Good start to the day. A short walk to GZ. Luckily we had what was required with us in the hire car to gain access to the cache. The cache contents is saturated. We were not willing to touch the slimy log book so instead signed a piece of notepaper and placed that in a sealed baggy so that others can enjoy this arvhived cache. TFTC.
Cache is archived as it is in poor condition and the cache owner no longer lives in Cairns to maintain it.
TFTC very wet needs to be cleaned couple of cane toads been resting on cache TN/LN

Finally got down to do some work on this. It is ready for action and picked up the TBs as they been here for a while. Dropped a couple of cool hints to travel.
Sorry everyone, had a bit of ill health in the family. Off to Port Douglas for the holidays, will attend to this one as soon as possible
I have just returned from overseas, will attend to this one soon to fix up
Cache owner has moved away from Cairns and is no longer able to maintain this cache, so it has been temporarily disabled to allow those that found it but could not access it to log it as a find. It will be permanently disabled in a week or so.
I would love to log this one as a found, but it is a DNF as we could not access the prize. Used some metal leverage tools but was not able to grab it. Owner might want to pop in with some heavy duty persuasion tools to fix this one up.

Another day in Cairns, on our travels around Australia.
Cache sight located easily, but needed a lever to get the lid off.
Sighted a trackable, and left a trackable.
Thanks for the cache, a herd of camels.

So this was it. Fangsoki and I had wound up in Cairns for 3 days and had the whole time to grab geocaches. Our flight was due to leave soon and this was the final of 108 finds for the trip. Not too bad if you ask me. Fang parked the recently cleaned hire car (we might have gotten it a bit dirty while caching around) nearby and wandered in. There were some muggles across the road, but paid us no attention. After looking about I inspected something odd and sure enough, there was the cache. This would be an awkward one to explain if you got sprung. TFTC a herd of camels, now off to the airport
This was the next cache Captain Terror and I went for while visiting the area.
Our final find for the day. The co-ords for this one could not have been more spot on if they tried. We found the container tucked neatly away. Glad the little park was abandoned - might have had some explaining to do. TFTC a herd of camels

In Cairns for a few months visiting family and escaping the winter in Adelaide . An easy find and retrieve. All was wet so sat in car with heater on to dry the log. Lucky was not too hot today but still had all doors open. Cleaned off all the mud and placed a travel bug. T.F.T.C.
17:20 - Found GZ and then realized I didn't have the required tool returned to hired cache mobile which had the tool required in boot Cache was very quickly retrieved and logged.

The clue sort of gave a good hint on this one but not any more than the previous logs. I think there are too many spoilers in the texts below but then - that's just me. It didn't leave much up to the imagination upon approaching this one. I was a clever hide and cachers should enjoy getting to this cache but more so if they don't read too much into the previous logs.
Well done and TFTC herd_of_camels Cache and container all in good order

Arrived to GZ and needed a tool to open the cache location. It's amazing what one can find in your car.
After getting access to the cache the cache was a bit damp.

Can't believe there is a Hollywood blvd near GZ

Easy find, not so easy open. In the end used a gas strut off the ute canopy door! Tip:insert lever, press *down* on lever. A line might help you too. T:car L:whistles. TFTC
Had a tool handy so was able to get this one quite easily. TNLN TFTC no maintenance required
Found it, could even see it but cache was simply not openable tried a sizeable stick for leverage but it simply snapped top and base seem solidly fused.
found cache while out caching with uncopyrighted! found ourselves in a pickle when we did not have tools for this cool little cache. Its was all good got a little creative with the rubbish around the area. Thanks for sharing!

Found this cache while out Geocaching with BlondeAtTheRoots. Visiting Australia to dive the Great Barrier Reef and see the solar eclipse. This one caught us by surprise. We forgot to bring a tool (since we are travelling, we couldn't bring our tools with us), so we had to improvise with some local rubbish, using a part of a swing set and a doorknob as a hammer. Quite interesting. Thanks for the cache!
Cache container and log book were in good shape.
Took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log book.

Found whilst in Cairns, but travellers make sure you carry a small metal leverige in your suitcase for this one. A great hide and well thought out. Thanks for taking us to this Estate and lovely park. We managed this on public transport and a short stroll.

Found on an afternoon of geocaching whilst visiting Cairns for the Queens Birthday long weekend. TFTC
Easy find but needed help to access. Took some tools with but needed to go back to toolbox for better tools. Great spot for a cache!

replaced cache with a same sized sistema container new log book and all old log book was not salvageable needed tools to get to this one tftc
Needs help:( but the bush bees are thriving! Nice spot for Winney the Poo. Nice hide just need a new container. I didn't bring any repair equipment... Sorry..
Ahh extremely itchy after this find.. Cache in desperate need of repair.. I was unable to sign log.. TNLN.
Needed tools to access cach emptied water from container, Native bees building hive around cach
I poured the water from the container and bag, but cannot physically log the visit
Took a little effort to retrieve this one. Impressive crunchy seed pods! Cheers Gav [8981]
Logbook dried out OK and is still usable. Cache container cannot stay dry when submerged (tested at home), so I have replaced it with a Tupperware container (don't tell Mrs Banjo).
Finders - please stay quiet - the nearby dog is the only muggle you should have to worry about. It's an easy find. PLEASE take your time and re-pack the cache carefully to keep it watertight.

Found it OK. But it was FULL of water and the dog was barking, so I have removed the cache (on Monday 4pm local time) to bring home for drying out and to replace the logbook if necessary.
It will be back in place in two or three days.

Yet another creative and sneaky hide from the 'Camels'.
Stealth is needed so that the boxer dogs who live in close vicinity to the GZ are not alerted to your presence.
I was wondering about the tyre lever, but now it all makes perfectly good sense. TNLN.

Brahms6 found this straight away after driving up and down a lot of streets to find the way in. Took Action Figure and left a Sheep and a Rabbit. Signed the Log. It was good advice to take the tyre lever in.TFTC
a cute little frog greeted us at this cache....is it poisonous? is everything in Australia dangerous? Well froggy didn't want anything to do with us, so he hid, we signed and replaced cache and went home to pack. TFTH
Well the clue does become rather apparent when you get to GZ. Foundwith waynecarly this afternoon after entering wrong coords last night. Finally onto the right spot now the only problem is access... after finding the necessary caching equipment in the boot of the car the cache was in hand. Clever little hiding spot, i just wish the neighbours dog would put a sock in it. Took nothing and signed log. Cheers
We located gz easily (and seemed to be annoying the nearby dog) but we were unable to retrieve the case. After going back to the car, rummaging around and locating a jack handle we had success. Chatmanais and I signed the log and left the dog in peace. TFTC
Found in the rain in the only place it could have been. Very wet in there but the rack keeps it out of the water. The container was wet inside, but the double bagged log was ok. Thanks A Herd of Camels.
Our final cache for the day - boy it seems like Camels are everywhere in Cairns not many superstars on Hollywood Bvd today though! LOL. Great hide - we love these sneeky ones.
Found it! I'd suggest to take a metal tool of sorts to help you get at this loot. Helps to have one in your car!
This one was a nice and easy find. Ballbag quickly found the container and Bumblebee signed the log. This would be a great area to bring the pups for a run, and it is quiet too. Took nothing but left a New Holland deck of cards.

Dropped by today to put a new log book into the cache. When replacing cache please ensure lid is on tight, as the cache is partially submerged at times of very heavy rain.
Last one in Cairns for this trip. Since everything is still wet I left an "emergency logbook" in a plastic bag until the owner finds time to replace the original.

Found on our holiday to Cairns. Hired a scooter to travel around the caches.
Great place lots of good caches.

Found at 5.20pm GAFF1. We love these well crafted hides. Also shows that the owners are taking a lot of pride in what they do. Thanks for your efforts.
While replacing the cache we suddenly glimpsed in the sunlight hundreds of sand flies hovering around the cache - we ran! Just getting over a bout of those nasty biters from 2 weeks ago.
Thanks A Herd of Camels.
