I started geocaching in 2008 and after hiding six that year, I have endeavoured to hide at least one every year since. This is the last active of my 2008 hides. Alas, eight and a half years and I think this one has served it's sentence.
Over 500 finds are all appreciated. It has survived at least three full replacements and brought a lot of folks to this nice place. I sadly don't visit the Bay as much anymore and confident this one is gone. Maybe a local is more able to do something with this space. Thanks to all who found, logged and enjoyed Quota Park

Not yet forgotten. Might still be there if someone is super keen to kill some time.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this one is missing. Don't let me stop you trying anyways - I'll be stoked if it turns out to be there, just hiding.
A little disappointed this was a did not find as many logs are suggesting an easy find.
Now I'm not a local but there is some evidence of council works going on here recently. Also there was evidence of fresh spray paint on the leaves around the structure at gz. Could the team that painted here have moved/removed the cache. Captain Terror might need to check. Thanks.

Up for a quick visit from Melbourne and had to find a cache, a quick easy one.. Tftc
With my work finished for the day, it was time for a pre-dinner walk...and maybe a cache or two...although that only turned out to be only one...this one. After a 1.5km stroll from my motel, I found myself scrabbling around hunting out this cache. Fortunately there was hardly any muggle around to observe me at it...and before long I came up with the goods.
Thanks Captain Terror for this cache.

This was just down the road from the motel. Had to be a bit stealthy but an easy find fortunately. TFTC!
Travelling around Australia and currently staying in Hervey Bay, Queensland for a few days .
So very hot here at the moment. Its been airconditioned caravan or airconditioned car! BUT today we changed that and decided to head out on the GeoBikes for a few hours.
After a fish n chip lunch Mrs Felix cycled home and Mr Felix continued on alone as the afternoon thunderstorm approached.

This one took us a few goes over the past year, there always seemed to be muggers sitting at gz. This time the muggles were a few metres away so we were able to carry out a discreet search without attracting their attention. Princess madelyn made the find and the log was quickly signed. Thanks Captain Terror for giving us this challenge against the evil muggles. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Whilst doing a bush bash with the Forensic Police Services, raising money for the Flying Doctor Service for 2 weeks, found this at Hervey Bay. TFTC
Another find on our walk along the Esplanade this morning. Thanks again, Captain Terror.

We did some geocaching while spending our honeymoon in Hervey Bay.
Cache was located in obvious location and was easy to find. Don't be afraid about current (2,5) difficulty rating!

We are spending the weekend camping in Hervey Bay & combining some geocaching & sightseeing this afternoon & are working our way around the coastline.
We parked nearby & the co-ords weren't putting me near anything that looked like a good spot for GZ but the hint soon had us looking at a much more likely spot. Geohubby made the find. Log signed & cache replaced as found.

Heading to Hervey Bay today to pick up some liquorice for an Event at Rainbow Beach this weekend.
Dragging a very reluctant CDAH55 with me to help find some caches that had eluded me in the past.
Having secured the necessary supplies for Saturday's event, continued caching the area.
This one had been on my watch list for some 4 years, great to finally turn it into a
Been muggled out several times, Sweet informed me after, we'd been here 3 times together and I'd been here a couple of extra times alone,
Even allowed him to find some of mine in the area
This turned out to be an easy find.
All with the cache

I headed north today with Sweet-Sour who had some business to attend to. As we had sufficient time to do some caching as well we thought that we should make the most of it.
We made our way to GZ and after a short search the cache was in hand. This is a difficult cache to search for as there were plenty of muggles around so the need for discretion was paramount.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

Bei einem Morgenspaziergang gut finden können. Danke fürs Legen. Lissy+Kobold
Hmmm. Good location. For some reason took some time.
Eclipse tin been changed. I guess someone saw the light!!

Would love to have grabbed this one, but the muggle activity on two consecutive days was just too heavy to allow us to do the search. Might have a go at night time next time we're over at the Bay. Thanks Cap'n, and cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
This cache proved to be far more difficult and time-consuming than I expected. It took more than 30 minutes to find but I had a chance to educate a German girl on the art of caching and how she'd love it as a backpacker. 7 out of 7 on the day!
On our trip around Australia we stoped here to grab the Cache.
Thank's to show us this beautiful place.

Nice and quiet this afternoon, only had to wait a short time for the muggle family to move on then ducked my head under to spot the prize right where I was going to sit. Quickly signed and returned to its hiding spot. Cache all good. Thanks, Captain Terror for placing it in such a pleasant spot.
Reading the hint as I walked up to this one.
Took a seat and put my hand straight on it.
The caching fairies were with me on this one.
