It appears that we won't be coming down to maintain this cache in the short term (minimum six weeks); as promised two weeks ago, we're archiving this cache to free up the spot.
Thanks for the reminder, Bunjil - we may be able to replace this one within the next couple of weeks. If it's okay to do so, we'll give it two weeks from today to find it if an earlier trip is in order so we can replace. If not, we'll archive it.
It looks like this one is probably missing - in typical form, we've only figured that out immediately after visiting the area! It might be a while before we get there again so hopefully it won't get archived before we make it back.
Found where it should have been but is clearly missing still a perfect spot to watch the sunset
Team Ladava are on a break away before being restricted to home with upcoming knee replacement.

After driving halfway across Victoria and then working on a site in town for half a day, I needed to relax after work. What better way to relax than a nice stroll through the local vegetation, using million dollar satellites to find a piece of paper in the bush?!
After threatening to rain for a few hours, the skies opened up just as I stepped out of the car to find the nearby cache, The Mouth. Needless to say, it's impossible to find one cache when there are more out there - so I went for a walk up the hill. I could see where I was going to end up from miles away (funnily enough, I think that's what Trig Points are for lol) and sure enough, I ended up at the top of the hill.
A nice easy find, and some great views along with it. Thanks for the cache o'cholio

Having traveled to Portland for a countdown event for the 2017 Melbourne Mega we had another day to explore the nearby county and find some more caches. Today we joined with Mogni, Aussie M&M and Sir Spectre and headed towards Warrnambool and Tower Hill before returning to Portland for some night caching.
After a stroll to Grannies Grave we called in here to take in the views on our way back to the car. And of course took the opportunity to find the cache and take a few piccies. The cache was in the first place I looked...becoming a real rarity these days. Thanks oçholio.

TFTC. We have long been fans of wandering near the water. We came to Warrnambool firstly to go to the cemetery to find the grave of a Victorian Premier for a wherigo. Secondly there is an event i Portland next weekend. After the cemetery we saw a group of caches around the Hopkins River Mouth.
A short walk up to the point and this cache was soon in hand and signed.

When we arrived at GZ we were greeted by two very territorial magpies. Thankfully they kept a watchful eye during our visit but did not attempt to force us away. The hint and accurate coordinates led to a quick find. the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks o'cholio for the cache.
Found at 1620. We hare have a short stay in Warrnambool for a few day and we plan to pick up some local caches while seeing the sights. Had to tell a muggle about geocaching. TFTC.
Found at 12:45 PM GAFF1.
This is one of the 700 caches that we hadn't found when we left Victoria in December 2009. We nearly cleared out the whole state and now there are over 16,000 caches that we haven't found in the state of Victoria - absolutely unheard of at the time..
A nice view from up here and a quick unexpected find.
Thanks o'cholio.

Walked up from the nearby carpark...great views again from here...

Day 2 of the girls' road trip to Warrnambool, which then extended out to Bendigo on day 3. On day 4 we picked up another passenger for Harry as the new passenger needed a lift to Adelaide.
Today we headed back out to Tower Hill, accompanied by micaparamedic, to find Alex' Towering Inferno [^] Then it was off to the 1 month to the Surf Coast Event - Warrnambool for lunch of some great sausages before we wandered the location with other friendly geocachers and finally GoodLook and I drove around Warrnambool and found some caches on our own
18 caches found , only 2 DNFs [^] and 1 event attended
The last cache we found and now this cache are the real reason that geocaching exists! [^]
The views are awesome!
Although the exercise at this cache, after finding Towering Inferno this morning, was pretty intense for an old lady like me!
Especially when we finally did find the cache and then returned to Harry to grab another cache and log book and then climbed back up to replace them [)]
But oh those views!

Kaye and I replaced this cache so it has a new eclipse tin and log book in a fantastic spot. No need to leave the wooden area
Talk about déjà vu ..... this is the second weekend in a row that I have been on a girls caching road trip with Locus Cache to Victoria. This time however it was a fabulous 4 day jaunt AND we may have even brought back a lovely Victorian fella with us (micaparamedic).....ALWAYS an enjoyable time when we hang out!
Kaye and I travelled from Adelaide to the beautiful Warrnambool area to attend a Friday night picnic in the park event and then on Saturday we enjoyed a yummy BBQ lunch at the 1 month to the Surf Coast Mega Event. Bendigo was our next overnight stop and then we headed home....which only took us 15 HOURS!! haha It wasn't the Little Desert National Park we got lost in this weekend, it was Murray Sunset National Park...LOL - but we did get a joint first to find which made the detour all worth it....who needs to get 8hours sleep before needing to be at work the next day anyway??
We targeted a number of caches over the weekend, including some oldies of Alex...very cool finding original ammo cans in the bush and some to help out the D/T grid!
Once again the conversations were highly amusing and we enjoyed lots of belly laughter!! haha [:o)]
We saw kangaroos, emus, lots of birds and a whole heap of water due to recent heavy rains.
GEOCACHING ROCKS!!! [:X]
Thanks for the cache o'cholio!

Found with LouiseAnn while in the area. Wild and rough out at sea today. Glad I brought my winter stuff. Tftc
Down in Warrnambool for the Surf Coast BBQ Event , we set out in the company of McLookers this morning braving the rain to cross as many caches of our list as possible. Stupid rain go away!!! Unfortunately we found half the cache and had to do a sweep of the are to find all the parts. Log was dry though and we were able to sign and replace.
Thanks o'cholio for the breathtaking views.
Thanks o'cholio for the breathtaking views.
Just as the rain was starting again, we made a run for GZ. We were struggling a it until The Tritonz found the cache lid below. We then spied where the cache should be but there was nothing to be seen. The Tritonz widened the search considerably and fortunately found the cache. We signed the log and popped the cache back bit the lid is unsecure. Thanks for bringing us here today o'cholio, great spot just wish it wasn't raining.
TFTC! Had to hang onto the seat to stop being blown away. Cache seen better days but dry and out of the blustery weather.
On a nice morning walk, I decided to add in another cache, glad I did as at the top of a few stairs I got a great view of the coast and city. The cache is a bit worse for wear, it has no lid, is rusty and had nearly fallen off the platform - the log was still good to sign. Thanks O'cholio for getting me to a great view.
Nice easy find today, had no idea that this part of Warrnambool existed! Lovely views! Had a couple of issues with the container, will log a needs maintenance. TFTC
When I found the container it is extremely rusty and not in the best condition. The lid has fallen off and gone through the boardwalk cracks never to be seen again. The log is also very worn and glad bag ripped. Definitely in need of some urgent TLC. Thanks for an amazing location though.
I took the drive to Warrnambool today on a mission for a cache that is taking me all over the state. Once I had completed my goal I then had some time to pick a few caches before I had to return home to the Geelong area.
This little fella was cache number three for the day, a nice easy and quick find it was too. The view from here is magnificent though you can see for miles in all directions.
Thank you o'cholio for bring me here for this cache

This cache has Character! The container is a work of art ... in progress still. The cache is in good shape (see picture) and the log is damp, but understandably so. Great view from up here which explains the bench mark. Well worth the walk up and back down. SL TNLN Thanks for the hide!!!
Logged as Dipstix2 with Dippa46, We jumped on the bikes today and rode the trail along Lady Bay, beautiful.... Thanks for placing this cache for us to enjoy. Bit damp but still able to sign.
MazzyMay and I took a bike ride and found this cache. The head wind on the way home was tiring! TFTC.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island. We are currently on route to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell (where we are heading to at present), Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks for having bought us to this great lookout, and of course thanks so much for the cache!

Find by pnutbeagle and The Marathon Man (Northern Ontario Canada) continuing our vacation in Australia after having spent 4 weeks in Australia. Also enjoying the great weather in Australia of 25+°C. We are also away from the -3° C and snow back home in NorthWestern Ontario, Canada.
Another great day of geocaching in Victoria, Australia. Today we did not get that far today - Warrnambool to Tower Hill National Park, back to Warrnambool and then on to the Great Ocean Road where we have stopped in Peterborough for the night. Who cares how far we get - we are on Holidays and away from Work.

We really enjoyed this walk to the top of the hill and the views were spectacular. The perfect weather helped too. An easy find, however the container is suffering the effects of the salty air. TFTC o'cholio.
A wonderful view from this point. Geoteen found cache very quickly even before i finished climbing the steps! Thanks for placing a cache here
In Warrnambool for a few days with family for Christmas. Must fit some caches in with DreamyDragon. We climbed to the top today and had just finished signing the replacement log when we spotted the original cache on the ground. So, signed the log a 2nd time, put the replacement log in with the real log, put the original mint tin back where it belongs and took the replacement with us. A days work in the life of a cacher to restore order back to this cache! Tftc.

I have left a replacement tin attached to the original earth magnet. Thanks for the cache.
Having just found nearby cache, we were feeling confident about this one. Experience and hint suggested likely gz and careful searching located a magnet but no cache. Looked around but nothing on decking or on nearby ground.
Found together with #heisi on our journey through Australia.
Thank you for showing us nice areas & spots!

There has to be some sort of consolation for a two day/night work trip, and for me that's a few caches on the side. I dragged my very patient colleagues on a few side trips and this was the second adventure. We picked this cache up at 9:02am. This was another really nice view, thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks for the cache o'cholio.

Arrived in Warrnambool with sulkybear and our 2 geokids (aged 4 & 6). We decided to look for some caches along the cliff tops. A nice walk up to fabulous views. Master 4 easily found cache. Thanks fir bringing us here
Quick little stroll up the hill only to be greeted by a muggle family. Waited them out then the quick search was on.

We did get to the point and what a terrific view! Thanks for bringing us to this little detour on our bike ride today.
This area in general, because of such a great day has the whole area crawling with Muggles + visitors +fresh air gathering locals. Wasted much time visiting near by GZs and abandoning.
This was a pleasure being off the paved pathway, plus a trig point. Not to mention the view.

The cache is still in the correct position; the one in the previous log is actually an old one that was previously missing. It's now been removed so the only cache here is the correct one.
On our way home from the Mega and stayed in Warnambool last night. Doing a few caches around town before heading to Port Campbell for two nights. Want to have a good look around down this end of the Great Ocean Road then onto Geelong for two nights and fly to Brisbane on Sunday Afternoon. Arrived At the trig point and we could see the eclipse tin out in the open near the base of one of the legs. Had to climb over the fence to retrieve it. Placed back on the back of the seat out of sight. CO may need to visit for some TLC. TFTC o'cholio

Unfortunately, the lid of the box is broken and the logbook is full.
Thanks a lot to the owner for maintenance.
