Agree with past visitor, cache probably under large fallen tree/s. Fantastic spot, remote feel, with some intriguing history..
Found the soak but no remains of the ammo box. Couple of the large hollow trees have fallen and the GPS coordinates are under the now fallen trees. Great spot and the well is deep and you would never now it's there.
Followed the pink ribbon in from the parking area over the burnt ground to the soak. Pleasantly surprised that the well and trough were still in tact but couldn't say the same for the cache as all that remained was a burnt ammo tin... now rusting. Thanks Team Carnage for showing us this great piece of history
Followed the pink ribbons through the blackened woods to find an empty burnt out ammo tin beside the water trough. The charred contents could just be seen scattered around.
Thanks for taking us to a very interesting spot.
Thanks for taking us to a very interesting spot.
A new caching day so time to head somewhere to enjoy a soak
There is quite a well worn trail to GZ from the roadside
And at GZ a wonderful discovery.
Now if only I could lift the lid !!
Gosh !! It's heavy
Lid lifted, I peered inside ...
... yeah you wouldn't want to fall in there [:o)
A great bit of history here and after a short search, I soon found a cache

We've been meaning to visit this spot for years as it is significant to this family. At last we have done it thanks to geocaching. TFTC
Nice walk good cache thanks. My great grandfather used to use this well to water the horses on the two day trip to town.

Way Awesome..... Wonder if my balloon still afloat. Left bangle all 4 of us enjoyed this one. Thanks
Wicked place, first time i saw a well:) and we where with our friends so was even more fun!
What a great spot and everything a cache should be. The well was dry (I think) and the area was easy to find along a well defined track, and made more enjoyable due to the cache being in an obvious spot. Cheers for another pearler.
One of the highlights of todays caching trip. Thank you so much Team Carnage for another great location. Walked the 300 mts down the well defined path, following the surveyors tape to find the soak and the watering trough. Thank heavens no vandals have defaced these fabulous relics.

Found by Geo-Mickey after a most enjoyable stroll through the bush. The previous night it had rained and the bush had a lovely refreshing smell that added to the intrigue of finding the cache. We opened the well and were amazed at the good condition of the well, however no water was at the bottom. Thanks for taking us here.
Would have never known the soak was there. Great signage even if me and mr barista went off down what seemed like an obvious track - but that teaches me to read the description BEFORE following the gps!
Went tracking off down the wrong trail then reread the description. Back to point A and start again. Easy to follow. The things you find in the middle of the bush. Thanks Team Carnage for this cache.
Another find on our Yallingup-Manjimup-Pemberton-Albany week away. After doing some bush bashing( did not see the yellow tape as described, the eyes are fading, a tree across the track did not help. We made the find after a little searching at GZ. An interesting spot, who would have thought to put a well here. SL TFTC
Had a nice walk in the drizzling rain following the yellow tapes to GZ. A very interesting place. SL TNLN TFTC
Another great site full of history from Carnage. Didn't follow the tape in but found it no worries. Good hide. GEOTEAM EXTREME
Found the trail of tape no worries.
Thanks for another peice of history that would not usually be seen.

This was one of my highlight caches for my south-west caching holiday. It took longer to find the yellow tape then to find the actual cache though! Thankyou for planting a cache in a wonderful place.
Well what an exciting cache this was. First we missed the tape - fellow cachers be aware if you open your eyes you can see the tape around the trees (as we did after we finished the cache!!). But anyway after trapsing through the bush and Mr Clyde almost stepping on a tiger snake we found the well and trough. What a great spot for a cache would never have known this was here otherwise. Would not like to fall down the well, was pretty deep. Managed to find our way out of there back to the car really easy with the tape. Thanks for a great cache.
We took a detour from the highway on the spur of the moment and glad we did. We took the long way in and followed the markers on the way back, thanks for the leads and yet another interesting piece of history Team Carnage.. thank you once again.
A very interesting bit of history, how did they get down so far? TFTC

What an interesting spot. The well is still in good condition. Cahce found without any problem. Thanks Team Carnage
Found the well and cache after much bush bashing. I then also found the nice easy track that I should have been following in the first place.
Who would of thought there was a well and old horse trough in the middle of the bush. Great find. The yellow markers were a great help.
WanderingAus wandered by, parked at the suggested spot and made lunch before heading out on the hunt. I found the first yellow tape, but couldn't see another one, so I bush-bashed towards GZ. When I was about 30 metres from GZ I spotted another yellow tape, and then spotted the well just beyond it. Once the gps settled down I made an easy GAFF 1 find.
My find No 1128, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Historic site with plenty of character. Lived nearby and never knew this well was here. Would be a great wildflower display in spring. Met owner of cache on the way in. FTF and TFTC
I went out to the well today to show my Brother in Law where it was and who should we meet on the way out but Happy Wanderer 3!
She thought we had nabbed the FTF from her
I explained that I was the cache owner and we walked back to GZ with her and had a chat while I let her search the area.
Well Done on the FTF.
