I was in the area today and thought Id grab the few caches that were placed along this piece of road. I made the clamber to the GZ where I found the cache. The cache container is in a state of disrepair, the lid is brittle and smashed in. The container was full of dirt as a result of this. The log was dry enough and I was able to sign my name and replace as well as I could to protect the cache. Thanks for the cache
Nice easy cache for Tuesday morning walk, did notice the lid on the container is all broken
Passenger with dsi. Always like visiting here, autumn or Wintertime is my favorite time of year.

There was probably a better approach for this one than the one we used, but we got there. tftc
One of three caches located today on a cycling outing. I was in the general area and realised this one wasn’t too far away. A bit more pedalling, a short walk and I was there. Reasonably quick find. #6190. TFTC.
Smelly underfoot. Came at this one from above. Those old miners sure turned the ground over
Need 50 today for a Geocaching Licence Challenge. Thanks for all CO's placing these, especially those with safe parking. This is number 8. Thyme cannot hide the smell of something rotting nearby. Nice cache though.
Today while walking our 'son from another mother' dog we thought a few local caches was in order. With the dog leading the way this cache was soon located with said dog from above. Beautiful views, beautiful October day, and cache in good condition

We are out and about in the area finding some caches and enjoying exploring and revisiting other areas again.
Great views from up here.
Thank you BirdFlu.

We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. Today is the opposite. Just one Tour Cache in the area but we take what's on offer without bikes and within our capabilities. It appeared that the long way around was the safest and fastest. It was all that but a narrow path would have been just as safe and much faster. It was good fun and a much better opportunity to take in the big picture. Thank you Birdflu
Up in Alex accidently, we had intended to stay in Roxborough and ride the bike trail down there. But unbievably no accommodation down there so we staying in Alex and road our bikes to Chatto Creek for a beer. Perfect.
Pocked around for awhile figuring out where I should be but quick find once I was in the right place at the right level. TFTC

Had a great look around at the tunnels and enjoyed the smell of thyme but no find for us today.
Jammed my thumb in the van at work so a few extra days off work so back up this way for a few more days and some more caching. Nice and easy to find. TFTC
Found with StreetWalker as we explored Alexandra, letting cache hides be our tour guide .
We drove to the Parking co-ords then walked to GZ. Most interesting area, though if you don't like the smell of thyme, you're sunk .
Spotted a tell tale pile of stones from about 30m away and sure enough, there was the cache. Later on, we had a birds eye view of the area when we went up to the lookout. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

#16916. This area is a real moonscape! We walked from the parking coords. The guard rocks were visible from some way off, and the cache was located after a scramble up the bank. TFTC.
On our South Island adventure from Perth WA. A nice easy find with Spuddycakes in tow. TFTC
Just completed the Otago Rail trail and tomorrow we are going to ride the Clutha Gold trail. A rest day in Alexandria walking 18 kilometres and cycling 6 kilometres geocaching. TFTC.
Parked relatively close here and headed over before any motorbikes ran me over. Easy find in a great area. Tftc
A short afternoon bike ride to stretch the legs. A bit further from the rail trail than expected.
The start of the trail for me today ...good to have a nice easy find and start the day right thanks BirdFlu for the cache
Really enjoyed looking at the tailings from the miners. After a coffee and scone we were off to complete day one of cycle rail trail. Cache soon spotted and signed. Thanks for bringing us here
A quick find. There were a couple young hoons doing laps on motor bikes, having a great time on these tracks.
