We pulled up and the local army called CHARGE!!!!! - Well that is Mr Simia's story and he is hell bent on sticking to it.....and it sure did take a bit of coaxing to get him out of the car.
Thankfully a muggle pulled up not long after and distracted them and he finally got out and joined the team to hunt this. After about half an hour and with a pending engagement we had to abort with no cache found.
Mr Simia is sure those ducks and geese were laughing at us as we pulled away.

nice quick find, although walking around in that ducky mess made the car stink like duck poo for the rest of the trip home =/ TFTC!!!!
Was a little more exposed then expected, chucked a couple of leaves on top before I left, still pretty clearly visible if you're looking though . The main shock was the GIANT huntsman that come sprinting out of the hiding place when I tried to return the cache . TFTC!
pi day pies were done, so we came over to this cache.
fond it pretty easily as there were a nujmber of folk allready surrounding the cache!

The rain was an issue for the muggles as there were none but it wasn't for the ducks as about ducks descended on us when we arrived. Cache was quickly found. TFTC
Deputy D0g (previous finder) showed us what to do at GZ and he really has a way with the birds too.......well the ducks at least TFTC
After a bit of confussion with GPS doing funky things due to the weather,
Youngest cruiserdude found the cache.
Had a bit of a girly dance as he picked up the cache as there was a huntsman spider on it that he didn't see.

Dodged thw ducks and found the cache. Left nothing but picked up the Krasser Flitzer TB and will drop off at the ""Between bored and dammed" site. It's only a couple of K's north of the airport so maybe somebody heading OS via Newcastle Airport might pick it up on their way through.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were swarmed by ducks and geese charging at us. Shortly realised they werent interested in us but someone else had left a heap of bread right where we'd parked. After feeding the ducks and chasing them around for a while we went of to claim this one. Left TB, thanks for a fun cache

Dropping in some of our new Geocoins to get their journey started. Will be dropping them off down the South Coast and Canberra over the next week.
Guess what we forgot the bread!.
They were not too happy (the ducks that is!)
We found the cache whilst surrounded by a thousand feathered friends.
I'm sure sure they guard the Cache in payment for food.
Great Cache thanks!

Got quite a surprise to be greeted by so many big birds - they were very inquisitive and not the least bit shy. Found the cache quickly before quacking off. TFTC.
Found this one on the way to Hawks Nest to drop off my eldest. The duck were behaving themselves this morning.
Team Casho’s Boy weekend of caching up north.
With the girls at home the boys decided to go a caching.
Armed with a list of lower end caches. No disrespect to the caches or their owners there were many wonderful caches, locations and things to see in our travels. We just set up a search for those with a terrain level of around 2 – 2 ½ for this trip to build up our numbers heading towards our 1000th find in our first year. As this was the case many of our logs would just read easy find so to expand on that we are including a run down on bits of our trip in all logs.
Trip
Wollongong – Raymond Terrace – Nelsons Bay and home via the Central Coast area.
Visiting relo’s while in the area (I know a major waist of caching time).
Found not only our 900th find but also out 950th, on our way to the big 1000.
Things we seen
Views, fireworks, kids jumping their bikes off the end of a wharf, a kangaroo, a koala, crabs by the hundreds, lizards, a crock, a turtle, kookaburra, aliens, ducks, dogs, boats, tankers, a weather station, the Coast Guard, police, ambulance and the fire brigade and that was just for starters.
Removed a box of matches from a cache in a bush area. Not such a good idea I thought.
Got bitten by mozzies, invaded by school kids while trying to return a cache, did some 4 wheel driving, got busted by muggles, introduced my muggle family to caching, collected some travellers, found some new and interesting hide styles and carried out maintenance on several caches while on the go. On the way home had to take the long way due to a fatal car accident on Picton Rd. Stopped to help a driver who got a puncher as a result of the accident. Seen his car fall off the jack while we were passing by, legs under the car (all ok there thankfully). Kids got paid for our assistance as I would not accept the money. This detour proved longer then it should have due to the 3 new caches in Appin last week.
Our thanks to the girls for allowing us to cache without then (not that they had any other choice) and the many cache owners who placed the caches we attended.
We look forward to catching up with fellow cacher’s at the Geocaching Association of NSW Nurragingy Christmas Party GC1ZCCX December 12 2009, were all going well this will be our 1000th find.
Looks like the Oz Wagga Wagga Mega Event (April 2-5, 2010) GC1Y5R has just hit the MEGA requirements and we can’t wait to be part of it.
Merry Christmas
Happy and safe caching.

I pulled up and three geese came running over. Being a little reticent about geese, I wondered whether I should just DNF and not even get out of the car. When they realized I had no bread, they quickly melted away. Whew! It was nice that I even saw a gosling.
Nice spot - thanks Jumpedin2it

I don't quite remember wrestling a huntsman with bare hands but there was indeed a big spider near the cache, and I was keen not to step on him or hurt him, so I offered him some encouragement to move on. But I don't mind the comparison (below) with Lara Croft, no matter how ridiculous that is [:o)] thanks McPhan. Thanks Jumpedin2it.
OK time to own up ..... I was a little tipsy after the event and cant recall a great deal but this cache is showing up in my field notes on my oregon as 'found' so one can only hope I did.

I have a vivid recollection on this trip of seeing a large furry spider sitting in the torchlight between Mrs Winglen's dancing shoes. It wasn't moving anywhere, which was boring. That was, until Mrs Winglen gave it a prod with here finger to wake it up! That was a bit jaw-dropping - rather her than me! Somewhere in amongst all this excitement we found a cache and signed a log. Thanks jumpedIn2It.
Did you notice that I didn't stoop to mentioning that this was our 66th find of the invasion weekend - as digitally recorded by our Kiwi companion?
2167. One of the cache few finds this trip not signed with the LCP. Probably as it was off listening to the sound of running water. Anyway I came back to see Mrs Winglen wrestling with a huntsman with her bare hands. No wonder I've likened her to Lara Croft.

Another cache I visited twice in two days - and on the second visit I still couldn't locate the cache immediately - my excuse was that it was dark. Definitely no ducks on it for us on either visit - they were obviously tucked up in bed. TFTC.

Found on the way home from work. What should have been a quickish find took a little longer. Obviously with the Urban Cache Pirates out and about some owners might go to some extremes to protect thier caches, but to post a gaggle of guard geese is going overboard I'm thinking. TNLN TFTC

Decided to go for a run with the dogs this afternoon and thought - why not run to a nearby cache. I grabbed Molly and Kostya and off we went.
Well when we were almost there, Molly decided to Duck on in and Jumpedin2it (the pond that is.) She slipped her collar and took off into the pond to swim with the ducks.
Once I got her under control we found the cache easily.
Thanks Jumpedin2it for the cache
Took: some water from the pond and a whole heap of mud

There were certainly a lot of waterfowl here - not just ducks. A brief search son turned up the cache as there weren't that many likely candidates.
Fun spot. We always take visitors to the Terrace to this spot as the ducks etc are amazing!!

Way out in the open, too open for me, but C'est la vie. As I was signing ther log, muggles turned up, and the kids started to want to feed the ducks. It was a real problem, as they were hanging round really close to GZ. I contemplated replacing in another location within 10 metres, until a call from Mrs Bundy. She had seen the GPS that the muggles were carrying, and deduced correctly they were cachers as well, after the same cache.
We had a chat, and after we all signed the log, we went our seperate ways.
Found at 1335 hrs, number 8 for today.
