainly different to Tasmania. It is great to explore another part of Australia. Thank you for hiding and maintaining this cache. Found on 8 October 2024Thanks for the cache

A reasonably quick find on a hot afternoon. It was a pity we didnt check if there caches in the area when we walked by on our way to the end of the track! Thanks to Everlasting for the cache.

Found: 14.40This conservation area was high on our to do list, and when there, we of course went for this cache. It was an easy find on one of the hiking trails we wanted to do. It was very quiet in the park, with only few other people. On the other hand, there was an abundance of wildlife. Not far from the cache location we saw our first wallaby. It was hopping in front of us as if directing us back to the car park. Later on, at the end of the dam, we saw a whole herd of them.Out: nothing In: hedgehog and TB

Thanks for your wonderful cache.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and ninth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. We were heading out to watch the big lizards jump out of the river and the coach took us into here to go to the bird watching platform.
The disadvantages of being on a coach tour…….you can’t just ask the driver to stop so you can go looking for a cache.
We drove by, twice, and all I could do was stare out the window, wondering if only…..
This is why I am already planing my next trip to Darwin, on my terms ??
Watch this space.

Keep smiling ??

We would not have come in here had it not been for the caches. Nice spot, thanks for the hide.

We came to have a look around we were surprised that a lot of the lily's were browning off. We found this cache on the way and it took a bit of searching before we located.
Thanks for placing this cache

Found it after a nice day of bird watching at Fogg Dam. Thank you!

18-Feb-23
Love it! Visiting the area, popped by and did all the tourist-y things like driving across the dam and climbing up at the lookout on the other side. Height of wet season so the dam is full and loads of wildlife. Gorgeous area, but also lots of buggies, so bring the repellant.

Dropped in a TB as this is the bigger of the two caches here, and dry season is looming so hopefully there will be tourists in town soon who can pick it up and move it along.

Thank you for the cache, very impressed it's been here this long without being washed away!

26-Sep-22
On our last day we took a walk at Fogg Dam to find these two caches after driving across the dam wall. It’s an interesting eco-system for sure! This second walk was very different with the bird life and views across the lily pads. Also felt like a far flung corner of WA, being placed by EV and recently found by familysteiner, deefa71 and pood! TFTC!

16-Sep-22
Took us a while! A little paradise, right around here!! TfTC

02-Aug-22
We got up very early this morning and drove from Darwin to Fogg Dam. Aside from the noisy birds, it was very silent and we had the place to ourselves.
The walk was beautiful, and the geocache was a bonus. All good and well here with the hide!
Thanks Everlasting

04-Oct-21
We've never done a cache on a walk so fast due to the massive hordes of mosses and other biting bugs. We found the cache, signed the log and ran out of there. Just bad timing on our part otherwise the walk is very calming. TFTC

Great to be able to find a Geocache owned by a West Australian, before the distances changed:-))
Thanks Everlasting for placing this one here.
We camped out here in 1976, back in the day when it wasn’t on the tourist map.
I’ve always wanted to come back and see what it’s like nowadays.
The walk was amazing, the boardwalk constructions were a huge difference from days gone by when there was only a track.
I found your cache at the new coords, amazing to find it straight after familystiener, the guardian was still in place, not going to disturb that huge guardian

We traveled through Northern Territory for four weeks. We started the journey in Alice Springs and drove to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and then to Kings Canyon, MacDonnell Ranges, back to Alice Springs, to Devils Marbels, Katherine, Katherine Gorge, Kakadu NP and then further on to Darwin. On the way we found some caches. This was one of them.
Hier war es ganz schön heiß. Dafür haben wir auf dem Damm unsere ersten australischen Kraniche gesehen. Die Dose war gut zu finden, aber es stand Wasser in ihr! Ich habe es raus fließen lassen. TFTC!

After just getting off the Wetlands Cruise it was more than a little scary walking through swamplands not far from where we'd just seen crocs. Can't say about the DiMorgan team or MrG but MrsG was secretly selecting climbable trees every step of the way to this cache....and back! TFTC Everlasting and our thanks too to all the Darwin geocachers for showing us their wonderful area.

Darwin Day 8
Today we were with Geono & went out to the wetlands for a boat cruise.
A couple of caches found on the way there & on the way home.
What a good reason to place a cache, I also want to mention Corounaroad & Doodlebug Oz for the maintaining of so many caches in the Darwin area. After each wet season it must be a big job.
Thanks for placing this cache Everlasting
