Definitely went to the spot and searched as suggested. It appears to have been muggled.
Walked past this today on the way to the beach virtual, but the BBQ table was in use by a group of cricket playing muggles so I couldn't check on it.
Could someone who has done this cache check it. It should be sitting up near the roof line of the BBQ seating area. If you stand on the seat or table you can not miss it. The cache is green and small.
Where is this cache? we too had the park to our selves.
No cache to be found or is there

I had the park to myself, and had a good look, but when I noticed that I was being watched from the units, I walked away.
Found this one just as the cooling southerly change was making its effect felt across the Bay. No problem with any muggles in the park but there were still a few in the adjacent unit blocks (who didnt seem too interested in me). Logged through a coin for milage. Many thanks Madstars.
Reperio at 1210. Came by here earlier, but on approach to GZ, found that GZ was pointing to where some muggles were sitting. Went and found 'We Salute You', and came back past to find they had gone. With the area all clear, gotto searching, and found the cache wasn't where they were sitting, but still wouls have found it very hard to get anyway.
Nice little spot for lunch.

Oh boy, we had to come back 4 times. We saw the cache immediately at our first go, but there were to many BBQ people, kids, campers and so on. Only late at night then it was possible to retrieve it unseen.

Sadly this cache has been muggled. A neogeochacher friend has rehidden it and the owner has been notified. It is still there to be found - rehidden in the original area, but we weren't sure which was the original structure.
Found on a mammoth day's caching of 124 caches in 17 hours around the Maitland and Port Stephens area with The Rats and FarmerFrentzen.
A quick dash through the park for this one. We were getting towards the end of our run through here by this stage. TFTC!

#4787 Found this cache as part of the Rats, Steeba & FarmerFrentzen blitz on the Port Stephens area. A short walk and quick find, thankfully we didnt have to share the park with anyone.
Thanks

Found during a 17 hour caching spree with The Rats and steeba that yielded 124 finds.
A short walk from the car and a quick find once we established the right level to look at.

Blowing a gale today, branches were plopping on the ground all around us!
An early morning walk having arrived the night before and then been kept awake all night my the severity of the winds.
Seen by a muggle friend from the distance..thought we were checking out the barbeque for lunch. We enlightened him and he came caching with us later in the day.
A good hide.

Back this morning for another look (in daylight this time) after looking for this one last night without the cache info. The first of seven this morning on our walking tour of Shoal Bay.
found 7.30am 13/8/2010 an easy find as there were no muggles as the wind had blown them all away, even the people on the charter boats looked a bit green. TFTC NTNL
Found this one on our morning walk, but did not have a pen with us. Will sign the log tomorrow on our way to Shoal bay. Cheers Greg.
On my farewell caching tour through Nelson Bay I visited this location, Thanks for the Cache, I dived Halifax Park a few imes and it's simply great here!
Another good Madstars' hide! No muggles about that were visible to us but we may have been visible to them! TFTC
After waiting around for some muggles to move on pinkcurtains spotted this one.

Looked around some more obvious places for caches before accidentally spotting this one. TFTC.
With the weather improving, it was time to cache my way, on foot, down to Shoal Bay. Quick easy find, only comlicated by a very loud muggle, on the phone on her nearby balcony. Thanks Madstars.

The GPS was having a bit of moment for some reason and couldn't settle on where we should start looking. It took a while to locate the cache and it was Mrs H that eventually spotted it.

Found this on the way to Nelson Bay with Spikeymikey and can't remember this one for some reason. Was I asleep at the time? Sometimes it is hard to tell with me at times. All the same, thanks Madstars for another cache.
This could be a problem cache in good weather, as it's a nice park, and is overlooked by units.
But today was no problem as it was WET!
Cache found easily.

Took us 2 visits, but we got there. the GPS didn't like the trees much and gave lots of variable readings. Hide is an eclipse mint tin somewhat smaller than a "cigarette tin."
Found by Mary & David at 1045. Slight muggle delay here. Loved the parrots, magpies and kookaburras. Lovely trees too. Our thanks to Madstars once more.
Blends in well with the surroundings and good thing it does as there seems to have been a heck of a lot of muggle activity in the past few days but they had no idea it was there. Nice hide in a picturesque park. Shame they want to tear it up to extend the caravan park. When will councils get it through their thick heads that we people come to these great places for what is outside the fenced, sanitised, sterile parks not the parks themselves.

This cache was cleverly hidden and we were happy to find it in no time. Geoson no. 2 was the first to spot it although he was slightly too short to reach for it. Geoson no. 1 was happy to give a helping hand.
Took quite a while to spot this one, but it's amazing how it stands out once you have.

This park was a pleasant, quiet change from the bustle out near the beach and boat ramp, though could be tricky if one of the locals was relaxing outside. I sat down to contemplate the clue and soon found the cache.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache!

Checked the cache today while on my way to check and then replace Shipped Wrecked.
Cache is A-OK....
Just missed a Cacher who signed it today in the morning.
Found at 2.51pm on Bigmickb's Nelson Bay cache assault day. 11 from 12 for the day. Made this my final find for the day. Spotted the young couple that thwarted my attempt at Shipwrecked leaving for the car park as I filled out this log, and briefly considered going back for one more quick look, but decided to play it safe and start hot footing it back to the marina so as not to miss the last ferry back to Tea Gardens at 3.30pm. (Which I made with 10 mins to spare for the record!) Thanks Madstars for a brilliant day out geocaching in a great little corner of the world. Cheers
took me a while to figure this one out. thanks for the clue. nice and quiet here at 7:30am this morning
Well I could actually see the cache and I visited it 3 times but was muggled out each time.
24/01/10 By: The Chicken Coop. Nice quiet spot, listening to the Birds. Easy find. Signed log. Left little Monkey.
Found easily but had to wait for a stream of muggles to pass before retreiving and again before replacing.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I tried this one the prior day but as was hot and a Sunday I could not get a park within 300 meters of the place. As I drove by I saw that GZ was teaming with Muggles so I gave up. Came back today in perfect Cqaching conditions. Eraly morning and a light drizzle, not a sole in sight and a nice quick find. Now off for the next couple on the cirucit of the headland.

Nice little park on a great day for a swim and picnic. A great day out during the school holidays. Wobbly Wallabies.
Found on our last caching hit for 2009 (30th - 31st December) in the Nelsons Bay / Central Coast area.
We wish all a happy new year and hope to see you all at the Wagga Mega Event in April 2010.

This one was found in the dark. The eightenth for the day, a record for us! Thanks all the caches!
This park is behind our favourite place to stay. We found it on the way to Shipwrecked (which was then abandoned until later because of the danger of drowning). A shame we didn't bring our picnic lunch but we did find the cache in this quite secluded place, while insecting the construction details. TNLN, thanks for the hide.
Had a family day, along with ACKC. Well done Madstars, a great cache in a great spot

geo kid spotted this one lots of muggles passing by but amazing what kids can getaway with!!!
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Lovely little park hope the townsfolk manage to defeat the development TNLNTFTH&C
A nice little spot for a picnic, and how typical that the developers want to get their hands on it - hope they don't. A quick find, despite the distraction posed by sunbathers in the nearby caravan park. Thanks for the cache MADSTARS

Pt. Stephens Invasion.2. Looks like the park may get developed, but quiet today and a good place to miove onto the rocks for shipwrecked. Thanks.

Found on the way out to the rocks. Noticed the sign about the council wanting to develop the park. WTF?

Once Tealby and Sol de lune finished their little domestic about 'was there or wasnt there a car spot in front of Mtrax' [B)] we trotted off as friends again to Halifax Park
This was another cache where being a little bit vertically challenged had me bowing down and letting someone else take over.
Thanks MADSTARS, another gooden

This was a quick find in a park that we hope will stay a park. We believe the council shouldn't re-zone the land as it provides easy access to the beach as well a pleasant open space.
In the park we managed to exchange a few friendly words with one of the Canberra teams as they stormed back from the beach. They were on a mission.
This was our fifth find of the Port Stephens / Newcastle Invasion Event.

We headed to the beach before returning to grab the cache this one took us a while. The man placing the rezoning posters everywhere kept us on our toes. While hunting the cache we watched some Lorikeets have a bath. We also had a chat to the guy putting up the posters and are now under obligation to write to the council. It is a fantastic spot and I wish him all the best with his campaign.
