What a great day to walk this trail. With the whole family over the high hills, the kids loved it! Some parts very steep but we made it
All family memberd searched for quite a while at GZ but no luck. Seems to be missing...

I hadnt realised this one was so close to the Glen end. After finding the cache I decided to call Nanzie who had returned to my car at Cable Bay and asked her to drive around to The Glen rather than me walking all the way back to meet her. Thanks for the cache SoBad

Out for a walk with Ms M. It has been a very looong time since we have walked this track looking at the placement date of this cache. A beautiful day with great views and a lovely seat to enjoy eating our lunch on.

A couple of weeks ago we walked part of this track from the Cable Bay end so today we decided to 'attack' it from The Glen to find the cache we ran out of time to look for last time and to seek out another one as well.
Another stop/start walk got us to here eventually and that is when we discovered neither of us had a pen with us. Hazedarus took a photo of the cache and has posted it with his log.
Thank you SoBad.

On a wet and windy Sunday I was just pushing buttons on my Geo-profile and somehow arrived at my dates-placed matrix.
With still a few gaps staring at me I consulted Project-GC which suggested to do The Cable Bay Walkway and snaffle Cable Climb then a plan was hatched.
Limited time allowed us to only do two caches from Cable Bay but with a commitment to turn the Walkway into a string of smilies we were on our way once more today but this time starting at Glen Duan.
We checked what Glen was doing and worked our way up to the lookout. After we sat down and pondered the formalities which were now just, you guessed it, formalities. That was until we reached out to each other for the pen. Oops! A picture was taken which hopefully will be accepted "in lieu".....
The views are still as good as they were when we last visited here before we started caching.
Thank you SoBad

A great view from here, but this is where we go back. Which means, when I think about an up and back trip to the first cache on the Glenduan end a while back, and our up and backs today, I have done a fair bit of this walk without doing all of it once.
We met a young lady here, had a brief chat then she left and the search began in earnest. Long story short, could not find it. Logged a DNF, then rang the CO who promptly replied, and we have a replacement with authorisation.
It’s a mint container (all I had on me unfortunately), so expect the hinge to rust off (or rust shut) in a few months, but it will suffice for the moment and it has RITR log paper. Thanks for allowing the smilie SoBads.

Was heading through to Nelson from Blenheim for a weekend triangular squash tournament against Nelson and Westcoast....so the plan was to go for a walk here before all the games got under way.
Parked the car down by the beach and wandered up the road between the houses and onto the farm. Initially took the farm track up the hill which wasn't too steep - but came down the steepest part back to the car. Wasn't great on the poor knees either.
Love the views from up here.... stood for a bit and took some pics before heading further along the hill.

Found today on a very windy walk from Cable bay to Glenduan. A beautiful view from up here. Worth the climb. Was happy for a sit down by this point too. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing, TFTC
Too nice a day to be sitting around so I decided to rope CXL150 into a walk along the Cable Bay walkway which, I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve never walked despite it being one of those iconic Nelson tracks.
(I did check that the track was reopen after the recent temporary fire risk closures)
Having dropped the car at Cable Bay we got dropped off at The Glen and set off up the track.
A DNF at the first cache was soon rectified here as we made our way to the high point in the walk.
Lovely views back over the bay today and starting to get warm.
Thanks SoBad

Contacted the CO's and asked if we could help with this cache as we were going to do the Cable Bay Walkway today. Every other time I think about it it seems to be in that small window that it is closed for lambing season.
Called in at the CO's, had a cuppa (thanks), had a natta, grabbed the replacement cache and headed off. On approach to GZ a muggle was just starting lunch. Without telling him he wasn't hungry and should move on - I joined him and had a bite as well. My lunch turned out longer than his and soon after his departure established the cache was indeed missing. Placed the CO's replacement cache according to instructions and all is now good with this cache. Onwards to Trust.

GPS lead me straight to the Bench, no find. Looked all around the area for a while but no sign, beautiful views though!
Couldn't find it today.
Spent about 10m looking and touching every part of the bench but didn't find a cache.
Maybe I was looking at the wrong spot?

Took some German boys out for their very first Geocache, so it was a good introduction!
In the area today for a walk over the Cable Bay track so an opportunity to pick up a couple of nearby caches with Tregearp, OldTom1959 and Pine Code Wanderer.
A quick find. All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks again SoBad for another cache.

Quite a tongue and cheek name for the cache and coords were spot on, a quick find with SJT_NZ, PCW and OldTom while enjoying the views, all in good order.
Found by Mrs Emvy-us (without GPS) while out walking with a group of friends. Amazing views were enjoyed by all from this spot.
Cool little cache with lots of stuff in it. The two under tens I have with me appreciated the Easter egg! TFTC
Heading for a cache that was placed during a month that we have a gap. I was very pleased to find the seat here. GK had to move fast to find and sign the log as there was a man approaching from below and another five people after him. No worries. Had a chat to the man then we left before the group turned up. Great views on such a stunning afternoon.
New logbook put in today. We were surprised the old one was full until we realised it had a lot of accidental muggle finds recorded in it. Cache was rehidden a little better. Lovely up here today.
Breathtaking view from up here! Thanks for bringing me here (and breaking a chain of three DNFs on the way up).
The travelling fox is relieved. =^_~=

Waiting at fertilizer pit for muggles to leave. Great day though finally got it T4TC
The elder statesman of our caching team recently retrieved this hide without any device at all. He just knew this would be the perfect place for a hide. And it was. TFTC #404
A heart pumping slog up the hill from Glenduan but worth every second of it for the award of amazing views. Thanks for bringing me up here SoBads!!
Out for a tramp with the group today. So the chance to do a cache on the way. Quickly found with the help of my muggle tramping friends. They are all happy to help me but not so keen on actually signing up. I guess I am just providing an interesting diversion on the tramps we do. Anyway, all good fun, and TY for the Cache today – a beaut day for a walk in the area.
lovely views even on an overcast day. well worth the climb...bit steep though..lol
Boxing day. Misty. On top with no views. However glad to be here walking off all that Christmas pud. TFTC Sobad. Merry Christmas.
Walk on the wild side...wind...so strong, at one stage unable to move forward into.
Farmer losing plenty of grazing to pigs and goats (young ones around too).
So, maybe once again we are shown to be hopeless.
That said, cache where we had looked...this time in plain view. Had been found by non-cachers (who knows where).
We left in same spot, but moved the rocks over on to it.
Thanks for the cache.

"some-one" has us keeping tabs on coastal ports all over the place, today, a day off as long as we are in cell phone range, so a local walk was on.
For several different reasons (even a wedding up top!), we have driven this walkway a few times, biked it a few more, run and walked it quite a few.
Today, finally cache it....thought we had looked for one here previously, but seems not.
great view.
We have spent a whole day with car here at this very spot a while ago as a a C.P.
As for the cache, we think we understand the name, but where GPS took us, we could only find rocks. I wonder if we were looking in the right spot.
A return trip for us some time. Glorious day for a DNF.

Found on a beautiful day! We did the whole walk today and the views are amazing. Unfortunately we missed the cable climb cache and didn't want to walk so far back. Tftc
Cool veiw. A track from here that goes up to the top and it was covered in snow this weekend
A lovely walk form the Cable Bay end - this was as far as we went before heading back the way we had come. A beautiful view.
Found on day one of a 3 week geocaching holiday in upper South Island. Really nice weather today and visited some very good caches. Spotted this cache fairly quickly - pretty tough walk in the heat today, but really liked the area. SL TFTC
Low cloud and poor visibility up there this morning. Was pleased the cache hide wasn't where I thought it was going to be! Quick find in the fog- is there normally any view at all??? Good one, thanks.
Great walk on a windy/rainy day. Views still stunning. The 3 little ones with us took out the Kids Community Coin to move onto another location at Waitangi Weekend.
I have wirless equipment up on drumduan so will hunt this down when im next up there!
Was convinced I had found a cache here before, but it would have been a long time before this one was hidden! We stopped here on a great walk through today, although we had about 50m visibility max at GZ due to low cloud TFTC
Nice to do the walk again, this time starting from Cable bay. Not much of a view today unfortunatelly, low clouds and strong winds but very nice to stop here for some water and a muesli bar to continue down hill. + GC -TB TFTC. Have a happy 2010!
Quick find with workmates on way to cable bay for lunch.Great views today.Left geocoin
Very strong and cold southerly blowing across here today
so we were glad to find the cache quickly.
Great views.

After doing "What's Glen Doin' ?", we continued with a false sense of self confidence. Terrain 3 huh? Just because the sheep keep things nice and trim doesn't mean you can push a buggy up here . Very thankful for the seats along the ascent, and Mr B's guess as to GZ was wrong as the GPS led us to the actual place. Jr B had cache in hand before Mr B could sit down and have a drink. We had promised ourselves lunch at the top, so with a glorious day and fitting view, we rewarded ourselves with food and water. Great way to start the day - TFTC.
lucky guess as i forgot to put this one into gps. memory cant be to bad as i remembered its name.
A pleasant afternoon walk with a friend from work, up from the Glen and back via the loop track. Last time we were at GZ it was in white out conditions so missed the view, today we got to see it and what a great view it is. TFTC.
I found a lot of caches with my Dad - Biggles - and never logged these online. Now I've got my own account, its time to set things straight. Thanks for all the fun, Flying Phoenix.
I've been meaning to do this walkway again for a long time but I always seem to come up here when its lambing time.. So today, right time of day and great weather. Even managed to pursuade Foxy and Lil' Stu to come along. For Lil' Stu (8.5yrs) this was always going to be a tough 'are we there yet sort of day but he made it! Great spot, Awesome views, TFTC, Biggles, Foxy and Lil' Stu.
Nice spot for a breather and admire the view. Sailed across the bay yesterday on "Quinella" in much less pleasant conditions!
Not too hot for the climb up here this morning, Nice to get out after a hard week at work for #400 finally after a hiccup last weekend, You have a wicked sense of humour! (400)
What a great walkway havent been up here since we did a school trips with the kids ( Many years ago) after meeting Sobad at an early cache today thought I should do one of their Walked up the road and back down the track lots of cows and goats but no people today, some great views, shame i left the camera in the car.
Dropped of one of my new coins for a short vist.

FTF 1042am what a eventful walk we had first we saw a man and his dog swimming in the sea then we met 2 Swiss guys, further up a Dutch couple and on the way back from the Cable climb we met a Danish couple and their baby. thank you for taking us up this wonderful walk way to the cache which was a quick easy find TFTC.
