Hi there Reviewer,
RE: The cache "Peterborough or Petersburg?"
I'm following up on my "Needs Maintenance" log which is now well over 28 days old.
There has been no action by the CO. The cache appears to have been abandoned and perhaps needs to go.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Hi there howie_sf,
RE: Your cache **"Peterborough or Petersburg?"**
We looked for your cache today, but as there's so many DNf's here already we didn't see any point in adding another.
Could you please do a maintenance run to confirm if it is still there - - and perhaps replace (or archive) it if it isn't.
Regards
Ian & Penny

We searched for a while without luck until a local gent came by with a walker and we had a very interesting chat about the history of Peterborough. Unfortunately we didn't find but had an interesting conversation as compensation.
Had a good search but turned up empty handed. Hard to believe there have been only 1 DNF's with so many cachers been in the area. Needs a check from CO.
Stolen please contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information
Having completed an audit against my finds and those of The Wackys, now logging those that I have missed. Many caches over a number of years. These days I actually keep up.
Thanks for thecache.

Out and about today, with the geovan parked up opposite the rail museum. Last night, we did the light and sound show at the museum, this morning, did the tour, then went for a drive to find an abandoned tunnel, a sports ground, a welcome sign, a dog, a man called greg and some gold.
We left the sports ground and the cemetery, and were followed by a very slow freight train heading towards Adelaide. Thought that if we stop for this cache, we would not get to watch it go through town. BUT, we were wrong, we found the sneaky little hide, back in the geo van to go into town to see Bob, and the train was still coming up the rail.
Thanks Howie sf

This one tested us out a bit - just as well the husband has long legs (and good eyesight). Awesome hiding job! TFTC
On the way up to the Peterborough for a caching weekend with the SnappyomCats and we stopped to grab this one.

Up from the Barossa for the weekend with the travellinbees for a fun weekend of caching. After settling in at the Motel we headed out to do a few before dinner. This one was a tricky little one and took us a lot longer than it should have. We got there in the end though. Love the accordian log! TFTC
West Australia 2016 trip. Day 3. With two long days of driving done today was the drive from Burra to Wudinna including Orooroo, Pt Augusta and Kimba. I have lost coun of how many times I have not found this one. Mostly due to muggles, but I have had good looks. Today I was getting worried it would beat me again, especially as the neighbor had stayed inside today. Then with a rush I saw what was needed. I am very happy about getting this one.
Thanks.

After I had attended a very early event this morning, The Bee's Morning Buzz, muggle partner and I headed out with SABERS motorbike club to ride to Peterborough.
All up, we did over 400kms today in lovely 'cooler than normal lately' weather and during the lunch break at Peterborough, I managed to find 3 geocaches
Thankfully a quick find as trains can often take forever
Interesting to read about this artwork, too [^]

a quick find on way home from Willangi Escapes 4WD camping Weekend. Surprised myself how easy it was after reading past posts. TFTC
Despite the long gap since last being found I had a good feel about finding this one so I kept looking and looking and looking. Not keen to put my hand at the rear end of the train as there were many redbacks showing up in my torch light. Luckily I was away from the redbacks. Keep looking and you will find. Thanks, gave it a favourite as it was across the road from where I was staying.
I was making my way to Broken Hill and passed through here.
This one took me a few minutes of searching before the prize was spotted. A very cute cache with an amazing logbook for its size.
TFTC howie sf!

What a great little hide at a lovely entrance to the town, and what an excellent log book for a small space. Lots of room for lots of logs
Many thanks for this nice hide howie sf[^]

Travelling to Stanthorpe for the mega event via Orroroo, Peterborough, Broken Hill, Cobar, Lightning Ridge. Great to find this well hidden cache and showing us more of the area. Thanks to howie_sf.
Very pleased to find this one after the last few logs. Almost gave it a miss, but it's such a great spot, plus what a buzz it would be to find it after a couple of DNFs. Was lucky enough to spot it almost immediately. Love the logbook, only the second one of those I have seen. A great little cache in an excellent location! Cache #2102.
We couldn't find it. Must have been cache blindness. 2 pairs of eyes but no luck.
Could someone please check that this one hasn't been taken. Have been down there for hours looking with no luck
I used to live in Peterborough in the ... oh a long time ago, and we spent some time trying to find the shop my parents owned.
This cache also took a bit of a look, and some careful searching due to the wish to not disturb the resident spiders with lovely red stripes but we had it in hand just before we were about to pull the pin. Cheers. MODU

As soon as we drove up we thought this was gonna be hard to find!!! But we just happened to look in the right place within one minute and there it was!!! TFTC
We gave this a good search before reluctantly giving up. Please tell me it is not the Munzee which is there! Ah well it was worth the visit anyway.
Before leaving our overnight stay in Peterborough SA , we decided to try for a couple of caches , so Mrs one-eyed asked to try for this one as she wanted more photos.
After some thought between both of us, she accidently touched the cache , I find some cache hides a little difficult due to my restricted vision so any help here is most appreciated.

Last cache for the day... Loved it - good hide spot. Signed the log. Thanks Howie sf.
Found during another fun caching/4WDing weekend with TWDG and the Parrots near Peterborough. Track exploration done for the day, it was time to explore the town instead. I don't know what the others were doing while I played on the train, but once I got down it was an easy find. TFTC
Well this was quitters luck. We searched for 20 mins, and then just as we all walked away A found it.
I reckon we would have found it sooner if she hadn't spent so much time playing on the train!

Found on way into the Town Hall for a luncheon prepared by the Lions Club for the Riley Club. A quick find when you look it does stand out. TFTC
So far looked in 3 trains and only found this one. Going back without Geo Jen for a better look on the others.
After previous failures today with micro's we were hoping that this one would be a find. Beautifully crafted train models all around the town, this being one of them. took a little searching but soon had the cache in hand. Took a couple of snaps of the geodad at the site. TFTC!!!!
After a good night's sleep in a motel nearby, we took a walk to this nice little train. We poked about a bit with not much luck and decided we'd better move on so we didn't get the locals too suspicious
Found It!
I hope ciril doesn't know about this town. Him and his nanos would have a field day here...

Today was day two of our holiday from Melbourne to the Flinders Ranges.
The route today was from Barmera to Rawnsley Park Station just south of Wilpena Pound, where we are staying for thee nights.
The weather was fine but cool and cloudy, pefect for caching really. We stopped for lunch at Burra and arrived at Rawnsley Park just on sunset. Now comes my task of writing up todays 21 finds.
This one was find number 15.
The log was a bit damp but should be ok when it gets a bit warmer.
Thanks howie_sf,

Peterborough or Petersburg it made no difference we found the cache. These signs with the trains mounted are very good and reflect the importance the railways played in the history of the area. Thanks howie sf for the cache.
