Logs
I have some days of in Dunedin so I rented a car and visit some interesting places and special Geocaches. Lovely weather today even if the morning was pretty cold!
All the tasks were no problem, but I couldn't find WP1. After reading some previous logs I recognized that it must be gone, so I started - like all the others - to look for an object which fits with the clue. Found the building not so far away and soon spotted the logbook.
A bit annoying that the CO does not respond to all these previous logs about the missing first waypoint!
Thanks for hiding!

Nice hide, found with the help of the hint as previous cachers have. Found waypoint 1 also but ????. Signed the log with DocnDi TFTC
Got the coordinates for way point 1 quickly, bunked down under the slide to avoid a shower. Way point 1 seems to be missing and might need replacing. so had an idea where the final would be from the hint and previous logs. The cache took quite some time to locate as I wasn't sure if it was GZ or not but got there in the end.TFTC
Pleased to find this on the second try. Had found the waypoint months ago but it was way off, must have got the numbers wrong. (Thanks for the hint). I'd heard it had been found so off I went, a couple of false starts due to muggles and with logs studied I knew where it had to be!! Result!! Yippee!
After attempting this many months ago with no luck and seeing a recent log I headed out in the dark. A bit more experience meant locating it this time was no problem at all.
Read old logs waypoint appears missing. Read clue found the spot and thought is that it. Sat down while people moved on then grabbed it. Thanks
Couldn't find anything at WP 1 - and only arrived yesterday, so no local knowledge. Darn it,

Good idea for a multi, but try as we may we could not come up with coordinates that were close to GZ.
Managed to locate the cache from the hint - good hide.

Love everything about this cache and will have to bring Adventure Youngun back here to find it. Especially happy because I picked up my CacheMobile from the Downtown Service Centre just up the road and the bill was waaay less than expected! Happy Dance all round!!!
Worked out the cords to the waypoint quickly, but I discovered nothing after a little hunt around where the waypoint should be. Just as I was giving up I had a look at the hint, and a lightbulb went on in my head, went straight to ground zero, and soon had the cache in hand (hope that's not cheating ) TFTC
A nice quick one to fill in a bit of time while my wife did some shopping nearby. Just felt a bit guilty stepping in to grab the cache. TFTC
Solved the multi a few weeks back but there were muggles at GZ who obviously had no intentions of leaving as we waited for a good 10 minutes to no avail. Driving past today and it was all clear so a quick dash and cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Three attempts at the waypoint and I'd had enough! I can't find the blighter anywhere! Reading the logs below, turns out I have zero local knowledge also, but whilst google-mapping a nearby business, something caught my eye. Never even seen that before...!
So, today I thought I'd give it a crack. It was one of those "well, it will either be that or it won't," and it was! I do hope nobody saw me though - that would be tricky to get on a busy day! When I went back to my car I heard "excuse me", my heart sank, I thought I was going to get a telling off. Turns out it was a lady who was just moving here wanting to know if it was ok to park around the area. Phew!

Had the nephew this weekend so was a good excuse to come to the park for a play. Busy wee place this lots of kids come here to play. Got all the numbers and worked out the rest but a local knowledge helped at lot with this one. TFTC
I did the first part several months ago but with too many people around I didn't try the waypoint. The clue for the final made its position quite clear and I saw what might be it in a very exposed position. Today all was quiet so I had a go at the waypoint, couldn't find it so moved on to what I considered might be the final. This time it was hidden by growth but it was soon found and revealed to be the final.
Admitting I'm a sucker for historical buildings, so the hiding spot had me hooked. That, plus the cache yielded a nice wristband thingy which I swapped. Cuz' it looked pwetty ^^
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Nice find while kids playing in the park. Had trouble with the coordinates at first but got there in the end. Cache nice and dry with plenty of room in the logbook. Thanks R-Hs
The littlest Rex had a hankering for thenearby amenity, so as she gallavanted, Mr Rex did the sums and came up trumps.,,great final location, by the way. TFTNH(AWATC) - Thanks for the nifty hide, as well as the cache...
Hard to get the numbers right but easy enough to guess where the cache was. Thanks

Came down to Dunedin for a weekend to attend mums event, and have a general good ol' family catch up time!
We had been to the dinner place across the road for dinner - very nice - and then decided that a cache was a good idea! But the boys didn't think so - but I was sober driver and used the excuse of I needed to fresh air walk the booze off! (Haha, wasn't actually the case, but gave me and mum enough time to make a run for the cache!! )
Looked around, and soon knew where to go. Pretty cool here! And very nice final! Can't believe I haven't ticked this one off on previous visits!

I'm not sure if this is cheating but I used the hint and local knowledge to go straight to the final, rather than use the GPS and waypoints (I guess I only cheated myself?). I spotted the hide as I was walking up to it. Thanks.
With local knowledge the hint help us a lot. We had to redo puzzle a couple of times to get it correct. Took travel bug left another travel bug. Love the hide - had seen another local cache of this type and recognised it instantly.

Our chosen multi to find for the August souvenirs challenge - we brushed our hands over the cache a couple of times before realising that the thing was in fact what we were looking for, TFTC!
#312 coords slightly off - must have got a number wrong. But then the clue dawned on me. TFTC
Lovely little multi cache. Helped by the previous logs the location of the cache was quick but took me a little longer to work out which was the cache!
Manipulated the cache container to fit 1 of the 2 lids we bought (1 too small, 1 too big). Good to go again.
Found it. As the log book is tripple baged its bone dry. Only problem is that as the cache doesnt have a lid the plastic bag corner is visible and may get spotted by muggles.
Found this by accident as we are much more observant these days! There appears to be no lid though - getting a bit wet.
Another great little multi. Worked the numbers last Sunday while at Soccer with my daughter but as I walked along to the final, I realised that this time of day is just too busy with muggles and I will need to do a night mission. Luckily I had two nights out coming up. So I circled the area looking for the most likely hiding places and then read the nearby memorial (which I didn't even know existed until that very moment). Day 7 of 31 TICK. Before my PTA meeting tonight I whipped by GZ honed in on my best guess and there it was. Very obvious for a seasoned cacher that has seen this before, and extremely well camoed to the muggles. Well done. TFTC Left Sherlock Holmes GC to help the next cacher with their searching.
A cold windy day on the verge of becoming damp meant the area was clear of quizzical eyes. A pleasant lunchtime geowalk with a clever hide at the end. TFTC
Nice little puzzle right around the corner from where we were staying. Check the container... as the top was found off of it and the contents were wet. TFTC!
TFTC, worked out final coordinates in December and finally got around to completing it
All roads lead to Rome, but in this case .. to the cache. With the too specific hint and a well worn track there was no problem confirming the location of the Hide.
A quick grab today on the way home from work as part of the ADVENT-ure Challenge http://coord.info/GC4234P that I've set for myself and others this year.
This cache is pretty close to work, so I'm not sure why I've never been down and picked it up before now! Still, glad that I did, a neat hide that didn't take me long to track down. A great wee multi for a young family to easily work out, and loads of fun available on the playground! Thanks guys.

Spied it long ago, but just never managed to get here without muggles befire this. Thanks for the multi US04.
I originally found this as part of the dakotacats team but I have my own username now so I am re-logging as whiskasnz. Thanks.
21/Oct/2012 : After the CITO flashmob in the Octagon we decided to give this one a go. The kids played on the flying fox and monkey bars while I did all the hard work. Didn't have any trouble finding the cache as there were lots of footprints leading to the cache - looks like the council has had a good clean up in the area - there was only soil to walk over! TFTC

Found this one with Wazza&Kara as part of our NZ Mega Visit 2012
First time we attempted this we went in seek of a 'hint' and found the exact opposite - Couldn't stop laughing - inside....
Had another go and this time hit the target.
All good with container though it was out in the open so we replaced it back to its obvious preferred location.

In town for the NZ Mega 2012. Spent today on a caching run with Karma Reprint and Kiwi_moose.
A nicely done multi with a great final. Completed just before the Cito. Cache type 5 of 7 for the day (mystery, Letterbox, Mega Event, Trad, Multi, Cito & Wherigo).

Found this multicache when visiting Dunedin with Skibeagle163 as part of the Mega Event.
With a set of co-ordinates in hand we set off to locate the cache hide......only to find a suitable object that in no way resembled the object described in the additional hint.
Obviously more work was needed.
Back to the original coordinates and some work work later we arrived at a more suitable setting and quickly located the cache hide.
With the log signed, we were off in search of another cache.

A nice wee multi to get another type ticked off for the day. Beaut weather for it! Out on a MEGA caching run with Karma Reprint and Team Gators. TNLN Thanks
A good place to pick up rubbish for the CITO later on in the day. The gardeners must be wondering what is going on with all the footprints in the freshly dug garden!
A days caching at the 2012 Dunedin Mega, with the Lincoln lads, Kiwi Moose and Team Gaters Thanks for the hide.

Had an idea where the final would be and sure enough there it was. Great wee multi. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Log is very mouldy and disintegrating. Nature of container does not provide much protection for log or contents in this environment
First fiind after arriving in Dunedin, got off the bus and sat in the park to assess what caches I would do, to find I was only a few metres from WP1. A few muggle problems though fortunately at that stage no kids around, a family turned up just as I headed off to do the final. Log is very mouldy and disintegrating, this cache could do with a better container though in this location that might mean swaps may no longer be possible. I would be cautious about retrieving any that had been in this environment anyway.
Several trackables visited which will add over 600 km to their distance travelled!

I felt like I should have borrowed a kid was a bit silly on my own in the playground, but luckily not many people around in the wee hours of the (holiday) morning - and if I do end up with a kid I'll definitely bring them here, the playground is awesome! Clever hide for the waypoint, too! Final a bit exposed (eg. no cover)? TFTC!!
A perfect cache for us for two reasons: it was really close to our accomodation and it involved a playground wich our son loved . We had one problem with findingnthe coordinates - we did not know what a seesaw was but we asked a girl in the park and found out . It was a good hiding TFTC! Family DallasJr from Sweden
The fifth find for the day with ingidayna. This was a bit of a fluke as the co-ordinates we got were completely out, but with the help of the clue we managed to detect where we should be A very cool place for a cache. Cheers
Found in the dark with kelly_maree. Initially I dismissed the waypoint as unconnected to the cache, so was glad that I came back for a closer look. A clever waypoint and clever final container - cheers!
Gpsmith and I did the initial part of the cache a couple of weeks ago, but because the area was being widely used we couldn't search. So took the opportunity of being out at a quiz night tonight to grab a few of the higher muggle zone caches!
Was interesting reading the plaque that was nearby, I was born here and had no idea what it was for!

Found very easily as the lid was off the cache and the logbook clearly visible. The cache was a bit wet but the logbook was dry. Replaced lid firmly, hopefully it stays on.
Fun lunchtime grab.
Waypoint 1 spot on.
Guessed the GZ from the clue but still did the full search.

Thanks for replacing the cache! We enjoyed the start of it, but found the final muggled. Since then, we toured a bit around South Island and returned to Dunedin for a few more days. We were thrilled to see the final replaced. We stopped by tonight and signed the log. Thanks!
Waypoint is correctly positioned and still in place. Replaced final with new cache. GTG.
We did the initial part of the cache and looked for waypoint 1. No luck. Joined forces with macgyer08 who had tried to find wpt 1 earlier and all of us could not find it. Then decided to just go for the final, as macgyver08 had done. Went to where we thought it would be, but to no avail. macgyver08 confirmed that we looked in the same place as he had found it earlier. I have every reason to believe that the final cache is gone. Wpt 1 may still be there, but should also be checked.
I too did this one in reverse having spotted the cache far too easily and exposed from the footpath. The container was in poor condition and the contents wet. It may need some maintenence. Grabbed the Tick geocoin as its been here over 6 weeks. TFTC
Papa had an idea where this would be before setting out on the hunt and wasn't dissapointed. Sort of did this in reverse as after finding the cache Guwapo went to spend time in one of his favorite places - a playground. Had a look at the workers plaques on the way as well. This is a very nice playground although the flying fox thing is not working at the moment. Salamat!
Nice final stage! However, I found it only thanks to the clue. I wasn't able to find the intermediate waypoint..... searched and searched and searched. And I'm pretty sure I counted everything in the playground correctly. I hope it's there somewhere. TFTC.
