After walking around Queen Elizabeth park for an hour, I wasn't thrilled about leaving the car and walking these tracks picking up caches on the way. So I cheated and drove to the nearest entry points. I love being out in nature and amongst the quiet. Once I established the right hint object. Log was soon in hand. Tftc.
This was the first geocache I have ever attempted to find so my amateur searching skills may have been the lead cause to this failure. Area around was very wet and soggy. Beautiful views of the lake from this angle however.
I will surely try this cache later along the road once my skills have increased.

After finding a way to access this track, I enjoyed a lovely walk to GZ. Other than having to avoid the toilet paper and gross dodgy stuff as i deviated from the path.
It took a bit of search to find the spot, but I got it in the end.
Thanks for putting a cache at this lovely spot.

A nice quick find thanks, after looking more methodically. I came down from the top and the track went down a long way/.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather most of today, except that it was very windy!Today we cruised from Masterton to Whanganui. The fun part was getting an unrepairable side wall flat tyre in Paihiatua, and rolling the tyre down the main street for a repair!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Traveled down to the Wairarapa late last night, so up early about 6am to go get some geocaches, lovely walk on a sunny morning TFTC
Took a little while to find this one! Lots of leaf cover and incoming rain. Lake is lovely and trees are still looking very autumnal round here which was a surprise. TFTC
(# 6531). A trip over the hill to the Wairarapa to grab some caches. A nice little walk to the GZ. A quick find. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
this is a very late log as i have just seen that it has not been logged while i was going through my photos While on this lake side walk we stopped at the bottom of the hill and reflection of the house and trees on the lake were beautiful so i took a photo i also took a photo of the bug hotel we past on the way ,
We got to G z and immediately went to where we assumed it would be but no it is not a ful height log so it did take quite a bit of scratching around and until it was located Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.

A not so quick find and a good cache.Wrote the log and re-concealed carefully.TFTC!
I had a rare opportunity for some Geocaching in Masterton today. Mrs B and our daughter were having what they call an 'M and M Day' (both their first names begin with the letter M), which means an extensive shopping trip coupled with sharing an obligatory packet of M & M chocolates! Anyway, as the thought of hours of shopping is not at all appealing to me, I get to use such days for Geocaching instead.
I'd just completed finding the 7th Wonder of the Modern World in the 'Wonders of the World' souvenir promotion a couple of days earlier, so did a search in Masterton for only caches that I hadn't found and that had an Ancient Wonder available. This one was the closest for me today, and also one of the most appealing from the cache description. We've driven in and out of Masterton to and from our daughter's house scores of times past the walkway that leads to this cache, and had talked about it to our daughter too, but had never set foot on it. So I parked in Fourth Street and set off towards GZ.
It was very windy and some spots of rain too, but that never came to anything. By the time I reached GZ I was starting to get warm at last. No muggles about, so I didn't have to look stealthy while searching for the well-concealed cache, which took me a few minutes to find. Then my pen wouldn't write, but I soon fixed that and had the cache back in place and could set off to look for the next closest.
Thanks mumandme for this cache that finally lured me onto a nice scenic walkway that I'd often wanted to visit. For that reason I'm giving this one a FP.

A lovely view from the top, made the walk down the hill worth it. Ducks were very disappointed I didn't have any bread with me. Unfortunately, my pen didn't write well on the paper, I just about managed to scratch 'info' and the date, but I have a photo of the log if needed. TFTC, cache in excellent condition.
Post covid-19 check. Replaced soggy contents and added a fresh new logsheet. Moved to a slightly drier position (hopefully) and changed hint accordingly.
We travelled up from Castle point to Masterton today for the new adventure lab series, and while we are here we thought we’d pick up some caches in the grassy areas and reserves around the town. This is a lovely place. Thanks for bringing us here.
A quiet little reserve to stroll around. Went straight to the cache but the contents are a mucky mush, probably because it was in a sump. Luckily the paper is waterproof! TFTC
Lovely day for a walk. Found after some searching. Watch out for the thorns? Thank you.
Great walk round the lake. Took me far too long to find this one, there were a few hint objects lying around, but got there in the end. Log was damp, but signature should be OK. TFTC
Back home in Denmark again from my 4th visit to New Zealand.
Luckily I had some time for geocaching when there, so now it is time to log my findes.
This cache was found, and the logbook was signed.

This is a great location that we would have never found if not for geocaching. Cache took a while to locate, but the previous logs and hint led us well. Cache is a bit damp and could use some maintenance.
Found on a gentle evening stroll through the area with my girlfriend.
Did not know these trails were here!
Clue was helpful for this one. Cache a little wet, but the sun was well on its way to setting, so couldn't dry it out too much.
Thanks for the cache!

Last cache on a fine day on a caching expedition to Lansdowne, an area I was unfamiliar with till now.
Came down from Titoki Street as I had been doing the cache near there.
A very pleasant walk.
As I arrived I heard a strange noise which it turned out to be from a pukeko on the lake, I was hoping it was in a good mood as I have heard stories of them getting aggressive in the breeding season but I didn't bother it and it didn't bother me!
While I was hunting for the cache a friendly beagle ignored its owner's orders and wandered off the main path to come and say hello, so much for stealth!
Spotted something likely to be the hint objects as I arrived but didn't spot the cache so spent some time hunting around, was hoping not to end the afternoon's caching with a DNF. Was on the point of giving up when I took a second look at where I started and spotted the cache.
A bit swampy under the cache but it is not affected by that so far and is in good order.
Returned via Titoki Street and enjoyed watching a nice horse trotting around the paddock, unfortunately it wasn't close enough for me to be able to get a photo.

This area is just so peaceful and nice and loved the lake with all its ducks, cache took a while to find but is still in good condition!
nice quick find, wasps were coming and going what looks like a rabbits hole, we left them alone and carried on our hunt, dad took a thorn to nose but soon spotted the hint. thanks for the placement cache all in good order
Went searching for this one but my search was ended prematurity as I spotted a bee or wasps nest along the fence line near GZ. Not wanting to upset the locals I begrudgingly walked away empty handed. CO may want to reconsider location.
Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot. The lake is a great location to take cachers to.

In town for the xmas holidays and this was another cache that was discovered and an area that we had never been before , and of course we took the downhill to the cache which meant we had the uphill to the car.
We noticed one part of the lake had a reddish oily pattern to it see photo

Suspect this has been muggled. Found the site and the rock as per the hint, but no cache.
What a lovely spot. Autumn colours and ducks on the lake look beautiful. Log very wet, but could sign. Thanks for putting a cache here.
#3135. I decided to come over to the Wairarapa today so I could find 30 caches as part of the requirements for the MGSc challenge. I had planned for a series of easy park and grabs out in the boonies on the back roads north east of Masterton. But just before I went to fuel up, I discovered much to my horror I had left my plastic cards in my jeans back in Wellington. So with just enough fuel to drive around Masterton and then head back home again I had to radically change my plan of attack for the day. Parked up on Titoki Street and walked downhill and around to this hidden lake. It was covered in a bloom of algae today but there was still quite a lot of waterfowl present including an Australasian Coot with a chick. The cache took a few minutes to locate as the grass is very dense in here and it was well covered. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here. A very pleasant walk on a baking hot and clear summers day.
Mum, Dad and the littlest muppet, who is an awesome geocacher, out on an adventure. Tftc
Came around the corner and dropped my jaw. The lake looked stunning on this beautiful sunny day. There's a rotting carcass at the entry point to the cache that whiffs a bit. Otherwise all is well. Lovely spot. Tftc.
We attempted to do this one last night but didn't read the discription that said you can't access from fifth St oops. Back this morning where we parked on Milton road and made the steep walk down. All quiet here this morning. A quick find for us interested to see no names on the log since 7/2015 tftc
My apologies - the area is currently a bit overgrown but the cache is still there and we have cleared things a bit so that the hint object is now in view.
Looked long and hard but no luck. Looks like things may have changed a bit since it was last found. Also difficult to get a solid GPS signal near GZ.
#6542. Very nice walk in Opaki on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great autumn colours of the lake and surrounds. There were a couple of walkers on the trails, but GZ itself was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Second of five finds on this pleasant 5-6 km Sunday morning walk. Took a few minutes, just a few, to locate. #607. TFTC.
Quick found...bud in this cache there is something in that is living!?!... I think it could need a check up?

Nice climb down and up from Mildord Down. Pretty houses too. Cache was wet but log dry. Tftc!
Parked as suggested in Fourth St. Soon realised I hadn't updated the co-ords on Skindo's Maunsell Dam cache right at the start of this walk so this was the first search. Easy enough find beside the oasis although the sistema was full of water and the plastic bag containing the log was completely useless as a water-barrier. Consequently the log was soaked and the only way to record the find was to hold the log against a dry fence batten to suck some of the water out of the paper - not an entirely successful exercise.
As the cache was well hidden and as protected as it could be from the weather, I'm wondering if the sistema has had it, especially as logs from just last December indicate that the cache suffered a similar fate back then.
Nevertheless, this and the other caches on this pleasant and surprisingly peaceful walk so close in to town, made for a most enjoyable outing. TFTC.

Carried on along the path to find this one. No trouble once the in the area. Once again the tracks were in good coindition and made finding the a very enjoyable walk. TFTC
