An easy find on a hot and blustery Saturday afternoon. The upper side of the container appears to have a crack, which is okay now but might allow water in later. TFTC
Over to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event with tmann421.Have done a few km collecting caches and have enjoyed the tour aroundThanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining these for us to findSigned log tm/ww NZ
Nice find with woolwood9 today. Another day down the Yorke Peninsular for us.Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit. SL tm/ww NZSoon located.
Found with the Nelson crew on the Yorke Peninsula. Getting a few caches that I didn't get last time
Having all blitzed our previous best day caching ever yesterday by some considerable margin and having gathered up our tools of the trade - - - cars, GPSs, phones, sunscreen, hats - - - etc etc, the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie) from Nelson, New Zealand, are back on the road hungry for more smilies. I have wondered about the windmills and water pipes I have seen on the peninsula. Thanks for filling me in with details, and thanks for the cache .
We are making our way down the Peninsula to do more of the trails, stopping to pick up the odd one here and there that bullertrout hasn't found as yesterday he was our patient driver finding only 30 while we found 439 and today is likely to be more of the same. Log signed as SPBINZ or some variation of that for Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie. TFTC Healthy Leg#15838
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie) as we make our way South to start on the crab geoart. Four of us were searching, searching, searching and about to give up when Nanzie comes over and walks stright to it. Yeah! A bonus cache as we make our way to the starting objective for the day. TFTC healthy leg and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,401**tepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**
Ah you tricky pesky thing. Got you. All is good here and thanks for more history.
Good one! Interesting history- sometimes you look look and don’t see & then you do! Tftc!
With rain forecast later in the day we headed to Minlaton to grab a few caches before the rain set in.
Many thanks for the hide healthy leg

Easter 2022 provided me with an opportunity to make another run to the Gone Fishn' series. A couple more days to chip away at this epic trail of caches. Friday had me resuming at #235 and I made my way south towards the overnight accommodation, finishing at #445 where I left off on a previous run.
Thanks for the cache Healthy Leg, found after a short search, cache in good condition, one zip broken, the other is holding up well. Find #6630

Trip up to minlaton to have a look around and grab a few caches. Nice history, TFTC!
A quick find while staying at Point Turton caravan park and out caching with Little Blue Wren.TFTC
Have had a fantastic week exploring the YP with the help of geocaching. This hobby is more than finding a piece of paper, it’s discovering places you would normally pass by without a second thought.
Dave & Amy certainly would not have had time for such a hobby in 1880’s.
TFTC Keep smiling

Team Froghoppin and I headed down the leg today for some caches.
Most were quick finds, of many shapes and sizes.
This was one of many we logged today.

Day 205 (Saturday 21st) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Warooka today. A total of 4 for the day and 4851 for the trip. TFTC
After doing a second day on the Gone fishin series, we grabbed a few caches on the way back to Minlaton. This was one of them. Thanks Healthy Leg
A last minute trip that was purely made due to there being a CITO at Minlaton, off I went caching at a few stops along the way from Adelaide, collecting a few of the T.O.Y caches.
Arrived at the event for the evening to meet some lovely people from different parts of the world. We chatted and shouted so many stories around culture and the differences between countries, lots of random caching experiences and as well just some random conversations. After the event I had planned to do some of the geo art further south. I was soon joined by team GBS and what legends they are, some amazing people and they went guns blazing along the trails.
From 7-12 we found just over 210 caches. The trail is in very poor condition and probably needs a maintenance run in the near future. Some of the caches are broken or just a log book.
Day 2 I woke up and did some local caching before the CITO. The CITO was fantastic with 4 large bags being collected. I soon said my good byes and targeted the rest of the T.O.Y series along the eastern coast line. All the caches in the series are all in good condition.
Then I farted for the event back in Adelaide by mid day. Overall a total of 255 caches for an overnight trip and some long time caching friends made.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for their placements
Sorry for the generic log.

Time to move out of camp and head furhter north again, picking up some caches along the way. Couldn't take the caravan along some tracks, so felt a bit restricted today. Plenty of other caches were available to keep us happy. Found a couple of multi caches as well as a selection of traditionals, while travelling along mostly back roads rather than highways.
Found this one at a different level to that which was expected, did the duties and returned it to a slightly different place, but one which was more in keeping with the hint. Thanks go to Healthy Leg for this cache placement.

Having a lot of fun caching around the Yorke Peninsula with goingplaces2. All the caches that we found today had two more names added to the log. They were then put back in their place. This was found in a different place. TFTC.

Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). - Had a great day today, in that we didn't do any of the power trails! That was a very nice change! So a nice variety and some very nice locations! Thanks!
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today the team decided that it was a “tourist day” and we would go have a look around a small part of the peninsula to see what there is. But of course like true geocachers we couldn’t help taking a caching route as we went. We ended up getting a lot more than we expected, but we did have a good time.
We found this cache all good here. It was funny as Tankengine almost found this by using his head. Tftc Healthy Leg!!!

On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thanks showing us more of the local history. Small house! Kutgw
We’ve left Maitland after three nights. A lovely town with some beautiful old houses built from what we assume is the local stone. On our way to Minlaton for a few more nights to continue our assault on the Gone Fishn’ power trail.
It’s great to find a few different sized and different types of hides after so many more micros in the bush! But we do appreciate the enormous effort made by all the CO’s on the Yorke Peninsula.
Another short stop on our relocation to Minlaton where Mrs SKI made a nice straightforward find. She wasn’t too pleased with the log guardian inside the plastic bag, but was too freaked out to remove it!

Found this with CherryRose on our way into Minlaton for a coffee and maybe a change of underwear. You’ll find out why.

Found with FUF009.
We headed out of St Arnaud, VIC early this morning and drove practically non stop to Minlaton with either totally random stops for caches or specifically selected caches.
It felt like a very quick drive despite it actually being about 8 hours all up.
Such a nice change of scenery and nice for both of us to have free range caching rather than the limited range St Arnaud has left for FUF009 and difficult Melbourne caching for me.
All caches found were in good form unless mentioned at the start of my log.
Apologies for the generic log but I just can't do individual logs after the mass of caches that were found. I'm so tired they all have merged into one big cluster.
Thanks to all the COs for their hides. Tftc

Found with a quick park and grab. Without geocaching, never would have realised this plaque was here. Quite inconspicuous indeed! Thanks for the hanging cache, grabbed the TB from here, cheers.
Today we travelled from Maitland to Minlaton using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Today Gary and I spent some more time in Innes National Park and then we took our time travelling to Moonta. After a long day of walking we certainly enjoyed a delicious dinner at our hotel near the jetty in Moonta and an early night.
Some of the cache hides were easy, others were more challenging, but overall we enjoyed yet another wonderful day with fantastic weather.
Thanks for the cache healthy leg

Woo hoo, the lovely Micaparamedic and I decided we would attend the June Long Weekend Event in South Australia (Edithburgh) and make the most of a road trip to the glorious Yorke Peninsula by spending a week away - NICE! [^]
We particularly enjoyed exploring Innes National Park and focussing on the new earth caches on the YP and in Burra.

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.
TFTC healthy leg.

This was day 1 of our adventure and we made our way out of the City and headed towards the underwater themed geo art [^].
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to healthy leg for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Cooks Forever today. This is my find #6604 and find #82 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again healthy leg for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

Found on geo hunt with desertfox41 , while stopping at Port Vincent C/Van Park, windy and cool good day. Thanks.
#2409 Our plans for the day had been thrown out the window after suffering our 2nd puncture on YP in 4 days! It is a Sunday and we were reluctant to drive any back roads on the spare. We then had a slice of luck when turning up to the tyre joint in Minlaton with the owner there washing his car. He very kindly fixed our tyre on his day off, what a top guy! It was about the halfway mark of our camping adventure so we spent a good portion of our afternoon doing a clothes wash and doing a grocery shop.
On our way back to camp we thought we would collect a handfull of caches to provide some excitement for the day and this was the first. A nice quick find in the shade, TFTC and drawing us to this monument healthy leg.

Found the cache but I upset a little Willy Wagtail Birdie who was nesting above and did not like me being there and sure let me know about it by going crazy at me. Signed the log as quickly as I could and left the birdie in peace. TFTC
Suscoe was heading northwards today in convoy with Phetlern as our time in Marion Bay had come to an end.
We started the finds at Brentwood, then to Minlaton and then on to Maitland before picking up a couple of caches along the road to Port Wakefield.
It was a sunny day with a good range of caches found along the way.
The roads were quiet today which made for easy stops along the roads and around the towns.
Thanks to healthy leg for this cache, we were impressed with this area.

Travelling in good company with Suscoe and relocating our base from Marion Bay to Port Wakefield, provided us many opportunities to stop, stretch and add a smiley, or two, to our geo-map. We parked one car & caravan in town and explored the cache rich Minlaton area.
Guess we had a bit of a Cook's tour! Images attached.

Wow Yorkes certainly turned on the beautiful weather for this ANZAC long weekend.. What better way to spend it than caching while staying at Pt Vincent.TFTC
Found with Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and Bounty Trackers. Heading on our way to The York Peninsula for Easter and to catch up with the rest of our group. Sorry for the late logs life sometimes has an uncanny way of getting in the way. I was busy trying to get in front of KTCvic whom we are meeting up with. So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Thanks for making our trip fun and TFTC

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced up with there presents and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000

A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.
