Today I joined forces with chamad and geopup to collect some caches in 2 LGAs for a couple of challenges and to enjoy this beautiful part of our country. We stopped here and thought we'd give this multi a go after noticing a very enticing DT. We wandered around the bush for quite a while and finally found WP1 ... thanks to some guidance from previous logs. We knew the final GZ was going to be challenging, and it didn't disappoint. Shoes off, we walked across the river which wasn't deep but had a bit of force behind the running water. Geopup struggled so I carried her as well. That was the easy part! Up we went, we scrambled around for a while, I thought I'd check 'over there' and made the find. chamad was very close to it earlier, but didn't check 'over there'. After signing the log, we made our return journey a bit further up the river, but it was still quite a slippery crawl across. Loved the adventure with this one, a FP from me.Thanks Oz-Scotts for the cache.
Today was a fun caching day with Willis007 and geodog bella. The plan was to grab a few target caches around the scenic rim area and then continue to head off to the northern rivers area and grab a few numbers. With just a few on the list, it was easy to fill the day in further with a few extra caches as we passed by. The run for the target caches were for challenge caches in Brisbane that willis007 was working on. For me it was a nice day for a drive and a couple of interesting caches to collect along the way. While there was no pressure for the day's outing, we still managed to grab a few interesting caches and a nice tally for the day. We signed all logs and returned caches as we found them.It is a very interesting area around here and I enjoy just driving around and the views, awesome.Thank you for placing the cache here and bringing me to this area.OMGOODNESS! This was a fun little walk and the hide was even more interesting. It sure is a steep climb up for those 20 metres but it is worth the thrills. We walked across the raging river, very slowly and with caution , over the slimy loose rocks. this gets a favourite point from me.
About 8m from zero to the first wp for us.
Then I had the opportunity to get a leach off my leg before going in the water.
Took us some time to find the cache too.
Thank you for this cache

The way point was a bit of a search but we got there. Then it was across the creek and another long search before success. Thanks for the fun Oz-Scotts
Today, I joined Beardman75 and karicka for a hike in Springbrook, walking the Warrie Circuit, which included Springbrook Pinnacle. It has been a walk high on my priority list, but the motivation was realised with a recently published geocache with the [The Warrie Circuit - Springbrook National Park](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/5d5cba70-5ec5-4ea5-ba91-cedfc17ce6c7) Adventure Lab. Following the walk, we took a few more short walks in the area, which included Best of All Lookout and Forest Park / Nerang River.
Regarding this hike, we departed from the trailhead at Canyon Lookout just after 07:00 hr, and we ended up walking a total distance of 18.1 km across an elevation of 703 m, with a moving time of 4:15 hr. Despite that, we ended up getting back to the trailhead at 12:30 hr, hence a 5.5 hr walk, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/8425276366). The waterfalls were fantastic from recent rains, but it meant the lower elevation rainforest areas were damp and abundant with leeches. Despite these unpleasant bloodsuckers, it was still an enjoyable and scenic walk that I would highly recommend.
This was one of the last adventures of the day, and we initially wondered how its Terrain rating could have lived up this cache, but I think it did. We did find a fairly large goanna hunting around the park as we made out way to Waypoint 1, and he seemed to not be too concerned with our presence (enjoys grabbing food from visitors?). The clue at Waypoint 1 took about 10-15 minutes to hunt down, and the lantana and prickles around the place didn't make it an easy search either. Funnily enough, it took Beardman75 in making the clue find after both karicka and I had already searched the Waypoint 1 location and deemed it clear of the clue. We found the clue about 8-10 m away from the coordinates. Be also aware of vicious ants nearby too! We did find a pile of litter/rubbish behind a tree and about, so it was just a little disappointing to see human impacts here.
The coordinates for GZ made it apparent to us why this geocache had a high Terrain rating, and it wasn't too surprising where we needed to go given commentary from past logs. Shoes and socks were removed as we made the crossing (where a few more leeches were discovered from our morning's hike). A scamper along the creek's edge had us soon at the required coordinates, before reading the hint and noting a further 20 m scramble upwards. The group partially separated as we tried to use the cache name to guide us to the cache, but stump after stump provided trumps of a cache. More searching about the place, and I tried another area, where I saw a sign of a cache hide, making out a nicely sized ammo can hidden. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. My coordinates had the cache about 26 m away from the clue coordinates, and I would suggest an offset of S -0.005' E -0.014' incorporated. I also found it surprising that there wasn't any sign of the last couple of finders in the logbook? It was an original logbook and a quick check of past pages didn't seem to turn up a name, so I did wonder if there is a throwdown cache here? Consequently, it appeared that this cache hadn't been found for 773 days [25.4 months / 2.12 years] since its last find on 9/12/2020. Thanks Oz-Scotts for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 12/2008 hidden cache.

Headed south for an epic hike adventure ... only to be thwarted by a landslide closing the track. And not wanting to be 'that guy' - hike abandoned . So, with a bit of time to fill in now, I decided to head for some oldie caches in the Numinbah valley nearby - such as this one. Made my way towards the posteds and then set about hunting. Took a fair while before I finally stumbled upon a more likely option - albeit for me some 15m south of coordinates, but lots of bush cover here). Phew. New coords inserted and off I went.
With all the recent rain the crossing was what one would expect - barefoot and a lot wobbly in the strong current I inched my way across, and then gingerly up the bank and set about hunting for my elusive quarry. Ended up being a bit higher up than I had expected, and again a few metres off my coordinates - but all good in the end. The return journey went much the same, but all safe and dry (albeit a fair few scratches and cuts now). All part of an adventure.
Thanks Oz-Scotts for entertaining me at this location.

Found waypoint one, stumbling around my GPS kept telling me to go right and once I moved the desired metres once again I had to move right by 6m and so on for a few times the rivers still too high to cross without getting pretty wet, mild temps made that not appealing so unfortunately loggin a DNF maybe one day we will be able to complete it, who knows as we come from cairns region.
So good to turn this one around. Came searching yonks ago and couldn’t even find WP1. But with more wisdom and experience was able to locate both the coordinates and the cache. Right where I’d expect both to be. Last day of school celebration to knock this one off.
The creek is very low. Just walked across.
A very satisfying cache.

After successfully finding the coordinates, I sent one of the Bouys over to climb up..... but I wasn't sending my phone over with him. We will return and conquer another time.
I couldn't find the first WP... Is it even at the posted coordinates... what am I looking for?
While the others were a good few metres away, I was actually searching in the right spot for the waypoint, but still didn't see it. Eventually Swellerungus came over, searched for about 30 seconds in a spot slightly higher than where I had been looking and * faceplam * found the info straight off!
Leaving Seff to his one-man CITO, Stairman, Fungus and I headed off to GZ. Each of us finding our own way there, Fungus was well ahead and up the slope, and before I could say 'Please-try-not-to-injure-yourself-and-open-a-new-wing-of-the-Wesley-today-as-Lady-Sim-will-kill-us!' he'd found the cache. Our names in the log we made our way back to the car, Seff electing to follow our slightly lower terrain route back than the straight-line approach he'd taken to catch us up! TFTC

Well you have to earn the D/T rating on this one.
The first waypoint is a doozy, and it wasn't until we used the corrected coordinates in a previous log, that we even got close to this one. Eventually eagle eyes caught the namesake objective, and soon after a new set of coordinates to follow.
A nice path found, with a very easy creek crossing, and we got to GZ. Following the instructions we did the required scramble. Quite unusually I went high, while others looked low. I was lucky enough to make the find. Unfound for 18 months and still in very good condition inside and out. We signed the log and headed out.
As we passed by the picnic grounds we chatted to the Hungarian Militia Squad preparing a goulash to feed the masses. They had laid snares out on all the tables for anyone who would dare pinch one of the tables, as they were expecting the rest of the Australian/Hungarian Revolution Party to arrive in the next few hours. It was an uncomfortable chat to say the least, but I am now a paid up member.
Thanks for the cache - I did enjoy the challenge to it. Well played.

This is another one of those caches that I've been meaning to visit for some time but usually it's on the drive home after a long walk nearby and just can't manage to drag the body around any further. Today the team was running ahead of schedule to get Dez to work on time so we made the detour to this cache.
With only one phone loaded with the cache we were rather clueless as we search around the initial waypoint. I managed to get enough phone signal to read some previous logs and was rewarded with some adjusted coordinates to try. As I battled my way through the scrub I found an unexpected concentration of rubbish in a particular spot which I set about clearing up just as Swellerfungus located the required information.
Returning back to the car to deposit the refuse I had gathered, the rest of the team departed and it took me a while before I was able to locate them in amongst the long grass. Silly me headed straight through the wet grass (only to discover the well worn track the others had taken on my return journey). Swellerfungus unusually decided to play mountain goat today and was first to discover the cache. TFTC

First I would like to Apologies for the length of time it has taken for me to complete my logs.
I was in the area supervising a Scout hike from Apple Tree Park and was on the southside waiting for the Patrol. What better way to kill some time than to grab a cache or two. This was the Third Cache for the Day.
Having completed our check-in with the patrol and some course correction advise given, we moved to our next checkpoint, but first, there was time to grab another cache!
Finding the first waypoint took a bit of effort but I love a good bush bash through lantana, Lego51 found the waypoint and our return path was not the same way we came in but back towards the main road and around the lantana.
The attack on the final waypoint was great, in the heat of the day, it was great to cool off the feet before the final scrabble to GZ.
If it was not for this cache I would have missed this fantastic location. TFTC!

Joint effort with Tribre. What an effort on a warm day helping the scouts out during a hike in the area. Tftc
I had a really good around for WP1, around in circles getting attacked by the lantana. I read past logs, tried different spots but just couldn't spot it. I wasn't sure if I was searching for some numbers on something or a container so that didn't help.
Anyway, I gave up after 20 mins so decided to have a look for the final cache. I walked to the creek then scrambled up the slope behind it. I saw lots of perfect hiding spots but no cache. Oh well, it was fun anyway.

The story has been told by my intrepid 3 fellow geocachers, not sure I can add more to the delightful take told, this was a cache that was not what we expected when we arrived to find WP1. Thanks for the thrill. TFTC
My goodness this was the adventure of the day to say the least and by far the longest and hardest to find. Geo friends Aussie Liahona, DiamonJs & joojoo57 and myself all went scrub bashing and got heaps of lantana bush scratches even before finding the first WP. Once found, new co-ords were put into the GPS and we thought it would be a rather easy find for us until we realized where we had to go to up the creek. Once at GZ we then had to mountain goat it up this steep hill, slipping and sliding and getting filthy dirty with no prize in sight. Our caching senses had us poking in every likely hideout all the while watching out for the snake I had previously disturbed. Eventually after a PAF, we branched out a little and soon the cache was pulled out of its very well hidden spot. Trip back down the hill was quicker and we were all pleased to be back in the water to clean the dirt off us as we all looked a little worse for wear. Thanks Oz-Scotts for the cache and definitely a favorite point from me
Oh my goodness!!! A bit of trekking through some bush, and only a little lantana, we came across waypoint one with a neat little instruction for GZ. We then went ahunting for the cache by taking the usual way to the creek. What a great day for a swim!! The water was BEAUTIFUL!! Appreciated by a few visitors besides ourselves today but not where we needed to go. This was quite the challenge. The sharp eyes of SnickersAllen spotted a snake as we were about to approach GZ. From there it was up there? over there? in here? behind that? under this? all the while watching out for our safety. I mean, what's a bit of dirt, water, scratches, cuts and bruises when you are hunting caches?! EVENTUALLY, with an uncertain remembrance from a PAF we were able to locate the cache which was found in good condition. So nice to find this elderly cache and get our smilie. Many thanks Oz-Scotts for an unusual cache hunt. I definitely want to give this a favourite point for the challenge. Cheers and Happy New Year! [^]
WOW what an adventure this was. Even for WP1 our GPS and phones took a while to settle - maybe due to the amounts of rocks around the picnic area. After WP1 was found we ventured down to the creek and today there were a few people cooling off from the high temperature today. After much searching Snickersallan gave out the well earned - got it! Aussie Liahona celebrated with a few scratches to remember the search. All made it back to the cool of the geocar's A/C! Thanks Oz-Scotts.
As part of an annual pilgrimage to a camp at Bornhoffen at this time of year, I have taken note of the caches along this road and found most of them. This one seemed like it would take a lot more effort than most so I've dodged it. Today I was feeling a bit lucky, so decided to give it a spin.
The logs made alarming reading but I figured I would just take it step by step.
After parking, the arrow seemed to be pointing in a weird direction, so I went through a handy gap in the fence and followed a strange kind of trail to an area which didn't seem to offer much, but the logs told me that taking on lantana was likely. I was first obsessed with a strangely crossed pair of logs or stumps on the ground, but I couldn't make them talk to me. Then I went to tree after tree, went over lantana, went under lantana, before finally realising the cache title might be significant. I suddenly spotted a stumpy object which looked just perfect for a WP hider. But I couldn't see anything on, in or around it. I couldn't believe it. Then I saw there were three of these little man made stumps in a row! But none told me anything. I returned to the weird crossed logs and this time headed in the other direction. Almost immediately, I knew I was looking at the right spot, and so it proved.
All I can see is that this area made my phone move and move and move, so even though the WP was at .638/.747 when I checked, it wasn't there a minute later. I guess if you have found the little logs on the ground, you are just a few metres away.
Now I had to decide if I wanted to go for the final. It had been a rather long and hard search so far, and I guess I felt compelled to give it a shot. The fact I was wearing my best jeans, good casual shoes and a T-shirt didn't seem to register too clearly as I set off.
The two other cars in the car park had gone so I was happy to know my antics would be private, however as I stood on the edge of the pounding white water considering my next move, I turned around to see a woman leaving who had clearly just walked pretty quietly past me behind my back. Creepy!
After preparing, I leapt across across the water with only slightly wet shoes to show for it. Then it was time for the final phase where I made life much harder than it had to be by going up and across, rather than along and up. I was soon quite dirty and, yet again, bleeding from numerous scratches to my arms and neck. With a stick, I poked numerous spots which would have been great for hiding an ammo tin, but nothing resulted. I struggled to understand the hint: why not just give the actual coords? Anyway, thankfully, I soon found a likely spot and yes, it is indeed about 20m due West of the given coords. I was delighted to have found this old cache after a good physical challenge, and getting down again, and then back across the water without injury, was also part of the adventure.
I don't often give Favourite points to caches which I put on my 'special' list but I'm doing it today. TFTC and PS: the cache was found by muggles in May but thankfully they just signed the log and left it intact.

We found it! The waypoint was really difficult to find, and yes the thorns have scratched us pretty bad, but hey if we would have looked in the right spot from the beginning it would have been easier.
Our first actual ammo box cache!
Thanks for sharing this spot! We are now heading back to the river bank for some play. TFTC!

I had looked for WP1 here before so today with brother called in again and wouldn't you know it he goes, here it is in a flash.Seeing he found that he gave me the hard work up the hill which took a bit of time at the wrong area but got it eventually.Lots of swimmers today on a hot sunday avo.TFTC.Oz-Scotts.
A fun day out with Monkey Maker and K8'n'Co. We had come off pages Pinnacle and needed to steer Monkey Boy to a picninc area so we could spring his monkey Birthday cake on him. Luckily he wanted to do this cache so it was perfect. We had cake and beer then went in search of waypoint one. Had to avoid some disgusting landmines and no, they were not left by dogs. Took a bit of bashing around but we got there in the end. Luckily for us the creek was nice and low so it was an easy rock hop to the other side. Took a while to find the final but luckily we had legendary Mr Co for that. Thank you Oz-Scotts for placing and maintaining this cache
I tried to find this one this morning but there was some people sleeping in there car near wp1. So I didn't even bother getting out of the car.
After our little walk we headed for the park to have some lunch and cake. I mentioned to the rest of the group about this one so off we went. We searched for ages at wp1, I even looked at the spot and didn't see it but thankfully they other guys don't have painted on eyes. Off to GZ. Whoo hoo, no water, well very little anyway. We managed to rock hop a small section then the next search began. We were all crawling over the hill side litle ants but it was K8'n'Co that came up with the find and the rest is history.
Cheers Oz-scouts

My first visit to this spot was over 12 months ago, and on that occasion I spent a considerable amount of time looking around and around for the first WP without any success.
So a few months ago I did drive through the carpark again with a thought of making a visit well that did not happen as the two rather undesirable cars in the car park with some strange looking people nearby turned me off even stopping. After this I brought the cache up with some previous finders at an event and well nothing for certain but I knew it was likely still there.
So I had to visit the Gold Coast for another specific cache find and I figure why not head over and take a look, determined to find something. Well I eventually got into a fairly similar spot to the last time I was here, I did take the longer way to try and avoid the Lantana. Soon enough I was in a spot that worked and I looked and looked nothing, tried the second alternative spot I had figured. Nope nothing there either. So back to the first and a much closer inspection and something caught my eye, and sure enough the coords were there right in front of me.
So with new coords and knowing what I had to do it was off with the shoes and across the water for me. It was not to cold, actually almost pleasant to wade on through. Once on the other side the challenge was figuring out where to go, and it was up and down and round about in circles. I spent a good 20 minutes back and forth before reading some logs and getting a little idea on where I might be looking. Sure enough a few minutes later I come across the right spot and found the container in almost mint condition even after having been out here for over 7 years, and almost two years since the last visitor.

I had some plans in mind today and wanted to do a few more finds that were not just drive by traditionals.
So I was interested when I saw this icon only a little way south of where I was going. I park int eh empty parking lot and approached the search area. This was the spot that it all went wrong, the Lantana, well it started attacking, every step seemed to pull another bit from somewhere else, anyway I fought on to what could bet he area of the posted coords. But it was bouncing around like crazy.
I tried a second approach from another angle with the same results. Soon a check of some logs and some other coords offered I tried them. Thankfully less Lantana where they were having me look but still the circles. I think I almost coloured in the screen of the GPSr.
Anyway sadly WP1 went unfound for me today, and even still without coords for the final, I wandered over to take a look at the nice calm creek, I could have been crossing had things been different. Maybe another day.

After my little walk up a nearby hill I just HAD to come back to this one.
Last time I was here the 'creek' was a raging, white water river any rafter would love.
Today it was only knee deep.
I quickly found WP1 again and swapped to more appropriate footwear and headed to GZ.
Ahhhh! the hint certainly helped.
Finding the right track up also helps.
I found the cache eventually and headed back across that 'raging' creek.
Thanks for the cache. A fav point.

I turned up to find another car in the carpark. Great! The owners of said car were sitting by a massive fire they had going which looked like was under cover. Probably not a good idea but anyway I headed off looking for wp1. My gps had me going in circles so I had to pull the pin. After reading past logs now and knowing you have to cross the creek, it wasn't going to happen anyway as the creek was more like a raging river. Unpassable.
Thanks anyway Oz-Scotts
Thanks anyway Oz-Scotts
Out on a Freaky Friday with teamdfl. She was keen to get this one as last time she was here the river was apparently a raging torrent and couldn't be crossed Today there was only a gentle creek! However, we had to start from the beginning as she hadn't kept the details from WP1 The lantana made it a very difficult search Then with appropriate footwear applied we made our crossing and took the awkward scramble to the cache. dfl led the way so made the find. A very undignified descent happened for both of us; very slippery indeed. TFTC, Oz-Scotts.
Another freaky Friday with IolantheK. Last time I was here the creek was raging. Much nicer this time. I had not kept the info from the WP, so we had to do it all over again ;-/ WP1 collected. A quick change to more suitable footwear and we were off. On my previous visit there was water from bank to bank, today the creek was only a few metres across. A quick scramble and hunt at GZ soon found us a cache
Passing through, we thought this seemed a good cache to attempt. We definitely took the more adventurous route to WP1 and after quite a search we found the well hidden spot . . . and a better route out! Looking like we'd had a razor fight we set off the for cache. Ahhhh, that creek was so soothing to the wounds. A bit of a scramble, cleared a tree from the "path" and we had the cache. TFTC Oz-Scotts, a definite favourite for including the therapeutic properties of the creek.
Keen to get another high terrain cache today so we parked in the empty carpark and headed off to waypoint 1. Thought we had found the 'easy' way but getting close, we still had plenty of lantana to fight with . Scratched and sweaty, searched around the area but no success. It was starting to get dark and on reviewing our options, decided to get a hint from a previous finder. Soon we were off and up . No incidents and in no time, the cache was in hand. Then we were off to Natural Bridge. Thanks Oz-Scotts
Quite the adventure! We followed the waypoints to GZ, and happily I'd got wet earlier in the day so this didn't really faze me . We picked our way carefully toward GZ while those who'd found it previously sat and laughed at us. With that first obstacle cleared, we looked in dismay at the final obstacle, but then shrugged and went at it. It surely is a hard one to get to, but with determination, many trees and lots of mud and dirt, we managed to arrive in mostly one piece at GZ and found the cache guarded by a lizard, which nearly had us sliding straight back down the slope! Extra thanks to Mr Hilton for his river assistance . TFTC, Oz-Scotts! =^.^=
After doing a group hunt up the creek, we thought we give this one a go on the way home. After taking the wrong route through the Lantana and getting all cut up, we got to the first WP. With the clue in hand we headed to GZ. We managed not to get too wet and climbed the hill to the Cache only to be meet by a local resident hiding in the Caches location (a frill neck lizard). After Paul disturbed it, It got more of a fright than I did and shot up over my leg and ran down the hill nearly collecting Janet and Whint. We singed the log and headed back. TFTC.
I had been here before but had been unable to locate wp1. Today after visiting a few nearby caches I tried again with a couple of other cachers. With a successful find of wp1 we set off across the creek. This is no easy task as the rocks were rather slippery. Upon reaching the far bank we began the climb. Again this is not as easy as it seems. We eventually made it to the top and quickly spied the cache location. We waited until everyone arrived before retrieving the cache. I removed the rock covering the cache hole and reached in to grab the cache. It seemed stuck. I pulled some more then all I could see was a large reptilian tail waving around at a rate of knots. Suddenly a large lizard sprang from the hole and ran over the next cachers feet and headed downhill towards the water.
After a moment to catch our breath we signed the log and headed down.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache.

Last one for the day after hanging out with the team grabbing some great hides inland We made our way over the brook... very pretty down here thats for sure I enjoyed making some splashes in the creek too {OK a little childish} it was a lovely cache to end a great day on

Out and about with teamdfl today for a day of caching.
We parked nearby and were off to find the Way point. We eventually found a likely looking 'path' that seemed to head in the right direction and eventually found the way point. We headed off towards the cache and the 'little' creek was roaring it's way down the hill. Water from one bank to the other. We took one look at each, called each other wusses and got back in the car. Might wait for the wter level to go down about a meter or more before going over there.
Thanks for the cache, looked fun.

Yeah Brother Colin pretty much said it all. Except I did not call him a wuss. I'm pretty sure I said he was a big girl ;-D No doubt we will be back sometime.
For future finders.. I just checked this one and didn't realise the impact my log had. I can assure you I did not take the most intelligent route back to the bank and went off on a tangent.
I was actually at this spot again over Easter and the floods have done the area good. There is no sign of stinging nettles here any longer, just some long grass and the usual opportunistic little plants. It's a great cache, I fell victim of my own over-adventurousness and found the only small patch there was then. As usual, just keep your eyes open and go get this one.

I felt your pain, Captain Terror, just reading the log was enough for me. I can fall over just standing upright (ask Aussie Liahona) so will put this one on the back burner for now.
Sitting looking at gz thinking this is not for us based on the last log.

This cache will forever be burned into my memory. After trekking several kilometres up the road for some walky caches, we regrouped here for afternoon tea and to grab this cache. While my GPS floundered around being useless the previous finders in the group, Herbz, Fangsoki and Radnoski pointed Doshell, Stairman and I in the right direction. As I was tangling myself in lantana again the waypoint was found. Co-ords entered and we were off to claim our find. On the way herbz found himself a large python that we all admired before pressing on. I tried to keep my feet dry as we crossed the creek, but the rocks were far too slippery. Hence, I have found out that my boots are very far from waterproof. Arrived at co-ords, read hint and the three of us blasted up the hill to start our hunt for the cache. Doshell was the lucky one and we all signed our name. Ungracefully I slid/fell down the hill and crossed back over the creek. Upon arrival on the other side though, already covered in lantana scratches, two ticks and some blisters from the previous walk, I tripped and fell smack into a large stinging nettle. Pain like I have never known before. both hands, wrists, arms up to the elbows, stomach and back were all covered. Ended up basically taking a swim to take the edge of the pain. Not a great ending, but a great cache in a great spot. TFTC and a favourite of mine.
Well I am back again. A lot more luck this time. Had a few helpers after doing another nearby cache, and thought I would get a hand with this one. The first Wpt gave us a bit of grief It looks like stumpie must have moved a bit, the gps had me looking else where by about 9 meters and the lantana is doing its best to give some camouflage. The clues were retrieved and off to get the cache. Bit of a scramble for this one and located a very good conditioned cache. A long time between signatures. Hope a few more frequent visitors now.
A great cache
Thanks Oz-Scotts

Happy new year. Sadly after crawling through the lantana and searching all likely spots we came up empty handed. Maybe Oz-Scotts needs to check if it is still there due to the recent wet weather.
Wasn't till I parked the old horse and cart did I realise the nature of this one. I'd been doing a nice drive up the valley grabbing the roadside caches and this appeared to be a roadside cache.
I decided to have a look at what was involved and thought I may be able to grab WP1 and return when I was better prepared for GZ. Shorts and tee shirt are not recommended for WP1.
After stumbling around the bush for 30 minutes I was beaten by time and headed off. This is definately one I'd like to return to.
Returned home with 2 friends (A pair of ticks) Easily removed and many scratches. All part of the fun.

Normally I hate lantana and blackberries......I still do but I ignored it and pushed on [:(!] Found WP1 before too long. But I had to look twice second time without sunnies on . Off to the second.....water was warmer than I thought it would be some muggle families thought I was strange all the same. On the other bank, shoes back on, made it without being seen.......[^]. Now to get out of here!! [:o] almost a complete slide into the water. Shoes off again and back over the creek in time to watch two Goannas fighting over the picnic ground rights. photo of the winner attached.
Found with Radnoski... a bit more than expected but its good to get it conquered. This was an excellent team effort. TFTC
Wow!!! Thanks for the challenge. I am glad we stopped in this nice little park. We may have to return one weekend with some snags for the BBQ.
After searching for the cache for a while at the final GZ, we read the clue and then were on our way to the cache. TFTC.
I left a donkey. (I had a mountain goat in the car.... maybe this may have been more appropriate)
I grabbed the shiny silver US dollar.

We're only new at this, and it wasn't until later in the day we were thinking, 'that was an excellent place, not sure why the coordinated didn't match, or why there isn't a log book or anything, oh well ... hang on a minute - oh you idiots!!!!' will return to complete on our next trip though : - )
Finally, on my third attempt the elusive WP1 was tracked down. This was a great WP, well put together. After much fruitless searching I suddenly starting thinking with a Geocaching brain and thought about the name of the cache. This lead me to the cunningly hidden WP1 and the next co-ords. Once this was in hand, after a good hour mind you, I was off to cross over the creek for the main event. Even though the creek was in full flood I was not about to let this cache defeat me a third time. So I sucked it up and got very wet and nearly swept down stream for a while! There was still half an hours scrambling around to triangulate the final cache but it was well worth the effort. As a bonus the Geocoin that was listed in the inventory was actually present. So I helped myself to this and left a 1978 American silver dollar in its place. All in all a great cache. Thanks to the architects!.
found today, took awhile due to being unsure weather there was a 2nd wp but i guess there isnt, nice place might come back for a swim
took knuckle
left geocoin

on note of todays find i was badly cut by lanatana,
can you please add some Attributes to this cache so cachers can be more perpaired for what they are faced with

Argh, found WP1 this time, but the cache eluded me... might have been a bit fatigued after 8 hours of high terrain caching...
This was real easy. I could'nt find the 1st waypoint so headed for the only crossing and spotted an obvious slide down the bank where cachers have been before.
Found the way point, but not the cache.
Mobile phone fell outa my pocket sliding down steep slope.
Realized it was gone 3 hours later.
Went back..woot..found it.But still not the cache.
lol

Well what more can we add after what has already been said, other than we have the photos to prove the fun had by all even the one GhostGums had hoped was missed After following Lat & Long Junkie's lead up the hill, the cache was quickly found, log hurriedly signed and conspiring to have it re-hidden before the remainder of the Milestone Mayhen Mob arrived at GZ Unfortunately they were upon us before we could leave GZ Then the fun really began - being some of the first to descend, we were able to get those photos some might wish were not posted TFTC and a great time.
Found in the company of the MMMob, fun was had by all here today. Firstly locating WP1 was a hike into some very nasty bush and then a creek crossing and finally ascending a hill and descending said hill. Thankfully I came away with dry feet and clean jeans. It wasn’t easy. Still all in all a very memorable cache that I think we all enjoyed. TFTC.
Clearly the most entertaining cache of the day!! Found as part of MMMob. I heard there was a creek crossing involved, so I thought I would be clever and take my boots off and put my thongs on, however approaching WP1 Mrs Herbz said.. oohhh be carefull of jumping ants, however Mr Herbz assured me they wouldn't be a problem today, so I pressed forward. 30 Seconds later yeeeeooowww!!! Not feeling so clever now. hmmm, will think twice next time about Mr Herbz advice??
More entertainment on the creek crossing as several of the party slipped and slided across, many a wet boot was seen.. OK, feeling a bit clever again??
The steep slope up provided more entertainment, however the most entertainment was the way down, as a few in the party made the "wise" decision to slide down (they shall remain nameless to protect the innocent). Needless to say, this proved very entertaining, especially for those spectating.
Thanks for the challenge.

With Milestone Mayhem Mob - this was one hilarious cache - not so much the cache as the antics of some of the Mob getting back down the hill - hey Ms Wig and kiploc
No damage was done to any geocachers in the finding of this cache - dirty clothes and wet feet maybe, but no damage SL. TFTC Oz-Scotts

*tries to look innocent* I guess I can't though - the entire Milstone Mayhem Mob saw it as I was the last to descend.... with significant lack of control.... GPS survived even though I landed on it!
Great cache! Thanks a lot!
Great cache! Thanks a lot!
What a great spot for a chache and some frivolity WP1 was a tad interesting with jumper ants, cachers doing 'spider dances' (read ant dance) and a few tick hitch hikers . And you thought the excitement was over.....fording the stream was fine even if it was a tad slippery for some, scrambling upwards.....cache found - TFTC. Now the fun starts - you have to get down somehow - the slalem event begins There were a few dirty bottoms, grazed arms and legs after this one. All arrived back at the streams edge safely to begin the reverse treck. No spills into the water but much fun was had by all.
This cache had it all. Jumping ants, lantana, a hard-to-find WP1, creek crossing, cliff face assault and several hilarious falling-down-the-hill moments. Found the cache with Mr JustATrifle and tried to re-hide it before the rest of the fabulous 14 arrived. We nearly made it, too . TN/LN/SL. Beautiful spot, but we had a full agenda of caches so left the area soon after re-crossing the creek.
Found as part of Milestone Mayhem Mob - this one still has me laughing, thanks to all of those who were kind enough to take plently of pics of me on my butt sliding down, graceful is just not in my vocabulary I'm afraid A huge thankyou to GhostGums for ummmm 'catching' me on the way down To think I was worried about ending up in the drink when all the while it was the dirt that bit me (or is that I bit it ) Not sure I'll listen next time when 1/2 of Team Herbz tells me - 'just slide down on your butt' SURE ......
Had no trouble finding WP1 once I got past the lantana and other nasty vegetation.
Now off to find the cache. Got across the other side of the creek and easily got to GZ. Well that was easy for a Terrain 4. Hmmm, something about it being another 20 metres,w ell thats not far. Then saw Mr Long&Long Junkie 20 metres away and mostly vertical. scrambles to the top and found the cache even though it was hidden again.
Decided to take the easy way, well it looked easy. I of course came down gracefully unlike some of the others . You of course slide down gracefully.
At the bottom had a close encounter with PigWig2 who was on a but of a thrill ride . Glad no one took any photos because that could have looked embarassing.
Anyhow quite a lot of fun was had retrieving that one.

Found in the Company of the Milestone Mayhem Mob. Mr Herbz knew the location as he was present when the cache was first hidden so he sent Mrs Herbz across the torrent and up the slippery slope after finding w.p.1. After much slipping, sliding and other silliness with the mob the cache was found. Good fun, lots of laughs, muddy bottoms and wet feet! TFTC Oz-scotts.
Dropped in on the way to a nearby waterfall.
Waypoint 1 had that look of a needle in a haystack [:o]
After 10 or so waypointless minutes it became clear that this hunt was going no further
OK!! I'll admit it. I didn't want to go for a swim today

Checked out WP1 for the Oz-Scotts as we were passing, having just done JamieMul's "Up the Creek" cache.
WP1 is definately still there although a little overgrown since it was placed (we know cos we were there when the Oz-Scotts hid it!).
Your GPSr will ping around a bit in this wooded area so it's hard to get a good fix. If the published coords don't seem to get you there. Try these:
S28 07.638 E153 13.751
Definately worth a shot if you in the area - this is an excellent cache and needs more attention. Don't be put off by earlier logs - it's not that hard - you don't need special equipment or ropes!

My GPS placed me in a spot where the clue could not possibly apply. Lots of scratches form Lantana and Wait-a-whiles but no cache.

I reckon this is a Terrain 5: Special Equipment Required! I'll have to return better prepared, and not at dusk on my own...
