Logs
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner maintenance for an extended period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) and then repair the cache within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication/action.

If this isn't going to be replaced, please archive it so it doesn't show on searches. Cheers
I was passing by again with FMZ who had found this previously so stopped for a quick search again; still had no luck locating it.
Didn't manage to find this as I couldn't spot one of the things noted in the hint.
Ha ha, loved the reference to Rod Stewart, but could not find this one either
First cache of the day at 12:02 am while driving back from the MEGA Night caching event with KirsTim. A nearby dog went ape which woke the owner up. No sympathy from this cacher.

#786 Another cache found on the way back from night caching with Riser5 and Jayrod7. Very quick find here- and I'm glad because a dog starting barking as we shuffled around GZ. Silly doggy, shhhhhh!!
12.02am so our first cache for Sunday. Nice easy find on the way back from night caching at Muriwai, tftc
I'm visiting from Melbourne for the New Zealand Mega which means finding lots of caches and coming here especially to find this one - the whole experience has been fantastic. The weather has also been much nicer than back in Melbourne and that has meant long hours starting early and caching late into the night and not getting much sleep in between. I had spent many hours in the lead up to my arrival in New Zealand preparing an itinerary of caches, solved puzzles and places I wanted to visit and I'm pleased to say I completed just about everything I had planned. For the places I didn't get to visit, well that just means I'm gonna come back. I've seen stunning sights, walked lots of kilometres (and driven even more) met some great people and made new friends which has been awesome.
Thanks Indiana Jill for bringing me here and for adding to my positive experience.

Out grabbing some caches on my way home from the night caching event over at the beach! Thanks for the hide!
Found during the Mega weekend. The weather turned out to be much better than expected, and we enjoyed exploring all the walkways, nooks and crannies. Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches we found.

Found with renelm and Difool, logged as RAD to save log space, time and trees.
I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

Today it is an early start to get up here for the tides. On the way to Muriwai to see if together with YuGeo4, Yeetrees & Sp8sm8 we are able to collect the necessary caches to clear out a path along Muriwai Beach.
As I work my way west this was the next on the list. While it was all quiet here today I can imagine it getting busy at time. A nice and pleasent spot.

Nice quickie on way back from further out on Muriwai Rd ! Used to take my youngest daughter to the Playcentre nearby !
killing a bit of time before a meeting down the road, had often driven past this one but for various muggle situations chosen to keep on driving.. this time the rain was our friend and while there where a crop of muggles limbering up in the nearby hall, we figured some random in a rain coat squatting at gz wasn't going to show them any thing they didnt already know - seemed to work a treat.. easy to spot the likely with "caching mind engaged"
Out in the area on a recon mission for a future placement - but bad weather forced a retreat. Had to grab a few caches on the way back though
zoom level misinterpretation on the TomTom had us on the wrong road - after a quick readjustment we were on the right track for a very easy find
Cheers Jill!

It took us a little while to work out how to get to this one, initially turned down the wrong road where we saw a woman "walking" her dog - driving her car slowly as the dog ran along the side the car, how lazy. Eventually reached GZ and it was a nice quick find for us. Thanks for the hide.
After a little confusion we finally managed to get to the right spot, nice easy find once we were there. TFTC.
A nice quick find as the container was in plain sight. Signed LB and covered container to match hint.

Thanks for this one. WASA thought this was great seeing me try to find this one and gave me the last hint after i found it
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Headed out this morning to locate some of the 101 Dalmatian caches that we failed to find when we did the power trail last year. Having more time this trip, we decided to locate some of the other nearby caches also.
Easy find and despite its location the container was fairly clean!

Thanks to those who have enhanced this cache. Original must be buried. Hint might be upgraded to "Use a stick." Glad people seem to still enjoy this one. Bit of a mess really.
Found with Tramper Ted after orienteering in Woodhill forest. No problems with this one, thanks.

Dropped in after a family trip out to Murawai, cache nicely hidden by a fresh layer of "horse camo". Thanks for this one
You might need to add "and under a lot of horse poo" to the hint. Not the most pleasant of searches I'm afraid. Used a stick to "open" the obvious hiding spot and flick the cache out. Kind of makes me wonder if piling up the excrement of any other animal would be acceptable in a public reserve! Anyway, managed to sign the log and put it back without getting too much of it on me, although I was glad there was a tap nearby. Ah well, it's all part of the fun, right? Right? TFTC!!!

Cache found with Krtik together.
There we spent 6 weeks in NZ on bicycles. Nice trip thru both islands, interesting nature, wildlife, people, campsites, geocaching, etc... I'd like come back sometime...

little bit 'delicate' to retrieve - does the close proximity of all the pony poo make this one an 'organic' cache?? thanks Indiana Jill
After completing my leg of the Telstra Challenge/ harbour bridge ride, I took the long way round from Waitoki to Kumeu to avoid passing all the cyclists completing the course. This cache caught my eye & I've been looking forward to hunting an Indiana Jill cache
What a lovely spot to discover! Absolutely chocker with equestrian muggles today! but it did not pose a problem as they were engrossed with their eventing. I had to snap pics of a couple, because the nickname of my trusty cycle steed is "Silver" (Hi-ho!!!)
The cache has been compromised. I could not find the container, but did find Tufty's replacement log all crumpled up and chucked in amongst the "fertiliser" (no shortage here-neighhh!) luckily it was still dry, so left my mark. Alas I had no container, but found a plastic Maltesers packet discarded nearby so fit the log in & wedged it inside the corner post. Hope it survives the predicted rain until it can be rescued.

Spent 5 mins ... Buried under horse poo?
Reading other logs as I got back to my sister's place I'm probably right. Didn't fancy it - even with the disposable rubber gloves!!

It looks like someone has given the location a good manuring - of the horsey variety......compost and check it out! Nice quick sticky find..... TFTC
Found while dodging a horse and owner. Amazed how well fertilized the cache is! My favourite Rod song!

It is a day to pick up the bits and pieces that I had left for another day's caching.
The logbook was a sodden ball of something. So I replaced it with one of my temporary logbooks that should last for another 30-odd cachers.
Cheers for the cache.

Cache has been well fertilised and the log book is a sodden ball of paper. Nice camo though !
Having a great day finding geocaches. Found this cache fairly quickly between rain showers. SL TFTC
This one was a pretty easy find. The manure was pretty off putting though!
But we'd already done a series next to waste water today, so nothing we weren't used to by that point! Just perhaps it's shower time now...

Found The Cache, With A Little Help, Great Hiding Place And Good For Beginers, Thanks
Some drizzly rain in the morning - first of 2011. Thanks to to the hint I avoided rummaging in the horse poo and found it quickly. I like the hide, thanks.
A short stop. It was a tricky cache. Firstly thought that it would be a DNF. than it seems I got it in my hands without knowing

How could we resist doing this cache? Our daughter's name is Magnolia and she is called "Maggie" for short, so we thought we had better do this cache on our little road trip out to Kumeu. We were quite thrilled to pull up to the "Maggie" cache and find it nestled amongst a grove of Magnolia trees. Great camo. We will upload some pics of our Maggie holding the Maggie cache. She thinks it is her cache now. TFTC!
I think I have rocks in my head some times - the severe lack of coffee can be blamed for finding the spot but Mr P pointing out the cache. t4tc
