Decided to revist this one as we were the last ones to find it in
December. It's still there in the same place.

So many cicadas! Great spot hadn't been to this part of the island. Came to the island primarily for the Headlands Sculpture Walk but decided to cache first - so Rusty was our first sculpture of the day and a hit. Tried both old and new coords but eventually got chased away by muggles. We were out of options though and there was evidence of recent flooding.

Either it has awesome camo or I was barking into the wrong bush.

Stunning location. Got disturbed by few lots of muggles - one of which turned out to be my sister from Stillwater doing the coast walk. Watch out for cutty grass! Thanks for bringing us here.

We were on a maintenance trip with little red truck and zippy. Unfortunately this cache was gone. After it was relocated and replaced we were allowed to search again and were the lucky first to sign the logbook.
Zippy's mate is really worth a visit Smile
Greetings, ligi & chilifarmer

This cache had sadly been destroyed, probably by a very high turbulent tide. I have replaced it and moved it to S36 46.395 by E174 59.463. My apologies for those of you who in the past have seeked but not found. It was a chance encounter with the delightful "Chilli Farmers" that motivated me to do some long overdue maintenance.

Agree with the last note that the cache seems to have gone. Or else it is well buried!! The scattered 'treasures' look more like sea-borne flotsam than cache remains.Enjoyed patting the dog and the visit to this tranquil spot.

Think we found the correct location, plenty of treasure scattered about and the remains of a container so it may need some TLC. Great walk

This is a very special cache for us....because we know Laval-k9..I think he communicate with you...I met the laval k9 at a geocaching event just before we leave for New Zeland....and he talk us about this cache who has the same name of one of his dog...But in our original plan we are not suppose to go here...We are cycling in NZ and our plan was to cycle the North and Coromandel...But we met another cyclist who talk about this island and the ferrie to coromandel...so we decide to come...But at that time we have forget eveything about this cache...When we arrived here...it is cludy and windy...so we decide to do some tramping...and we choose this trail..We did some cache on the trail...but what is our surprise when we arrived at this cache...And in my gps the last log was a DNF...This is put some pression on us...But we found it very rappidly...I sign the logbook for us and for the laval-k9...virtually!!!

And we took few photographs of rusty K9...

Found with Kache cat and kache rat. Nice to revisit this bay. I remember the first time when I came by kayak with the kids. Leaving the bay I loaded the kids onto the kayak, then tried to get on myself. A wave caught us and we all capsized Sad Too cold to swim today. TNLNSL. T4TC.

FTF! 2nd (of 3 ) this morning.
I last walked this track 7 or 8 years ago so I was surprised at the changes the vinyards have brought. I set out from Matiatia at high tide, could not see a way north so asked a local.
"The tide is in so you will have to take the goat track" was the reply
They showed me said goat track and it proved to be as described but luckily only for the first 100 metres or so thereafter becomming quite well formed.
An easy find, spot on the co-ords.
I have heard of Mule trains and Camel Trains but this area has the first Dog train I have come across. Very interesting.
Took the coin otherwise TNLN
Thanks for the cache
