A surprising view I didn't know existed. TFTC

Now we know what you mean by don't go over the rail!! Did not take long to find the well hidden cache and unfortunately it was a misty view due to the rain this am! It amazes us as to how far houses go up a hill at times but guess it does give them good views!

While visiting my geocaching sister we decided to spend some time caching.

The hardest part was standing up there in the wind, & getting the log book out but easy find

We do believe that this cache should have two different terrain ratings: the one allocated by the CO for those arriving at GZ in their geomobile and another one for those who are silly enough to walk up to GZ pushing a couple of geo kids in a pusher. An easy find and a nearly as difficult descent back to the geomobile. TFTC and the great view we were introduced to - worth the walk.

This was our 6th cache find in a caching run of 12 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9597.)

Today's cache run was primarily to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, (which has been going since New Years Day 2014.) Our "next closest" route took us to some wonderful & scenic locations.

We were travelling in the wrong direction to make the turn, but aquick "U" turn fixed that.

Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.

Couldn't find it! Looked for ages up and down the street! Argh! Any handy hints? Hope it's not gone.

Finally found it!

TFTF we went hunting with torches and geokids and geohubby and found it .. Well hidden ...signed and put back

our very first geocache and its in our backyard couldn't find the hiding spot.. would love a clue as we have to get this one first … will look again soon

Out and about Gladstone, new to town what way to get to know your way around than go on a geo cache hunt. TFTF cache is in good condition signed log.

Admittedly, I didn't look too long, but someone in a car was looking at me funny and driving away quite slowly, so I decided to get away before someone came to tell me not to jump. I've done a few caches in similar locations before and, while I didn't have any luck in this, I'm hoping for luck next time I give it a go

Parked impulsively and thought I would stroll up 90m or so. It became steep and very long grassy. A change of plan saw me able to park very, very close. Great spot. TFTC

TFTC! After pushing the geokids up the hill in the pram, we met a lovely council worker near GZ, was doing a great job weeding the garden. Had a quick chat, then he moved along and we signed the log. Beautiful sunny day for it too.

Found it with Geobrother, wasn't that hard to find.

Nice easy find while out with Geobrother, not a bad view from here either, and the cach container seems to be making its own camouflage if you know what i mean.

Found while visiting family in Gladstone. We are visiting from Townsville.

Able to disappear to Central QLD for family visit over a couple days ... and able to sneak out for a little geo-therapy. An overnight visit to Gladstone brought about this little visit:

Of course I took the hard way up to this before discovering there's an actual road up there. Left Mrs Prime (muggle-wife) in the aircon while I braved the heat for a thankfully quick find after the walk. Cheers

With the caravan parked at the Calliope Rest stop we took off in the car heading towards Gladstone to pick up some caches. A beautiful day and an interesting assortment of caches kept us entertained. Nice view and some nice houses up here.

Found on our trip to Gladstone for the Ulysses Odyssey. It was a very cold and raining heavily all day - and still we geocached! What a view - must say this for Gladstone there are views everywhere. Did not go over the rail and we did find the cache! TNLN TFTC.

Got to this one just in time to see a stunning sunset over Gladstone. Mine and Bean Caching's first sunset together =) Got some lovely photos.

This was the 8th and last cache of the day. Our last cache in Gladstone infact as we leave for Tully soon. Great finish to an eventful day that saw me get a flat tyre on my bike so we had to walk 2 hours home! =P All good fun.

Bean Caching walked straight up and plucked this one. Some wasps have taken a liking to this one and built their nest almost touching it. Didn't notice until he had grabbed it! Putting it back was a bit of a task as the wasps could see us coming!! Cheeky blighters.
