Staying in Mildura for a short visit with ilook4geo and picking up a few local caches while out and about. Thanks go to doheng for this cache placement. Sadly, the container is badly broken and definitely needs to be replaced.
What a historic location. Recovered well after the floods where you can still see where it got to.
Will have to come back when it's open.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 56. Mildura Trip Day 5. Everyone from Canberra has now headed off and I have a couple more days here. I did move from Red Cliffs to Mildura Central today, so that took all the morning. Once I was set up, I headed down to the river by the Psyche Pumps to try and get to as many of the caches in that area done before it got too dark and then do a night multi. Apart from getting cold, I was really happy at how well the area has dried out after the flooding, and it is excellent that so many caches have been repaired or replaced this year. That is very encouraging.
I enjoyed a look around the grounds of the pumps area and came up with some numbers. It was a challenge finding the correct track to the cache, but once I found the right track I was almost all the way to the cache which was found without any problems.
Thanks for the cache doheng

Very interesting place and well worth spending some time here. Suspect there would be times when getting to gz would be more than difficult. Today wasn’t too bad except the track shown on my gps wasn’t correct.

So glad I took the advice of locals and drove out here. What fantastic history and thank you so much for showcasing it. Now I know why there are so many Chaffey streets, bridges etc. And what a wonderful thing to come back and witness, the firing up of the station. Once again, thank you for incorporating this into a multi...!
A great location full of history. After crunching the numbers I took a short drive then a shorter walk and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Camping nearby so went to find the cache. Pumping station is quite interesting and a really nice walk to GZ. All in good condition. With Bluebeardoz. TFTC

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW
Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT!
Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously.
I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]
***Thanks doheng for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
This was the last cache for today. It was a nice quick multi that was also found quickly. Thanks for the cache.
Another great day of caching in and around this area. Thanks for placing this, and other caches for us to find.

A relaxing day beadling around on the Victorian side of the Murray River. Visited Kings Billabong, the old pumphouse, gem shop, and picked up marmalade at Orange World where I was misinformed about how to make a flat white ️ The weather has been purrfect here every day
Nice bit of local history at the Psyche Bend pumphouse, then made my way via increasingly dodgy dirt tracks to GZ Remind me why I washed the car this morning It really was the middle of nowhere but had a moment when I got out of the car. Spectacular view!!! Guessing that’s a salt lake, eh? Took a pic before scuttling to GZ to log the cache.
TFTC Dropping a FAVE point on this neat multi.

Enjoyed camping just along the river from here. Went for a paddle to the Billabong yesterday. Interesting area. If we had been here a few days earlier we wouldn't have been able to access the final location as they had an inch of rain. Thanks
Enjoying dusty Mildura this week. Seriously. half the mallee topsoil followed us into town
We are holidaying together as a family team, so logs with the team Mattycat stamp include Purrfect Di, Jack, and Sebastbat as well as teen muggle Alex.
Some may get some initials as well All have made us smile
Mildura and surrounds certainly have some notable caches.
Many well constructed hides and clever clues. Well done to the local caching community
A fun and educational spot here, some history, and a great drive down to GZ.
Enjoying the drive around the river today.

Due to a dust storm coming in once we had the coordinates we were unable to complete. Going to try again another time.
Boiling hot here too and what a surprise GZ is at this time of year. Mildura heat! Cracked 40 degrees out on the bike but some tree cover and tragic obsessive behaviour had me locating a few more caches - and that’s after the 6th puncture! So just a few more before departure to Melbs to collect car and then maybe head home to NE Vic IF the roads are open. Thanks to the Mildura CO’s for so many fun, interesting and challenging caches. Cache heaven!
Suscoe headed out this afternoon to find a few caches to the east and south of Mildura.
A lovely sunny afternoon.
We enjoyed the trip around the area and we were delighted with the horticulture of this region.
Thanks to doheng for this multi.
A very quiet wlak to GZ.
Cache found but the remnants of the old cache made for a sad sight, then we saw the new container.

Today the Pumps were up and running so we popped down here for that, then found a few caches on the way. Got to GZ and quickly figured out the coordinates then waited for the pumps to start and have a look at that before locating the cache. Definitely 4x4 terrain and when I decided to take the small car and we got out there Geokid proved me wrong that we should of taken the Ute. Oops. Anyway thanks for the cache doheng.
Found today while exploring the Psyche Pump area. My target cache was the nearby Psyche Pump trad due to its age but found the drive and final location of this one to be much more entertaining! Listening to the daughter laughing and squealing in the back seat while going over the dips and bumps was worth the trip alone!
Quick find at GZ and on our way again. Thx doheng, FP added for this one!

A interesting bit of history then an interesting little drive to the cache. Thanks for an enjoyable adventure. Dropped a TB.
Solved this one months and months ago bit redid it again, with no one at the pumps. Definitely not a 2wd track in to the final location, pretty choppy. Lovely to see that the original cache which was has mostly disintegrated has been replaced with another in great condition, still with the original log book. Tftc!
Wet and slippry fun on the long weekend. TFTC. The main box for the cache has totally fallen apart now and needs replacing.
Ok l don't know why but l have been up and about Mildura plenty of times over the years but never ventured down to the Psyche Bend Pump Station. Today though l thought l would come down and check out the multi but ended up having a wander around the old pumps and steam house as they were in use due to them being open to the public. My two young sons and myself enjoyed the walk around and the machinery and made the most of some nice sunny weather to work out the co-ord's and then set off to the final gz and made a quick find. l replaced the cracked container with a small sistema container l had in the ute but is not a true reflection of the size listed. The logbook is out of the weather at this stage, but could do with a larger container to replace the one l left.
Found this cache while having a family outing to Kings Billabong. It was interesting reading about the history behind this area. The cache itself unfortunately has suffered in harsh summer sun and has become brittle and is no longer watertight. The log is still in good condition for now but the container needs replacing. Swapped a spinner for a army man TFTC
Stuffed the cord's up last week but solved them at home. Container needs replacing the sun has got to it. The last 60 mts is like a maze. TFTC
TFTC. Late last week we had been here and collected the necessary information. Not having enough time we came back today to find the two we had left behind. Drove the Terios to about 500metre to go, then walked to GZ for sn easy find.
Enjoyed a few days holidaying at Mildura. Found some great caches and a little bling. (Also left a little bling for the next finder)

TheCatBandits family cache day out. Thought we would give this one a go while down here no idea when we will get back over this way. Found without to much trouble TFTC
Had an enjoyable time looking for this one, found the answers to the questions a few days ago while in the area taking some photos. Came back today with the plan to take more photos of the surrounding area of GZ. Quickly found the cache and off to take our photos. not the nicest smelling of places but a lot of fun.
I found this while in Mildura for a speedway meeting. It was a most enjoyable weekend. tftc.

Seeing we had made the long detour here from Bruce's Bend we thought we had better check out the caches in the area. Did the normal cache first and then tackled this multi. The information was quickly obtained and the GZ calculated. I have no idea what our GPS was thinking but the way she took us close to GZ was even dodgier than the tracks we had been on from our camp spot. We were pleased to find a simpler way out once making the find.
The next operational day at the pump is the end of September and unfortunately we will be well gone by then. Pity as Mr Beetle loves all this old stuff. Thanks.

An interesting bit of history and hard to imagine the water up to the level of the 1956 floods. Mr TiedyeSmileys did the work on this one and Mrs TiedyeSmileys was doubting his maths skills as we drove through the scrub to GZ (this is usually the other way around for all the puzzles Mrs Tiedyesmiileys solves). Despite her doubts (both about the position of GZ and ability of the TiedyeSmileys geovan to drive along the track to it) the cache was quickly found.

Oh no!!!!!! Thought that as this geocache hadn't been found for 5 months that we could grab Susie the Swan TB to take with us on an overseas holiday to USA. Imagine our surprise when we saw a car in the distance on a mostly inaccessible track. Happily they were 200m from GZ so presumed they were muggles, we waved to them happily and ventured on. Discovered geocache but TB was missing. Entry had just been made. The geocache lays undiscovered for 5 months and then is found twice within a matter of minutes!

Sorry doheng for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Great cache. Couldn't find it for awhile then realized we had the wrong coordinates. Great spot. Love the scenery.
We finally got a chance to do this one today, after driving past many times on other caching expeditions. Once we had all the clues sorted we were off, glad we came in the ute. It was a great day for 4WD'ing. With the Geokids driving the GPS, we soon had the cache in hand and they made some swaps.

Love a bit of history and the walk is awesome.
I started this cache just before 8am in approx 5C temp.
Not a cloud in the sky.
Spotted 3 roos on the trek and as I approached GZ I thought the co-ord's may have been incorrect.
Soon enough though I was signing the log.
