We had a great day. Thanks to Richlink for organising it and for placing a few extra caches in the area so we could check out the suburbs.
Bunbury has so many caches and cache teams its become a good destination for a weekend of caching so we will be back sometime in the future so we can find a lot more.
We found 21 caches on our drive down from Perth and while at bunbury itself 6am to 7pm which is an average of 2 an hour. We still felt like we had a relaxing day though as mostly they were quick easy logical finds and were mostly newish so the dreaded "cache creep" hadnt set in.....("Cache Creep"......after a cache has been in place for a while when people put them back they put them in a slightly diffrent location....bit by bit they move away from the original starting place sometime by 3m. When you come back to do maintainence it can be hard to find your own cache)
Now we are in the process of logging them all. (Thats the slow part)
We were also the lucky winners of a unreleasedTB Donated Courtesy of AlliedOz....that must have rated as the shortest heads and tails contest in history. We will make up a tag and send it on its way shortly.
We also recieved our Tea towels from the Albany Event they are better than we expected and should become one of the signature items for event caches.....we wonder if someone will put one of these collectables of ebay ?
We hope to see you all again at the next gathering....

Many thanks to all the teams that attended from near and far, you helped make the morning the success that it was. Congratulations to rjm1 for being FTF on our easter multi and thanks to AlliedOz for contributing a geocoin for the super speedy 'head or tails' coin toss. We enjoyed putting faces to names found in logs and also catching up with cachers met at other events.
Hopefully another local cacher will continue the Easter Bash next year.
Remember: There is no failure in this sport unless you fail to enjoy yourself!!

What a great event to be had by all and thanks to Richlink for organising this Easter Bash including the lovely Easter buns and the games at the beautiful grass park. Nice to meet the other caching teams whom I haven’t met previously and put the names on the faces, and met some fellow cachers whom I have met at the recent events. Enjoyed chatting with other fellow cachers and picked up some tips. Had a fantastic time with R0gue caching around in Bunbury for the rest of the arvo.
A huge thanks to Richlink for the effort put into this event, it was such good fun and the Easter hunt for the kids was a cracker.
It is always good to catch up with fellow cachers both known by sight and others known only by name and reputation, some real WA / Aussie legends It was great to see good people from the Albany bash again.
Thanks to all who participated in the quickest Heads & Tails competition with 25+ people ever best out of 3 next time?
We had a ball, thanks to all.

Great event! Thanks to richlink for organising this Easter bash. It was fantastic to finally meet richlink in person, as well as many other caching teams I haven't met before.
Enjoyed the hot cross buns, and the caching games, and had a fantastic day out caching around Bunbury with Varuna after the event. Managed to find 27 caches all up today!

Thank you Richlinks for a wonderful day. So well organised and something for everyone. You're a great asset to the geocaching community.
Thanks Richlink for organizing this event. We enjoyed the buns, the games but even more so the company of fellow geocachers. There is no doubt about it - the recreational activity we have chosen gives us plenty of scope for having a good yarn to tell. We loved the hides, even the micros, after we found them and Bunbury is a really lovely location to visit and cache in.
WanderingAus wandered by and enjoyed seeing some now familiar faces, and also some new to the game.
Grabbed Hitsinger's Plectrum GC (ref = TB2CDWX), CENT5's European Union GC #1 (ref = TBNWY4) and Louie on the Loose TB (ref = TBKM9Y), discovered heaps of TBs and GCs, and dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.
Thanks for a great event richlink.

Hi richlink, looks like it is going to be a jolly occasion. OzMom and I shall be coming down to Bunbury this October – November 2009. We dearly miss this Event but I shall drop my Geocacher License Geocoin 2009 as a token of support and sharing the joy of the occasion. Best wishes from Malaysia.
We are unexpectedly having guests and won't be able to make it after all.
Hope it goes really well and we look forward to the next event.
Cheers,

Looks like the whole Team will be able to attend. So that's 2 + 2 (unless the new addition comes early and then we might not make it at all)
We hope to be there but may not make it. Anke is travelling back from Germany on 8th 9th10th, is 8 mths pregnant and wants to come but..... this may change.
So, we are a definite maybe!
5 and a half attending, ie 2 adults 3.5 kids
M&A&R&J&C (&?)

The plan was to get up extra early on Sunday and make the drive down from Perth for the day, alas that will no longer happen...
After a couple of very trying weeks at work I got home tonight to be presented with a print out for a 3 night stay in Bunbury to get away from it all!
My AMAZING wife had called every hotel, motel, caravan park, tent site, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse (Ok I stole the last bit) and at last found the only remaining room in Bunbury. She is the best.
So all that said Please mark us down as attending.
AlliedOz aka The Jokers
Adults x 2
Kids x 2
Looking forward to catching up with old acquaintances and making some new ones.
Of course knocking off as many caches as we can while there is a bonus.

We are currently in Mandurah but will put our travel bug in here in preparation for the Easter event.
If our Geodog comes she will play happily with Geo - pup...ours is a golden retriever.
We should have four new caches being published on Thursday or Good Friday...so put aside some caching time this Easter!

Changed date to Sunday 12th April. Seems that it doesn't inconveniece those that have indicated they will attend and it better suits cachers coming from further afield.
Hi there,
The Rhyan Clan would love to be involved and are booked in the area for easter but we to can make it on the Sunday or Saturday but not the monday. So if he date changes count us in. We are a team of 4.

After looking at all the diaries, we have decided that we won't be able to come any day now!

Will attend whatever day you decide. Cheers for organising this and we look forward to meeting you all. Two of us and possibly the geomutt.
We would have been there if it was on Easter Sunday but not on the Monday, Faced with the prospect of joining the hordes crawling back to Perth is not something to look forward to.
If we get a bit more feedback concerning the date, may change to Sunday 12th if more suitable.
Hello - we can be there either day...it makes no difference.

We might come
if the date changes to the 12th (Easter) we won't come as we need to be back up in Perth for that morning
As i said, we might come but we will sign up later as work commitments and other such things might pull us back
thanks
