Needed a cache today, decided to do this lingering multi. Nice new location and unknown link to rocks road. Multi simple enough and quite quickly found at gz, tftc!
Have had the answer for this for a long time but finally got around to grabbing today. Nicely hidden. All dry even though it has lost its lid. Thanks for the multi.
Not sure if it is still there or not. Looks like there has been some work done in the area and it might have been disturbed?
With a bit of searching, I had the final coords before I left home. I still double checked them when I arrived just to be certain I didn't follow any wild geese.
As I approached GZ, I figured out where to look, so it became a matter taking them one by one. TFTC.

I made the short walk up and at first didn't even see the plaque. I'm not used to looking for something so big! Then off to the clever final hide I went. No-one was around today which made things easy. Thanks for showing my something new and interesting.
Seems to be a day of multicaches - we did maybe six of them today (okay, okay, it's a day of traditionals. We did a load of those!)
Nice easy find.
At last my railway series is finished! Yay! So I am back in Nelson for the third weekend in a row to actually place the final Nelson rail cache, completing the story of the line. As (nearly) always, I have Taybeedragon in tow.

.After a quick stop in town we venture towards Tahanui. Stopped of at this little reserve to walk up the path to find the plaque for this multi. Great bit of local history. So now back down to get this one snagged and tagged. Cheers
Its a flying visit to Nelson today instead of flying out to USA. So another early start picking up The Seagnoid at 6am and heading over the hill to amble about Nelson on a fine cool day. Another great caching day and exploration over the hill.

What a another interesting place for ever with a cache thats defies gravity. TFTC
I stopped past here yesterday to grab the details I needed and then did the solve last night which brought me back today. Cool mission and really good hide. Well done Kiwi_Explorer and thanks.
I was in Nelson today on an exploratory tour, a beautiful town.
I was again lured to great viewpoints and I was told the history of this town.
I walked almost 20 km through Nelson and could find many hidden cans.
This one was also there and I registered in the LB.
Thanks to all owners for this wonderful day.
Many greetings from Cologne.

A quick and straight forward multi, thanks for the cache KE. Nicely hidden too.
I had planned to go boating today with some colleagues, but apparently the recent bad weather has made it not clear enough for snagging crayfish, so with the day free I decided instead on a trip over the hill to snag some caches.
Good fun today, a nice mixture including some wherigos and a virtual and they were all in pretty good shape. Thanks to all COs.

Wow an interesting but of history to top off my interesting drive around nelson's hill roads. Never would've known this was here, thanks very much!
Quick find when we were out and about at Tahuna enjoying a walk around Rocks Road to the port. Quick find, interesting little 'resting' place. Wouldn't have known it was there but for geocaching. Thanks for the cache
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
Although Nelson was already part of the tour back in 2017, due to the bad weather [xx(] there was not much of caching [B)] then.
So today (#24) with splendid, sunny weather was dedicated to make up for that and to tour around the beautiful area of Nelson and Richmond - by foot and by car .
There were some cool challenge-caches to be collected ....
And on top, the goal was to manage finding 7 different cache-types in one single day - YESSSS!!! [^] [^]
So I was busy to pick up a lot of cute local treasures [^] - just like this one:
Gotcha!
This was my fourth attempt today to get hold of a multi cache...
Two finals were closed because of the fire danger [xx(] and one was obviously gone ...
So I was more than glad to get hold of this nicely hidden treasure!
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and best regards from Germany!

Headed into town to swap a bag of stuff with our daughter. Had to stay and cuddle our grandson. Eventually headed off again made for this cache. A quick grab and then back into the queue of traffic all the way to Mapua. Forgot it was Friday and long weekend. Seems every man and his dog is going somewhere with a caravan. tftc
I had some things to do in the "Big Smoke" today. I decided I'd try and sign off on some Multi caches that I had part done previously while I was in town. TFTC
Paddle chick and I went out to get a few caches as paddle chick had already done this one it didn't take long to get this multi with pc help. Thanks for this multi Kiwi_Explorer
I was dropped up here so I could walk along rocks road to find a few geocaches. The numbers were easy. I knew the walkway existed as you can see the steep steps from the road but I didn't know the steps were that steep. I broadened my focus on the search which led to me finding the cache. Find #476
I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.
Day 4. Nelson. This was the second day of 4 that Mrs Yeetrees had to attend classes and lectures at the ANZEG Conference 2018, while she was doing this it was my aim to go around the CBD and nearby and see if I could pick up a few of the harder caches around the area. This included a few different types of caches rather than just hitting traditional drive by caches.
After finding GC3M34V - CANZ: Nelson, this was the next cache that I had on my list that I wanted to find today. Arriving near the walkway entrance, I decided that I would park on Malcolm Place, I managed to find a carpark not too far from the published GZ.
Walked down to GZ and soon realised what I was looking at, was able to gather all the numbers that I required to get the final location for this cache, and since I had my invisibility cloak on no one paid any attention as to what I was doing.
Decided to leave the car where it was and walk to GZ from here, it was a great walk as it gave me another opportunity to stretch my legs. Finally arriving near the final, I soon realised what the hint meant, and after a short search I found its very clever hiding spot.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back as found. Thanks Kiwi_Explorer for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13611). Great spot for a cache, a very clever hide indeed.
This cache deserves a favourite point. Now to make my way back to the car and see what else I can find.

First find of the day with NZDi. It is Easter weekend and we have decided to take a break. Today we travelled to Motueka in preparation for a day trip on the Abel Tasman track. Tomorrow we get picked up from Marahau by shuttle and taken to Kaiteriteri, from there it is on a water taxi to Anchorage and we then make outr way back to Marahau, picking up caches along the way. And finally on Sunday we will head back home dropping in at the Mapua Easter Fair on the way.
Today wasn't supposed to be a big caching day, but some bright spark at GCHQ dreamt up the Planetary Pursuit which put paid to that. Fortunately, I have almost 100 solved but unfound puzzles, multis and challenges in the greater Nelson area, so it is time to put them to work.
We stopped by here earlier in the year but c:geo wouldn't settle down and give us a decent fix, so we stopped again today to see if the better weather would give us a better result... and it did, although it took a fair bit of force to move the cache from its hidey hole.

Found on a Saturday morning walk into the market.
All in good order, signed log and returned as found.
A spectacular view.

Bad days at work are always improved by caching after work and given the heavy rain this morning I had the car so took a wee tiki tour after work to the parking area and talk a wee walk. Missed the cemetery the first time but discovered it on the return walk. With dates in hand sorted out the GZ and headed off for the brief walk. Based on the additional info figured out the hide fairly quickly and signed log. Cache and log all in good order, TFTC and drawing attention to an interesting part of the local history.
I had worked this one out a few weeks ago, and at the time I decided to leave it until a rainy day. Well this was the rainy day, so a quick find was made. I had never explored this area - now I have. Exploring new areas and pathways is one of the things I love about geocaching. Thanks Kiwi_Explorer for the cache
mrs capperz has headed across the Cook Strait to visit our North Island family and I don't have enough leave to be able to go along too, stink. So, for this 3 day long weekend it's just me and (former) nightowl19 keeping up the Marlborough end of the deal. I decided a three prong attack would be the deal for this weekend; 'Nelson' (and surrounds) on Saturday, French Pass/Bulwer on Sunday and Northbank on Monday. And so it was. I managed a respectful 31 caches on the Saturday and headed over the hill at a decent time (much to miss 15's disgust) but we had a couple of nice walks in the Nelson sunshine and found some cool caches, including a mighty 6 Multi caches.
Had always wondered why there was not a cache f=down this way, now I know. We parked in the lower position and headed up to get the detail. Soon had a set of likely numbers and went to G . Whilst not risking life or limb we made the find. Been a while since this was last found

Checked on cache after seeing the DNF and no logs for quite a while. Cache still in place although lid is missing. Log dry.

After dropping off the relocation rental at the airport I started the walk back to Nelson hoping to find a few caches on the way. By the day was over I had walked over 20 km including a walk up to the Centre of NZ.
I enjoyed the little walk up and down the hill and found the cache at accurate coordinates.

A glorious Sunday for to tackle some local multis although some lumpy clouds over the Arthur Range might put an early end to today's activities. First time I've had the time or reason to stop in this area of Nelson and I was rewarded with some lovely views of Fireshire Rock and Tasman Bay.
This was one of those caches that offers many possible but few logical hiding places. Those with sharp eyes to spot something a little unusual should not have too much trouble with this one.
Thanks. #205

A cool multi. Did the sums, followed the GPS and voila. There it was. What a lovely part of the universe. It as lovely here this evening. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Stopped by this multi while in Nelson for the morning, soon worked out the location of the final and made a quick find of the cache there, after a short walk in the rain. A nice little multi, TFTC!

A nice multi while out with StickmanNZ. This used to be an old running circuit for a few of us locals and a nice piece of local history, TFTC.
I didn't rest. I went ka-pow! Bam! In lightning fast, record timings, I was into it!
Thanks Kiwi Explorer, another clever and interesting cache.

Left our bikes to make the walk to do the multi, and ended up back at our bikes! Soon spotted something a little unusual, and voila! A joy to find.
Found this easy multi after failing at ToDays Vague Directions. Was not my best idea to do a cache on a cemetry at night but found it in the end!

Today when daddy got home from work we all went for a walk with aunty Rachel. I slept through the whole thing! Daddy knew there had been a cache here before so told us roughly where to look and aunty Rachel found it fairly quickly. We didn't know that there was a multi stage but I am sure daddy will show me sometime. It looked like the cache had nor been found for a while so we are glad to be able to check it. Tftc
Evening walk with the family, a member of the penguins visiting from Wellington, integersmirk and merrystinga. Tftc
I'd been thinking this place would be a good place for another Paddle Chick cache so was a little disappointed when I realised it was taken. I enjoyed this little multi, another piece of Nelson's history i didnt know TFTC
I'd never known about this cemetery but for geocaching. The coords were soon assembled and the hunt was on. A clever hide and a fav. TFTC
I had known of this cemetery but had never been here but as is the case with so many different places I probably still wouldn't have but for geocaching. This cache is one of those which kept dropping off the radar on the way to or from somewhere so a dedicated visit was chosen. Although I was expecting something a bit more extensive it is a nicely preserved piece of Nelson history.
The required info was soon gained then it was off to find the final. A very clever hide indeed. TFTC.

I enjoyed this puzzle and the final hide was very devious. Took me a while to find it but got there in the end....very clever!!!
What an unusual spot for a cemetary but a great way to lead up to a well hidden cache that had me going for a while. Well done and definetely worth a Favourite . TFTC
Did this on way to beach for lunch. Niether of us been up the track. Really enjoyed it, the wp1 and the final. Wasn't even any grumbles about "up" , which actually ain't that bad. Nice one.
Nice cache though the GPS struggled to get there. Are their remains still there or just a memorial plaque?
In a far far away time, long before earthquakes (well, about ten days before, actually), Annie & PB went geocaching in Nelson for Annie’s birthday. Some of the caches never got logged, and this was one of them. So we’re logging it now – with a, hopefully, never-to-be-repeated, repetitive log.
So, thanks for your cache, and I’m pretty sure we signed the log. We maybe even took a coin or TB on further travels, or possibly dropped one off. [?]
Annie spotted this one, but PB had to extract it! Nice to see something a bit different,

Started this the other night but muggles at GZ prevented a search. Back today for a quick find.

We've driven past many times this week, and I always wondered if there was a cache here - now I know! Very interesting, thanks for bringing me here.
#1762 (14/19 on day 7 in Nelson). Parked at the top earlier in the afternoon and got the final coords. Decided to pickup the cache later, en route back to the unit. Was raining, so we wanted to keep things quick. Luckily it didn't take took too long to spot the cache. TFTC.
Always knew there would be a cache here and now finally got round to it! TFTC and a really clever hide ; )
Quick find on the way to work. Legs were creaking a little bit from last night's old goat. So to speak.
A brilliant cache. I always thought there should be a cache in that spot. Found it unobserved, then had to wait for AGES until the two vehicles that drove in right at that moment left again! Thanks, Jackie, and Tess the dog.
Great little spot thanks for bringing us here. A look around the area then i worked out from the clue as Niteowlnz zeroed in on the GPS. Soon had cache in hand TFTC
What a great spot of history (how did you hide this spot from USA Kiwi ) enjoy finding these history spots in the middle of suburbia followed gps but it was a bit erratic near GZ so just as I was zeroing in Stretch0 had smile on his face and the cache in his hand ( is it coincidence that I have the gps and he has the pda with clue on it - i think not !!!!!!!) thanks for the cache
It had to be there, it just had to be there! I knew those kinds of caches, and there was no other hiding place ...
But it wasn't... Until I realized how short my fingers were hehe
TFTC, what a great multi!!

3213. We are starting to think that we should keep a data base of all the grave information we gather as need to revisit the same places and gather similar information so often! However it was a good little walk and then a quick find. We were fascinated by the building going on on an adjacent property as we contemplated the access problems for the builders.
Thanks

Apparently all is well so no need for maintenance. Thanks for visiting our cache.
Couldn't find the cache. After an extensive search did we find the logbook in the bush without a box. It looks like the cache is destroyed.
Sorry, Mr KE, your cache is fine. Did a mistake with the log
Nice place, but it was very busy during the day so we went back at night

Parked up the top as suggested and walked nice peaceful spot its been a while since I was up their.. good to see some more cunning hides coming out.
Found GZ but was seriously muggled out so came back later and took a little time to reveal the very clever hide. Really enjoyed this cache and others like it.

Found with Marchwood and the converted cacher. Had to go back a second time to actually find it. Good place. TFTC.
Great we multi, thanks. We never new this walkway existed. Parked at the top, answered the questions, left Ms M and Grumpy Ant to "go find" and drove around to the bottom to pick them up. They REALLY don't do hills! Found after a bit of head scratching. Nice hide. TFTC
This track was a regular harrier day jaunt (many years ago) and it is nice that fellow geocachers are being encouraged to visit these historic spots. A quick find, brilliant sunny afternoon and great view! TFTC.
One of many finds on our first full day in Nelson. Great views in this area on a lovely day. Thanks for bringing us up here.
Well unlike the previous loggers I didnt know this place existed, so fun to discover. Bumped into Hello Mrs and Lytelton Witch as they found another cache near my home, they found this one directly prior to me. Great hide! TFTC!
A very worthy replacement for the cache that was here previously. Hopefully it will make people feel a lot safer! Did have to encourage Mrs B to check where the GPS zeroed out as in her enthusiasm she started where she thought it should be and found that tough going. Once the GPS was consulted it was in hand within seconds. Yay for technology . TFTC.
