The area was hit by fire and as we haven't had a great amount of rain the vegetation is taking a little while to grow back.
As soon as it does a new cache will be in its place.

Hi. I would say this has definitely been burnt. Found tree, found rock and a spring which I'm guessing is the remains of a pen. Also found a dog tag which I can mail to you if you like.
Looks like this one may have been lost in the recent fires.
I'll give it a few weeks for the area to settle then see if I can put another in it's place.
It would be a shame to archive it as it's a nice view...on a good day.

Looks to be a victim of a recent fire. Pretty bare near GZ and little sign of where it might have been.
I offered to so a drive around after the fire and look at any caches that could possibly be burnt and unfortunately I think this one may have been.
Hopefully it is all fine but I thought I would let you know.

Just noticed had been found by muggles, they wrote message in log ..... Thankfully they left it in one piece
Why? Why the heck not!?
I always say unless you've been explicitly told 'No', then assume the answer is a 'Yes'.
Net88 and I in past trips have thought about doing this walk, but never made the effort. One day there was a van parked in the parking area and swaying to the motion of the oceans. Hmm..
Today however, I saw this interesting D/T rated icon on the road ahead and suggested we take the plunge. Why not? We pulled up in the vacant space and I noted this looks awfully like the remnants of an old road that is no more. With GPSr and pen at the ready, we headed off up the track. It was short and sharp and enjoyable. Once up the top we did indeed take a few moments to admire the view., picking out what each feature out there was.
Onto the geocache, I headed down towards GZ and after the GPSr settled down, I made the find. All in good condition here, so we signed the logbook, lifted the TB out before replacing as found. Now just back down to the car. A nice spot to visit this afternoon. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC bedmaker

I can't even count how many times I have driven past this cache. Even when I have known it was there, there was always something stopping me. Whether I was just being lazy, I had run out of time or the couple of occasions where I have turned up and there have been cars with horrible bouncy suspension already parked there.
Today however the Captain and I were going to get this cache no matter what. I parked the car and we were soon heading up that hill towards GZ. When we got to the top I was surprised at how good the view was. We split up to find the cache and the Captain and his long legs got there before me... naturally.
He called me over and we signed the logbook and grabbed the trackable out of the container before replacing it as found. Thanks for the cache bedmaker. I am glad that I have finally found it

Sneaky little cachy, where is my precious, there you are....... My precious!!!
What a scramble! Tricky one this one! Must be worth leaving some good cache in exchange for the workout! TFTC!
GPS had us going down the wrong track, we zero'd in then realised we were a long way in the wrong direction.
Great views. Thanks for the cache. oh and the puffing up another hill! out with Team Bad 4306 and Flora the explora.

When I arrived at the parking location it started to rain, so I headed up to where I am staying and changed into caching clothing suited to the challenge ahead. When I returned the rain had stopped and made a easy trip up the hill, and quickly located the cache. Exchanged TB's and took in the stunning views, thanks.
Struggling up the hill. Talking on the phone , walking and breathing hmmm. I am not good at multi tasking . The view is pretty impressive though. Dropped off a travel bug
Unfit us puffing up the hill haha. Found it after a bit of wandering, and used the clue. Left bouncy ball
had fun scrambling up the mountain but decided to take the mountain bike track back to the road. certainly an impressive view. Thanks
Found after giving up TFTC

Picked an arbritrary point and Started climbing, not ideal because I ran into a patch of Lantana (I think) slogged on through that until i found the trail. Found the cache in good order. TFTC
Took us a while to figure out how to get in there, but we soon found the right entrance and the right track. Walked past another person sitting on a chair on the path enjoying the views and said "hi". Went off the track for a little bit when we saw the geotrail, and it led us right to the cache. Nice hide, and another amazing view over the lake from up here. TFTC bedmaker.
Gorgeous view! LOL we had issues finding where to park for this cache but soon found somewhere suitable. Walking along a trail we soon came across a muggle sitting down enjoying the view. Matt soon found a geotrail and the cache . All is good with the cache . Found with Matt_Eth . TFTH bedmaker .
Out with teamdfl on a Wacky Wednesday We were pondering on the best way into this one when we finally spotted the mtb track. That made the climb a lot easier than we expected. The co-ords were spot on. TFTC, bedmaker.
Why not? Out on a Whacky Wednesday with IolantheK. Walked up a very nice mtb trail on the way to GZ. A quick hunt at the top. A gander at the view and off again
I see that I am not the only one who likes hiding caches on top of hills After getting the nearby Catweazle cache I trudged up to this one. The view here is great and I had to admire it before getting down to business. GZ is getting a bit overgrown but thanks to the rock the cache was soon found. All in good condition, TFTC Mr Bedmaker
It had been a long days caching already, and looking up the hill I thought to myself how well I was going to sleep tonight It was only a short trek but one sure enough to get the heart pumping. Reaching the summit I soon knew "why". Lovely area with some pretty views.

Parked the car near a cottage and took off up the hill. 2.5 star terrain rating my butt
Enjoyed the scramble, glad I'm fairly fit and it hasn't rained in the last week. Opened the hint to help the find. Tried a few tree and rock combinations as the GPSr settled, but eventually found the cache. Enjoyed the view for a moment then went back to the car before someone stole my gear.
Looks like a few mountain bike tracks up here, might have to investigate!
TFTC bedmaker! Also found your tribute cache today.

This cache has fascinated me for a long time.... but each time I drove past it I didn't have the energy.... however, this day was different and I set off. It was surprisingly easy, and yes great views from up there. Cache found quickly, then a moment to enjoy the views.
Thanks bedmaker, great spot!!

Woot ! Found after a bit of a scramble at 6:40. In the morning. In winter. In breaks between rain showers. That's how I roll! Didn't have my Garmin on me, so took me a bit longer with the phone app. Cache is fine and dandy, and views at sunrise are good! Thanks for the early morning adventure!
Came up the hard way and down the easy.Oh and I left a TB.
Now off to have a shower and check for ticks

Found some interesting small tracks in to avoid the gathering of MTBike-muggles at the most likely approach to the cache.
Easy find after a nice trip to get there. Watch our for those mountain bikers though!!

Pity about all the weeds that are encraoching on the bush. Nice little walk and the view is pretty good as well.
First day of a new month, and my slide towards OZ MEGA next weekend continues. Nine hundred and something finds so far, should slide in with ease to the one thousandth being the MEGA.
Sigh, another bush climb - I found a more sensible way down back along the road a bit - although the sign warning me to be careful of lost munitions in the area was a bit disconcerting after I'd finished.
The Yellow Shield Ant - Meranoplus Myrmicinae - is a distinctive insect that are pretty to look at. There are lots of them under and around this cache. Luckily I saw them first, and didn't get bit.
The Bush Tick - Haemaphysalis longicornis - is a bloodsucking, external parasite that is often encountered by people during activities in the Australian bush. Brought one home attached to my neck.
I also grabbed the TB to take to Albury. Lots of things to collect here.
And the view was stunning. The mountain climb was worth it for that.

Found by Team Micra. Nice easy one and what a view. Was nice to get out and take in the sights of the area. Left travel bug and stretchy man. TFTC
Hot on the heels of Team Micra. No visits in the log book for two months and then here I am visiting 20 minutes after others =) maybe next time we'll meet.

Decided to spend this glorious New Year's Day with a spot of caching. Yes, it is there! And it's a damn good view from the top, too! Was sure we were going to tumble when retrieving the cache but managed it without incident (well, almost - I'm sure the ants were surprised).

Had a day off work and what better way to spend it than doing a cache run in the Samford Valley and surrounds. Nice quick find Being the middle of a very hot day this climb felt like an Everest but the breathtaking view at the top made it worth while. TFTC
Its been years since I've been up this way. Used to come parking here in my teens.
Glad I don't have to maintain this one. Another of the bedmaker caches done and dusted..

It’s taken quite a while to get back out here after I tried this one back in March when there was a lot of thick grass, etc. around GZ. A lot less around now and the cache was easy to spot. Still great views from the top of the hill.

It seems someone has mowed a track very near GZ....so I followed it....Doh.
Started again and soon found the cache.

Found after a short search and a steep hike up the hill. Shame there is a bit of litter in this great location. TFTC.
well there are two ways to get to this one... we took the longer way still a good walk, geoson was a bit daunted at the climb! left a mini shoe horn, just in case.
Found this one after grabbing the one across the road first. The short walk up the hill is just my style …. not too big, but big enough to get the blood pumping. GZ doesn't seem so overgrown at the moment …. i spotted one of the clues from 5 or 6 meters away. Thanks for making me walk up this great little hill bedmaker, & TFTC
Found with help from clues. Nice bushwalk. Took tazo, left a ninja. Beware of snakes in area. Bit of bushbashing required. Great views.
Area is quite overgrown, but after a little searching found cache in good order. Great views of lake above GZ. TFTC
Wandered up here yesterday to check on this after the last couple of DNF's.
The good news is it's still there, bad news is the area is quite overgrown.
Some ground cover had actually grown over the cache so no wonder it was hard to pinpoint.
I guess all that rain has really helped things along up here.
I've added another little hint that hopefully may make it a little easier to locate.

Great climb. I went up via the Pineapple Break and down via the Lodge Break to make a nice 6km hike. Route here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/77483973
Couldn't find the cache. I looked in all the obvious places. The grass is about 2m high now, and as I was hiking solo I didn't want to disturb any brown snakes. I'm not the best finder (Mrs Tyger is much better than me) so I won't presume to say the cache is missing, but if the next visitor can't find it, it might be worth double checking that the cache is where you left it.
Clear Mountain is a wonderful place

Great walk to the top of the hill and great views once you get there. Not so great having to get through about 5m of cobbler's pegs to get to GZ – then no cache. Very thick grass and it’s difficult to see anything at ground level. As it hasn’t been logged since late November, perhaps it time for the owner to have a check.
Thanks for the walk anyway.

the cache i found was fun! everyone said that the clew was not very helpful but all i went to look for a cache under a rock i saw a rock under that looked like a burnt tree. i couldn't see any thing under it but i looked because it was a big cream rock under a tree. Posted by Hannah.

More than a little ably assisted with my great nephew Jack who we have intoduced to the wonderful world of geocaching!
One of a few for the afternoon and one of the more challenging. Bit of a climb and took a few minutes wandering around aimlessly before I got a fix on it. In the end a relatively easy find and worth the walk. Lovely spot. TFTC
why why why why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow hard walk up to hill.PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hide well
Why? because we liked it!!! TFTC took 2000 coin and left precious photo. Steep walking but loved the view.
Nice walk to find this one. Magic views from the area. Dropped off geocoin that I'd picked up in Tassie. Thanks bedmaker!
After a short walk up a steep hill the cache was found quickly. Absolutely loved the view from here.
Thanks for bringing us here Bedmaker

Really enjoyed the walk to this cache with clankirks and LeadNinja and the spectacular views were icing on the cake. Thanks Bedmaker.
Alkzura and I took the hard way up on the way to the cache, found it quickly, then took the easy way down. TFTC
NyletaM and I decided to take the road less travelled to get to this one.
Why?..... Who knows? But the view was great! And worth the extra effort
to get there. Cache was easily found.

First cache ever! Loved the off the road trek. After much mistrust of the iphone we eventually took a gamble and found the spot! Very happy Geokids! Views of lake were great and loved the big trees around, perfect spot to build a house. Geokids were not prepared TNLN! TFTC SL.
Found it on a fun day of caching with sniffme and big dave. was puffing a bit by the time we got to the cahe. TFTC.
A fun caching drive through here - at last somewhere to place a TB. Dropped off Christmas TB (to travel 'North')
Spotted by Palopinto, whose eyes locked onto most of the caches we found today very quickly. Nicely hidden. We missed the path and went down the wrong trail first, oh well, we both needed the exercise. Though the terrain was a little bit of a challenge with 10kg of GeoToddler strapped to my back! We enjoyed the aroma around GZ (what _is_ that plant?) There was a heap of rubbish around, so we made the trek back to the Geomobile with arms full of junk. TFTC Bedmaker, this was a great hide!
Nice energetic walk to get to this one! Sadly, the area was littered with cans, bottles, rubbish. I was surprised to see so much trash so far into the bush. We came out with as much as we could carry. CITOTFTC
Happy birthday again, EngPhil

What better reason than "just because it's there". For a hill or a cache! Wet view so limited views, but enjoyed it anyway. TFTC
Found with Stealth Seeker. Beautiful views. This hill was nothing compared to one we tackled later in the day. Thanks for the journey.
at 12:55. The GPSr kept changing is mind. We generally accept this but it was not too good when it kept leading up and down and along the side of a steep slope, especially when one is rather over the hill.
TFTC Bedmaker. It is in good order.

Cracking views... taking 6 geokids up the hill may have been a little adventurous though. TFTC!
Chuckles asleep so one of the 'co' decide to brave it alone... just about run out of steam by the top! This hill is nasty! Great view, a little off the beaten tracks so was scared of snakes! But I survived to cache another day.

Only one biker, but he took at least three trips form top to bottom we while we were there.
Left the horse from Go-Go-Anna and picked up Compass TB
And we agree - great vies from here
