A lovely location for a cache with great views and picnic facilities.
As per previous logs, the cache was empty. Left a sheet of paper set-up as a make-shift log, and a 'Teds' camera card (Took some photos while geo-wife logged!)

Found the cache, but the box was completely empty. Nice walk on a beautiful winters day in Hobart.
We were unable to find your cache, or even get anywhere near it. Very wild seas and also flooding in environs. Check out the photos, and you may need to check your cache as well. Thanks anyway we enjoyed Blinking Billy.
I have been here many times, it was nice to find a cache here to do on a walk. I also bumped into an old friend (TB Bright Spark) it was good to catch up. You need to take a pen (Long way back to car!!!) tftc.
Much easier to find when we ignored the clues. Found on the way home from a bagpipe gig - even harder to remain inconspicuous in full tartan regalia but successful! Dropped off a travelling trackable - RAWME3. Bound for all Aus capital cities.
lots of suspicious muggles around with their 4 legged muggle friends!! one in particular seemed very interested in what we were doing so we had to be very careful!!
great hide.

What a lovely spot. Very calm day on the Derwent. Cache hunting with Tassie Trekkers. Took Grape Geocoin. TFTC.
Location Location Location what a lovely spot. Found with whitewebbs. TFTC
Nice easy find and amazing views. Facing the river and wonderful water views and scenery. Turn around and what amazingly large houses with that wonderful view. TFTC. Left Grape GC.
Dropped Geowife and JABs Kid 1 off at the end of the alley and headed to the top to wait. They rejoined me with great excitment that they had approached GZ and seen a couple that looked like they where up to no good (well looking for a cache anyway). After a few introductions the cache was located and bid farwell. Always great to another cacher in the wild.
JABs.

Met other friendly geocachers at same time! What lovely people! Left fancy 50 cent piece and took shell and golf ball. Beautiful view!
Found together with Archer-man, had to wait a bit because of plenty muggles muggling around,
Found on the last full day of our holiday in Tasmania. Very pleasant walk down to GZ. An interesting spot. TFTH
A quick find down by the river after completing a nearby cache. Very quiet down here this morning. TFTC
Found with MtnLioness on our week-long sightseeing, touring and caching tour of Tasmania.
Found the right rock eventually, though not at the "seat". Thanks

Found in the company of MtbikerOz (Dad) on our week of Touring and caching around Tazzie.
Have only been able to log these once we got back to Melbourne.
Nice history, love the house 'surrounding' that lighthouse!

Quick find with ColdFronts. Great hide in a very interesting location although it is just starting to get a little damp.

This sure was a popular place for Muggles walking there dogs, I enjoyed the walk along this track where the cache was found after a short search. My thanks to Will and Sue for the cache.
I found another cache at this location many years ago when I first started caching. This one was surprisingly much harder to find as my coords floated me around all over the place but persistence paid off. Great views.

We are on an “Escaping Christmas” and “Geocaching” holiday in Tasmania. We’re not sure if it is a bad sign that we were keen to go caching on Christmas Day – but we found it a great day to cache as there were very few muggles around! Unfortunately the weather was a bit gloomy this morning so the views weren’t as good as they could be but were still good. We tried to find this one using the clue but in the end went with the listed co-ordinates instead and found it quite soon after – not sure that the clue is very helpful at all. TNLNSL TFTC
First cache found out of five total today. Great views of the Derwent! A few dog-walkers and other various muggles were around, we just climbed around the rocks and held our arms up to the breeze and looked like we were having fun (well, we were!) and they beamed at us and walked on. Took a seahorse; left a seashell. TFTC!
So many options... So many scratches. So many... Is it wine o'clock yet? TFTC. Loving this Tassie caching caper... Sensational views from here... Nice and briskly breezy.
Gorgeous little spot. Obviously the rich and possibly famous think so too. TFTC. TNLN.
It was raining lightly as we walked down to Blinking Billy, so after grabbing the cache we went to investigate the fortifications. I didn't know that there was a lighthouse down here, bit of a bonus really. They have sure built that house close by!
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
It has been over three decades since we last visited this area. The Hobart City Council has certainly completed extensive work, transforming the former overgrown and uncared for area into a great foreshore area. People obviously appreciate the area by the number of muggles passing through. A quick find. TFTC
Lots of muggles so needed a stealthy find technique!!
Found after some searching on a glorious day.

Found - despite the area showing damage due to the recent high waves. The cache survived them all!
Swapped a toy car for a badge. Thanks.
Swapped a toy car for a badge. Thanks.
Travelling with UncleTom3 again. This was a very nice spot - but you have to dodge the muggles. TFTC
Noted previous logs and ignored the hint - just trusted the Garmin. Immediately spotted the obvious location and just had to wait for a brief muggle-free zone to retrieve it. Dropped off a Travel Racer TB to continue it's marathon. TFTC. Lovely spot - if we'd been a day earlier we might have even seen a newborn whale calf.
Looked for this one one onan overcast day,was mot having much joy, until I decided to trust the gps implicitly, which came up trumps,spot-on. Didnt have a pen to sign the log, unfortunately. Thanks for the cache.
Found on my third attempt! Serious cacheblindness on this one, but I was pleased to finally find it for myself, without any extra hints. Like Reborn Cyclist, I was put off by the hint on my previous attempts and for 5 minutes today (and it didn't help that the previous cache hidden here was closer to what the hint described), but I finally looked with fresh eyes today and found the easy and sensible hide. TFTC!
Found as dawn broke over the Derwent - got the cache back in place just a muggle jogged around the corner. Thanks Will and Sue.
Came in at dark and had an easy find. Some nice properties around here. Cheers Gav [6063]
We had been swimming here many times but had never taken the walk around the point, thanks for taking us there, great find, coords were spot on. Finally a journey suitable for the pram. Thanks, the geokids made small swaps.
Lovely stroll on a chilly but sunny day - beautiful views. Easy find but plenty of muggles around - tough when the geokids are yelling out "maybe the treasure is over here!!". In company with Owens6 and 8 geokids. Swaps made by geokids. TFTC.
In order to try and speed things up, I followed the hint instead of the GPS, which meant I took 5 minutes longer than I should have!
Normally covered in muggles, but a rain shower had sent them all scurrying.

I had a quick look while working here before Christmas but today was more leisurely as I wandered around with my grandson. I didn't need the GPS this time and after discounting a few locations I soon came up with the right place. A great place for children AND adults. TNLN. TFTC.

Found by Mary & David at 1100. A wonderful piece of history. It took a while though as there were so many muggles out walking. Never seen so many wet dogs! Some lovely real estate around here too. Our thanks to Will and Sue.
Managed to find and return this one in between fairly regular passing groups of weekend dog-walkers. Close to excellent playground for junior members of the party. Took nothing. Thanks!
Great view from here, and very expensive houses nearby. Sat down, started to drink take-away coffee and eat Qantas muffin and retrieved the cache unseen. TFTC
Found by geo kid e all by himself left marbles - as my wife said I am lossing my marbles and e took the army solider - what else does a 7 year old boy want! Beautiful 38 degree day and more perfect place to go for a walk

This was a last minute get before heading home. A quick run and a quick find. Jr Geo did the honours this time. Nice hide. TFTC TNLN
The GPS had us on the sea side of the track for this one and we spent a long time picking up rocks. Gave up on that and ignored the cursed thing and then found it fairly quickly. Had a local with me who knew exactly where we were going for this one. If it hadn't been raining would have been a great spot to sit and enjoy the scene but on this wet horrible day it wasn't an option. Thanks, will return on another day.
Caching with my sister for the first time - think she will get into it now. In Tassie from USA. TFTC.
Our 6th find of the day - hurray. I had my eldest daughter with me and she was enjoying the exercise component and her first real go at being in charge of the gpsr. It was getting late in the afternoon and plenty of people out walking the dogs, the kids and the oldies. We had to wait a short time before we could search but it was a quick and easy find - in a spot that I would have chosen. Replacing the cache took a little longer and the cache spent a bit of time up the back of my jacket - but eventually there was a break in the foot traffic and we placed it back in its hidey hole. SLTNLN. TFTC
Thank you for taking us to this area. It has a lot of history and it was very interesting. Took TB.
Nothing swapped as this was a first time outing for snorkelmonkey. Beautiful views and lovely weather. We were about to leave when we finally stumbled upon his little hiding spot.
Nice walk along the sea front, dogging muggles and their dogs. Got a quiet bit and went for the cache. Good spot. TFTC
Found at 1345hrs as my 79th find and third for the day. it was fun dodging mugglers; granparents and grandkids, mothers and fathers with the rug rats, lovers holding hands etc. Didn't get caught though. Loved the views. Cheers and TFTC OldSaint
An enjoyable early morning walk took me to GZ where the cache was found at 0730hrs nicely tucked away and keeping warm. Nice bit of history too.

well I'm stumped! I know we were at the right place according to little garmin. and we did as the encrypted clue stated, but could not find the cache anywhere. well hidden or just gone, I don't know. This was our second try to find it.
We found it is very hilly near Blinking Billy. We also said a few things silly about Blinking Billy as he was hard to find at first. Garmin was pointing in the wrong direction on the two visits and only after a severe reprimand enabled Lady Bug to make an easy find at 1035 hrs. Great location - would love to own one of the houses here! TNLN Thanks Will and Sue for the cache and the exercise!
Nice quick find although very chilly, so I didn't sit around for too long. Nice little hiding spot: Thanks for the cache, Will and Sue.
Nice easy find (in the dark)...lol
Think we were parked in some one driveway tho....lol
Anyway all is well at GZ
thnx

What a great spot for a cache. Beautiful views. Done lots of caches today so needed a sit down ! TFTC
After a bit of muggle dodging, found the cache with a little search. Took the advice of the clue after we found it but not possible until!! A great walk, with a fantastic view. I loved the nice breeze!! TFTC.
Took a Geocoin and left the Four Elements Geocoin to enjoy the spectacular view. Catgirl left some treasures and took the bath bomb and a pen.
Located in much less time than it took for muggles to leave.
Took geocoin.
Nice to come back here again.
Thanks W&S

Quick cache find for GeoWife, almost foiled by a number of muggels but we were to quick. Took Jeep travel bug and left Todie's Wild ride GeoCoin. 70th Cache for Us!
First find in Tasmania. Very popular with locals, but no wonder as it's such a beautiful spot. Great cache, thanks Will and Sue.
An absolute beautiful day to take this wander along the Derwent foreshore to the Cache. Had to wait for a few muggles to disappear but didnt take long. TFTC Thanks
Lovely sunny afternoon, plenty of muggles thought the same, but we did it. Exchanged goodies and left a geocoin. Thanks for this - we've been meaning to come here for some time.
Grabbed fairly easily, although I waited fer ages fer tha old muggles ta leave before deciding 'SoD it. They won' notice'. An' they didn'.
It is so nice to have all these reserves and parks along side the river. Some are so hidden that you need a cache hidden there to find them
This parks not as hidden as some and I enjoyed the walk in from the nearby shops. But my search was slightly misplaced and in ten minutes of looking in the wrong places the council arrived [:o]
I waited patiently while they unloaded the truck and got ready to do whatever it was they were going to do. Of course I hoped that was going to take them around the corner out of sight, because I had now worked out where the cache was
But after all the unloading, it was obviously break time and there they sat [:(!]
I gave up and revisited a few hours later. Success this time, but only just. As I filled out the logbook I could see them walking back from the jobsite. I got the cache rehidden just in time
Then the clouds opened up and I got a good soaking running back to the geomobile [:o)]

I happened to be in the area with the GPS and noticed that a new cache had appeared here. I too had to spend a minute or two admiring the view waiting for some muggles to move on but then quickly found the goods.
TNLN,
thanks.
TNLN,
thanks.
I am sure that I have been here before and found another cache hidden in a strikingly similar manner but then again I can't be sure.
Anyway a great place to visit again and the cache was easily found in between muggles.
Thanks

If I remember correctly, this is the 3rd cache that's been around here! But on a day like today, another visit to the area was definitely warranted; warm, breezy and sunny - can't beat it.
Had to wait out a little bit as a couple of old dears were perched on one of the benches, but the happily moved on in about 5 minutes while I explored the bunkers. Thanks.

What a great place to sit and enjoy the view and the sea breeze on a day that Tassie recorded it's highest ever temperature. (41.6 degrees at Flinders Island Airport). TFTC. Left Bunya's Geocaching Dragon coin to breathe fire over the water

Finally found it at sunset tonight, I am sure I looked in that spot last time!
Had 8 sets of eyes looking for it this time, started out with only four sets but bumped into some of my brothers in law on the walk along the beach!
We left a few quiz beer caps but didn't take anything.

We just had to grab this one, but like a lot in the last couple of days, the tast for us was not finding the cache but finding how to get to it!! When we did, we hunted, no one was about, then Mark made the find.
Cheers Will & Sue was nice to do another of your caches while we were here.

Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.
