Had noticed the DNFs but still thought of checking this site out. Phoned a friend who found this one while here for the Centre Victoria RadioFest two years ago for an extra hint to find this one but no find.
Kyneton seems to be living in the past
Despite some attempts to promote itself,
on my wander around the historical bits this morning I left with the impression the local council is allowing it's history to slowly decay through neglect
The Mighty Tiger's Historic stand is a cache in point.
From the outside the stand looks the part, but on climbing the steps, I was disappointed by what I saw
There is pigeon poop absolutely everywhere [:o]
I didn't spend too much time poking around.
Actually there were not too many places to poke !!
A few minutes of looking and I was satisfied with a DNF
Thanks for the past history of the Mighty Tigers [^]

Hey we have been looking for the cach for ages and think it might of been muggled could u please tell us where it is? If its not there I will be sure to notify u looked every where:/ thx:D
After relocating and with clues of a high hide, found some perfect hidey holes up high but no cache. I'm certain of last find 2 months ago its been muggled...
2 hours in the stand testing every brick and bolt. Was looking forward to this one too
Found the log in the carpark then searched for the cache. container lid was off and contents spilled out. Signed the log and put it all back together and well hidden.
A tricky hide, but not very well concealed when gypsy jj and I found it. Now wel hidden TFTC
Well, it turned out today that the Mollison Street entrance driveway had been cemented recently and so we were not able to get in that way. Fortunately the gate at the back was open and we were able to drive in near the stand and soon without too much trouble had the cleverly hidden cache in hand.
SL TNLN. Managed to drive out before the workmen shut the gate - thank goodness!
TFTC feathertop and our first visit to the Mighty Tigers Football Ground.

Found it but didn't look hard enough so after another 15 mins looking came back and found it proper I blame it on the lack of light found with 2 novices tftc
So started a weekend away that took in just over 100 caches, including 4 First to Finds, about 1000 days towards the Unloved Cache Challenge (GC3KWWQ) and some really fun adventures both solo and with new and old friends, topped off with a great well attended event cache at Wedderburn.. (with yummy food too) Thanks to all the various cache owners along the way and my apologies upfront for the copy / paste style logging of those 100 odd caches.. Some of the Caches hadn't been found for between 6months and 18months which added greatly to my 15years required for GC3KWWQ.. Thanks..
Many of the caches were a blur and thus there isn't too much I can add from a single cache log point of view, my apologies to the cache owners who each have put a lot of effort into their respective hides..

Find #2537
Find number 63 for Team Mooo.
This took me longer than it should have, but I got there in the end. Was a little difficult to replace though, when someone appeared complete in fluro yellow vest and walkie talkie. She sat down for a coffee right within eyesight of where I was so I had to just sit it out and wait. She disappeared for just a couple of seconds and I tried to replace it in the limited time I had, but I'm not sure I did as good a camo job as what there was originally.

A nice find on a quick visit to Kyneton
The cache was in the first place that I looked , but I missed it.
So after 2 mins I recovered the ground and quickly spotted it.
I haven't been here for 20yrs. So this was a nice stop.
I also came for the TB but found none. Oh well.

A quick find by Mr Beetle while Mrs B cleared away the lunch things. Had to outwait one athlete training nearby. Glad it was Friday and not Saturday though as we might have had to pay to get in. Thanks.
Needed to stop for a break and this was a great spot.
No one around mid week and the cache was an easy find.

This cache formed a pat of my weekend away. We came up Kyneton for the Saturday / Sunday to watch some racing at the Kyneton car club. There was lots of time in between to do some caching. I grabbed this while the other half got some breakfast for the crew. I spent a lot of time looking on the wrong side but once I worked out I could be on the other side I quickly found it. TFTC
This was one of three we did on the way from Melbourne - Bendigo. Needed some fresh air, this was a nice quick cache with a great view! TFTC feathertop!
One of 182 caches I personally found on our "Ballarat Smackdown" trip. This was one of several I found before the official trip started, but for me traveling from Tocumwal, it was the first of my finds. "Ballarat Smackdown" trip included teams Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Haveanez, Dazrascal and myself. Caches included around 30 mystery caches, a few earth caches, lots of trads and multis and both day and night caching. Some 4WD action was encountered as well, which was great.
I took three of my kids, Jasmine 7yo, James and Jemma 5yo twins, travelling from Tocumwal. The trip covered 3 days and two nights, staying in Ballarat. Quasar3671 took his two boys as did Haveanez. One of the best caching trips I have been on, and certainly lots and lots of finds, almost clearing out the main Ballarat area.
After meeting up with Trailrunning (Adrian) we grabbed a few caches in the area. I was running low on gas, so Kyenton was the place to go to get some. Did that, found a few caches, this was one of them. TFTC.

I had a few hours before the official start of the Ballarat Cache Smackdown on the weekend of 23-25 March with caching buddies Quasar3671, Blacklegend, Haveanez and Dazrascal so I decided to go for a bit of a drive along the Calder freeway and pick up a number of caches. I soon found Blacklegend on his way down the Calder freeway, so we paired up to gather a few caches we both hadn’t done. He was travelling with three geokids so it was a bit of fun along the way. We had a great run visiting some pretty interesting places. I like this type of caching where you visit some really interesting places. Thanks to all the CO’s for their efforts, I really enjoyed the search. BL was running low on fuel so we stopped in to this little village and picked up a couple of trads here. Cheers.
Very clever hide. Didn't think it could possibly be hidden where it was. Tftc.
Passing through Kyneton on the way back to Bendigo. Tried to get this cache once before, but it was a footy day and the place was nuts. Today the coast was clear and managed to find the well hidden cache. Took geocoin. Left TB. Thanks feathertop. Nice hide.
This log marks the 1179th smiley to be recorded in the stats of WazzaAndWenches.
Another trip to Melbourne and another chance to find a few caches along the way...
This was a detour on the return home. On arrival the gps pointed me straight at GZ and a quick find was made. As I left GZ a car pulled up and eyed me quite suspiciously. Glad they weren't a minute earlier.
Thanks The Two Feathers.

Had a crack at this with Geo-dad on the way home from Daylesford.
Pretty sure we were in exactly the correct place, but no cache was to be found. We upset a bird. Will contact cache owner to verify.

Busy going through my GSAK database and updating caches I haven't sent a log for. Have been using GSAK to keep tabs on my finds. Thanks to the cache owners for the caches. Working my way through those caches that require emails with answers.
No muggles around here on Sun night..
Very quite.. good timing for me to find it without look over my shoulder..
Found it nicely..
Good one!
Happy find it for the last one today.

For the second time today in the four caches we found, we bumped into another cacher at GZ. This time it was Coburg3058, who happens to live only a kilometre or two from us, a long way from here. Had a chat about caching and iPhone apps before pointing them in the general direction of the hide, which they found very quickly as we watched.

Found today with The 2 Wanderers and TilleyTB
Thought we were going to have to give this one a miss as there was a lonely muggle sitting in the stands watching us. Decided to make a coffee/hot chocolate and see if he moved...Mr Wanderer went over to pass the time with him while we made coffee. After the chat he departed and the cache was quickly retrieved, log signed and cache replaced before anyone else appeared. TFTC

GRRRREAT CACHE! loved it glad that 'feathertop' put it there perfect place!! TFTC TNLN
After speaking with the owners of TB12CEZ9, I have grabbed this cache to move it on and add its mission to the TB in a Plastic pocket and moved to a TB retreat.

A quiet afternoon made this a quick and easy cache, not sure if it is a 1L container though. TFTC.

This certainly would be hard to extract on game day. The GeoKids enjoyed showing Nana where the caches are hidden in her home town. Nice hide. Swaps made. SL TFTC.
A rushed trip to Melbourne for non-caching purposes, but we thought we might as well get a few on the way.
Nice to stretch the legs. Quick find. There was some non-cache stuff in the cache, so we cleared it out. On this 3 day trip, we found some amazing stuff in caches, including unwrapped chocolate - with fluff, several different batteries (green and rusty), cash (not much, so don't go hunting!) various broken bits and pieces, things that belong outside the cache - such as slugs and dirt and rocks, and lots and lots of unrelated bits of paper.
Thank you, feathertop.

A quick grab with Just a cacher on a run through the Victorian countryside, and a chance to stretch the legs (both 2 & 4). We took the opportunity to do a much needed CITO on the cache and take in the view with a cuppa.

When we came here, their where no game, but a lot muggels around so we had to spend some time before we could go and log our visit.
Staying with friends in Kyneton & all went for bike ride in search of GC. Phone GPS not so good, but found it eventually! Good hide. Thanks to DK.
#1236 @ 3.25pm. Thankfully the Mighty Tigers weren't playing today so we were able to park near GZ. Had to be strategic with the grab and replace of this cache as there were some runners practising their sprints whilst we were there. Nice hide by the way. TNLNSL TFTC feathertop
Had to be very sneaky seeing as there were plenty of muggles around doing little athletics.
retrieved the cache easily, but just as I wanted to replace it a muggle mother and her two children came right into the area, thankfully they had their backs to us for just the right amount of time.

As we pulled up we noticed a couple of familiar faces walking away from the site, so we pretended to be muggles and asked them what they were doing. After a good catch up chat, we proceeded to the cache, and had to extract it whilst little athletics was going on around the place. Thanks feathertop great old structure. TFTH...SL...TNLN

22/01/2011 10:15 Found: #215 On way to Bendigo for a day trip. Geowife suggested we stop in Kyneton to look for the patchwork shop. I could see we were very close to this traditional so as we drove down the main street I just pulled in. She wondered why, then asked if it was a cache (I can be sneaky)! She was a bit hesitant as there were a few muggles about, but really not enough to cause me any issues so I went looking alone. I followed the GPS and guessed where it must be. A quick grab and we were signing the log. TFTC TN Left geocoin. SL

Found the cache with Geo_Lightly on arrival in Kyneton for a short holiday. The river was threatening flooding the town today, so we appreciated a cache on higher ground. TFTC
Thanks, good thing the cache is up high to stop it possibly getting washed away. After realizing we were at ground zero, but still not near the cache, it was a quick grab.

Thanks for bringing here. My dad played for Kyneton in the early 50's. I understand he was quite good. I would loved to watch him play! We also trained here for his Bendigo 1000 win and lived across the street. It has been 30 yrs or so since I have been here! editing to drop and pickup up some bugs for mileage. Tnx

Lovely Christmas morning to find a cache on my way through town.Nice hide in a quite area. Thanks for your effort.
Reperio at 1655. Arrived at GZ a little apprehensive as being a beautiful day, I figured there would have to be some sort of sports training going on. Bt fortunately for us there was only one person going around picking up rubbish. Picked the likely location where I figured the cache would be, and it wasn't long before it was found. Great little hiding spot.
Gratias.

Robmc was quick off the mark before I even had a chance to plug in the co-ordinates to the next way point of the multicache we were following thus ending up finding this traditional one first.
I always get tricked by the altitude of caches!
Thanks again feathertop.

We started the Piper Street cache, but heading in the wrong direction (drove off before the next way point was entered), found us at this traditional.
After a few seconds we realised where it must be.
A group of muggles were having a slow stroll around the grounds, but they didn't notice us.
Glad there wasn't a game on.
Thanks, Robmc.
