Unfortunately don't have our maintenance person visiting this area any more, so time to archive this one. Lovely spot. Hope someone else puts a cache here.

Took the long way there Glad the track was dry Cache has a great big stone on it which looks very natural in the tree fork! Added some extra leaves and twigs TFTC

This is the second day of my two-day trip from Invercargill to Christchurch, grabbing a few caches on the way. A wet start to the day at Omarama, but improved as the day went on. A quick find, signed log and returned as found. Thanks for the cache.

No one at the ponds today, so no trouble driving to the GZ and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

Nice drive. I think the sign moved as there was no sign for the ponds at the suggested entry point.. but no matter as the road practically only led one way (.. ish) )

Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.

Stayed in Oamaru for the night and left for Twizel today

Quick find after a cruise around the ponds. Nice spot. Cache exposed, the leaves all blown away.

Yup, took the wrong way round to, hint for other people who go this way, take the outside track not the inside on as it gets a little hairy on one of the banks

Day 2 of our 5 Day end of year geocaching trip. A nice quick find just coming from a swim to the island just down the road. Its good to get a Annie & PB cache so far from home. Cache in great condition so we left a TB. Thanks for the cache

Luckily there were no muggles about as there weren't many leaves left on the hint object to hide our activities. Found with Woody104 and debsnz

We certainly entered this one on the wrong road and made a complete circuit of the ponds. Lots of nice areas for a picnic on a nice day. Found with Aoraki Sheep and Woody104.

It's just over there, but just over there took us longer than we thought it might. There are several roads to choose from and one or two of them get to the cache. Some nice fishing possies might tempt me to return.

Drove in the long way to this cache, drove out the short way. An easy find made by the geo-nana in the howling wind. Cheers Annie and PB.

Took the scenic route to this GC, lovely pond, was a nice drive later in evening, logged find with Granville86a, TFTC!

Pottering around the Mackenzie Basin for a couple of days; this was in my sights. Picked up TTTTTT and will move it on. TFTC.

Between "Resting in the Valley" and here we actually found a rest area witn no-one in it! So we are now fully refreshed after brewing the billy and a picnic lunch. Found the sign and found the cache. Another quiet spot today. TFTC

Also found a birds nest with 5 blue eggs in it.

The colours were magificant here today - the blue pond, green trees, white snow and blue sky. Makes the heart sing! TFTC #4169

Wanted to camp the night here in our campervan as it looked very pretty, but the signs nearby told us we couldn't do that, so grabbed the cache and moved on. Did with Mycro Man on our NZ MEGA 2012 South Island Trip

Easy find but effort required to dig out due to frozen snow lol. Kids loved it.

found it. it was a very foggy morning and the ponds had a eerie feel to them. got our pant legs soaked from the dew on the grass but all good when cache found. tftc.

Had this on on the list for a while. 20th find on a great weekend drive up to Tekapo for the round Tekapo Bike race.

Good hide for cache. Also easy to get confused if you dont read the GPS correctly

While having a five weeks' holiday in New Zeland, we also try to find a number of caches.
On our way to Lake Tekapo this was one of them. It's a nice place to hide a cache and it's a
beautiful area. TFTC.
