A day in the Wairarapa today beginning in Featherston, then onto Martinborough, over to Carterton and behind then down to Greytown for the night. 18 Ad labs, 22 trads, 22 mystery and 1 multi, 4 muggled out so didn't look and only one DNF.
Quickly spotted while enjoying the view. Thanks for the cache.
Quickly spotted while enjoying the view. Thanks for the cache.
There we go — the last cache to clear out Martinborough area! Quick find, though in an unexpected spot — wondered if I’d extracted some rubbish. Cheers Yeetrees!
Log 22 woke up feeling good now I feel hungry mummy's been a good gurl #vin
Heading to Martinborough for the weekend. Quick stop here for the view of the town. Cache sitting out in the open with many a piece of rubbish around. Only guessed it was the cache due to its container.
Thanks!
Thanks!
It was hard to find with so much rubbish around! Excellent view, and nice stop
Hard to distinguish one piece of rubbish from another but a bit of rummaging came up with the prize. Great view.
Day 1 Cache 25 of my mad mission to the Wairarapa for the 100-10-7 Challenge. Wet and rainy day today but cachers must carry on. The lovely Ethness has joined me as driver for the day. Why is there so many parking spots here? Anyway nice and convenient. On our way to Martinborough now. TFTC.
Out and about enjoying a spin with the lovely Ethness in the Wairarapa today . We just had to stop here and take in the views and find this sneaky cheeky cache thankyou. Have been down on a wee roadie enjoying some great caches.
Unable to find anything but this looks as though it used to be the cache, looking very sad and needing archived or replaced
Think we had the clue down packed and looking in the correct spot (due to sign missing hard to navigate. Having to log as DNF until sign is returned I think.
Sign is faded but hint still helped me find it after a few minutes of searching. TFTC
Love this view. Hint was spot on and made for an easy find. Signed log and replaced where found. Picked up a trackable here. TFTC.
Great view over the farmland. The sign has certainly faded! Dropped off a trackable which I have had for quite a while and taken on a variety of trips. Time now fir someone else to pick it up. T F T C
A nice park and grab on our way into Martinborough. Great views from the lookout despite the overcast and cloudy weather. We could have almost reached the cache from the passenger seat. We found the cache a little further down from the faded sign than we expected
Stayed a night in Greytown, now finding some caches on our to Cape Palliser on this very hot day. Third time here, soon had cache in hand, signed and return as found Thanks Yeetrees for the cache.
Been in Masterton for a week of work. Got time off to collect some caches in the region. Quick grab here and signed on our way to Martinborough for some food. Enjoyed the evening light on the hills. Thanks
With the prospect of a nice long weekend available, I decided to spend a day or two over in the Wairarapa chasing archived Skindo puzzle caches and any other caches I would be passing right by including this one.
I haven't been here in years! Twenty years ago, when I lived nearer Wellington, I would pass this way on my way to visit the Martinborough Fair, although we were always in too much of a rush to stop and truly enjoy the views. That almost seems like a lifetime ago.
This was a nice and straightforward park 'n' grab. The cache was found exactly as per the Hint, and encountering no real issues with the cache or the contents, I was able to swiftly sign the log before replacing everything exactly as found and heading back to the car.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Catching up our logs from a weekend in Martinborough. Found with bkj97. Although he was looking where he thought it should be and I found it. Tftcsl
Found with little blue hen. Catching up the logs from last weekend's excursion to Martinborough. Cache about 2 metres from where we expected. Replaced where found. Tftc
Tried for this one years ago without success (maybe muggles). Quick find today. Tftc
Had to really scuffle around for this one, but finally got it - nearly gave up after day's exploring...but the view was worth it. TFTC YeeTrees
A nice quick stop on the way from Greytown to Martinborough, a beautiful view. The cache was a bit out in the open so tried to cover it a bit better before we left. TFTC
Found after a lovely brunch in Martinborough. Traveling with my non-premium son! TFTC.
If it is Friday it must be Martinborough. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. We have planned a driving tour of both the north island and the south Island. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 3:43 PM. Thank you Yeetrees for placing and maintaining this cache.
Grabbed this one on the way from Greytown to Martinbrough and on a clear sunny day had a superb view. Thanks CO for the cache.
Quick stop while visiting Martinborough- shame about the discarding of rubbish near GZ. THTC
Today we found "Here we come, Here we GO" (Wairarapa) on our travels. Initially we were distracted the view, then tourists& finally by all the rubbish lying around. Got there eventually.
Thanks Yeetrees for being part of our geocaching fun.

#704. GB Leader and I have spent today on a caching spree, starting in Featherston, then doing the triangle to Martinborough, Carterton and Greytown, and finally (as the wind starting really whipping up), back to Featherston. There were some really tricky and quirky caches around. Great fun! Final tally for the day: 23 finds (a new daily record for me), 3 DNF’s and one “not sure.”
Great view from here. The cache was lying out in the open, so after signing the log, I covered it up a bit. #4 of 23. Sorry Yeetrees, didn't take a photo of me as requested. Ttfc.

Caching with Sidewaze. My apologies for late logging, my thanks to CO for taking the time to place the cache and giving us the challenge of finding it. TFTC
Wow what an amazing view! I commented as we approached that reading maps gives you absolutely no idea what you're going to see when you get there. Awesome to discover nga waka a Kupe. Thanks for ensuring we stopped and had a proper look .
Don’t overthink it! Much easier than I first thought. Thanks. Happy newbies here!
Over in the Wairarapa for the weekend, visiting friends in Martinborough. They were kind enough to ask "do you still geocache and are there any near us that you haven't done yet?" This was the sixth find seventh of the weekend and the last for the day. An absolutely fabulous view. TFTC.
Than you for the cache
**SO** nice to be able to indulge in Geocaching fun without the infantile "Premium-Only" exclusion.

Found while driving over to the Wairarapa for a weekend of sightseeing and some cycling. The cache was in the open but with the grass grazed so low by the sheep it was difficult to hide it reasonably well. TFTC
Cache # 4,200 - a very quick find on CelloJoss' and my day out in the Wairarapa, as we finished with sightseeing in Greytown and headed to Martinborough. All good. TNLNSL. TFTC!
I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
I stayed in Martinburough last night and will be staying at Greytown, spending another day in the Wairarapa.
Nice view. I over thought the hint.

Just parked up beside the panoramic information board and the phone ran out of juice So no photo I'm sorry But it is a great view and I now regret that I did not stop here years ago to take a look TFTC
Heading for Martinborough for a night or two to sample the local wines. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it. Stopped off to survey the land and found this cache easily. What a view! SL. TFTC.
Thanks Yeetrees ....
Was in a van on way to do the Tora Coastal Walk with a group of 8 from Auckland.....and my muggle friend jumped out and passed it to me cos she was near the door !

nice views from here I took a photo which i will log later.
A serious geo caching day! Not so much about numbers but a dedicated pre planned set of caches covering a fairly large area and many of the caches were puzzle caches we had solved or had qualified for. . We travelled 400km, found about 70 caches and were out on the trail for 15hours, so it was a big serious day.
We left about 6.30am from Palmerston North and travelled thro to Masterton where were picked up out first puzzle cache. And then travelled down the back road towards Martinborough locating the 100 and 250 caches for a month -our main objective!. We stopped at Kokotau reserve for a late morning tea cum lunch but the cache here eluded us even with three searchers and a double look before and again after lunch. We replaced several skindo caches along the route with either new containers or water proof logs as so often they were soaking wet. We side tracked up several side roads for caches and we visited Stonehenge on the way. and then headed into Martinborough to initally look for the cache in the town square which had stumped geodatum earlier. As always PJMacNZ solved the retrieval of this cache and we then headed to the pub for a much earned break and tea with Devonshire scones Yummy! We then continued on our way towards home locating other caches in Martin borough and then on the back route up to Greytown to locate the Cobblestone museum cache which I have searched for on numerous occasions. PJM was able to find the Virtual cache there which was a plus for him. By the time we left Masterton it was starting to darken so we gave away the idea of locating the newer Eketahuna caches. They will wait for another day!.
It was a great day and combined effort by all three of us. Thank you to my partners and the Cos for these caches. Lots of smiley faces and project GC points to boot!!

Stopped at the lookout fir a scenic moment and thought "this would be a good place for a cache". Turned in the old cache locater and sure enough there was one 2m away! A bit of stealth required once spotted due to traffic but soon signed and replaced

While exploring NZ from Australia we had the chance to visit some dear friends who showed us some sights around the area, after we had to leave to head on the rest of our way we managed to make a stop here, log retrieved, signed and replaced as found, thanks for the cache and the fun.
Think this would've been easier heading south, but managed to park and walk back to it. Nice view. Could see a rain front approaching from the south, so it was a quick sign and off. Cache all good. TFTC
I am on the way to Palmerston North for Easter. Took the ferry Thursday night then drove to here, getting here about midnight. A lookout! Bound to have a cache! It was hosing down - over the Rimutaka hill it was even worse - a legacy of Cyclone Cook. No wind though, and the ferry crossing was probably the calmest I have ever experienced.
Anyway, I didn't fancy getting saturated, so grabbed the cache when I woke up at 5am. Still pitch black, which made finding it a little harder than it should be - I found it by feel. My eyes don't work this time of night. Check out the view in the photo.

The view today was very similar to the photo in the description, overcast but at least it had stopped raining. Great view, a lot of traffic on the road so I had to time the retrieval and replacement. TFTC Yeetrees

Had to work on that one for a wee while but finally had cache in hand. Great view.
